Unfortunately in the way of Gap Fillers this one has bit the dust. It has gone from an awesome Monopoly Board to a destroyed digger with the cache missing, so it is time for it to go.
Have to pop this on my dnf list. Poked and prodded. Push and pulled. Twisted and tweaked. Put alais the cache avades me. ....for now
add me to the long list of DNF's Looked and looked and poked screwed and pulled still no joy. Quite a sad looking site did it always look like this. Might not get the chance to return for another look before I leave town.
Wow I have had a few goes at this one , but finally got it, So glad to have this one off my list. TFTC Cheers
This was the start of a bad evening searching. No joy so will return with the young ones to continue the search another day
I knew what I'd be looking for but had struggles of muggles and the concrete really doesn't give you the best " feel" for getting on the digger. Sadly the seat was too wet and missing its upholstery so mr 4 couldn't get on top for a decent photo opportunity
Edit for the date (silly iphone app puts me in american time !)

I have been here before (didn't log DNF as I hadn't given it a long enough search in the drizzle). I don't know why I made it look so hard last time! It was exactly the style of hide I was expecting.

Extra sneaky! Had been here before but hAd no luck. Was not giving up today!!
Another one I didn't find today. Problem being.......everything looked like it should be there. Will put it on watch and return another day.
Whilst on a cyclocache tour of the central city area - taking advantage of the lack of muggles because of the public holiday I swooped around the corner to find 2 people standing beside the digger. They just had to be cachers, surely? They confirmed that fact and that they had found this cache (their eighth of the morning using a cell phone). They advised that they were real newbies having started geocaching only a day or so earlier, after meeting a fellow German tourist further down south. Nice hide macpacfamily. Glad to get this cache out of my unfound list at last.
Nice one! Found this last week but didn't have a pen, was nice to pop in today and finally log it. Thanks heaps, and thanks for the wee hint
Found it together with Team Autoværn on our New Zealand tour back in 2013.

Loved the location, will have to bring boys with me next time. Oh and hubby we both love monopoly.
Just don't love the series as I have yet to find any of them, too well hidden for me.
Thanks for the cache maybe I'll have more luck next time with a few extra sets of eyes doing the searching.

Came here when it first appeared, love it! Love what the gap fillers are doing to our city. Then I came back again when I saw this cache appear, failed to find it, but today, after finding more micro's I decided to give it another go and find it I did!! Clever hide. Thanks!
Enjoyed playing while we looked for this one, eventually felt it just as we were going to leave! Could not extract log book so will email photo to CO to prove we found it. On our way to airport so did not have tweezers etc with us and there is only so much an earring can do!
Have a fav for the fun!

Now this was clever. Good work. Spankymoore took great delight in finding this one before me. I then stuffed the log book down to far with some plastic tweezers so we had to come back with the proper equipment to fix it up. Took a bit of ribbing over this point. TFTC. TSLO
Found with the help of some friendly fellow geocachers from overseas. Thank goodness for their knowledge! I hope they have a fantastic trip geocaching around NZ. TFTC

Geocaching with Jykk€. There was already Victoriasone searching the cache when we got in zero point. It was very nice to have company and nice to met you. We searched this for a while and then we luckily found it. Greetings from Finland. TFTC!

A great spot, and took quite a while to find this sneaky one with GPYesss - but I placed my hands on it in the end. Had to come back the next day with some medical tweezers to extract the logbook. A favourite point from me on this one! TSLO. TFTC.
A couple of visits and an extra hint were needed for this but finally we found it. Thanks macpacfamily.
With a little more information we tried this one again- knowing it had to be there- we were determined to find it. Sneaky! TFTC macpacfamily
Didn't realise this was out of order when we went for a look. Had been looking for a wee bit in the drizzle when a fellow cacher came over to have a chat (knowing only a cacher would be playing in thie weather.....) found OK with a bit of guidance. The log was not wet and seemed to have places to sign, maybe some had been rubbed/washed off? Nice hiding spot. TFTC
Good way to start day 73 of my streak. Had a wee play on the digger and cache was in hand quickly. Needed a wee hint from a previous finder. The GPS was playing nicely today. Last attempt had me in the motorcycle shop next door. Good container. Log is very full and all the signatures are smudged from dampness. Thanks for bringing us to this great wee gapfiller.

Have been advised that log book is full and a bit damp. Won't have a chance to get over for next week or so to fix so temporarily disabling until I can.
4903. Found it very quickly today. Enjoyed the clever hide. Thanks, Rodney and Iris.
Loved this one but ! think the asking price for the street is over priced bY $239, it was very tricky foung with Gracie7 + Mum,
Having DNF'd on previous visit, we were determined to fill this gap if possible! Hmmm after finally getting our hands on the cache today, we could see how it was missed. Really sneaky, & even sneakier logsheet - paper so shiny that signatures are disappearing & even harder to etch another name to the log! Great job, MacPacMum
Our first day in New Zealand started with some sideseeing tour in Christchurch. I was really shocked, when I saw the destroyed city...

Had several good goes at this one and despite I thought I knew what I was looking for was unable to find. Got a nudge from the CO and went for another visit, a cold wet morning so wasn't bothered by the adjacent bikies. Took some time to locate then hey presto I see you. The next challenge was how do i get you little sneak into my big paws... tried different approaches then finally had in my hot little hands. Signed log and carefully replaced. Thanks for the effort in placing and the clever container.
I think the premise of this space is utterly delightful, and I enjoyed seeing the aerial photograph of the site when it was new on the 'house' at GZ. I had lots of fun playing on the equipment, attracted many odd looks (it's not really the sort of thing you'd expect to see an adult doing, is it?) but sadly, wasn't able to find the cache. I did go home smelling oddly of grease and oil, though... Thanks anyway.
Find # 4913 and a total of over 700 in 11 days on the 2nd last day of our NZ Mega trip.
Final day to look around the Christchurch city area. I just loved this country and driving around it looking for caches. Another excellent cache and hide that also took a long time to find. I searched everywhere until I checked a few spots I thought I had tried earlier. TFTC macpacfamily,
Roostaman.

After arriving back in Christchurch the night before, C62 wanted another go at this cache to onercome the DNF logged. We arrived in the morning & spent some considerable time searching the area. Obviously there was one spot that we didn't search before. Then C62, with the usual grin on his face when he find a cache, told me he had it. Tricky hide. Hopefully next time I come to NZ, Christchurch will be bigger & better than ever. TFTC

We had arrived back in Christchurch yesterday after attending the Mega Event down in Dunedin and as our flight back to Australia didn't leave until later this afternoon, I suggested to Geotooter we should have another look for this one. I had DNFed it 10 days ago and it was bugging me that we didn't complete the task. So back we went and began the hunt all over again. Another 20 minutes went by as we scoured that digger. I was ready to give up! I let my fingers do some searching and..... wait.... what was that.... YES!!! the cache was in my hand. With great relief Geotooter and I signed the log. We departed with big smiles. This hide did not beat us. Thanks macpacfamily for showing us this artistic use of the space.

We spent a while looking without success, then concluded the time spent here was taking away from other enjoyable caches nearby. Lots of caches in Christchurch to find.
We are in town from across the ditch to attend the NZ Mega Event down in Dunedin. We arrived onsite to find this quite amazing concept and loved seeing the houses, the "playing piece" and the artwork on the ground although much of it seems to be disappearing, unfortunately. And so began our search. We weren't quite sure what we were supposed to be looking for but searched what we considered to be every likely spot without success. In the end we decided to move on. Hopefully, we will get another opportunity to come back to this location next week when we return to catch our flight home. Although it was a DNF today, we really enjoyed coming here and seeing some of the creativity amongst the destruction. Many thanks macpacfamily.
Been meaning to see this for some time. Ran into an engineer that was involved in making this site happen and chatted to him whilst Moneydork logged the find. Cheers Gav +1
In Christchurch today to explore this beautiful city on my way to the NZ Mega in Dunedin... My heart goes out to all those affected by the earthquake... I am looking forward to visiting again in the future as the city rebuilds from this tragedy...
The weather was lovely here today. Warm in the car & a cool breeze outside...
Grabbed this cache whilst travelling & taking photos around this city...
Thanks For The Cache macpacfamily

Knew what we were looking for as we arrived at the location. Found it easily enough. Neat container- very fitting.
Went for a look this morning and couldn't find it, but stopped back in afternoon and was quickly in hand! #304
After some complaints I have upped the difficulity rating and put an extra comment in the hints.
Feel that some caches need to have that little bit of extra challenge. Due to the high possibility of being muggled in the gap fillers, I have tried to make the caches blend in. I didn't succeed well enough at Gap Filler Three, hence it already having been archived.

Felt very uncomfortable looking here, feel that the owner really needs to help out with more directions or hints as it stands, this cache is a poor one to do.
Must be cache blind &/or plain tired as this is our 3rd DNF in a row at the end of an otherwise good caching day of 18 caches found.
Went to check on status of cache - took me a while to find it due to cache creep. Have replaced it where it was originally placed.
Have to admit this is our second time here, and we even had Two Muggles helping us,but had no luck back then.Came back today, had the place to ourselves, and found it.Liked the Container.TFTH.
Second time here, 2 tourist buses siting outside GZ, but determined to get this one, we carried on and very quickly had cache in hand, nice wee hide tftc
Had been here a few times. Once with a group of school kids and no luck. My skills were not showing however tonight I spotted it and could see how I missed it previously. Very nice.
The second find of the gap filler series and true to form a real micro. Nicely done amidst the monopoly pieces.
Second visit to this cache, after a good look around we soon had the microcache in hand.
Sneaky but fun to poke around on the thing. Didn't dare sit on that seat after reading the previous log and knowing how much rain we've had. The log was hard as heck to write on, but we managed. Thanks for a clever cache.
My coords were right on the button on my Montana. Cunning little cache and good to find as the artist was trying to give all a little uplift and a find does that as well. Thanks.
Geez mum I've wet my pants sat to have a play and then I hear the sound of rushing water - don't be a big kid and sit on the seat after rain or else it could be embarrasing.
Co-ords were still showing 14m on the gps but figured Macpacmum wouldn't put it in the concrete wall. Found with a little hint from RuruNZ after I wrung my pants out a bit. Signed log and replaced. Thanks for letting me be a big kid and bringing me to see the game board.

What great idea it would be good if it could become a permanent icon. A point of rememberance thanks for bringing us here
First find back home after a wee holiday. Met ruru_nz at gz. A sneaky hide. Thanks for the find.
Came into town to show my mother-in-law the current sights off the city. Thought we might stop at the cardboard cathedral site, but with the imminent implosion of the radio building there were not only muggles in flouro vests, but a fence as well.
With all the empty spaces, I thought I should show her some of the interesting things, like the gap fillers, like this one in particular.
Had a first look then joined the rest of the carload in the model shop. Came out and they offered to look with me ... but ... Someone else is at GZ .. "Looking for something?" I asked. "Same thing as you" was the reply. It was karma reprint. We all looked in silence for a while, and I soon saw something that had potential. A bit of manoeuvring, and soon had container in hand. Mother-in-law was amazed that I'd found it - "how did you know that was it?" She asked. "Experience" was karma reprint's reply. We both signed and the container was soon back in place.
Seem to meet another cacher at GZ about once every 100 caches.

fantastic feature - loved coming here . Cache did not prove too much difficulty thank goodness LGM
Came out in the cold, dark drizzley evening....before all that olympic rowing
A systematic search (with a bit of torch action) with no one else around and I soon spotted the prize. Very nicely done & on a very cool 'Gap Filler' feature. Cheers.

Out with MacPacFamily Mum and Son, JustMeG and Konadog. Kind of have to try this, having the CO and FTF with us...
Lovely cache, a very good hide!

Based on others success in the dark, and being in town I diverted here for another go. Spied something promising after nearly 10 mins of methodical searching and thankfully it was the cache. TFTC - a favourite.

looking4thebroc, Michelle and I came straight here after finding the Cardboard Cathedral. After my daylight attempt I vowed to come back some time with a few less eyes around, this was a perfect time since we were already close by. The hide seemed impossible, so many nooks and crannys for anything to be hidden. We were just about to give up when I spotted something that looked out of place... something that Michelle and Broc had already looked at, bingo. I was aware of other gap fillers around the city but had no idea about this one, very cool indeed! I can't wait to be taken to more of these cool locations! TFTC (776)
Found with Dan Reilly at night when the search wasn't so conspicuous. Great place for a cache and nice needle in a haystack. Cheers
277 - FTF with Babagirl11 - her first geocache! I loved playing Monopoly as a kid, and then again with my own children. It has always fascinated me to see the street names here in Christchurch but was even better when, a few years ago, I visited the real places with one of my sons. What a cool idea as a gap filler, and I loved the playing piece, even painted the right colour! This was a brilliant idea for a series, and am really looking forward to seeing what the next one will be. TFTC

Had a good hunt, but unable to find, then back to the warm car, will try again.
Neat gap filler. Cold got the best of us as we were not dressed for a prolonged hunt.
Ran out of time to have a proper look, also I felt as though I was being watched from the car dealers across the road, I probably wasn't. Another time, possibly in the dark.
Had a quick look while on a tour of the CBD with Nodo. Not enough time for a proper look for a needle in a haystack! We will be back. Rodney and Iris.
TFTC. STF - much to my surprise at 2pm. The rain stopped just for me to have a wander and long look at this great instillation. Thanks for placing a cache here and inviting me to revisit the inner city.
