Alas, it is indeed gone from its spot.
The puzzle will be re-used at a future date in a new place.

Searched everywhere but just couldn't find it . Will be back another day to get a smilie. Loved the puzzle & memories from back in the day.
Had a bit of time while visiting the peninsula yesterday between playing at the park and a dinner time picnic at the beach to watch some penguins, so I convinced the family to stop in to grab a couple of puzzles that I had solved ages ago. We had seen this road before, and always meant to come back and explore it, sure enough, Geocaching brought us backā¦ Thanks for the fun puzzle, brings back memories of childhood! Amazing how far electronic games have come since our childhoods!
As we recall, the key point of the original Simon Says is NOT to do what Simon says at the crucial time..? Found the puzzle frustrating, giving a sequence very fast and then an immediate game over no matter how fast you tried to copy it. Even some help from the kind CO got us no further. But an offer of ginger crunch solves all problems- passed the game over to Lisa, who got the answer first time. Maybe the game runs differently on different computers? Stored the answer away until this morning, when the only way to avoid the harbour marathon was to bike to the middle of the harbour. Just the sort of caching Mr Daywalk likes - a bike ride and a stop at a scenic spot at the end "hardly seemed like caching at all". Thanks Kev!
Finding a cache at the start of camp road for 31/31 and decided to grab this one as well. Probably should have saved it for tomorrow but couldn't pass up another quick find.

The teen had no patience for the puzzle but I found it a good way to spend part of a wet Sunday by solving some puzzle caches. Was in the area grabbing a couple of other nearby caches and was pleased to find the co-ords were spot on! Found with Aoraki Sheep.
After a couple of false starts with the game, debsnz showed us how it should be played and came away with the co-ords as a prize. Was pleased it was such a nice day when we went to claim our prize as the view from GZ really is worthwhile. Found with debsnz
Got the answer after a few false starts (and middles for that matter!). Easy find on a trip around the peninsula.
All credit to nofs on the puzzle, but great to get away and cache together lots of fun. TFTC
Was in Dunedin to attended the first ever Mega in New Zealand. Managed to work it out so that I was able to team up with -gonefishing-, fozzmiester and agcnz on an 8 day caching trip around the South Island, this was day 4 of the road trip.
After finding GC3JK7H - Just Hanging Around! (Otago), this was the next cache that I had on our list that we needed to find today. This was another easy drive by traditional cache as we were heading down Camp Road and picking up a few caches.
As we neared GZ we managed to find a nice parking spot and from there it was a quick walk to GZ as we got closer we soon spotted the hint item in the distance, managed to find the hiding spot for this cache, retrieved, signed and replaced it back as found, very quiet at GZ. Thanks Kev the Orienteer for placing this cache here and for bringing us to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL (5079). I remembered playing this game when I was a young lad at Primary school and this cache brought back some of those old memories, also started some new ones as well today.

A fun puzzle which I gor through on the first go which was followed up with a quick and easy find today. TFTC
Found as part of an 8 day NZ Mega Event trip. Day 4 - Dunedin and surrounds. Thanks to the owners of the 500 + caches which I had the pleasure to find along the way and which contributed to a very fun trip.

Came here with fozzmiester and Yeetrees on a day's caching around Dunedin while here for the MEGA event. We had solved the puzzle in anticipation of coming here so it was very satisfying to score it at last. A quick find - signed log, TFTC.
Found on the great post-Mega roadtrip with agcnz, fozzmiester and yeetrees. A great trip from Otago to Wellington, taking in many backroades and some fantastic scenery along to way to over 400 caches. Thanks to all the cache owners for the great caches we found on the way.
Thanks for the cache, Kev the Orienteer.

Out and about with Darby&Joan. Came out this way to visit Lanarch Castle for afternoon tea. TFTC
Found with Sam walker's while visiting for the NZ Mega. After finding the nearby cache. Saw that this one wasnt far away. Good to grab this one as I did have fun solving it back at home. Found quickly with another cacher from New Zealand TFTC
Found on a mega caching run, I found this cache after finding the cache nearby, walked down to this one with a few other cachers that were here for the MEGA form Australia. Thanks for the cache!
After our visit to Larnach Castle we set off to sign off another of our puzzles solved prior to our visit. Cool idea for a puzzle and nice trip down memory lane from childhood. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
So, I actually finally installed Java on this computer, and this puzzle made me do it!! - (I've needed it for many other things to run, but nothing was a necessary as this puzzle! Haha)
Quickly managed to get it first time round. This is one of the games the kids at work get to play after finishing maths problems... haha, I really feel like playing it at work now too, as I clocked this one!
When we arrived at GZ, cache was easily as spotted, as it was slightly poking out, and I happened to be looking the right way... haha.

21 of 70 smileys over the NZ MEGA weekend. A clever puzzle idea, enjoyed this one. TFTC
I solved this one two nights ago. It took a bit of concentration when I was getting near the last couple of sequences. I was glad I got there in the end. BaldEd and enjoyed the walk down the road.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
What a frustrating puzzle for those of us of the golden age! But Tufty mastered it and I provided the travel for this team signing.
This one was solved at work, before going here (don't tell my boss!). Surprisingly enough, I just needed two tries to beat the machine
The drive to the cache was most lovely - apart from the wind and he bit of rain that came down once in a while. Got a few great pictures of the view too
Found at 16:31 - #2799 - with Alexesmann

Out this morning with CacheManChris for a quick local cache. Used to love this game as a child, but my adult brain is a little slower than it used to be and I took a few attempts to get it. Nice work on the puzzle Kev the Orienteer, like the effort and thought gone into it. TFTC
Out with Castlewood_Crew this morning for a nearby cache. Noticed a new cache last night and clicked on it to find an old favourite - Simon Says. Solved this great cache after a few attempts. Lots of effort must have went into this and it is much appreciated. Love the idea behind it, now you have me thinking about ahat my next one could be. Watch this space TFTC Kev the Orienteer
Nice walk. Found a horse and rider, who told us a bit about the area. Cool views. TFTC.

Easy puzzle. Still have one of those games in the house. Had a nice walk along the road, there is a safe parking spot just over 200m away from the cache. Met a nice "cockie" who had a great chat with us at GZ. TFTC
I have one of these in perfect order in the back of a cupboard. Easy find but others be aware that there is no safe parking for several hundred metres either side of the cache. Park inconsiderately or be prepared for a walk. Heading back up the road after finding the box I encountered a farmer in his ute heading down. He was totally engaged in peering into the paddock and was heading straight for me, totally oblivious that I was there and this is a single track road. As with most cockies on country roads he obviously thinks the road is an extension of his farm and wasn't expecting anyone else on it. Idiot. He saw me at the last moment and panicked, almost putting himself into the bank. You have been warned.
Took a few attempts before I got the details from Simon. Then as it was still early evening I dashed out for a look.
Once at GZ a quick park and grab was made then had to look for a turning point.
Thanks for the game and the cache.

Got the numbers OK soon after cache awas publishe. An opportunity today to sign the log. Great puzzle. TFTC
An apparently straightforward little game, but after countless failures we concluded our elderly eyes and fingers weren't up to the task, so passed it to the younger and fitter markhnz who quickly completed it. FTF at 3.30 p.m. TFTC
