After what has felt like a long winter with lots of rain out caching today was simply superb- not too hot, not too cold, just right!!
Cache out of its hide. Looks like
It’s been chewed on. Log now saturated along with contents. Placed back where we thought it should be. Needs a bit of a check.

Hi jtnsilo, I found Be Cheerful and Smile today.
Many thanks jtnsilo for providing and maintaining this game piece for our enjoyment.
A caching day in Bendigo with Posums saw us target the smilie face! I really should have read up on it more as I didn’t realise we had to walk a bit! Ha ha. We found all caches in about 3.5hours. It really is such a great series being made up of trads. Well done - not an easy feat!
After spending the week before away caching I thought that I better catch up with a few things around home over this weekend.
Sitting at Friday night my phone went bing and it was a message from Gemma Sistema, the question was asked are we still on for our 6 weekly caching catch up tomorrow.
Opps I had totally forgot about that so the response was of course and what Geovehicle do I need to bring.
A quick run around to get organised and the day was planned.
I’m just the chauffeur on these trips as always Gemma tells me where to go.
Met early in Castlemaine and headed to Bendigo for a fun day out.
After finding a few right in town now to head out to see what Gemma has planned.
No wonder she asked me to bring the Geocruiser when I noticed where we were heading.
How you set this geoart up with trads was a great feat and a lot of effort so well done to you.
Found some tracks that didn’t really appear on the satellite maps on the journey and walked in to a few as well.
A different type of bush out here compared to other places.
All caches found easily with great coords.
Thanks tigersden TFTC.

Extra eyes make for more chances to find, happy to have finally found one myself this time
Saw this series and thought how cool, a completed caches series of smileys of a smiley!. It was nice to park and grab some, walk in the bush to some and wander around the lovely park area. We didn't see any animals though. TFTC
A full afternoon of completing the smile! A great variety of caches to find. This was a beautiful area to explore. Thanks for being us here.
Out for an afternoon drive with Bogonghazy. Finally completing this series. Thanks for placing the geocache
I am having a lot of fun this afternoon thanks, this cache is in good nick too
Just while we negotiate this lockdown period and I can get out there again to do a maintenance run.
With some spiders keeeping watch over this cache container we had to regime him so we could sign the log
As a former member of TeamOZCAT, I am now claiming these caches under my profile as I visited this series on the 12th February, 2021. I have been waiting for the CO to re-enable them whilst I have been living in Shepparton so I may visit them and sign the log a fresh. Maybe one day I will be back there again as planned with someone special in my life. Thank you Tigersden for placing this series.
As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.
If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.
TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse. Again, groundspeak acceptable.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.
I sincerely thank all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Reg

TeamOZCAT left Albury Wodonga Thursday to cache Bendigo district, and some on route. The Smiley series was one, as well as some Adventure Lab and others. We thank all CO's for placing and maintaining their respective caches, and if there were issues, we would have messaged CO with details.
During the afternoon, my brother, who lives nearby, came out to join us. Before the sun went down, we took a walk to find another couple of caches. This one was found in good condition, log signed and tucked away again. Tftc.
Found at 12:12 PM GAFF1.

Found with Tassie expat. See her answers for further tips. Thanks for placing these caches, we had a terrific walk; series like this are the reason I took up geocaching.

Was being watched by some locals. But they soon jumped away. Again the coordinates were spot on.

I normally do my records by phone as I find the cache, but as I was cacheing old school with just a gps and coordinates without maps, my ability to remember which caches where which is somewhere in the beautiful Box- Ironbark Forests.
Overall I loved this series and had wanted to come back since I started the face a few years back. A couple of disappointments. I guess as the cache owners where very harsh in their criticism of a drenching implement cache I have, it stuck in my mind when I found a bullett cartridge and a very realistic looking fake snake But got over these things quickly and loved the walk from cache to cache before heading into bendigo for a weekend down from sydney to look at fire towers.
People are so lucky to live in near these stunning Box - Ironbarks Forests. But stunning as they are, I know of the destruction wrought by humans and I longed to see the really large trees that where hundreds of years old, that exist no more. The barrenness of diversity also effects me, but like scenically I know nature will recover, it just takes hundreds if not thousands of years to recover.
Random favourites awarded for the series. Absolutely loved the walk directly from cache to cache through the bush except for the tracks where trail bike riders are causing a lot of damage. Especially on wet days such as this. And the shits won't go through puddles so just rip up more bush. don't know why they can't just stay on private property.
TFTC TNLN and thanks for the series.

First day back at school for my little geoson, and a lovely cool morning, so I took this opportunity to try to complete the smiley face and get my step count up...which I certainly did! No snakes spotted but heaps of spiders. Thank you for the cache tigersden
I set off from Melbourne, with my bike attached to the car, for a few days of caching around Bendigo. After stopping off for some fuel (a great pie from a local bakery) I headed straight to this series as I really want a smiley face made up of smiley faces.
For some reason I decided to complete the series in a clockwise direction...outer ring first then the facial features on the second lap.
Luckily I have kevlar bands inside my bike tyres as there is a lot of sharp and spiky material around the area. I could have done with some kevlar trousers to protect my legs.
This was a quick find as the container was in the open outside the obvious hide. I returned it back to the hide. TNLN. TFTC.
