Without a clue from the CO, I don't think I would have found it. Very nice hide. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide. TFTC

The wonderful CO reached out after our DNF here, a short time ago, and we had the chance to return today. No problems at all with the additional hint we had. I enjoyed the simplicity of the puzzle appreciate the great hide. Thanks FastEd 59

Back in the area today so it was time to face off with Sir Newton. This time I came armed with an extra clue and a sigh of relief when I felt the tricky hide. Thanks FastEd 59

23-Feb-23
Well I’m not doing very well today. two searches, two DNF’s. (sigh)

23-Feb-23
Spotted what the hint mentioned and dug in but didn’t manage to uncover anything cachelike unfortunately. Day’s going well with 2 DNFs to start.

15-Oct-22
This was our third visit to GZ and normally you might turn up for a token look, but I was so determined I tied the bobcat to the back of the car in case I needed it. I don’t actually own a bobcat or probably even man enough to operate one. Still I was prepared to dig to China with my hands if that’s what it took.

I was staring at the treasure map location in between cars stopping at the lights but nothing was coming into view. That’s when I decided I would actually start digging and also when I felt something exciting.

There’s a tomato plant taking over the back of the garden with heaps of cherry tomatoes on it. None of them were ripe and nor do I know what drunkard is watering them, and with what. tftc

This evening, an errand was made nearby to home, and then it was a trip towards Bald Hills and Bracken Ridge for late-night geocaching. The tree fishing TOTT got some use at a few geocaches during the night, and I finished out the evening avenging a couple of DNF caches in Carseldine.

My final cache find this evening, and given it was late at night, it meant that I had the place to myself to search. I had talked to the CO many months ago about this one, of which he provided useful advice to find this cache, but alas it had been so long that it had half-slipped from my mind. I returned back to the "X", and began to search. And then searched some more. I rattled my brain, and with no further memories slipping out, I began to message a previous finder. And as it always happens, as soon as I hit send, I found the little blighter. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. An interesting logbook, as there appears to be a cast of hundreds in the logbook from last visit. Perhaps an underrated cache given the hiding technique, and I would have thought it could easily be in the 3.0 territory, despite the additional element of the research puzzle. At least the maths was able to be quickly computed and enjoyed! Thanks fasted 59 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We met up Roddy C, GrannySmtih1947, Hatzofff and Imbunda, ohhh cannot forget the geo pup Miss Millie for a full day of caching. This cache has been on our radar for a long time so while in the area today targeting tree climbing caches, we decided to stop by this one. Thanks to MummaBear66 for solving this one.

I’ve been here once before but walked away shaking my head… having collected a FTF further north, we’ve got time for one more cache before an appointment in the valley…

Armed with a little more intel it only took a couple of passes before PirateLinda said “Is this what you’re looking for?”

12-Aug-22
Peppa had done the solving on this one but had had a previous DNF so with a few hints from Patrol14 here we are back today with a 'relatively' quick find

06-Aug-22
After attending the CITO event on the Pine River this morning, I am picking up caches on my slow meander home to the southside.
While following an Adventure Lab, it brought me close by to this solved puzzle cache.
Parked in the car park and made my way to GZ. Searched all likely hides but no luck.
Couldn't locate the X or the cache so resorted to a PAF with a previous finder.
With better directions, I was able to locate this cache quickly. Marker has faded to almost non existent. Clever hide.

This puzzle was solved late at night using the help of some armchair googling.
With a good set of numbers, we were out for a great day of geocaching with E Smiley and Georode.
Happy to be out on the north side with the opportunity to collect a few here. We added our name to the log.
Thanks fasted 59

Caching with georode and Domsky before 2's Day Event, picking up some puzzles we have solved in the area.

Thanks for the cache and taking us here fasted 59. Glad we avenged georode's DNF. Was focused on the wrong x, but found the right x, then bingo!

I have had several goes at this one and never found it so today I was passing and thought " One more go, why not" and I no sooner put my hand in and had the cache in hand. What a crafty, sneaky hide but why didn't I get it on previous occasions, once you find it you will wonder too. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC

28-Nov-21
Went for a check after the last DNF. Still tucked away in it's hidey hole. The "X" has slightly faded but still visible.

Happy hunting.

27-Oct-21
This evening after work, I thought I would try to head around Fitzgibbon and then Boondall for a few target geocaches. Although I was able to visit a few long/large multi-cache waypoints, my find count wasn't too successful with more DNFs than finds.

I managed to solve this puzzle back in March 2021, and with the checksum agreeing, I was rather confident of my final.
After parking nearby and making a short walk to this corner, I started to look around for something, and then focused on the hint. After 5-10 minutes of searching, the faded "X" revealed itself, and from there, I tried to hone in on the cache. However even from searching around from that vantage point and some scratching around, no cache was found. Maybe I need a hint on this low difficulty puzzle, or perhaps it has gone walkabouts, so I will watch and see. Thanks anyway fasted 59 for the cache placement.

In the area getting the nearby wherigo decided should grab this while here. Nice easy find also a smart hide. thanks Smile

19-Apr-21
After a comment made at MEGA, decided to check on this one. Cache is still in place waiting to be found. Shrub has gotten a lot thicker and bigger which makes it a little harder to find a spot to sit and reach.

14-Feb-21
Headed to Brisbane with Kestal to collect a list of puzzles to fulfil a challenge I signed in Melbourne last year before the world went crazy. Have had this one solved for ages and am very happy to finally convert it. The hint left us scratching our heads for a bit but Kestal eventually figured it out leading to a quick find. A clever hide. TFTC fasted59

14-Feb-21
Eskies5 hatched a plan to ️ off a challenge she had signed in Melbs before the world was turned on its head. This was the fifth puzzle we signed for today for that challenge. This one had us got ng around in circles before I offered a pointed question to Eskies5 who agreed with me. Once we had that sorted the hide quickly showed itself and our names were in the log book. Oooooh - so sneaky!!
After the earlier DNF, I noticed the new “found it” log and knew we’d have to come back here ASAP to redeem ourselves.

We threw around some ideas and had a good theory to find this elusive one.

With jodsta83 visiting this weekend we made this our last stop for the day and donned our high-vis gear again to be as comfortable as possible while performing the art of geocaching.

With no luck in the first 2 minutes, I ducked away to grab my torch, when jodsta83 came up with the goods. Yesssss! So great to finally have this smiley.

Fabulous hide worth a FP. TFTC, fasted 59!

Out and about with swearah today for a caching adventure day. Armed with confidence and an assortment of TOTT determined to turn this one into a smiley. To my surprise we had the prize in hand within moments. I don't know how we missed this one last time, great hide and nice little puzzle. Tftc

31-Aug-20
Searched for 10mins without success. Also didn't really figure out how the hint might help narrowing down GZ.

I will be back.

31-Aug-20
Solved this puzzle without too many issues and had it in the bank of “to go to’s”. Yay!
First time here, the taxi driver who was parked near GZ just didn’t want a fare. I spent a long while waiting in the car and snapchatted that guy to all my friends explaining my plight I went for a quick look but definitely not enough for a dnf.

Second time here I found what the hint referred to and spent a little time, but felt like awkward turtle so kept on trucking knowing that I’d plan another stop here.

Yesterday, I had jodsta83 with me and donned my high-vis “all is good, I clearly work for some kind of maintenance crew” vest and the two of us spent quite a while here with torches, kitchen tongs and other random items that may be of use when finding a cache.
No luck for us this time. Thanks for the puzzle (love them!) but we’ll have to try again another day

Came back to this one recently (luckily it's near a favourite haunt of mine) and made a better search in the clearly signed place. This time no probs, though it did help with less traffic. TFTC!

Oh my, what a great hide! Came back today after troubles yesterday and asking for another hint! Loved the hide very much! Fun puzzles too and felt like a dummy today after yesterday

06-Jan-20
Had a good dig stopping at gz, even had a muggle walk past and ask if I'd lost my cat. A DNF for me.

26-Dec-19
Ooooh would not have found it without the hint! Clever. Thanks muchly!

07-Dec-19
Quick easy find thanks

05-Dec-19
Woohoo. That's number 200 for me.

After 15 mins of wandering around GZ and getting some very strange looks from the passing muggles, i decided it was time to call in the big guns for some pointers.

I wasn't expecting the CO to turn up at GZ 5 mins later to give some personal instructions. Thanks for that FastED.

Great to chat and put faces and connections to the many names I often see on the Geocaching App.

You get a FP from me for the service you provided today in helping out a lost Geocacher. Smile

07-Nov-19
Have to admit to needing a hint to find this one. After finding it, the clues (both original and revised) made sense. Sure is camouflaged well these days. Excellent hide. FP worthy. TFTC

06-Nov-19
Checked on the cache today and it is still in place.

May have to look at making the X marks the spot a little more visible.

28-Oct-19
This one got the better of us this afternoon. We will return, because I know it's there!!! DNF, but only for now...

21-Feb-19
When I started out this morn this was not the cache I expected to struggle with, but boy oh boy I checked every blade of grass and every object at the gz...which given the location and muggles, is no mean feet. The co has he patience of a saint, I sent all kinds of weird and whacky snaps to him and eventually I found that insane cache! Go you, fav point tftc

27-Dec-18
After the recent DNF decided to check on this one. Cache is still in place, but the "X" has faded.
Look closely.

23-Dec-18
Oh no ! Unfortunately today I wasn’t successful in being able to find your cache. Thanks for the opportunity FastEd 59 to hunt for it.

Out with snickersallan after the CITO event of the day.

Another puzzle we had long since solved. Matching colours made it a little difficult to spot at first.

Caching today with Dora the Explorer!.

We were going to be driving past this cache today so we just did a quick solve and hopefully a quick find.

The find was not so quick as we were focused on another area.

Got there in the end.

4/11/17, 5:38 pm Find #1222
Having been past the COs house quietly today to collect something from his wife while he slept, I had been out and done a variety of caches, mostly from his significant other, and was just heading home after adding one from his daughter to the list as well, when all of a sudden I realised I had this one solved and would be driving directly past it. Well I just HAD to stop then and grab one more cache, didn't I?!
Parking the car a little further away I strolled over to GZ to attempt a search as muggles drove, or walked or rode past constantly. Hmmm well how am I going to do this without being obvious. Picking my moments hurriedly between light changed and mini lulls in traffic, I searched here there and all around, but it seems I missed sighting a particular clue. A quick PAF and I still felt like I was in the dark, but I slowed and sat myself down and started to feel around instead and all of a sudden I came up victorious... and that's when I finally spied the clue. Doh! Yep here's that Dummy! Red Face
Thanks for the cache FastEd 59.

15-Aug-17
New log dropped into cache. All is good to go. The "X" is still marking the spot.

10-Aug-17
I solved this puzzle a long time ago and needed help from my good friend google. i have driven past this spot many times and even stopped once but always muggles. Tonight sharpem and I decided it might be a good time to get this cache. noone at gz and we looked for awhile until i saw something that made the hint make sense. I don't think I ever would have found it without the hint. what a fantastic hide . thankyou for placing this cache here for us to enjoy.

10-Aug-17
Found this one at night with Quesera on a fairly muggle free evening, thank you for the hint which helped a lot and for the very clever well hidden cache

30-Jul-17
I have had this puzzle solved for a looooong time, but not had time when in the area to find it. Today, I wasnt far away, so decided to head to GZ. I felt quite exposed whilst searching for the cache. Luckily, it didnt take long to find and my name was soon in the logbook. TFTC

30-Jul-17
This is our second attenpt at this one and our second time leaving empty handed. Any hints from the cache owner would be more than welcome!

10-Jul-17
Went to check. Looks like the HP sign has been removed.
Cache is in place. Still a couple of places left in the log. Will drop a new one in soon.
I have amended the hint.

06-Jul-17
My blood pressure tends to err on the low side and so it was a chilled out night wandering the trails with other confused cachers... This was a familiar location from a previous occupation

06-Jul-17
The puzzle was quickly sorted & sat quietly in our 'To Find' list until tonight.
In the area with a few friends & thought what better time to make the grab.
A nice quick find once we 'identified' the correct spot.
Made our marks & replaced as found.

Rearranged the garden for a bit before making this my 700th unknown. TFTC

25-Sep-16
Marco had solved this one and checked he had the correct co-ordinates. At GZ we looked and looked but ended up coming away empty-handed.

28-Aug-16
Decided to try and finally turn this one into a smile this morning.
Again felt like bit if a twat walking around in a garden when there's a nice path right there but I did my impersonation of a Pokemon go player so that hopefully that made it look ok.
I was concentrating on a few things that I thought matched the clue but again no luck. Decided it was time to go find another puzzle as working on a tight time line this morning. As I drove off past GZ there was a feature I hadn't checked. The coords would be a bit off but worthy of a look. Parked up the road and walked back. No that wouldn't work at all but then I noticed something I had noticed before but not concentrated on. That has to be it. And yep there was the sneaky cache.
A nice puzzle that I could solve with a sneaky hide at the end.
Well done FastEd59.

27-Aug-16
Out and about today to find a mystery cache. I had solved this awhile ago and as it wasn't too far from home I went to check it out. I pretty much knew where it should be, just couldn't find the little devil. I have to admit I did a PAF because I felt a bit exposed - I'm glad I did because not only did I find the cache, but I got a cuppa invite as well Big Grin. TFTC FastEd, sorry I missed you this morning Smile

08-Aug-16
I had the morning to do some caching on the Northside this was the 11th of 14 finds.

I had previously had an unsuccessful hunt for this cache last year and the CO had verified that I was blind on that occasion.

Today I was back in the area and thought I should have another attempt.

I parked close to the area and searched all the locations that I had searched last time and, of course, the cache was in none of those spots.

Then I pot my hand back into a spot which I had searched previously and a finger nudged against something. Ah ha! There was the blighter. Sneaky...

Thanks for the cache FastEd 59

30-Jul-16
This was the first puzzle cache I ever solved, but I never collected it despite walking past most days! For some reason the number of favourite points motivated me to collect it today... TFTC!

03-Apr-16
I somehow ended up at a nearby cafe chatting to some fellow cachers and this puzzle showed up on my device.

After reading the description I realised that this was the kind of puzzle I could actually solve while having a coffee.

We dropped by on the way out of town and the sneaky little cache was soon found.

Thanks for the cache FastEd59. Cheers!

17-Mar-16
I can't remember how long this one had been sitting in the solved pile, but I do remember the DNF last May when Ghostgums and I made our first attempt... Twisted

Up this way for a training course all week, I decided it was time to give it more attention, so I dropped by on my way to the course. A little after 0700, the traffic was manic already, but I was suitable dressed to avoid any unwanted attention... Wink With clipboard in hand and a few "inspections", I revealed the cache and extracted it for business. Back to the car for log extraction and addition of name, I reassembled everything once done and dropped it back in place.

All done and very pleased to have this one ticked off, I shot through for a cuppa before starting my day of edumacation... Big Grin

Cheers FastEd 59.

Sneaky hide this one tftc

21-Nov-15
Tftc. Very clever. And tricky.

09-Nov-15
Your better half told me about this one last night as I was going to be in the area. I soon had the correct numbers.
At gz however I tried all the normal things without luck. Lots of traffic so I left the area and read some logs. I even messaged B to show my frustration. Before she could answer I had my fingers on it. Yay. TFTC

27-Oct-15
This was my second time around here. I did like the first time and got my hands and arms all dirty and still couldn't find the container. But this time I moved to just the right angle and then I spotted the darn thing. I probably ran my hands over it several times and did not even realize I was touching the cache. FP from me. TFTC FastEd!

09-Oct-15
Neglecting the number of times I've previously visited GZ on and off over the last year (without success!!), this visit was very quick. I literally laid my hands on the cache within seconds after re-reading previous logs and something twigged. The hide is so deceptively simple!! Definitely a fav point. TFTC FastEd 59

04-Oct-15
Driving past today, so had a check. Happy to say cache is still tucked away in it's hidey "hole".

There is a lot more bark than when placed. Push it back and cache should be spotted.

Happy hunting.

01-Oct-15
I moved mulch around but couldn't spot the cache. Maybe it is mixed with the mulch now.

14-Aug-15
Went for a visit this morning and yes there is a lot of new mulch. Pulled some back and the cache is still in place.

How's that for a spoiler Wink

09-Aug-15
I had solved this one a while ago and thought I could find it today as part of a certain challenge. However, we looked and looked and looked to no avail. The area has had a new lot of mulched tan bark dropped around, not sure that that has anything to do with it!! As Arnie said "I'll be back."

29-Jul-15
We were bringing a friend up to Prince Charles Hospital for an appointment and tests today so I was happy to be chauffeur with so many caches in the area we hadn't found!!

Geo Wife was happy to stay with our friend and she was also happy for me to head off alone and see how many I could get in the time.

I know there are SO many caches around the area but I wanted to concentrate on getting a "V" cacher for the "ABC Challenge" and then see how many puzzles I could grab!!

There are so many caches I had solved so long ago it was good to be able to convert some of them to smilies!

I had time for one last one so this had to be it!!

I was able to park very close to GZ and walked over to check it out, no one was in the vicinity so I was free to search.

It took me a few minutes but I soon clicked to the hint and after checking around a bit my hand touched my prize!!!

Thanks FastEd TFTC SL

Konie joined us for a short trip to Brisbane, to pick up some targeted caches.

Took us some time to locate this one - a very difficult hide for the location.
Many thanks for placing this cache, FastEd 59, for us and others to find.

11-Jul-15
Out and about with The Drovers to grab a few caches on the North side of Brisbane today.

We'd stopped off at this one earlier but were thwarted by a couple of religous people sitting in chairs near GZ. So after grabbing a few other caches in the area we returned and they were gone.

Once at GZ the search was on and it took a great effort before the clever little hide was uncovered and the cache retrieved. I'm seeing more of these hides lately so you think I'd learn.Red Face

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

No joy today for Ghostgums and I. We we in the right spot, but likely focussed on the wrong type of hide. We'll be back another time to crack this nut... [^]

No luck today.

Doh, found the Hint item, but too many people around for a proper search.

Next time.......

Being Pi day thought I'd grab this one today. But no luck. Went for a quick look but 2 guys sitting on the footpath with their finding Jesus pamphlets didn't help with my finding cache efforts. I'll see if I can get another one today else I'll be back later.

I solved this one all by myself a while ago, maths for dummies is my kind of maths. Smile I'm sure with each pregnancy my maths skills have diminished.
I may not have found the cache without help though, very clever hide.

04-Nov-14
Well I am definitely a dummy when it comes to knowledge of Sir Newton, so thank goodness for Wikipedia. I know this location reasonably well and found the landmark I was looking for quickly... But I had to go round and round the mulberry bush several times before finding a well placed micro in good condition. Thanks for the puzzle FastEd, we're inching closer toward our 50th puzzle !

25-Oct-14
How fortunate for us that this was a puzzle for dummies, since a certain other puzzle had sucked the brain power (and the life Razz) right out of us this week. We like learning new things and the new style dates was something we'd never heard of before. Look at that, must have had space in our brains for some new information after all [:O)] We loved the clever hide at gz and the geogirls soon had the container retrieved and the log signed. Tftc FastEd 59 Big Grin

Out for the night with Angela, BarbBowman, FastEd59 and Bubba89.

Had solved this one a few weeks ago in preparation for tonight. And dummies were were as the others, who had already found it, or owned it, watched as we went all around it, despite the clue, despite being told "warmer", "colder" etc.

Eventually Kerry found it and put us all out of our misery!

TFTC, FastEd!

Decided to pick up some puzzles from the solved list today, ones close to the train. I solved the puzzle very quickly but I can't say I found the cache quite as easily. I should have though, I have been caching long enough to find this one quickly but alas I didn't. Searched around for a while, the rain then came down so I sheltered near a sign advertising products for high blood pressure. Yeah..... Then the rain subsided and I went back to GZ and decided to apply occam's razor and facepalmed, yes there is the cache! Very happy to sign the log and be on my way.

I certainly had no chance of solving the original but this cache was doable.

I parked across the road and once at gz I let my fingers do the searching.

First cache of the day to get into the swing of things. No one in the carpark early this morning so parked next to GZ. Took a little while for the mojo to kick in but I soon had the cache to hand. Tftc

After solving the puzzle on Monday. Stopped at Gz (without coordinates) after work was a bit too late to look properly. So waited till I was back at work and ducked out while on my lunch break. Knowing what the clue referred to it took a few minutes looking around till I stumbled on the little treasure. Signed log and back to work for me Sad

Knowing I was coming to the area today I started looking for a solved puzzle in the area...unfortunately I did not have any..so after a quick search I found this little nugget!
Some quick calculations....some more calculations...some reworking of those calculations, rereading of the description, a few more calculations, and I was Einstein! oh wait...I was supposed to be Newton!
So on my way past later this morning I tried to look inconspicuous as I looked for the cache. The clue got me close fairly quickly, and with a little luck I soon had the little blighter in hand. Back to the car for a pen to sign, and then returned it with no one nearby.
A great hide...it makes me wonder how you found the spot to put it in the first place! Well done fasted59

We saw a muggle parked behind us, we had to drive away then come back. It was by a big tree with naughty spider and two ants. Thank you for the cache! And not thank you for the bugs!

Find #1111 at 17:20 with MissGeosie and MissSuzieQ. The puzzle was no challenge, at least...

On a day of clearing out solved puzzles, we drove up to this one only to find an occupied mugglemobile parked near GZ. Feeling uncomfortable searching under his gaze, we gave the area a once-over then drove on. In hindsight, he wouldn't have been able to see us at the cache, but we didn't know that then....

After claiming another find (previously aborted due to similar parked muggles) we swung by on our way home. Mugglemobile gone.. and in its place a taxi, also directly overlooking GZ. Surprised

Another halfhearted search and I was about to drive off when I noticed the taxi pulling away. OK, game on.

Twice more around the area and... ah, that relates to the hint.. how did I miss it before? No.. no cache here... oh, wait yes there is! [^] Gotcha, you sneaky little thing!

Signed, sealed, replaced and back home for us.

Thanks for the cache, fasted 59.

Some time back, I decided I was going to try avoiding Beams Rd for as long as possible, after a considerable number of excursions back and forth along it. Not long after, I solved this puzzle - d'oh!

I found myself in the area today and was soon enjoying a well-hidden cache in fine condition - you had me guessing for a while there though! TFTC Fasted!

Cache find #1141. The cache find for the day. Out with the Co's and collecting some smiley faces for found caches around the area. We have solved this puzzle some months ago, and today was the day to find the cache. With the co standing by, the Pressure was on to locate the cache, which we found quickly. Nice clever hide. Having solved the original one, I was dissapointed not to actually find it. This one has been on the solved pile for a long time too and after an event I mentioned it to which came ... oh, we will watch you try to find it!!! Surprised

So arrived at GZ and armed with the clue, I searched a particular area......hmmmm, then going back to my original spot and found the clever hide!!

Thanks fasted 59, enjoyable puzzle and hide!!
