It's the time for Mr Hunters' to take his big annual leave chunk for the year, 1.5 years into his first full time social work role in his home city of Canberra. This year, I decided to jump on my parents' holiday to Perth (next week) but beforehand, I wanted a solo geocaching splurge. I spotted the LGA series not too far from Perth, so I soon booked accommodation for 5 nights in Boddington with the intention to finish the entire series within that time. I was really looking forward to some quiet time for solo geocaching and to have simple pub meals in a quiet country town, I've been extremely busy over the past few months and given my job involves a lot of emotional energy, I wanted to visit a secluded location as far away from home as you can get, absolutely brilliant.I leave Boddington tomorrow so today, I took a lovely country drive to the mines, Quindanning, Williams and Wandering to collect some of the caches near the LGA series that I skipped during my big run on the series, plus some extra ones that I wanted (i.e. virtual and AL). Thankfully, the road into the bush towards GZ was manageable for my car, then I wandered through the bush for a quick find. Nice, quiet area, barely anyone was on the roads around Wandering today which was very peaceful. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Down in Narrogin for the 10th anniversary of WA Goes Big! What a relief it is being away from the city for a few nights. As expected it was a busy weekend of caching and this meant driving to all corners of the shire and beyond. Picked up plenty of cache and hopefully will be back soon to clear off the rest of the map. Thanks to West Oz Geocaching for a great weekend of events!
Back out in the Wheatbelt for an extended long weekend, attending the WA Goes Big 10th anniversary event in Narrogin. Hoovered up plenty of new caches in both Narrogin and surrounding districts, and had a great time with fellow cachers. Thanks to West Oz Geocaching for organising another ripper event! Caches signed through the weekend as ‘CC’ (meaning Cockburn Crew) to save space on logbooks. Cheers briantbg!
Found with Deefa71 on our way to WAGB23 in Narrogin. Looking forward to a fun weekend with my fellow geogeeks! Tftc
Today Taurus Six and I are heading to Narrogin , via a round about route to join the WAGB 2023 geocaching weekend. We needed to work first thing this morning, so once all necessary matters were dealt with we finally got away late morning. It was a nice drive through Collie on to Williams on this sunny and chilly day. Our aim on day one was to collect some of the Albany highway caches between Williams and Crossman before heading to Wandering and then circling our way back to Narrogin.

What a lovely area! Quick find for the youngest Geodaughter. Found with Redrobbin25. Tftc
A nice quick find in a lovely location! Found with teamlaroche! Thanks for the cache
Heading home after grabbing a FTF nearby and decided to take a detour to this one. Found a track in and ended up parking about 45 meters from GZ and the container was spotted soon after. A great area right by the river, not sure it would be allowed but this spot would make a great campsite.
briantbg I found your cache at 10:33am, this was the 13th of 13 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 7833. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Wasnt sure about this one. Saw this on the map a couple years ago and it sounded difficult to get to. In was in fact the complete opposite. Took the bush track to within 80m of the cache but could have almost driven all the way. Great location!
On the way to Narrogin, detour. Find it and sign the log as EV, and thanks for the cache and hunt.
Log book was still a bit damp, so have signed and left another piece of paper in a zip lock bag.
TFTC briantbg this is find #14694 for us.

WoW - So intriguing, the history around this wonderful little location, it’s like an untouched museum with plenty of untold stories to tell.
This is why we enjoy Geocaching, it takes us to some really interesting places on our travels
Thanks to the COs for sharing this amazing part of WA’s State’s History

Nice easy find staying at Gnaala Mia. Log soaked and couldn’t write so here’s a photo
Parked against the one lane bridge out of the way. Gingerly picked my way to GZ. Log was wet but I managed to sign below LPN. Thanks for the cache.
We parked at the roadway and walking in through the open bushland. We kept an eye out for snakes but never saw any. Maybe that's more of a summer thing.
Cache was out in the open so we placed it back where we thought it should be.

icky#8 is in a great little quiet spot but s/he's very lonely and keen on getting more visitors. Thanks for bringing us out to such a popular spot for kangaroos.
Another quick find here today after getting to GZ, enjoying our off-road venture with PP2 TFTC
Not icky at all and very much enjoyed the walk/run to the cache location. TFTC.
Went on a road trip with grandma allinaday. We stopped at many places that I had never been before. We saw and admired many different wildflowers and orchids when we were looking for caches. The fields were nice and green, and I loved the yellow canola fields too. It was fun looking for the caches too. TFTC
On our way back to Williams from Wandering, diverted slightly to find this cache. Beautiful spot that is well away from the road. Enjoyed the short walk through the bush to find this cache. TFTC
Spent a lovely cool Thursday off amongst clear blue skies in the bush with Barnzy12 chasing down some elusive caches that have always escaped the radar around the rural towns of dwarda, boddington, wandering and a few others.
We had our eyes on nabbing a FTF son a cache in wandering which we had noticed was available on Monday evening but decided to leave the chase for today, we figured people wouldn't be crazy enough to go for it on a weekday and luckily we were rewarded there.
We continued around finding a bunch of other caches around wandering before moving to codjadotine and then venturing grabbing various bush caches which really was the order of the day with some nice walks through pristine untouched bush.
We continued around with one of us having to get the shoes off and the feet wet to grab a nice t3 cache and collected a few more caches that have been very unloved (twelve plus months) which was nice.
We managed to cleanup a number of caches today which helped our stats page out heaps! We filled in a jasmer grid with the fire lookout dryandra cache, a large with the adventure out mystery cache, a FTF and even some unloved caches with a total of two years unloved found today which is always a pleasure.
Thanks for making us stop and slow down to explore an area of Western Australia we have travelled many many a time but never stopped to fully explore and appreciate. Some individual comments in the logs. Thanks go to the local COs for a great day out.

Jinta29 and I packed the swags and headed down south for a couple of days. We had a plan to grab some caches and this was one of them.
A short walk from where we parked and the cache was spied on approach.
Very serene here this morning.

Kyzabra and I were evicted by our respective loved ones and told to head off for a day or so. Well, how could we ever turn down an offer like that! We packed up the swags, some food and headed down this way for a bit of adventure.
Gotta love geo road-trips and i look forward to doing more exploring around this area.

Unexpectedly, a quick and easy find after aprking on the south side of the bridge and walking in through pleasant and generally open bushland. SL. Thanks to brianbg for a cache with good memories .
A bit of a detour while heading to Wandering. Enjoyed the 130 mts walk along the creek bed to gz. Container in good order. Thanks briantbg.

It's always nice to be caching in open forest when it is snake season rather than walking through low undergrowth so this was a very pleasant short walk to GZ. The cache can't be missed when arriving at GZ. The contents are nice and clean and dry. These are great cache containers. Thanks for the hide briantbg [^]
We returned and found the cache in a very nice patch of bush. The cache was in the open.
Wouldn't ya know it - ran out of batteries 450 metres from the cache! We will return!
(Chwiliwr team catch up log)
After the previous cache this was a pleasant walk from the bridge through the bush to GZ. Cache was soon found by Gwiber in a spot we had already looked at but not well enough it seems. Joint *FTF* with Gwiber.
Thanks briantbg for the cache.

Another trip down south this afternoon after Chwiliwr finished work as I could not let these go.
I'm banned from coming down here again if any more are published, at least if Chwiliwr is driving
Thanks for the cache
Dropped off The Hoot as I thought this was the perfect spot for him
