This is another of this CO's caches that is gone. The hide contains slaters and earwigs but no cache as seen in photo.
Found the caches home, but alas it was empty.Definitely know we are in the right place as a version of the same idea had us stumped for half an hour earlier in the weekend
Found but no log to sign. Messaged owner to fix. Out with Kimmy +co and Geeves90 for the weekend.
Out with geeves90 and hayzz. Have come up from Wellington for a long weekend of exploring
A nice quick find thanks. sneaky too. We had to wait for the golfers to tee off first so we could replace.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. It was a great weather most of today and we travelled from Whanganui to Turangi..
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Spotted as we arrived and swiped while golfers were busy. A bit harder to return as I had to wait while they came down the hill and then it took me a while to rotate 3 times to get the correct alignment. Tftc
Took me awhile to work out what was odd but that's ok because I had a bit of time to kill due to someone parking up nearby in a golf cart. And in my "defense" from where I was sitting, part of my car blocked my view. Once I spotted the odd one, cache was quickly located and replaced. Fav point awarded
A quick find, while signing the log something touched my arm, I look down and see a lovely muggle dog, tftc
Very clever cache. Really enjoyed that. Except for the resident bugs sharing to cache hide. Excellent. TFTC
#8306. Up to Whanganui today to attend the nearby Community Celebration Event. After lunch we did a long beach walk and then looked for a few local caches. Now driving around with Infoferret, Ethness and barefootguru (Team BIGE for the caches signed today). Parked nearby and we could see the likely hiding spot from the car. My calf muscle was playing up after the 7 km beach walk so left 2 other members of the team to make the find. Nicely camoed cache. BFG signed it for all of us. Thanks mjmnz for the cache.
Day 1 (With Squirrel Nutcase) of our Whanganui road trip.
Knew this was going to be a long day today. First cache found about 8am and last one found just before midnight.
Mission today Event, A cache starting with the letter U, Several Multi's, Earth Cache, Virtual and anything else we could find.
Achieved all the above.
Thanks to Cache Owners for their placement efforts and sorry about the cut and paste but this was a huge weekend for us. SLTFTC

Had to restrain ornithologist GSEL at the name Clever hide, thanks mjmnz — Team BIGE (barefootguru, Infoferret, GSEL, Ethness).
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... On a road trip weekend - We haven’t been on anything like this since Covid Episode One in March. A special Community Event in Whanganui got our attention. So we’re off to the ‘River City’ for a bit of fun...
Day One of our adventure - We intended on caching out some big trails, with the Community Event being the key focus... The iPhone gps sent me down the fence line. By the time the device settled, Gap had already found this good hide. Thanks mjmnz and TFTC.

Found whilst wandering around with BFG, Ethness and GSEL today. Logs generally signed as BIGE. TFTC!
We were out of this area of Whanganui after the Celebration event and so decided to collect this cache as well. TFTC
An easy find this evening. Noticed it as we were driving up to the GZ. While filling out the log a German Shepherd appeared from nowhere and came right up to me. Scared me senseless. Thankfully it was friendly; a quick sniff and it wandered off. TFTC!
#11,926. Park and grab on Waitai Street in Whanganui. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. Good hide. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Once again I find myself in Wanganui for the weekend (up from Welly). Another perfect day for finding some caches, and this was one. All safe and dry here, TFTC.
I seldom get up to Wanganui in general, but the pull of Geocaching has given me impetus to pay more attention to it in recent years. With the vast majority of my plans for 2020 having been blown out of the water due to events beyond my control, I decided that a good long day caching up here was exactly what I needed, especially if I was to be able to do it in good company as was the case today.
My callout for company earlier this week was ably answered by Etherlord Clan and pgcnz, and all our logs today were signed either individually or else as Team PET as space on each logsheet allowed.
The Hint served to make this a very quick find at GZ. The biggest issue was trying not to be noticed doing what we were doing by some golfers on the nearby Green. Luckily a dog padded over from a nearby house to soak up some attention and provide us with a distraction. The usual log administration completed, everything was replaced as found and then we were back on our way again

Out early this morning looking for caches. After having the one at the golf course entrance, I headed down this way to grab this one. Spotted the hiding spot right away and made the quick find. Seen plenty of hawks up here (even as I'm writing this, one is hanging around almost right over my dad's house). All good here. TFTC
Lovely sunny day to head out to the beach and collect some smileys. No problems here. Thanks.
This is my first full day in Wanganui getting lots of caches around town. TFTC.

(# 5235). Off on a road trip from Wellington today to grab some caches for the Mystery At The Museum challenge. Spotted the hide quickly though had to wait for a couple of golfers to move on before retrieving. Everything in order. TFTC
Quick find here on our new year outing after work. Nicely crafted. Tftc fav point.
Day 4/9 of our New Years trip up to the North Island. This was find #32/43 for the day and #201/526 of our trip.
While staying in Palmerston North we took a daytrip to Whanganui to see what we could see. It was a great day but so hot! After we took a swimming break at Splash Centre to cool down we got back to business. Due to the hint I could spy the correct one from the car so it was a quick find. Nice hide BTW. Later we would revisit this spot searching for my GPS lanyard with our spare carkey on it. Sadly we couldnt find it Thanks for the effort involved in placing and creating this cache for all of us to enjoy.

Nice sunny day after work, perfect day for a drive to the golf club to have a look at populating another cache finding day in my profile stats page.
Cache location was quick to spot and the cache easily retrieved.
All in good order.
Cheers.

After a morning of chores I decided to take advantage of the beautiful sunny day and head out for an afternoon of geocaching. I knew there had been half a dozen new caches published in Whanganui recently, so decided to head that way to see how many new ones and old ones I could collect in a couple of hours.
I am not sure why I haven't looked for this cache before now - I have never noticed it on the map before I guess. There were some golfers playing on the nearby green, but they were too engrossed in their game to worry about what I was up too. Cache was a quick find here and I could head to the next one. TFTC

Great start to the day! Weather wise and clever cache wise! Cool hide! TFTC adding FP because it was one of the memorable caches of the day.
First cache on our day trip from the Naki to collect Planet souvenir points....Interesting read on the Harrier Hawk and a great hide! I pointed it out to trayc.g as the odd one out. FP awarded. TFTC
Cache all in good condition. Had to go back to the bus to get something and husband had it already in his hand. Would not have been able to get log otherwise.
I remember coming here several years ago to have a look for this but the cache's enclosing object must have been missing as I spotted it easily from over 10 metres away today. Signed log, TFTC
Thought it was about time I finnish off the caches here in Wanganui been putting off for to long
So I plan to do at least one cache a day until I have finnish all of the caches in Wanganui
Found and retrieved the cache easy enough but had to wait for 4 groups of golfers to move on before returning it

Wanganui Day 2
After lunch we wanted to head towards the ocean, although it isn't a pleasant sight.
We found a variety of caches in many different hides. This was liking a tiki tour of the area.
This was a good hide, we have given it a favourite point.
Thanks for placing this cache mjmnz

No harrier hawks here today, maybe some eagles and birdies over the fence! A nice little cache, but it is very exposed to viewing from the golf course. TFTC
Quickly in hand. Lid was hard to get off. Thanks for all the caches we are getting to do.
I have been a bit slack during the month of September (only finding one cache before today) so I needed to get out to increase my numbers. It was palnned for a car full of cachers to head over to Wanganui, but as the day neared, numbers dwindled so it ended up just being myself and Tommygun9. It was a warm spring day with plenty of muggles out and about. I ended up finding 30 odd caches with three frustrating DNF's
Easily spotted the hide from the car. Too obvious perhaps?? Nearby dogs parking away but their owner didn't take any notice.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.

Hide spotted from the car once again and quickly retrieved by SpudNZ. T F T C mjmnz.
SpudNZ and I headed off for a September afternoon mission and Wanganui was the destination. I ended up with about 30 odd caches (on a dot day too) and we met another cacher along the way. I had only found three caches for September so this was a fortunately timed trip. Thanks to all the local hiders for making today's trip enjoyable.

Still no sign of the missing top part of the cache. Found two logs with it so signed both - one inside and one attached.
Top part of cache is AWOL
have made a temp concealment out of zip lock and concealed with leave matter and bark.
couldn't locate a "spare top" in the vicinity, or would of fashioned one up ( tools still in car)
so did what i could with available matz.
old log is in the ziplock bag that forms the top of concealment.

few people here and there, some in at golf range, and a man and son messing with their horse on road, picked up some pine cones and I was ignored while Jesserfly located GZ.
I joined her and as she searched under, I mentioned that she should look at the object in question.
Cache taken to car, Log full, replaced with new one.
Placed old log in small zip lock and cable tied to cache, concealed top area with leaf matter/ crumbled bark -see maintenance log-
Cheers

In W(h)anganui for a few caches. Popmac had issues finding this cache previously, but I spotted the likely hiding sport straight away. Top of hiding hole is missing. Thanks for the cache.
Had to wait till some golfers finished kn the green. Top half of hide appears missing. Tftc
Finally had the time to visit these caches over this side of town while in town for the Masters Games. Nicely placed. thank you for the cache.
No muggles about today with the 'breeze' out here, no Harrier Hawks either. TFTH.
I just had to grab this one while I had the chance since the photograph that you are using as your background was taken by me. (It was shot at "Wingspan", a trust that raises & cares for birds of prey out of Rotorua). The cache was found exposed to the elements today. It appears that some kind of cover is missing from the top of the hide. All in working order though.
With the promise that this weekend I had the choice of what to do for one of the two days as a Father's Day treat this double dot day weekend was chosen to offer up a trip to Whanganui and an attempt to turn some more green boxes into yellow smileys
On the way back towards home now and picking up these caches as we pass by this way
Nice hide here mjmnz

Headed south with C&D, for a full weekend of caching, with the first cache being found at 6.00pm Friday night and finishing with an Event in Hamilton at 1.30pm on Sunday afternoon. Both of us had certain caches we were targeting for the Geo Licence series, as well as finding anything else we driving past, or near. All up we found 165 caches, travelled just over 1700kms and had around 5 hours sleep.
All in all it was an EPIC adventure, exploring in and around the Whanganui to Dannevirke area. We found some great caches along the way and saw some great sights. Thanks to everyone for placing all the caches.
Nice little hide. I told C&D that he couldn't have one, what would Mrs. C&D say when he got home???

A bit of a caching trip in the company of HKCB both of us endeavoring to know off a chunk of the requirements for the Geocaching License Series (different stages, different requirements for each of us), so what better excuse for a road trip.
Between 6.30pm Friday and 1,30pm Sunday I collected approx 140 caches (HKCB=155) and many of these needing to be a great distance from home, so little sleep, so much caching
Some figures for the trip were
1/. approx 1700 kms
2/. Caches mentioned above.
3/. some very memorable caches in Wanganui
4/. lots of laughter and lies
5/. 4 hours sleep
I want one of these to take home to play with the cats, I think the bird will win
thanks for the placement

This cache took us quite a while to locate. Although the coordinates had us in right place, after checking the photo, we searched in the wrong area, before realising what we were seeking, and finding it. TFTC
Located during our Easter cache raid of Wanganui. Exposed area with a cold breeze blowing during our visit. Great hide which took a while to locate TFTC.
Watch out for the creepy critters inhabiting GZ. Found with Geco72 during another of our infamous Wanganui Weekenders (even though it's Thursday). Thanks for the cache.
12080... Awesome camo, well done, we liked. Our hawkeyes spotted it on approach, TFTC.
Had a muggle in tow who was very impressed with the hide, having seen this type before and had read the hint, I knew exactly what I was looking for

Another inventive Wanganui hide, I've found quite a few in the last two days, and this one was right up there. SL TFTC
Same cold conditions as down the road so as Mr B pulled up near GZ he said I can see it, so Mrs B had to get out and find it. many thanks
Was in the Cliff today so thought we would stop by and find the 2 caches out this way. There was just as many of us as there were golfing muggles. 7 of us plus my Mum and another Geo caching family of three. We stood back and watched the kids find this one, had a bit of a giggle as one had a hand on it and didn't realise. A nice hide TFTC.
We have seen a few hawks while travelling the roads these past few days, they are large, majestic birds.
Cache was very well camoed, took us a few minutes to track down - and I think the camo will only improve as time passes.

Sneaky hide. Was asked by some golf players to bring along clubs sometime. Liked watching them have some hits. Tftc
