We had a new hide all ready to go but sadly when we got to GZ this afternoon found that the site had changed again, and there were many houses overlooking GZ, and it's been muggled so many times that we've decided to archive this one.
with some of the area coned off it made the perfect parking spot for my little geomobile, one step, two step, where would i hide it, right there, he didn't want to be got but i was gentle and and soon gave up his spot, tftc
Visiting Wanganui for the weekend and saw that this previous DNF had been replaced so thought I'd have another go. Still took a few trips up and down trying all the spots I had previously tried before finally finding this cute little cache tucked away. Thanks tot he CO for keeping it alive.
Had to remake this one as the last one went missing. Will have to scout out another hide if this one goes walkabout as well. All good to go now.
Hi Coddiwompler....we have had to remake Bambi's Revenge as the original was munted. Its all ready to go/replace, and is on our maintenance list for this coming long weekend. Hope you have a relaxing break yourself. Cheers RRR
After being alerted by a recent cacher to the condition of this cache, we stopped to check it out yesterday, only to find, that not only is it not in good condition but its pretty much wrecked, having been ripped in two, which is really upsetting cos a lot of work went into it. Maybe a kid found it or something....that's one thing that plagues you - when you don't know what happened to a cache. So, its hidey spot may have been compromised, so we will have to rethink this placement and perhaps move it again. Stay tuned....
Sorry to say this one was not found but thanks RachelsRiffRaff for placing this cache
I searched many spots at GL but didn't uncover a cache.
Maybe next time

Once again I am in Wanganui for the weekend (from Wellington) working on filling the area with smiles, sadly this was not one. My third visit here, and with very few people about I had plenty of time to search based on multiple interpretations of the hint as well as everywhere in between. Nothing found.
First time getting a fright from a cache! Haha nice work, the cache itself was a little tricky to get out so we took it to the car. Log signed and cache returned to safe hiding spot
I loved this cache. It nearly had us stumped. I kept pondering over the clue and after a bit of searching from everyone we managed to locate it. Log is nice and dry. Made sure to conceal again carefully. TFTC!
Good to be out caching again after the restraints of level 4 & 3. Headed out after work by which time it was pretty dark. Had previously searched for this cache and had a pretty good idea where it was going to be. A favourite from us for the nice camouflage. Thanks RRR for replacing it.
Mrs RRR had great fun with the Rotary Tool, but is very pleased with her job. A new 'revenge' is finished and we'll place back hopefully tomorrow.
This has gone, have all the bits for the replacement, but need to do a little customising first. Hope to have it back by the end of the week. Chz
Felt like the Grand Old Duke of York. When we were up we were up and when we were down we were down and most of the time we were half way up and half way down. Still it didn’t help and we came away defeated. Would love to know where it’s hiding.
Second attempt at this one. I saw it on approach hiding away. Better than hanging around in the rain like last time. TFTC
We headed to Wanganui today mainly to meet the Westies at their event, but left home early enough to have time for a little caching first, while the day was not too hot. This proved to be a good strategy as it did get quite warm later on this beautiful summer day.
We had such a successful time with our caching that we had some time to fill before the event, so decided to try for this one for a second time. Neither the iPhone, nor the Garmin managed to pinpoint the cache very well, and so we searched around without success, despite using the hint.
Eventually we needed to get to the event, so told our sorry tale to the CO who was attending too. She was very helpful and so we returned to the site and quickly got our revenge on Bambi! Our devices had mislead us, and we had not tried this particular spot before. We were very pleased to complete this cache that had certainly bugged us, and thank you very much to Mrs RRR for her help. It was great to have a good catch-up with her too.

Was passing by again, so decided to have another look. Cracked it! This cache need bug me no more!! Found at 1315Hr on 18 Feb 2019.
Sadly, I didn't find this one. I was on too a tight schedule to give the search any great deal of time - wanted to get to the Bason Botanical Gardens, and back, by foot!
We were expecting this one to either be there, or be missing. What we found was the container and cammo on the ground, but thankfully in a pile of grass/leaves etc. Replaced it into its hidey hole and covered it a bit, but it's still visible from ground level. All good to go.
Had a look for this but couldn't find it, then a muggle turned up so gave it a miss.
A bad day’s geocaching is always better than a good day at work, so Juty Bug & I have taken a good day to go on a Geocaching road trip from Taranaki that turned out a great day. Juty Bug has mostly cleaned out Whanganui but I’m a long way from that, so we concentrated on ‘new’ caches, interspersed with closing out previous DNFs.
Another clever little RRR hide. Obviously a new location as Juty Bug was stumped here, wandering off while I quickly located the cache and signed the log. TFTC

Tried this in the rain and had to come back for a second crack
Great hint cheers

On a caching trip to Wanganui with Yeetrees. It was an early start where we left Wellington at 5am and spend the morning there caching before heading home in the afternoon. This one took a little bit of searching then I noticed something. Everything in order. TFTC

In Whanganui for a dahlia show, time to find some caches Thanks RachelsRiffRaff for the cache,
TFTC. For once I looked in the right place first - could have taken a while otherwise. Signed as Tam IE.
Our first attempt at geocaching and we found It! Kids are super excited to move onto the next one!
The first thought was the correct one but first we ignored it. After going up and down we made a closer look and there: we found it! Very nice, thank you!

Finally! after rain and crutches and other derailments, getting to do some maintenance. New container, new site, all ready to go.
Yep, its gone, even the logbook. Have an alternative in mind, just need to scout the co-ords and replace.
Found while mapping this path during a visit to whanganui, lovely park.
Container missing and logbook wet

No problems in locating the cache but for some reason it smells like Parmesan cheese. Headed back up the hill to the car after making the find. TFTC
Great find thanks. I did not wana put my hand in but my partner was keen as a bean. We didn't take anything but left a little pokeball
We have had a busy day cleaning up around home then off to Rattles Christmas BBQ get together and then off to get some caches. We decided to do some reserve caches and walk ones as there isn't many park n grab ones left in Wanganui for us to get. Got the first cache along the walkway then it was onto the next one Mr watcache found this one quickly it was a bit damp we tried to dry it off a bit and placed it into the plastic bag as it had been left loose inside the cache bag. signed the log and placed the cache back where we found it. nice walkway and we surely need the exercise especially with all the christmas gatherings we have attended and are going to attend next week. Thank you for placing a cache here. TFTC
Took the dog for a walk to get some caches whilst visiting my family. Nice and easy TFTC
Made a replacement, has some mini swag in it, in place and all ready to go.
This one has indeed gone, lasted waaaaay longer then we ever thought it would. Will get a replacement sorted.
Great location. Took my 3 year old daughter out on the mission. The site was a safe walking distance from the deer park and hidden well. She loves the trade and calls it treasure hunting! Thanks for setting this up.
Container was a bit ratty and as the original container hasn't gone west as expected (even after all this time) we've decided to put a bigger container in. Brand new container with all new swag with the original logbook. Did a two-in-one as Mrs RRR needed a brisk walk so she could have her easter eggs later. LOL
Wow. Didn't expect to be lucky enough to see the deer up close, but this was just wonderful. Cool spot as I've found many likely cache places as I was walking uphill, but this was definitely the best. TFTC
Finally got to do some maintenance on Bambi. The hill was littered with road workers but thankfully the cache was screened from their view, so new dry log in there for now while we dry out the original. Working on new container & swag to go with dry logs. Have at it!
I was so happy to find this cache because my legs were killing me! Looked for ages in the complete wrong place but super stoaked when I got my geocaching eyes on and there it was. Log book is wet but still signed it and left some swag in there also.
