Had a good hunt but it was getting dark so not easy to see in the nooks and crannies
Had a couple of tries at this one on the 26th and 27th of Dec (today). There was no sign of it yesterday and then today we found the empty packaging of a geocoin on the ground by one of the pillars (photo attached).
Hopefully the packaging got accidentally dropped and the cache hasn't been muggled.

In recognition of Clara's winning N.Z. got talent original song last night. "Where do you find love".
Mrs Brown would say...."when you find the freckin cache.
Loved it.

Looked for ages but just couldn't find iit . GPS wouldn't pinpoint the position. "Can't buy me cache" by the Beatles. LOL
Found during 'The Gangsters' trip to New Zealand, being Big Matt, The Rats, steeba and myself.
This one had us jumping for extra height and there it was.
Thanks N!mrod for the cache.

Day 13 of our trip around the south island for the NZ mega with Kinkell1
Thanks for the cache, Highrod - Ballarat, Vic, Australia
Couldn't choose a song, perhaps :
FTF! It's dynamite! By AC/DC
Hi on a hill was a lonely cacher.......
And these are a few of my least favorite things, nanos and micros and small pill containers.
Pickles and toi tois, gauze and those flaxs.
No parking for drive bys, no rest stops provided.
When the wind blows, when the snow falls, when I'm feeling sad, I just remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel soooooo bad.
From the sound of music.
Thanks for providing hours of fun thinking of all the songs we have here, and so many more!!

Returning to Christchurch to catch our flight home early in the morning.
Darby and Joan assisted in the hunt as well as some young local geocachers.
Being nimble assisted in a mighty fine joint effort.

Got to this spot and another car pulled up, didn't recognise occupants, so sat a while then another car pulled in behind us, aaahhh gregandjude met at the mega. Cool 4 pairs of eyes to see if we could crack this one. After a while one of the occupants of the other cars hopped out and asked us if we had found it. As she was a local cacher and had tried this one before. With the combined efforts and our local cacher willing and able to clamber in places we oldies were finding difficult, the goods were found. Our song for this one would be "Smoke gets in your eyes". Gets a favourite point from us. SL. TFTC.
Had a quick search, but quickly realised that micro caches and I don't mix. Back on the road south.
Found a wee while ago - reading the logs some "still havent found what they're looking for", but fortunately we got it "right first time". The spot reminded me of the red hot chilli peppers...... TFTC
We drove "down by the riverside" and had a good search without success and then set off to look for "the graveyard" and came back for a second look. Success this time. TFTC
3rd time was the charm. Used the 5 year old to search the harder to reach or tight spots and he turned up the cache.
We arrived on mass singing from the same song sheet. Titles were mentioned as the search progressed Bridge over Toubled waters and Ol Man River for starters. Applause was heart felt when the prize was eventually found before we resorted to search for "Something in the Water" TFTC
When ever you go caching "What ever will be, will be." Thanks to going with a group we "Never walk alone." TFTC
#381 19th cache of 25 for MacPacMum, JustMeG & PurdiePurdie's Ashburton trip. We arrived as a large group were singing a fond farewell. Managed to hit a few high notes sucesfully and get the hits - thankfully we weren't singing in the shower.
We "Met our little Brown Eyed Dolls" and their partners "Down by the riverside" all hyped up and energised with birthday cake and brightly coloured icing. A very good hide. Thanks.
Thankyou for hiding this as we tried to find thru-out a day of Caches before and after the amazing event of "weekend for two"
will try to find another day....
will try to find another day....
After our initial failure to find this on Friday, we had another look, with The Organist, before today’s event. After our discussions with him, we had a good idea what we were looking for, and at the event N!mrod confirmed this was correct. The only question was where? As it turned out, it was in the most logical spot, somewhere we had looked already, but not thoroughly enough. It was also on the opposite side of the bridge from where our GPS was pointing us, and where we had searched more thoroughly. TFTC
After the big event, "rumour has it" that a crowd would "turn, turn, turn" up at GZ. We were "all shook up" with "suspicious minds" of where cache could possibly be. Kiwi Nomad "got a feeling" & sometimes when you have a hunch "don't think twice" & you'll find the cache like "grease lightening" as did our "super trouper" ! So, "another one bites the dust" & we could just "beat it" but when "you've got a caching friend" or 2 or more, it's "hard to say goodbye".
"Imagine" the "tragedy" if we didn't have geocaching .. [:(!] ?? It certainly makes us "get around" for so much "fun, fun, fun" with a "thriller" of a time to keep us "forever young" !!
Halelujah!

331 We could have held a second event of the day, so many were here when we arrived! It was almost like groupies hanging around the backstage door. This wasn't a bridge over troubled water today! Another tricky hide. Thanks
TFTC. A wee bird whispered down the wires to me that there was a large gathering of event attendees at GZ so we re routed. MacPacMum, justmeg and I arrived to see car doors shutting and received an interesting farewell wave from someone.
Mr Nimrod you are a tricky person.

Have to admit this was our 2nd time here today. After the Weekend For Two Event,A few of us came here to hopefully find The Greatest Hits,Kiwi Nomad, found it quickly, and soon we were all signing the Log Book.Old Man River certainly was flowing fast today.A very clever Cache.TFTH
There was 'Safety in Numbers' as we 'Hunted High and Low' I was the 'Leader of the Pack' and got the log 'Signed Sealed and Delivered' before we 'Hit the Road Jack' and left the 'Danger Zone'.
I think I just got lucky with this one as it was the first place I looked lol.TFTC Cheers Bo
We have to concede defeat on our first visit to this cache, despite a prolonged search.
Still not found eh? Well, having read the logs Karma Reprint and myself pulled up not optomistic about a find. However, 4 minutes later the log was signed and back in place. I think a bit of Queen's "We are the Champions" might be appropriate song for this list? Cheers N!mrod for the FTF a fair way from home.
#97 of 100 on a caching day out with Kiwi Moose.
Expected this to be found by the time we reached GZ, but when we found it the log book was clean, Yeaha.
The cache was in the words of Madonna, "Like a Virgin" and once found there a "Walk like an Egyptian " moment. Hopefully Mr Ridders76 will soon lose the feeling of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"
Had great weather, a great time and there were not too many other people about. Thanks for the day out.

Another go this afternoon. Daylight didn't help any. Concentrated under the bridge as that is the only place D2 and poor reception matches. Usually it is 1D caches that have me stumped.
Oh it's-a lonesome away from your kindred and all
By the campfire at night we'll hear the wild dingoes call
But there's-a nothing so lonesome, morbid or drear
Than to stand in the bar of a pub with no beer
Actually Slim there is something more morbid and that is a GZ search with no cache found.

I can appreciate the frustration of coords being "out" but I have checked this a couple of times and interestingly, the little box icon on the Geocaching map appears absolutely spot on. If the coords are inconsistent, then that is consistent with GZ - a clue. Or consistent with the theme of this cache these lyrics...
But you don't (now do) have a clue
This party hasn't ended yet not for me and you
But you don't (now do) have a clue
This party hasn't ended yet not for me and you
Went out this evening and after 30 minutes admitted defeat and returned home. Had a fairly good look on the bridge and under the bridge.
GZ put me on a knoll beside the drainage ditch about 7m downstream of the bridge.

Coordinates changed to:

Distance from original: 60.6 feet or 18.5 meters.
Checked again and discovered a typo this time. Humble apologies. These lyrics are appropriate "Sorry - blame it on me". In my checking today, I found it depended on which side of the bridge you were as to where GZ was. The cache is within the confines of the bridge structure.

GZ is in a difficult position to get a proper reading. Originally, I took 3 waypoints and all seemed OK - have repeated the exercise and indeed it does seem a bit out. So updated coords submitted and thanks to Ridders for the note.

So far - no smileys. Are these lyrics appropriate?
In the circles I've been running,
I've covered many miles,
And I could search forever for what's right before my eyes,
Just when I thought I'd found it,
It was nothing like I'd planned,
When I got my heart around it, it slipped right through my hands,
Here with you I feel it,
I close my eyes and see it,
In the circles I've been running,
I've covered many miles,
And I could search forever for what's right before my eyes,
Just when I thought I'd found it,
It was nothing like I'd planned,
When I got my heart around it, it slipped right through my hands,
Here with you I feel it,
I close my eyes and see it,
Suggest you double check the cords. GZ had me about 15m north of the bridge in the middle of the highway.
Spent a while looking about but without an accurate GZ wasn't sure where to concentrate.

Spent 10mins looking with hungry members of TeamMcNeill but had to sadly declare a DNF - shame this was our best chance at a FTF
