First day of a long weekend caching. Today was the trip to the mega via Hume and Queanbeyan. Lots of talk at the showground and lots of caches in the close area, lots of fun! Thanks for placing all the caches. Great walk here at mt Jerra, with some spectacular views!

A fine warm Autumn day for a bike ride to Jerra with Bill/Di Morgan.
Many muggles around today and mostly good quick finds.
Thanks for the cache Minifig Ant,

Today hubby was out on his bike with Roostaman, they chose a trail not far from the showgrounds.
All went well untill the very last cache when a flat tyre was noticed. 3 service stations were visited to keep the tyre up so they could make their way home.
Thanks for placing this cache Minifig AntMega event.

Cache is still there but the container has reached the end of its life, big hole in the plastic lid.
Would be great if this could be replaced with a new container, but otherwise it isn't viable for long-term
Thanks!

Spotted the beep beep soon enough but scratched my head and couldn't see a cache, ahh there it is close by!
Noticed it was damaged as per TikvaNZ's log still. It won't last very long like this I don't think
Thanks Minifig Ant!

After a successful late night run through of a soon to be published cache, took to the hills on the way back to the geomobile. Found without issue before moving on to the next. TNLNSL TFTC

I stopped by here on my way to today's mountain bike orienteering at Kowen Forest. I parked nearby, jumped the fence and wandered to GZ for a quick find. TFTC.
Unfortunately as I replaced the lid it disintegrated. So I left the cache updide down to prevent the log getting wet.

Thanks for the clever hint. Being an overcast day, the GPS was a bit sluggish, like me, and it was great to connect with the clue. Camouflaged the cache a bit more and disturbed a meat ant's nest in the process. Did a little dance to get out of the way. TFTC
Parked close by and after briefly being impeded by the inevitable fence made my way to GZ. Cached was well tucked away and took a little time to spot. Took TB and TFTC Minifig Ant
After a run along the tracks with geohound above Queanbeyan River, I parked across the road and headed to GZ for a quick find. Dropped off a TB. TFTC Minifig Ant
#3026 2 of 14 tonight.
A cold and breezy Sunday was perfect for muggle free conditions today. This helped a lot as I was heading out to try my luck with some of the many Queanbeyan parks caches. Dark clouds appeared at one stage & I thought I might be in for a drenching, but they passed by without issue.
I continued on from "Ghost Dog", steering my way to this one. Quite pleased when I "wheeled" this one in.

Today is another zero day in my days of the year caching calendar, the sixth last. To clear it, today I found five caches, of which this is the second. I'm freshly retired, and still glowing from it. It's not a particularly nice day, and I've decided to do mostly park and grab today, but I've brought the GeoSchnauzers anyway, in case I decide to walk. This is our second for this walk, with views through the trees across the valley. Great clue, MA!! Thanks, mate. Two for two, and a nice walk as a bonus.
I found the container in the middle of the path. Washed there by the recent rain or scratched out by a bird. Hid it a little better.
I had parked in Candlebark St and planned to do this one first and then "Ghost Dog" but my (not so-) smartphone was not cooperating GPS-wise today so we stuck to the path and we ended up closer to the Dog and did that one first. Then me and the Ridgeo-pup followed the track over the hill and down to Edwin Land Parkway and followed the fence for bit before tracking this one down. I puzzled at the object for a while before I looked down and saw it was much easier than that . Then we bush-bashed back over the hill back to the car. A very nice walk with a great couple of caches, thanks Minifig.
Found it and the hint made sense and amused us when we saw where the cache was.
Wandered the lower slopes of Mt Jerrabomberra to find the GC. The flowers of the heaths, grevilleas and paper daisies were all on display. The GC is in good condition with only a bit of the a paint coming off mainly from the lid. Funnily saw the GC first and it was exposed and not the object nearby until later on.
My first time visit to this Hill even though been here for nearly 40 years. TFTC,
So it was time to get out and about with the geocrew for an attack in Jerra and Googong. Todays crew consisted of the FurfacesLL ladies, Boot65 and myself. We had made plans for a gathering in Jerra to kick off the day and the first point of call was COFFEEEEEE for one of the FurfacesLL ladies. I had already downed a can of mother so I was ready to hit the trails. Todays plan was initially to hit the solved puzzles we had in the area, well that's what I was prepared for, little did I know we would be doing ALOT more than planned (shoulda guessed as this is what we always do haha)
We had just completed the hill between the Edwin Land Parkway and Cooma Street (near the quarry) and now we crossed the Parkway over to this side of the tracks and made our way over to this cache. So far we had collected 4 (3 for me) Trads, 2 Puzzles and a Multi.
We had approached another fence to cross, and this crossing was very amusing. As we had a bar to "roll" over. Some of us with longer legs had no issues, however 2 of us with the shorter legs, well it definitely was not elegant on our behalf lol.
A short stroll over and the collection on this one was made Logging duties completed and we moved on to Jerra Ghost Dog.
Thanks for the cache and the hike Minifig Ant

We headed out today with Boot65 and Rapidlywild to clean up a few around Jerrabomberra and Queanbeyan. Met up at the meeting point and started our adventure. After collecting the caches across the road we decided to finish off the others close by. We all hopped over the fence and we were soon hit by a smell of road kill close by. We headed to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. now off the next one! What a great way spend 'straya day! TFTC
Looked in the wrong spot at first, the clue helped. Dropped TB.

Found at 1325. After a very slow start I decided to grab a cache for the day before I got distracted, and this one has been on the 'to-do' list for quite a while. Dumped the car in the suburbs & picked a likely looking trail to follow which got me oh so close to where I wanted to be, then a quick bush stroll had me at GZ, the cache found, the log signed, and Day 2 of the August challenge ticked off. Dropped off a pathtag and put things away again before deciding to go cross-country for the trip back to the car. Everything was in good order - thanks for the cache Minifig Ant.
Cross over after coming down from the quarry view. Rode over the parkway and lifted the bike over the fence before trudging up to the cache. The hint was one of those that you can't understand until you get there.
Thanks Minifig Ant
Thanks Minifig Ant
finished work early and jumped on the MTB to get as many of the jerra pathway series as I could before my geoprincess arrived home.
Thanks for the cache and the much needed exercise justjessie.

Located in a beautiful native forest area. Cycled close by then walked to GZ. Geokids found the cache and were totally chuffed to beat me! TNLN, great location Minifig Ant, TFTC.
Had been meaning to go find this one for ages as it is very close to home. Finally got the chance today. TFTC
Found on our first afternoon of caching in 2013. Have been meaning to get this one for a while. So today, it was a nice little walk to GZ, with a bit of a climb at the end. A nice easy find once there. Great clue, didn't understand it until we were at GZ - who put it there?! Nice area. Left TB. Thanks Minifig Ant!
Out for some cross-border caching with BatgirlandCo on a warm afternoon.
Loved the hint for this one. And as usual, we took a very off-track route to get to the cache, and once again, found the easy trail for the return leg...
TFTC!

Bit of a drive-by - well not quite. We found our way in from the suburban roads and managed to get to within 300 or so meters. Good trails throughout the area were then (as per usual) found on the way back to the car after going off-piste to find the cache. Mind you - it's easy going terrain so this is not so bad.
It must have been awhile since I have been in this area, the new road is fantastic, but they do not seem to have provided access to the forest, I went around to the suburb and walked in. It was a bit further than I realised, but no dramas and a nice place to visit. Thanks.

A fourth find for this Friday afternoon. Caching after work - one of the joys of daylight saving! Thanks Minifig Ant.
The final of 5 caches found hiking through Jerra hill today. There is a trackable sitting in here, but since I'd already picked up one earlier I let the Mozzie stay. Thanks for the cache, TNLN
A damp and dismal day actually turned out to be a fantastic day of caching with Captain Tomato
The aim was to find enough caches to kick CT's tally up to 2,999 - even though I wasn't going to be able to accompany him on the "big one" I would be there in spirit and well wishes
Thanks for the great company. And TFTC
pleasant walk

The weather forecast for today looked a bit dismal (showers becoming rain) but Secret Squirrel and I took the chance and headed out for a fantastic day of caching. The aim was to find enough caches to kick my tally up to 2,999 - a successful mission, and now its just a case of picking a suitable cache for the milestone. Thanks for the great company. And TFTC, this is a really nice open bit of forest.
Parked in a sort of nearby street and took a short walk into the bush and GZ.
Glad to see the road is open for all to use.
Thanks for another cache Minifig Ant....

4996 + 565 = 5561. A quickish find at lunchtime with Sol de Lune...
We decided not to park on the side of the Parway. So we went around into the suburb and had an easy 700m walk in to this cache. Found, logged and we were on our way. Thanks again Minifig Ant !

Scrambled in from Temora Place. It's amazing how quickly this was built. Perhaps a lesson to the ACT Govt..
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Well!!!!!! I didn't know that was open. I walked in from Karabar. Nice to see the connection now made, TFTC.
Was on my way out to the Googong dam today and had to stop at Jerra pub to place a bet on a horse with the geomum. She had a hot tip and wanted to put some money on it. It won we found on later on. Anyway after placing the bet I knew this cache had just came out so thought hey why not go grab it. So parked on the side of the parkway and under the fence I went. Up to the cache and had a laugh. TFTC
Oooooo - a new road... Never been on that before! Tomtom thought I was driving in the bush! Thanks Minifig Ant.
1018. I was at home with the brother in law trying to errect the pergola from hell. After packing up the tools for the day, I decided to go for a little drive. I parked on the edge of the parkway and headed up the hill. Located the hide quickly and was surprised to find a blank log. A *FTF* @ 1745 hrs. Thanks Minifig Ant for the cache.
