Quick and relieving find after finding fences blocking off other caches we attempted around here today. Very interesting location. Sat down on some nice cool metal to sign the log Ahhhh. TFTC.
Found tyftc going from captain's flat back to braidwood. Sorry for the repetitive comments. Find 1/3128. Beautiful day
Out on a drive to Captain's Flat with Barb2e on a wonderful day. Lots of birds around.

Completed our first long trail with local friends. A beautiful but tiring day ?????????
Gerriactive got the goods while I was searching in a completely different area. This has been on my radar for yonks and am delighted to get a smiley this time. TFTC
Despite the co ords being metres out, the name of the cache tells it all. A lovely memorial. TFTC
My coords were 15m off, and the screw to the nano has been cross threaded and is extremely hard to line up.
But other than that - good one !

Cache 6625 on 17 Oct 2020.
On a mini mission with Fox in Jox, ZQX and TikvaNZ to grab a few interesting DT combinations. Luckily the forecast rain did not eventuate and we had a dry and fun afternoon. TikvaNZ was the driver and did a great job.
Fox and I found this one while passing. Met another geocacher in the wild at GZ!
Thanks Marble Droppers for the cache and the fun!

Out and about with Team FATZ (Fox in Jox, AngelG27, TikvaNZ and ZQX). On our route, we stopped to collect this. Another friendly cacher joined us and happened to interpret the description better than me. TFTC
Stopped in here and made the find whilst multitasking with the adventure lab.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
This one took a little longer than it should, as the often spoken placement at GZ appears to have been replaced with a splendid item. As a result we searched a bit wider and at 15 metres found another, older item which was encouraged a look and the cache was found. We have now placed the cache on the new item which is at the GZ coordinates and hope that it remains safe for others to come. TFTC
In the area cleaning out unfound caches signed dsd thanks for the cache and the adventure
TFTC well that was a challenging one. I refused to have come all this way and give up. Ahha, persistence pays off in the end. Great hide!

Out and about aroud Canberra caching with the KCC team. A great little trail along here with tonnes of caches and a lovely pub lunch at the end.
Signed KCC or KC for Kiwi Caching Chicks (Infoferret, Jude_E, NosyNel, thedbees, Graciesgpsfun and me) who are Australia for the OzMuster. We are now on a road trip for 7 days. TFTC

Just about to give up when we reread the description and made sure we weren’t being distracted by other things when we found the cache. Good hide.
After arriving in rain yesterday it was good to see the sun, albeit a cold day for some of our team. Thank you for putting out these caches. We are on a numbers run today.

No luck for me here. I gave this one a good go but maybe tiredness was kicking in and I just couldn't spot it. Thanks anyway.
You know you're a cacher when you're willing to drive for hours to find a few small containers, just to leave your name within.
It was 5°C outside when i woke up this morning after having slept in my car at a bush camping site. I made myself a coffee and continued on with my catching trails by 5am. Lots of fog hanging around.

Catching up with some late logs from the Mega.
Somehow or other over a few drinks the idea of getting an early start and trying our luck on some of the local power trails seemed to override the urge to socialism so we joined forces with alansee, gonefishen07,zobo4,muzza,the Drovers,phetlern,Au_fait & Andarka and headed off for what turned out to be an extremely enjoyable day out with friends old and new and a reasonable amount of caches were found to boot.
Along our way we stopped to do any other caches that popped up on the screen and this was one of them. What an interesting place this is, it was a shame Mr Crackers wasn't with us, he would have loved it here.
With with this many eyes it didn't take long to locate the cache and our names were added to the log before we returned the cache as we found it.
To save room in the logs we signed as Tc9(The Crazy Nine)
Thanks Marble Droppers for the cache,

Found while out and about with a group of cachers. We decided to cache in this rich rural area today.
While based at Queanbeyan Showgrounds for the Mega, we had a day out and about in the very good company of Alansee, Anderka, Team Crackers, au.fait, The Drovers and Muzza, Gonefishen07 and Zobo04.
War memorials & nanos often mean long searches!! Not so today Gonefishen07 was on the money!
Satellites today had our GZ 10 metres ESE of where the cache was found.
Thanks to 'Marble Droppers' for creating this great series.

We've travelled from the Mid North Coast of NSW to the Clearwater event and camped at some amazing locations.
By day 5 the site looks like a CMCA convention and it's great catching up with all our friends from previous events.
Today we're caching with Grub Fred and it was great to find this one that eluded us the other day.
Thanks for placing this cache Marble Droppers ??. We visited this cache at 11:19 a.m..

GeoSon NationalSteel and I headed to Queanbeyan to spend the weekend at the Clear Waters Mega. We travelled via Captains Flat to tackle the CFT trail, and picked up some other caches on the way.
Thanks for bringing us to this memorial, we would not have stopped here but for the cache. It took me far longer than it should, ant it needed a nudge from previous finder NationalSteel before I spotted it. Sometimes the geosenses just don't work
The cache was in good condition. We signed the log using the initials GT/NS and replaced the container as found
Thanks Marble Droppers for the cache.

I was in Queanbeyan with my boyfriends family, As I've not cached before, I signed some logs of the caches I found with XC, until I came up with my caching name.
I had lots of fun, met some nice people and found some great hides.

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.
This afternoon we were out doing some driving time for the L plate driver. It was a great opportunity to grab some finds while on the way out to Captain's flat, while giving a newbie some first finds. Had some fun and laughs along the way
Thanks Marble Droppers for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

What a great day and area had to make a lot stop here for toilets then it was a Nice walk to the memorial and of course the cache fav pt issued
I must say we had to find at least one cache when out here today. I was disappointed with how the town has changed since I was last here only a few years ago. The service station has closed down and the cafe where we lunched with my sister while out for a country drive is no longer operating. But this cache is active and when found we gladly signed the log with our initials. Only room for one more date and initials on the log. Thanks to the CO for placing the cache here.
Cheers and happy caching!

Arrived at the *2019 Clear Waters Mega* in *Queanbeyan* last night. Today I am OCW *Throsbyonchurch* and *Little Kitten* down along *Captains Flat Road* to find the new caches published and to complete the Captain series from two years ago that we were unable to log find on for various reasons.
If we didn't planted a sticker in the log book containing all our names we left our inky names or initials "ToC LK DJJ". Thanks for the cache hide much appreciated by us all.

Plan for today is to complete Captain’s Flat Road with Snickersallan and Hatzofff TFTC
I decided to take the new geo-ute for a run this afternoon. I didn't have any destination in mind, but with some funky cloud formations rolling around the skies, I simply grabbed my camera and headed off.
Captains Flat is where I ended up, and once here I thought I'd check what caches are in the area. Didn't realise there were so many out here - certainly too many to do today, so I picked a few in and around the village.
This was my first find for the day - a nice simple hide.

I don't think it's supposed to be too difficult but no luck for me. Thought I looked everywhere.
Out for the day around Captains Flat to go down memory lane remembering our cycling days around this area staying the night at the old pub. Picked up a few selected caches at the same time.

What a day!
We, being dty73, Aquilus1 and myself designed to 'clean out' Captains Flat. The day entailed some QTC, lots of Captains Flat Trail, plenty of Tankengine caches in and around the railway track, some oldies from flattreker, some interesting hides from Smitten Granny and even out to Hoskintown and surrounds on the return.
We started quite early, I wont say 'very' early as it was a sunday and there is still a little wiggle room allowed on sundays! It was not the most auspicious of starts, with 2 of the 3 intrepid cachers not having any data saved to a GPS or phone... I don't want to name any names... Aquilus1 & dty73, but I feel the story has less weight without them!
Anyway, once all players had the plan loaded we started off with some Queanbeyan To Coast then into the main Captains Flat Trail. All were found, we even managed to park safely in some locations.... we stopped and detoured for the non-trail caches as we went, including several Tankengine hides... with mint tins! The horror!!! I did my best Gilligans Island Skipper impersonations at the final on the CFT... I bet the photo makes the logs!
Lunch was an interesting affair at the local pub in Captains Flat, great food, interesting locals!
The wind was gusty today... so much so it may have damaged the car we were travelling in at one point when I opened the door and it was wrenched from my grasp by a shocking gust.
Speaking of weather, we saw several storm fronts approach today, but we thankfully got off lightly with just some light rain.
On the way home we went out via Hoskintown and a little beyond to the Satellite array.
All in all, a great day with wonderful company... hopefully I kept my grumpiness in enough!
Sorry for the generic log.... we did a lot today and I tried to give everyone a mention.

Had planned to do the caches along the road to Captains Flat for a long time. Today all stars aligned and I made an early and nice start. Was able to work my to the finish in CP very fluently and by lunch time it was all done. All caches were found well although parking was a bit dodgy at times and I felt very watched especially the first half. Second bit was a lot more enjoyable! Thanks for placing all the caches.

To be honest, I hadn't thought of taking a trip to Captains Flat but a recent hike at Big Hole spiked my interest and the amount of caches out here means that we will be back. Town was very quiet on a Saturday afternoon and cache was found after a bit of search. TFTC.
Out with Aquilus1 for a quick find thankfully as the temperature is at a toasty 5 degrees. Tftc!!!
Was in the area with dty73 for a newly published cache and while in the area we wanted to find a few of the caches. The sky out here was quite amazing and clear and with the moon so full almost didn't need the torch - almost, this would have been a tricky find in the dark! Cache located easily which given the very cold 5*C temp the car was displaying I was glad for my beanie but pleased to get back to the heater too! Thanks for the cache Marble Droppers, looking forward to returning in the daytime as this does look like a really nice area.
Today Joolay and I went out to pick up the CFT series of caches together as we hadn't got them yet, and then met up with KittyKatch at the local pub for a well deserved cold beer and work out what others to get and work out final for the series. We decided to grab this one as it was close by and happy to finally find it after gps was bouncing around. A nice day for caching tftc Marble Droppers
Found out with Darzee Di & Kittykatch on a geocaching day. Decided to do the caches on this road as I have never been out to Captains Flat. Darzee Di and I started out and then met up with KK at the pub. The country is lovely. TFTC
I have planned to do the Captains Flat Trail for a while. Now that the Planetary Pursuit promotion is running, it made perfect sense to hit the trail to genuinely earn the points! 154Crows had an eye on the trail, so it made sense to team up with them and MelcMD once again. A 7am start to get down to Canberra, then roughly 80 caches before returning home around 8pm. A big day, spent in pleasant company. Thanks to the CO’s for maintaining the caches we found today!
Out caching with a great bunch of cachers is always fun and today was no exception. Thanks to all the COs for the caches we found as we were out chasing planets in the solar system.
Caching with the crew on a planetary expedition.
A full fun day of caching around a beautiful area with lots of history.
Thanks to all COs for placing these caches for our enjoyment.
We helped out with minor maintenance when we were able.
