Logs
After finishing an AL saw that this was quite nearby. Soon had the CIH. TFTC.
Nice day to knock over some Mt Kembla caches. Avenging a previous DNF, this was nice to find. Left a TB. TFTC
Had a look at all the graves while we were here. Very sad. But a nice little find.
Had some time to waste in the area. A nice quick find after completing the windy gully adventure lab. TFTC
Tftc. Showed a friend his first cache today. Good size for a first timer nice cemetery to visit too:)
Widened the search today and quickly had the cache in hand.
Thanks for sharing this cache and it's location with us kembla

DNF today but after reading the previous logs I should come back and have another look soon
I've always wanted to see the Windy Gully Cemetery and it was beautiful today with blue skies and birds chirping.
After a good search within 2m of coords I almost gave up, thinking this cache was going to be my third DNF in a row. As a last attempt I thought "it's not close to coords but it's the one place here I haven't looked" and followed my gut which lead me right to the cache! Trust your gut!
Also when I found it, the lid was open. Luckily the log and contents were dry, but I did manage to lock it back up tight by turning the lid around I left a little lapis stone.
This one gets a fave from me, thanks for the cache!

Find 289 for the tribe
After spending a morning at work I had time to do the Kembla ring track today. First time in it's entirety for me which was good fun especially when you add in the trip down to the knoll and back up again. The whole walk took me about an hour and 45 minutes.
This was near the end of the track. Worth a stop to spend a minute or two reflecting on the mine explosion. It must have had such a massive impact on the community. Even the rescue party weren't spared. Thankful that these disasters are rare in our time.
Needed to widen the search radius a bit to come across this lovely fresh new cache and logbook. TNLNSL. Watch out some of these trees have impressive thorns on them.
Thanks Kembla for the cache and for the encouragement to stop and remember the past.

During our forced Covid -19 lockdown "6" we were going through our note for our trip to QLD Mega and noticed we had missed logging a whole day of caches. Now catching up with those logs. We visited back on 22/4/21 and have no idea how we missed logging this day,
This was indeed a dark day in our history and as the cache page state many many lives would have been changed forever. We spare a few moments to pay respect to the lives lost in this horrible accident.
The cache it's self was found quite quickly and our name added to the log. We had visited the Mt Kembla Hotel earlier and may be Mickey Brennan's ghost felt for us and guided us to a quick find.

Actually here on another mission and wander exploring parts of the "GONG" whilst on a visit from NE Vic. No shortage of interest here in this relatively isolated spot! Cache located quickly but had NO logbook, so replaced with some card I had. TFTC and bringing me here.
Found cache, but unfortunately log was missing. The ground was extremely muddy and I think cache has come loose from heavy rain.
Replaced cache but didn’t have a spare pencil. Otherwise lovely spot and away from the tourist roads.

A great location and very deserving of a cache, however the container could not be located after a search
Found it this morning. Had to wait until a group left the area before we could start searching but we found it. Thanks.
Did the Kembla Ring Trail on a sweaty day, and was very happy to break up the return to car walk with a cache. TFTC
Had no idea this tragedy had happened so long ago! Thanks for the history lesson!
Thanks so much, love that I got to pat the beautiful horse as part of my find.
Beautiful spot, have lived nearby for a short time but had no idea this was up here. My daughter is now old enough to have her own account, this is her first official find.
Up here with Hayden and Katherine.
After a week of drizzle, I think we'll spend a little time in this sunshine exploiting the cemetery.
TFTC.

My first few visits were DNF but I tried again! Found it! Seeing comments about bee's i was sure it was all an exageration because i was yet to see any...until i put it back. It was then that 6 bee's came out of nowhere RUN
Walked past on a regular walk and saw it sitting in the open. Put it in the nearest place that made sense for it to come from. This is different from the last time I was there which may explain GPS coordinates slightly out.
