Found pretty quickly, putting 2 and 2 together with the terrain rating makes it fairly easy. Found spot, very fun!

Probably shouldnt of parked there but we had a feeling where it was so we went fast and found it haha pretty scary tho lol Tftc!

11-Jan-24
Getting back into geocaching after a decade and this was my first find - made the mistake of overthinking it and found it in a pretty obvious spot after some monkey manoeuvres. TFTC!

09-Dec-23
Found it after a short search, located it where I wasnt quite expecting. Busy road. TFTC

02-Dec-23
This geocache was easier than I was expecting - I had suspected what needed to be done given the Terrain rating, and so approached this geocache from the side. Once I was at the right elevation, the cache was a quick find, and although the container is looking a little aged and rusty with no lid, the spot is reasonably protected with the logbook showing only a little wear. Thanks Strangler Fig for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This afternoon, I had a few spare hours between morning errands and domestic cleaning, and an extended family dinner, so opted to cross the river and visit the areas of Chelmer, Oxley, and Durack. My main incentive was giving the Prado a good run given an earlier week drained battery, so stopping at a few geocaches was just a bonus (or so I told the wifey). It was a hot afternoon, so I opted for shorter walk geocaches to utilise the vehicle's air conditioning in between my stops.

It's all about the challenges these days and checking one of the many that I don't qualify for, found I needed 2 more difficult climbs to do.
Researched which ones I could do without hiking up mountains or climbing big trees, and this was one of them.
Made my way to GZ and it was an easy climb and find thankfully. Made my mark and back to the car.

09-Jun-23
We were on our way to Spicers Peak and decided to stop for a cache on the way. We parked up on the suggested street and strolled to GZ. Luckily the cache was found quite quickly and our names were added to the log. Peak hour traffic was bloody awful but we eventually got back onto the motorway. Thank you for the fun

09-Jun-23
After finishing work I loaded the Ute to camp at Spicers Peak. This cache came for a challenge. It was a busy drive from the north side of Brisbane. Parked at suggested location then headed up to find the cache. Log signed and replaced.
Now I am of to Spicers Peak for a night of cold.
icecream boy thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for my enjoyment.

The Green Geckos & I are heading out of town for an early Saturday morning hike up another mountain down towards Cunningham’s Gap. On the way we thought to grab a cache for today & this one way on our agenda. Each find at GZ.

18-May-23
I had to do some work at Premier Funerals and a quick check on my phone showed a cache very nearby. I was already parked in the perfect place, so I crossed the road and headed toward GZ. I followed my arrow and somehow managed to crack my head on the concrete just before I found the cache. Waited for the stars to clear and signed my name in the log. That was fun! Now where did I put the Aspirin?

Driving home from a hike in the Scenic Rim, we decided to detour via this cache to help qualify for a challenge. Parking was a breeze today and we found our way to GZ without a hitch. The cache was soon found, signed and returned. Thanks Strangler Fig

Mrs Woodyrothwell and I were standing at the bottom having one of those quiet conversations that most married couples do without a single word being said. You don’t need to. You can say a million words with just the expression on your face. Luckily I remember the non-verbal conversation clearly and here is a loose transcription of it:

Me: Ooh, that climb looks like lots of fun
She: You know you’re not 20 anymore

Me: Once I get up there I can hang around looking for the cache
She: I don’t think you understand what would happen to me and the kids if there was an accident…

Me: That car that just drove passed was pretty shiny
She: Are you taking me seriously? I just need to know that you are.

Me: Maybe I can adjust my package to the right when there are no cars around
She: You are an idiot

I climbed up and when I got there my wife was already waiting for me. She found the safe and sensible approach. Lucky for me safe and sensible aren’t words in my vocabulary. tftc

Out on the very warm day. Yes, I know what I have to do. Gaining a little courage, then off I should go.

First cache of 2023! Happy New Year!

After seeing this D/T here we decided to come out and do this one as our first for 2023!

After arriving at the recommended parking we quickly walked to GZ and found the cache quite quick!

Happy New Year! Find #1 for 2023....
Samuel spotted this, as a 2/4 - we've been chasing 2/4's for a while for a challenge back at home, so were keen to grab another. Quickest one yet - awesome! Smile
This one is also in a similar vein to a little series we have at home too. I spotted this without much of a search once we had got up to the right level.... TFTC....
The logbook is in a bad state, still signable.... just.

12-Oct-22
Quickest T4 I’ve ever found. Didn’t need to climb a mountain for this one but I did get quite dirty!

06-Oct-22
Today i decided to come and find this cache. I parked at the suggested coordinates and took a walk along the grass to GZ where i soon spotted the cache, thanks to the coordinates being spot on. Fun place for a cache. Thanks for all the fun

Yay, a good find for me, and a great hiding place. Tftc.

Out with chamad collecting some caches. Had to stop and find this one, it's the title of one of my favourite albums.
The ants have made themselves at home here.
Log signed, all replaced as found.
Thanks icecream boy for the cache.

23-Jan-22
Out about with Willis007 today for a fun day of caching. I must be still catching up from my trip and from logging 500 caches, as I was very slow to react to situations and coordinate changes today. It was a great day, not our usual rush around day, a very slow day, more a catch up type of caching day.

Wow it was me who did the climbing today as Willis007 has a war wound and is not capable of climbing. An easy find just the same and it seems the ants have made a big home in the container, well they had a home.
Thanks for placing it here and with the log signed and cache replaced as found I was onto the next one.

Over this way to pick up another nearby cache and thought I'd check this one out. It was definitely easier than I expected and was in the first place I looked. Co-ordinates spot on. It looks like one of the oldest mint tins I've seen. Tftc

Having attempted caches in similar environs to this one and seeing a CO’s warning in the description regarding coordinates, I had limbered up for a lengthy search. It is no exaggeration to say that after a quick climb of approximately 20 seconds, I literally found it waiting right in front of my face. Spot on with coords , CO, so well done. Looking every bit the delinquent, I sat and signed before replacing and de-scaling. TFTC

TFTC. Needed to look a bit harder. Appreciate the hiding spot more now. My GPS was taking me to the caravan spot so had to use good old common sense for the second attempt. Thanks again.

My geodaughter and I had been caching in the area, and thought we'd stop in here for "just one more" in the fading light. It was dark by the time we arrived at gz, so up I went with my torch to make the quick find. Name added to the log and back to my girl to return to the car. Tftc icecream boy!

It's been raining all day, but I really wanted to find a cache for the dy to fill the calendar spot, so I looked around along my route home and saw this cache, right by the road and not far off my route! Guess I should have looked at the terrain rating more carefully before jumping in!
I must say, when I got to the top, I was feeling sort of smug to have found a T4 that was so easy to get to, because even with the slipping and sliding and the sodden ground sinking away under me, it still seemed a bit too tame for a T4. But that's because the cache wasn't where I was looking. Worse still, I worked out where it must be, and while I was OK with the height I was currently at, exploring the new spot was going to prove a real challenge with my dislike of high places. Moreover, the only way I could safely get across the mud to the cache was on my hands and knees, given that some of the ground was sliding in the downward direction due to its extreme water-loggedness. I rolled up my white trousers (I was still dressed for work) and crawled through the mud, keeping centre of balance low and minimising the chance of a quick arrival at the bottom. Cache retrieved and log signed while my head spun and I deliberately didn't look to my left. I do have a suspicion even bleach is not going to resurrect that pair of pants, and my sandals are still waiting for the mud to be hosed off! Thanks for the challenging and terrifying experience- next time I do this cache, it will be in dry weather! At least I earned my T4!

With burgo78.
Apologies for the late log.
Thanks for the hide.

23-Mar-19
Brugo78 and Blackpearl in town, time for some great caching.
Had high hopes for a T 4 but that was not to be, should have read the logs before adding this one to the list of caches for the day.
All good with the cache.
Thanks for hiding

Down from Townsville with BlackPearl26 for some work training earlier in the week and meeting up with our mate Karicka today to start the real work - finding some high terrain and old caches.
Instant find here without breaking a sweat.

Out finding a few caches with Mr Curious Quest. I was a bit apprehensive about this one, but on parking the geomobile and looking about, I made a plan. I found the easy way up and was soon down looking for the cache. It was quickly located and our names added to the log. TFTC

01-Jan-19
I headed up to the spot, and found what I thought had to be the right area. Headed into there, and found an even more interesting spot, which I went and checked out.

Was a great view from over there, even if a bit tricky to get over there (although not too bad for me, given my height...)

Checked out the map again and realised I wasn’t in the right spot, and went back to where I started.

Once in the right spot again it was a quick find, and had a bit of a rest in the shade while signing the log.

TFTC, and happy new year!

Late night adventure to get our Big Blue Switch Souvenirs with Allowme. Freaking out about the bull ants! I chickened out & Allowme ended up grabbing the cache and threw the log book out to me to sign on behalf of us both - moments before the ants started showing a lot more interest in her!

This was the next closest for me today.
Headed to find a park on a nearby street.
I have climbed these before but today I chose an easier way.
Soon had the container in hand but had to be very careful not to disturb some bull ants nearby.
Signed the log and returned to where I found it.

19/2/17, 7:26 am Find #1751

After a lunch at Brekky Creek with some old school buddies - and before the cricket at the Gabba - I had two hours to kill. Hmmm? What to do? Wink

Initially approached GZ from the low side... which was fraught with danger, so doubled back and tried the heavenly route Razz Got Him!

La Kedi and I were out and about for the afternoon and decided to drop in on this cache.

We parked up before La Kedi warned me she wasn't sure what level the beast might be on. I've done such a couple of caches involving such GZs. Some taking a considerable time.

La Kedi and I gleaned what we could from previous logs and decided on a plan of attack. Sure enough, La Kedi soon had the beast in hand. We signed the log and returned the cache to its home. It was in good condition.

A nice welcome stop. TFTC Strangler Fig Smile

26-Dec-16
While in the area this Boxing Day with Fangsoki, looking (without success) for archived caches, we decided to stop for this one instead. Happily, a lot more success here, and with far less effort than expected for the terrain rating. The only major problem I had was getting bitten on the nape of the neck by an ant!! We made a pretty quick find and popped back to the car before the rain hit. TFTC, icecream boy. =^.^=

02-Dec-16
Once we thought about other comments, easy to find.

02-Dec-16
When we saw the four star terrain and wondered, but once we saw the area we realised it that it had to be one of the easier four stars that we have done. Recently we did this cache - GC6VK4J - and it has a four star terrain and believe us it warrants every one of those stars. Thank you for this one, a couple of minutes not a couple of hours LOL. Ha ha Ha!!!! Scaled the wall, police stopped by, came back down, then found it. Wish we had started without climbing........

13-Nov-16
Nice little pick up on the way to work. However I did get sprung by the fuzz they had no idea what I was on about when I said I was looking for a mint tin.

12-Nov-16
I'd looked at this one on Google maps street view and pretty much figured where it would be hidden so I drove over and parked down in Bliven Street and took the short walk up (crossing Douglas Street) to the cache hide. I took the high trail in. So no climbing walls for me Smile
Down on the Upside is a good name for this when you look at the cache location, which I found pretty easily once I'd arrived at ground zero.
There is an awful lot of traffic driving past here. I'm not sure if anyone noticed me at the cache location, but I was trying to be as stealthy as the situation would let me be lol. If anyone did see me they must have wondered what the hell I was doing there Big Grin
Log signing duties done, it was a short walk back to where I'd parked my car Cool
Thanks for the cache Strangler Fig Smile

I had just found a nearby puzzle from the same CO as this cache and found I still had plenty of time before work. Since the puzzle was metal themed, I smiled to myself as I read this caches title. I wonder if the csche owner named this after the soundgarden album? Not my favourite of their output, but I really do love the song pretty noose.
I parked a bit back on the nature strip in front of the vacant warehouse with for lease signs out the front and walked the short distance to the motorway.
I was surprised at how easily I was able to get to the proper altitude. The cache was found in moments, yet that did not detract from the experience. I was also surprised at the lack of muggles here at peak hour... the ones that did pass were completely oblivious to my activities.
Thanks for the cache and the fun icecream boy.

Edit: I just saw the link on the description that confirmed my suspicions. The video is no longer available though so you may want to make a new link icecream boy. ROCK!

Friday. Slow Puncture were out on the dark side visiting Mr SP's sister. What would a visit be without a quick nearby cache?

So, this was the cache. We found a place to park without driving onto Ipswich Road, and made our way over to near GZ. We didn't realise that we were very near it to start with, so we made life hard for ourselves. Should have followed our instincts [xx(] Nonetheless, a surprisingly quick find.

This was the only cache found on today's trip.

Thanks ***icecream boy***, for showing us this place. Smile

Chasing a few windmills in preparation for our upcoming road-trip to NSW/ACT & decided it wouldn't be right if we didn't grab a few caches in the process! LOL ...

This cache was on our radar & after parking the Geo-beast nearby it wasn't long before Geo-Mamma called 'Found it!'
A nice quick find.
Good co-ords.
All good here.
Signed & replaced as found.
Luckily very little muggle traffic through here to observe our antics. Smile

Came to Bris to grab a few caches and visit family. We drive passed this one all the time but we rarely have time to stop or are too tired and bee lining it for home in Toowoomba. Today I made the certain plan to grab this one first. After pulling up in a nearby street fb03 and I walked up to this one and made an easier than expected grab. Great hide and TFTC icecream boy

I had visited here once before but read some precious logs that suggested it might have been unladylike in my attire so I decided to arrack a different cache that day.
Today was the day to try it for real.
I parked close enough to GZ and changed my shoes (even though someone says thongs had been ok, I wanted something more secure than my high heels.)
Once in the right spot I could see the cache easily. Not such a hard grab after all. If it weren't for the hill, high heels would have been ok. Better not to do an ankle for no reason though.
Cache signed and replaced. TFTC
