Completing the run out to Braidwood via Captains flat today to collect a number of caches. TFTC
#12434 - 11:30:00 AM; Decided to head out to Captains Flat and collect a few of the unfound caches on my list. Managed six from eight with a couple of DNFs thrown in on a damp mid-morning run. Driven past this one a few times lately, so nice to stop for the find today. TFTC Marble Droppers
Was worried the rain might have made this inaccessible. But ended up finding without too much fuss.
Nice cache container, bit different from usual.

Wow - we so lucky to be able to explore so many different areas of the Aussie landscape following our passion for the geo game, particularly in the company of Alansee, Good Look, Micaparamedic, Team Crackers and The Drovers. (For economy of space logs of caches we found are stamped "The Mob"
Another fabulous day of fun and friendship.
Thanks Marble Droppers for placing so many caches on the gameboard, which players enjoy finding.

The third day of caching logging as THE MOB. Once more we appreciated the CO's efforts in putting them out. The weather on all 3 days has been great for caching.
We stamped the logs as "The Mob" to save space in the logs - today there were 6 teams caching together: Team Crackers, The Drovers, Phetlern, Alansee, the lovely micaparamedic and myself.
Most of the cache finds were straight forward, yet a couple stumped us. A few were located where it was difficult to safely pull the car off of the road, but we made it work with some creative maneuvers.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip that was planned at the Clear Waters mega was able to occur.
Adelaide, Victoria, NSW and Canberra - a decent drive, filled with various caching activities including Adventure Labs.
Several days caching with the awesome Team Crackers, gorgeous The Drovers, fab Phetlern, cool Alansee, and the lovely micaparamedic.
We laughed, sang to a vast variety of songs and chatted - almost non-stop! [^] We piled into cars and had such a fun time. Despite the light showers, windy conditions at times, we also had sunny days to enjoy caching in.
A sincere thanks to Marble Droppers for placing these caches, including the enjoyable little series.

Heading out to Bateman's Bay today for the penultimate leg of our roadtrip, we set off in threatening skies and a light drizzle, only to have a cracker of a caching day, managing 44 assorted finds with only a few DNFs.
We grabbed a selection of caches along Captains Flat Rd into Bungendore, basically culled out the 1.5/1.5s (and grabbed a handful of GA movables too).
A quick find here, thanks.... the container is aging, but keeping the log dry. TFTC!

Cache 6764 on 17 Nov 2020.
After some late night work, I had the morning off as compensation, which was fortunate, as I needed to get a few caches today. I decided to make a start on the caches along the road to Captains Flat, which were well overdue to be found so Bobl27 and I drove out here at a leisurely time of the morning. All caches found reasonably quickly and in accordance with hints, when I could access them! Boy is the CF raid busy though! I will be back for sure next week to make further inroads into these cache series’.
Found the container on the ground. Prised it open to sign the log and replaced according to the hint.
Thanks Marble Droppers for the cache and the fun!

Found with AngelG27 on a mid morning mission to collect a few caches for her stats. She did the expert finding while I did the expert driving - this road is much busier than I would have expected. TFTC
Found while collecting caches along the CFT and ALL7 series. A very pretty pair of dams! Just be careful opening the cache container which has some sharp edges. Thanks Marble Droppers.
This afternoon, Elleise and I wandered in Cuumbeun Nature Reserve to place a new geocache and took the opportunity to seek out some geocaches along Captains Flat Road. This cache was a straightforward find, being in an obvious spot within a metre of the coordinates. Thank you Marble Droppers for installing and maintaining this cache.
What a delightful spot to stop and do a short walk to GZ. Would never have noticed this dam if Marble Droppers didn’t bring us here. Thank you.
It’s a leap day so we decided to make the the most of all things caching.. yay!!! Out with GLISS! on the hunt for a cache of every size, a cache of every type and a total of a hundred.. well if we can pull it off. Thanks to all the cache owners who helped make this an awesome day. Thanks for the cache.
Thank you ALL7 for take me to journal, great enjoyed trip to captains flat for few caches on the way via do run CFT series..

A terrific morning of geocaching today in the company of the always excellent IamCoust.
An early start was required, but fortunately the emerging spring weather played its part to make a most pleasant time of it. We ended up with about 30 caches (IaC just slightly less as he had already done a few that he indulged me by revisiting) without having to DNF any and removed a bag full of rubbish from beside the Qbn River as part of the CITO event there. A successful and thoroughly enjoyable start to the day!
Apologies for the generic logs across these. My expediency in no way undermines my appreciation for the generous efforts of those who placed the caches we enjoyed finding (particularly All7, who placed the majority of the ones we found today). TFTC

A quick find on a typical Canberra winter day. Brrrr! #MysteryAtTheMuseum Clue #? This one was easier than I expected. TFTC.
Apologies for the late log. I had a trip to Canberra in the middle of winter to visit my wife who had a six week study placement there. This was my one major day of caching when I headed out to Queanbeyan and then followed the Captains Flat Trail south to follow the CFT series and other assorted caches along the way. A big day with 102 finds in total and my apologies for the generic log. The majority were found without too much trouble. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Marble Droppers.
#7155. I have been in Canberra for several days picking up caches before headed to the Mega event near Wollongong tomorrow. Lots of interesting challenge caches in this city was a magnet for a challenge cache junkie. Heading out on the Captains trail today. I need a few bulk finding days on this trip. Planning to have a few hours out here after lunch before I need to drive to Goulburn for my next pit stop. Nice quick find near the little dam in the trees. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding the cache here Marble Droppers. Greetings from New Zealand.
Out for a bit of trail bashing. I wonder what the days total will be? TFTC.

Day 1 of the Clear Waters Mega Event. I had some time to kill before some friends arrived from Melbourne, I decided to check out some of the trails. Although some of the roads were busy, I was able to pick up plenty of cool caches in my travels this morning. My thanks to all of the cache owners for the effort in placing these caches for us to enjoy.

After registering for the Mega we decided to do a little Captain's Flat caching, picking up from from the QBN end heading towards Hoskinstown. where we had previously cached from the Bungendore end. Nice morning with Di Morgan. Di event managed to add a little excitement slipping unceremoniously out of the passenger seat onto her bum on the road. It didn't help with Mr Snakepiter parking just off the road and stepping out into a great gutter. Need to get your laughs where you can when you cache, no harm done and Di cached on 'What a Trooper'. Great series of caches so far, all containers looked in good condition with logs dry.
