We went there last week and there is no longer a suitable place for the cache so would need to find a new position so will archive it
Had a free evening from work so headed off for some caching. All quiet at GZ so had a reasonable look around but with no joy. Will keep an eye on it and hope to return sometime.
No luck here for us today and an amazing amount of local traffic coming and going.
Quick find for us in the dark after a walk to the view points past bushy park. This is helping us on our 365 day challenge. Tftc
Quick find with the aide of the hint Signed logsheet My shortened Caching Name “KFAU” 9:16 am 24/10/18 and replaced all as found,

Last one for us today. Big day in Whanganui caching. A lonely sheep watched with interest at GZ. TFTC
We had been planning a big caching day in South Taranaki for Saturday 28 April, but with bad weather looming had decided to postpone that. Nevertheless there was a new and special cache just north of Wanganui that we still wanted to complete. Today was a lovely autumn day so off we went to do it and we naturally had a few other caches to seek too. We were mostly successful and enjoyed our day out.
We were disappointed not to be able to find this cache. Despite carefully following instructions in the cache description (such as 'the cache is not on the fenceline'), the hint and the co-ords (which clearly placed us on the left at the start of the bridge at the intersection with Rangitatou East Rd) there was no sign of the cache anywhere in the vicinity, and indeed really nowhere it could have been hidden covered by natural vegetation as described, because there was none there. We did broaden the search including crossing the bridge and trying on the other side, despite that being the whole bridge length away from where the co-ords clearly took us. The cache was nowhere to be found. Has something changed at GZ such as clearing away of weeds etc? Is the cache missing?

Juty Bug & I am on a geocaching road trip principally to find geocaches he hasn’t found, and by default I probably haven’t found. In this case this was one I had never visited so we stopped here on way to Hylton Park in Whanganui.
Had to hurry this one as we were being pursued by a flock of sheep. TFTC

A quick easy find of a cache with a nice hint, although it is quite a bit bigger than a film canister. No magpies today. TFTC
Only just finished logging the 100+ caches from the weekend and am shattered. But now to start on the ones we desperately grabbed last Tuesday to qualify for the Skindo 250 finds in February! Thank god for working part-time. Coerced hubby to come and put the pedal to the floor. I should be at home getting ready for going to Wellington tomorrow for work. Never enough time! This was a very quick park and grab. No traffic or muggles around. TFTC
I have had a few magpies dive at me before, but not today.
Found after competing in the Masters Games road cycling race nearby.
A quick find.
Nice hide.
Thanks.

Saw lots of magpies along this road as we travelled back towards town on this back road. Cache all good, thanks
Took the long way home after the Mega. finding lots of caches in new areas. TFTC
nice quick find once on the right side as we head for the naki signed log and replaced as found.tftc
Found in my way home from work. Great hint. GPS was good. Cache safe, log is full. TFTC
I think the cache has been taken. The cache was not in the area that weekend looked in.
Quick park n grab. Local farmer came along, asked if I had found it. Said he stumbled upon it a couple of months ago and googled what it was all about. TFTC
Very quick find as could be seen from a distance. As we left another cacher arrived. TFTC
Some other cacher already searching for this cache. The Reform it was very easy for me. TFTC
Came out this way after changing original plans and moral boosted from finding a few before this.
spotted cache pretty quick as it was almost in the open, after signing replaced back in its hidey hole.
Cheers

A mission was needed to complete one of the last few licence challenges on Rangitoto Island, so a passing comment to C&D at an event and this mission was soon planned. We nearly achieved what we set out to accomplish, with only 1 more cache to find to complete the challenge but that was due to miss-reading the fine print on the challenge page.
So with the mission lasting 48 hours we amassed a great set of numbers, 317 caches found, just over 1200km travelled, about 7 hours of sleep, C&D finding his 180th earthcache, completing the KAS powertrail in under 3 hours and finding numerous amazing geocaches. A lot of fun was had along the way, and some great memories were created. A big thanks to everyone for placing all the caches along the way, this mission wouldn't have been as much fun if they weren't there!
Nice quick find, which is nice when you are in need of a sleep and the last few finds haven't been that straight forward.

Came for a drive up the road as far as Bushy Park (a place I have visited many times) to find the new caches along here. This one was a quick find - signed log, TFTC
Straight forward find on way back from Bushy Park. No vegetation hiding it as has been sprayed recently. Hide with a stone. Tftc
On our way to the Taranaki for a few nights.
A nice cache in a nice spot

A quick find on way to Bushy Park. We love caches that take us off the main roads It is a chance to see more of our fabulous country (you only have to travel overseas to realise how great it is) Felt a bit conspicous with buildings so close TFTC
Another weekend caching with Squirrel Nutcase, due to the kilometres we are travelling this time a over night stop in Stratford was needed. Number off D/T Ratings and old caches was our mission.

A weekend road trip of epic proportions. Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I plan to carve our way through the Waikato, Manawatu-Wanganui and Taranaki Regions while collecting an assortment of caches for various challenges we are working on. Should be a fun excursion...
A quick find after searching a couple of items on the other side of the bridge. TFTC.

No billy goats Gruff or trolls out today. Not even the magpies. TNLNSL TFTH.
On a drive back from NP took this detour Easy find. had a local farmer ask if i was lost so that was nice.
Saw four magpies on the way to the cache but none at it thank goodness final for the day back home TFTC
The last to find after a days caching. No Magpies around GZ - just one friendly farmer who stopped for a chat. tftc
A winters day trip to Whanganui was suggested by Mrs capperz and after Mr capperz consulted the GSAK database off we set for a day at Bason Reserve (if they allow dogs.....not sure)
Having stopped off at the nearby Kai Iwi beach this was next on the list and a quick and easy find was made at GZ
A nice hide at GZ and the underneath river was rushing by noisily but calmly on this sunny winters day

Thanks to good old Troll. Stopping the car, grabbing the cache, logging and continue the journey. A great experience after two or three DNFs. Thank you for that and greetings from Hessen/Germany.
what a busy intersection today. Had to wait out several cars while retrieving, logging and replacing! In the Waikato Magpies are considered an Australian invader pest!
Funnily enough we did not see a magpie here today, but a Rosella parrot! in a tree near the bridge. It was a bit of a surprise I must say. Quite a pleasant wee spot out here. Thanks for the stop.
Some very interesting info re. Magpies thank you, I will definitely store away the defensive tips! No problems making the find.

It's the Seagnoid's birthday today, so I bought me a birthday present - a car hire! Off to Wanganui for a couple of days caching. Makes a change from wearing out my bum over a 60km ride to get those darn August caches!
I can always do Wanganui caches by bicycle, bringing the bike with me on the bus. But as I have a car, let's get into the outskirts! Lots of birdsong here today, but not that from magpies (good. They are agressive towardds the natives).

Nice quick find in the dark while passing north heading for home (just 10 appointments to break up rthe day)

Had to make pretend cell ph call while muggles passed then we had cache in hands within seconds. TFTC
Maybe magpies don't like the rain. But, we did spot a heron. Couldn't find it straight away, but popped over for a closer look and there it was. TFTC

Quick find on our quick caching sortie. Nice drive around this interesting area. No melodies from the Magpies at the time. Tftc
Found on a weekend caching mission around Wanganui with Geco72. Almost missed the turnoff because I was reading all about magpies instead of navigating. Oops. TFTC.

A quick find on a caching trip around Wanganui with my caching buddy Davycrockpot...nice accurate coordinates made this easy. TFTC
What better way to start the Geocaching day. It was a fantastic drive into the country - the sun shining, the birds chirping, the stream meandering through the countryside, the rolling green hills. What a paradise. Thanks for bring us out here. TFTC
No magpies here today, but I run into some up the road at the Picket Fence cache TFTC mjmnz
Enjoyable ride to the country to collect this cache. I had a boys look & tmann421 came along & found quickly. TFTC
Good quick find at site while away for a couple of days with TuisReturn. Nice country area. SL TFTC

No magpies in sight, or even hearing this morning. A nice quick cache find then back on the road again and off towards our actual destination. Thanks for the detour TFTC

Was in Wanganui for work and after finishing work I thought that I would go and check out a few of the new caches that were published here lately that needed a bit of investigation.
After a short drive from town I soon found the correct turnoff to make my way to this cache, had alway wonder to myself how long it was going to take before some caches were going to turn up here as ever time I was travelling north I noted that their was a sign pointing towards an interesting reserve that needed a bit more investigation.
After a short drive from the main road it really didn't take too long before I finally made my way to GZ and arriving near GZ I was able to find a park not too far from the cache and it was a quick walk to the cache which I managed to track down and find in the first spot that I looked, thanks for placing the cache here and for bringing me to this nice little country road that I havent being down before, didn't see any signs of any magpies, not my favourite type of bird, TFTC TNLNSL (4609)

Cool TTF. Had to go back and get it though cos Mrs RiffRaff didn't read the description properly and we headed back to the Tavern then realised we were in the wrong place. Was also asked by a cyclist if we were okay - nice to know people are looking out for you. SL TFTC
A tricky one to find and I had to call mrs B (with leg in plaster) to help me out.
Magpies should be shot.
I am a cyclist and one hit me on the back as I was doing over 65 kph (very tricky)
They also come over as you bike past and give off a crack like a gun shot as they attack.
Many thanks for putting it here though

Quick easy find. No magpies here this afternoon. The No 1 water bore over the road has a lot of history and is more interesting. TFTC
