15-Nov-13
Have been unable to keep this cache in a useable condition even with trying a lot of different methods and land is now for sale so time to archive this Gap Filler as well.

09-Nov-13
Found with Alifant. Cool container. TFTC

09-Nov-13
Found this morning with my son. We had chewed over the hint and the previous logs and surprisingly it was quickly found - especially considering some of the others I can't find!. I had my tweezers but there was no log that we could find in it. TFTC - a cool find. Smile

31-Oct-13
It was getting quite dark and I did not want to use my torch as too exposed.

;-(

23-Sep-13
A good tricky one. Took ages to find. Thanks for the treasure hunt!

22-Sep-13
Nice camo, took a while to find. TFTC found whole taking gap filler photos for capturenz.co.nz

22-Sep-13
Awesome cache! Love this one. Found it while filming a video all about gap filler so seemed only fitting to find this while working haha. Found with CaptureNZ and kumunjay. TFTC

15-Sep-13
Picked this one up today after not getting it yesterday.

30-Aug-13
[blue]Day 30 of our 31 Days of Caching Challenge.[/blue] At last we have found this cache. This is our 3rd visit after a nudge from the CO at an event in July. I have been keeping an eye on it on my watchlist but ChCh visits have been more infrequent over the colder months. We came out tonight after dark with torchs in hand and determined we were gonna find it. We actually found it pretty quickly but then couldnt remove the logbook from its camo. We have taken photographic proof but wont spoil it for caches to come instead we will show the photo to the CO at the event tomorrow. Thanks for another awesome cache Smile

24-Aug-13
Hunted in the dark. No luck. Will have to return another time.

17-Aug-13
Had Mr KN with me which I thought would guarantee a find, but it was not the case. I'm going to blame it on the grey drizzle that would not let up. Maybe next time Sad

11-Aug-13
Interesting camo, is it real? Smile TFTC

01-Aug-13
Tftc ! After climbing quick stop for a gc !

16-Jul-13
Ooo bit of a tough one. Wandered round for quite some time turning over stones to no avail. Got it in the end after searching a bit further around. I suspect it has been shifted from its original location. Interesting little nano. Nice and dry after its recent maintenance.

12-Jul-13
Had a few goes at this one but after a little conversation with a fellow cacher the cache was soon in hand on about the 4th attempt. TFTC. Cheers Bo

21-Jun-13
As was over this side of town felt I had to make a maintenance stop even though the weather was very wet and cold. Arrived at the GZ to find the cache buried in snow! Took out old sodden log and have managed to squeeze a baggie as well as the log into the cache. Hopefully this will help keep it dry over the rest of winter.

09-Jun-13
Like Sonia I couldn't get the log out (& I had the right tool). It was just going to disintegrate if I persevered. Also not sure if a bit of cache creep has happened: it was about 10m from the coordinates according to my phone app (using satellite map view). Anyway, got it at last!

09-Jun-13
Log paper is soaked, needs replacement. It's likely to fall apart on removal. I'm also wondering if cache creep has taken place, let me know if you can't find it! Wink

I passed this place probably like 50 times already, and knew there was a cache here, but finding it was never justified, as I had already had my find for the day, or I had enough time to find something slightly further away.

We had an early game for our work soccer team today, and I wanted to find something before the game, as I was already exhauted and keen for bed - (And it was only Monday!! ) This was close and all, so I went for it.

Upon approaching, I thought it would be a systema, and that I thought I knew where it would be - wrong!! Not a systema I figured out from the logs, and then I started searching everywhere. Read something in one of the logs about something gross... hmm... gross?? I started looking at things I thought may be considered gross, and that's when I tapped it with my elbow, accidentally moving it, and making me notice where it was!! Yaaay!!! I suppose I can see how people would think that gross, but once I spotted it, it was so obvious!!

Log was unfortunately completely saturated though. And I couldn't actually therefore pull it out, as it was so very soaked!! It was like a wee bubble of water in the cache. Sad

TFTC!! Smile

27-May-13
Nope. Lots of things around that COULD have a cache inside, but I couldn't find one that DID. Can only spend so long staring alternately up at the art and down at my feet so beat a hasty retreat.

20-May-13
Second or third time looking for this one. Easy, once you figure out exactly what you are looking for. Didn't sign the log as it was wet and didn't have the right tool to extract it safely. TFTC.

Thankfully have just found a cache like this so put my hand on it straight away. Log is so wet it won't come out so I did not sign it. Thanks for a fun find anyway.

28-Apr-13
Got there after numerous attempts. No I didn't log a DNF after each attempt because that would have been embarassing and clogged up the in box. Every time I passed I would say to myself one more look. Pleased tio get there in the end.

ABL973 found this cache while taking advantage of a long weekend from Melbourne. I brought several travel bugs with me which will visit this cache and for some TBs I'll drop them off for the next cacher to take on their adventures. The weather has been much better than I expected and the variety of hides that I've discovered has been good. I also managed to meet a few other cachers which is always a bonus. Thanks to macpacfamily for placing this cache.

I like this one! Very clever camo and a cache that has returned me to an area I've not been to since the morning of September 4th 2010.

I have been to this GZ twice previously with no luck, GPS seemed to be playing up, and nothing seemed a likely cache. With a hint from the CO, and help from a previous finder, I decided to knock this bugger off no matter what...got to GZ and zero'd in on the cache straight away. hide location does seem a bit precarious though? Thanks for the cache. Smile
Log was a bit damp, may need to be replaced soon.

08-Apr-13
Wow! I wondered when I would come across this cache hide. Both disgusting and cool. Happy to find this. Tftc

07-Apr-13
Had a quick look before but didn't find, happened to be in the area so tired again and found quite far today, TFTC.

05-Apr-13
There's a lot of debris here so it took a week bit of sorting through things before we found it. Actually found a discarded tube of gap filler and thought it was the cache but no. Log is very damp. Nice work.

29-Mar-13
Failed again. Sad

16-Mar-13
Wasn't quite what I expected, but got it sorted quickly enough.

TFTC

15-Mar-13
Another find while at work. Lucky i had seen this type in Geo101 magazine. Evil. Love it. Tftc

05-Mar-13
Completely Looked passed the cache. Said to TheyLookLikeUs that i wasn't going to search there because of it. Found with TheyLookLikeUs and YayBeards.

TFTC, frustrated for a while but eventually my caching brain licked in. Found with Yaybeards and MageSlain.

04-Mar-13
TheyLookLikeUs found it while I was searching with him and Mageslain. Clever, but annoying!

01-Mar-13
Had a brief hunt. Like others before me I will need to return at some stage.

24-Feb-13
Another one my assistant found while I searched for something slightly larger; TFTC

20-Feb-13
Fantastic! We were so excited when we found it! It was our second time back. Have to be one of our favourites Smile Well done on this cache of yours. And on the eve of the anniversary.

03-Feb-13
Took two goes but finally found and logged the wee blighter. Nice camo job, easily overlooked! Thanks and glad to have it ticked off.

02-Feb-13
This is my second visit - this time with 00k. Still no luck but it was the end of the day and we were tired

31-Jan-13
Have returned cache with a slightly larger compartment for the logbook. Initials only please.

31-Jan-13
this one was too good for me. after spending 30 minutes of putting my hand in every rubbish and spider filled hole I had to admit defeat. You won this time cache [xx(] If someone could PM a hint I would be forever grateful.

28-Jan-13
Was picking Ms KR up from work, and after getting a huge hint at the Fish and Chip event, picked this up on the way. I saw the cache lat time I looked but should have actually "looked". Log very tight in the container, quite dry. Removed a couple of cm from the end to make it easier to extract. Thanks for the hide.

27-Jan-13
As it sounds like log might be wedged in have temporarily disabled to get fixed.

26-Jan-13
Great hide, decided to check this one out will on a training bike ride up to the Sign of the Kiwi yesterday, no luck, so caught up with a fellow Geocacher and traded some hints. After my morning ride today up the Rapaki track and along the Bowenvale traverse I revisited the GZ, using my mother eyes "FOUND IT", I couldn't get the log out seems to to be stuck as one mass likely got wet at some stage. Excellent hide TFTC. Cool

25-Jan-13
After searching and searching, I gave up and went and found another cache and with a wee hint from someone, I had to return and then bang, I found it!!! Love it!!!

15-Jan-13
Hunted around for a while and after expanding my search area there it was! Great hide. The log book was wet so I didn't try and get it out for fear of ripping it. TFTC

14-Jan-13
No dice for us today unfortunately Sad

Another day. Another DNF. Not convinced it is D2.
Cheers Gav

08-Jan-13
Almost gave up on this one, but at the last moment as we were leaving had a nervous feel of the culprit, and vola! Couldn't extract the log, so will try and sign another day. TSLO. Tftc!

02-Jan-13
Spotted a couple of other cachers in search of this one while out on a walk..went over for a chat and a very short time later the cache was in hand and the log signed..TFTC

02-Jan-13
Always fun to meet a fellow cacher when out looking for caches so it was good when Taurus48 arrived. We needed a couple of visits and an extra clue before we got this one. A favourite for sure.

02-Jan-13
Took a bit of finding this one- needed a little extra help- and it was great to meet Taurus48 while there. Between us we finally nailed it. TFTC macpacfamily

After a couple of goes at this one and coming up empty we had to ask the CO for a hint, made the search area a bit bigger to incorporate the extra hint and the cache was soon located, was even more as the challenge getting the log sheet out, lucky we had something we could adjust in to a log removal tool.

T4TC

24-Dec-12
Had a bit of a hunt but no luck today...will be back

16-Dec-12
Easy find but log too tight without tools

16-Dec-12
Thanks to KiwiCampNut who replaced log for us.

15-Dec-12
After a little hunting around I had the little blighter in hand. Could not remove log book so no log from me today. TFTC.

14-Dec-12
Heading to a Guide meeting so texted kiwicampnut to see if she was caching before or after or both. Reply soon came - both and that she was here - and I was just minutes away. Smile
Had a good hunt, but not good enough, and by the time we saw it was disabled it was time for the meeting. However we got a hint, and came back a few hours later when the meeting was over. As it was (is) disabled due to wet log, and not missing cache, we decided to look further and soon had it in hand.
Paper and cache have dried out. However paper (being waterproof) ran all the ink leaving a near blank sheet. Kiwicampnut had a spare in her bag of essentials, so we replaced the log and all is good to enable again Smile Our good turn for the evening!
KCM has origianl log paper and will return to CO when we next meet up.
Thanks

14-Dec-12
Was over this way for a meeting so decided to try and find. Needed to PAF for a little guidance. Have replaced the log for you macpacfamily and have old one to give to you next time I see you.

09-Dec-12
Have driven pass a few times now and have spotted a few cachers giving this one a crack. The mural is fantastic. But my last attempt had me about 10m away. And knowing the CO fondness for well camouflaged containers I wasn't getting my hopes up. I got a bit of hint from a previous finder. The cool thing is that I found a great container for a future hide on my previous visit. Good job. This gets a favourite point for 'creative container'. Log was full and a bit damp. Thanks for the gapfiller series. Nice work.

08-Dec-12
Have been advised that log book is full and a bit damp. Won't have a chance to get over for next week or so to fix so temporarily disabling until I can.

02-Dec-12
Log to come.

01-Dec-12
damn, will be back though!!!

28-Nov-12
Amazing thing was we could actually find a park here today. Even more amazing was we could find the cache & get the log out !
Decided that this was a good time to have some lunch so at least that would be one gap filled, even if the cache was going to be DNF again. SurprisedTwistedCool However, the cache was found in an area previously searched but overlooked as there was much more rubbish then. Really thrilled to tick this one off the city list! Wink

24-Nov-12
Okay, so I had a LOT of help for this one... it's still a really cool cache though!

Saturday night 7pm, it was relatively quiet at GZ.

22-Nov-12
Found with help from justanurse. Very clever tftc

10-Nov-12
The GPS wanted me to walk into the wall and search about 5 meters from where I was standing. I arrived just as a wedding party finished taking some photos so had the site to myself but no luck today for me.

10-Nov-12
Glad to tick this one off, but must confess to some guidance from a cacher I see now and then, as I have looked many times previously and not found. Mporokosa and I were sitting quietly watching the wedding party that Kiwi Nomad refers to, waiting for them to finish their set of photos holding 'tools'. Kiwi Nomad might have seen us sitting quietly on the concrete pad waiting for them to leave so that we could replace it safely. TFTC macpacfamily.

10-Nov-12
Another 2 star that seems like a 4 star. We went for this at least twice before together and got frustrated each time. It was sort of like looking for a contact lens in a shag carpet. You just have to be lucky I guess. As others mentioned, there was a wedding party getting photos taken besides the murals on both walls. After they finished the Gap Filler wall, they walked across the street to another "mural" (graffitied wall) and got more pictures taken with the wall in the the background.

Find # 4912 and a total of over 700 in 11 days on the 2nd last day of our NZ Mega trip.
Final day to look around the Christchurch city area. I just loved this country and driving around it looking for caches. Another very good cache and hide that I just had to get before I left town.
After a very long look around, I finally spotted something that I should have seen earlier. Wink
TFTC macpacfamily,
Roostaman.

A nice find on a great day geocaching around the area.

Took quite a while to spot

Having just found Gap Filler One, we move here to also overcome the previously DNF. Again some time was spent searching & C62 then said lets go. Then he stopped with that grin on his face - you've found it!!!! So back to the site for more searching (this time with some prompting) & yes I finally came up with the cache. Such an evil one !!! This also was our last in NZ before flying back to Sydney in the afternoon. Looking foreward to seeing a different Christchurch next time. TFTC

Filled with excitement that Geotooter and I had just found Gap Filler One, we drove over to this location for another try. You see, I logged a DNF on this one 10 days ago before heading down to Dunedin for the NZ Mega Event. With great anticipation Geotooter and I again began searching. Last night, I read through all the logs hoping for some inspiration. After another fruitless 20 minute search I was about to give up. I thought I would do a sweep of the area one more time and this time I noticed something that had obviously been in position the whole time but I had missed it. I quietly checked it out and discovered it was indeed the cache. WOOHOO!! I quietly replaced the cache and moved away. I told Geotooter I had had enough searching for this one and I convinced him we should leave! As we began to walk away I stopped, folded my arms and put a smucky smile on my face. Geotooter turned around and said, "You've found it haven't you?" (He hates it when I do that!!!!) I just nodded!! So back we went and with a few helpful hints to narrow down the location of GZ, Geotooter too discovered the pesky hide. With a great amount of relief and with loads more smiles, we signed the log then replaced the cache.

This cache was our last find on our trip to NZ and a fitting final cache it was. In total we found 121 caches and thoroughly enjoyed touring a small part of this lovely country. Thanks to macpacfamily for bringing us to this location. Thanks also to all the COs for their hides and showing us so many interesting spots. I wish all Christchurch residents best wishes as you continue the mammoth task of rebulding this beautiful city.

24-Oct-12
This was my 2nd attempt and what an evil little cache. It took me ages to get the logbook out as I had left my tweezers in the UK. I also had problems writing on the shiny paper. I had a huge roundabout walk of nearly 5 hours to get this cache as I started my walk on Blenheim Rd and it certainly qualifies towards my Ramblers Challenge

21-Oct-12
Second attempt, found quickly after reading previous logs.
The Log is difficult to write on, my pen(s) wouldn't work on the shiny paper so initialed TA with a pencil.

Cunning hide.
TFTC.

16-Oct-12
2nd DNF for the day. Will also return here before we leave.

16-Oct-12
Geotooter and I are in town from across the ditch to attend the NZ Mega Event down in Dunedin. We arrived to find this great piece of artwork and took some time looking at the many shadows of items lost. What a great idea this is. Well, after our DNF at Gap Filler One, we were confident we could turn this one into a smiley. A thirty minute search finally revealed nothing and we ended up conceding defeat on this one. Again, we hope to come back next week and give it another shot before flying home. Many thanks macpacfamily for showing us this this part of Christchurch. We really feel for the people who have lost so much.

16-Oct-12
In Christchurch today to explore this beautiful city on my way to the NZ Mega in Dunedin... My heart goes out to all those affected by the earthquake...

The weather was great here today. Warm in the car & a cool breeze outside...

Grabbed this cache whilst travelling & taking photos around this city...

Thanks For The Cache macpacfamily Smile

15-Oct-12
Had a good hunt for this, but we weren't able to find it. Cheers Gav

15-Oct-12
This one beat us.

14-Oct-12
Hard to find but last quick look gave smiley.

07-Oct-12
I'd given up on this when I thought I'd extend the search area a little with very satisfactory results. Nice one!

05-Oct-12
With some encouragement,we came here and found the clever little Cache.Had to be stealthy,as a Business over the Road was very busy.TFTH

03-Oct-12
Found after a little hunt with some help from previous logs. Went past it a couple of times before i realised that it was the cache.

02-Oct-12
Good hide and great board

02-Oct-12
Looked yesterday before for quite a wee while, came back this morning and spotted it quicker today! Great cache! TFTC #298

02-Oct-12
Very Clever. TFTC.

01-Oct-12
Went to check on it as a few experienced cachers have been unable to find it. Still safe & sound - hasn't even suffered any cache creap!

27-Sep-12
No luck for me today.

22-Sep-12
Drive past this sight & admire from afar. This time is the first I've seen the mural up close & the effort that went into its construction. Unfortunately, we couldn't locate the cache.

08-Sep-12
Hmmm the terrain has changed since I last looked. The wasteland area has been covered by river stones. Exactly where my gps put GZ. Maybe I am looking in the wrong area, we'll see....... Next time

07-Sep-12
A sneaky wee hide in a busy area well hidden, TFTH

04-Sep-12
Went and replaced logbook. All good to go.

28-Aug-12
I had a meeting down the street about a gap filler and so I thought it appropriate to wander down to look for this. Fortunately, I have a similar container (yet unleashed) and so I spotted it without too much drama. Thank you for the series macpacfamily!

24-Aug-12
What a great wee hide, found on my night caching adventure, with theroamingreliever tftc

21-Aug-12
Found at last after several visits. Log is very wet and difficult to write on. TFTC

21-Aug-12
At last and a third attempt. Log was quite wet as noted by M&P. Really really didn't like that space, and glad it is out of the way. I've only seen those cache holders once before and Mrs W. wouldn't pick it up!!!
Thank you, a super series.

18-Aug-12
2nd attempt got thank you very cool
