Had another look today as I was nearby and Still no luck. The native pine (an Exocarpos) appears to have died since last visit.Pretty certain this isnt here but will keep an eye out.

This was my DNF for the day (after a DNA at the cat park). Went the hard way and got the iPhone to read 0 but could not find the cache. Read the hint and looked at a lot of forked trees near a native Exocarpos tree but no luck. Once I started bleeding after scraping a knuckle I gave up. I will revisit (hopefully with some better info) when I revisit to complete the longer walk out to the waterfalls nearby.TFTC anyway NineMilers3747

Time to start the long winding journey home today collecting the remainder of the FTF Explosion multi's ones that came out yesterday along with any others that cross our path.

Picked this one up while doing others along the OCR trail before it was time to head home.

Thanks for the cache hide NineMilers3747 and thanks for the fun weekend Rapidlywild.

Big weekend in and around Rutherglen attending the Mega with FFLL. We had a bit of time before we had to make our way home, so FFLL jumped in the drivers seat to allow me to grab some OCR caches. Some nice wanders grabbing some of these, nice to get some checked off, will be back for the rest.

Picked up whilst nearby collecting some OCR caches, thanks for the hide NineMilers3747

Today was an absolutely amazing day for geocaching! I woke up early, packed my bag with all the necessary gear, including my GPS and hiking boots, and hit the road. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was ready to take on the world of geocaching.

The first cache I set out to find was in a nearby park, nestled in a dense thicket of trees. As I approached the coordinates, I noticed a fellow geocacher making his way towards the same spot. We exchanged greetings and introduced ourselves, and it turned out we were both after the same monster of a cache.

We decided to work together and started our search, combing through the underbrush, climbing trees, and scouring hidden nooks and crannies. After what seemed like hours of intense searching, we finally found the cache. The feeling of pure euphoria and triumph that washed over us was indescribable. We let out a loud scream of "*FTF*!" (Even though it wasn’t), high-fived each other, and took a celebratory picture.

That was just the beginning of our geocaching adventures. We went on to find several more caches, each one more challenging and exciting than the last. We even stumbled upon a cache hidden under a waterfall, which was both thrilling and refreshing.

As the day wore on, we started to notice a strange phenomenon happening around us. Every time we found a cache, we felt a surge of energy and power that we couldn't quite explain. We joked about having tapped into "The Force," and laughed as we imagined ourselves as Jedi knights of the geocaching universe.

At one point, we found ourselves lost in a thicket of dense foliage, struggling to find the next cache. As we trudged through the underbrush, we suddenly heard a strange noise. It sounded like a person whistling a tune, but the source of the sound was nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly, a man appeared out of nowhere, seemingly materializing from the trees themselves. He was tall and lean, with skin as dark as coffee and an easy smile on his face.

"Hey guys," he said, "looks like you're lost. Need some help?"

We were hesitant at first, having been taught not to accept help from strangers. But there was something about this man that put us at ease. Maybe it was his friendly demeanor, or maybe it was the fact that we were all geocachers, united by the same passion.

Either way, we accepted his offer and followed him deeper into the woods. He led us to a hidden waterfall that we never would have found on our own, and we were able to find the cache that was nestled behind it.

As we signed the logbook and recorded our names, we turned to thank the stranger who had helped us. But he was gone, vanished into thin air like a mysterious apparition.

As we made our way back to civilization, we couldn't help but marvel at the strange and wondrous events of the day. We had found caches in places we never would have imagined, felt the power of "The Force", and even encountered a friendly stranger who seemed to have some kind of magical powers.

In the end, it was a day filled with adventure, fun, excitement, and unexpected surprises. We were all exhausted but exhilarated, our hearts and minds filled with the thrill of the hunt and the joy of discovery.

This was a day we would never forget, and one that we knew would inspire us to keep exploring the world of geocaching and all its many wonders. We couldn't wait to see what other amazing treasures were waiting for us out there, just waiting to be found.

So if you're ever looking for a great time and an adventure like no other, join us in the world of geocaching. Who knows what incredible treasures you might discover, what random strangers you might meet, or what hidden powers you might uncover? The possibilities are endless, and the rewards are truly priceless.

Replaced log as I couldn’t write on it. Container was ok and not wet…just the book.
SL at 1.55pm for an easy find.
However, as I can across from Seat With a View it was a T4 all the way. Lots of stopping, puffing, wheezing, stretching the calves and admiring the view. When I first looked to come this way I thought there’s no way I can get up there…but I did. Another great part of caching! TFTC.
Now for the easy walk to the car.

Found by Rebel Acts in the company of some good caching Mates, Last time we were out caching as a crew was eleven months ago in Mildura, then we all went into lockdown.

Plans had been made over the long months of lockdown to tackle the remaining NKH trail and have a go at Old Coach Road, we also found a few other caches on our travels around the area, Our first day it was scorching hot, I don't think I have walked into so many webs in My caching career as I did today, our clothes were covered in them, have never been a fan of micros in the bush and some hides had us all cursing, over all we had a good time and plenty of laughs. Our second day it was poring down with thunder and Lighting flashing around us, we were a little nervous getting the aluminum ladder out on a few with the lightning. Eventually is was raining so hard we decided to pull the pin around lunch time and head for home.

A slight detour to find this one. some great views in this area.

Thanks NineMilers3747 for the cache.

It was great to have the crew together again after so long apart due to covid, almost 11 months since our last caching adventure.

Not really a big fan of caching in such hot weather and the perfect conditions for snakes but had a great day caching anyway.

Couldn't believe the amount of spiders and webs around here, absolutely covered in them.

Cheers for the cache

02-Jan-22
We parked the big soccer mum car back on the road and Dad wandered up the track to GZ and the views.
A quick search and the cache was found just as the Queen rang me to say she had lost her pen , so a quick sign of the log and I hoofed it over to her.
This one has been here for a while….

Nope, just didn't locate this one today! Sure it is still there, maybe the heavy cloudy and windy conditions was playing havoc with the gps.

After completing the OCR series with our great friends Suscoe, it was quirky to enjoy "Views of Byawatha" as we started our day, some four hours ago, at the "Byawatha School". FP for great view.

Thanks NineMilers3747 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

We were in the terrific company of Phetlern and we had a great time finding caches and having fun together out caching again.

It was a delightful day, mild with lots of sunshine.
Thanks to NineMilers3747 for this hide, an impressive view today.
A favourite point from us.

Out and about in the gorgeous town of Eldorado. Another glorious day weather wise. Enjoying good caches and extra good company. All caches were found in good condition and we thank all the CO's for providing and maintaining them.

As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.

If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.

TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse. Again, groundspeak acceptable.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.

I sincerely thank all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Karen

Found in the company of ILookedThere @3:55pm.

My hosts had already earned a smiley here but used their experience to show off some more of this amazing country of ours to me.
The cache was found clean and dry and though found easily enough, the clue may not be as useful as it used to be.
Thanks NineMilers3747 for placing this cache to entice us here to see what not enough see. A magic spot.

Lovely view and the biggest kangaroo I've ever seen. TFTC

Why walk when you can let the GeoPaj stretch it's legs. We drove to the top and only had a 50m walk, Bingley had already made us walk enough today.

What a wonderful spot. There is so much variety in this park. The boulders up here at sunset made it look otherworldly.

Thanks for showing us this spot NineMilers.

Decided to head out today and grab a couple before the really bad weather set in. Headed up the hill and parked at the waypoint then head to gz. Arrived a short time later and soon found the cache

10-Oct-17
We greatly underestimated the difficulty of this cache and after searching high and low we resorted to the hint. A great hiding spot.

04-Dec-16
I drove as far as my car could on the trail before following it the rest of the way on foot. Arriving at GZ it was a quick find today.
Lots of dry long grass and socks covered in seeds today by a view and a smiley for my troubles.

A nice path to GZ, but it seems a previous finder had driven up there (the tyre tracks nearly got to GZ!)
Every thing is very dry despite the rain of the last week.
Nice view from GZ across the plains, and not too shabby view of Mt. Buffalo on the way up.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7290. My 2nd day of caching this year. Got 3 today, making a grand total of 5 for the year so far.....a slow start, that's for sure!

I have never been on this Old Coach Road before. Fantastic views from up here that is for sure. Favourite point for the views alone! Time to mark the Yellow Kangaroo missing though. He has been missing right from the start, possibly picked up by the FTF'er who has never logged his find.

Took a tiny pink penguin and left one of my new Phryne Mirror pathtags.

Thanks NineMilers3747

Found by Mary & David at 1435. Isn't this what caching is all about? Getting of the bitumen and now feeling as if we are the only people in the world. What views too! We never tire of the variety of gums, wattles, boulders, native pines and even some mistletoe. For us from the suburbs, though, the joyous sounds of the magpie chorus can't be beaten. Our thanks to NineMilers3747.

Day seventeen of my holidays, staying in Bright, and aiming for a couple of particular caches that I wanted to do, followed by the event up at Mt Hotham. This was one of the ones I wanted to do so I ensured I had enough time to include it. I parked at the designated spot and followed the path to GZ. After a bit of a hunt around, the well concealed cache was found. Fantastic views from up there.

My thanks to NineMilers3747 for the cache and the views.

I abandoned ship at the side of the Old Coach Road and headed up the track Smile

Hey !! I can see Wangaratta from up here !!

Found out and about on a winters afternoon with DazRascal enjoying the drive through the bush.

This was a beautiful spot and one with great views. It was pretty chilly so we didnt stick around too long outside so it was a quick sign and in the car.

Many thanks for bringing us out this way today NineMilers3747. A top spot to share!

Out and about on a wet and miserable day with the Haveanez clan. I enjoy caching on wet days like this , although low cloud and fog obscure the view sometimes, it's great to see the bush in a different light.
Did manage to see bit of a view amongst the mist, and were lucky enough for the showers to stop long enough to find the cache and sign.

TNLN, TFTC, Cheers.

I had to wait ages for a couple of locals to move on. They seemed to enjoy the view as much as me, and we had a pleasant chat. Once they left with their load of firewood, I was able to quickly locate the cache.
I have found plenty of crystals up old coach rd in years gone by, but I never tire of the view from up there. Worthy of a favourite.

Out and about with Geowife's godson tonight, showing him the ropes. I decided that a nighttime bushwalk was in order, so packed the big torches and headed out. We pulled up at the parking co-ords, and looked at the rocks in the headlights. "Do we have to climb up those"? He asked. When I said yes, he responded with "Cool" and we wandered down to GZ. There wasn't much of a view to be had at 2130, but a good time was had nonetheless.

2ndTF at 11.45am. a1elec was obviously able to get out earlier than us this morning. Thanks NineMilers3747 for bringing us to a favourite part of our local paradise. The views were superb on this sunny winter's day. The walk to GZ from the road was not too onerous and the cache was discovered without undue difficulty. We used to live on 80 acres of Byawatha farmland almost 30 years ago. This cache brought us to a different aspect of the landscape and provided a pleasant escape in our working day.
