Out for a bit of an explore from TSV today with OutbackAx. A nice quick find at a lovely beach. Looks like a popular place and one I reckon I’ll be back to spend time at in future.

I’d been wanting to tick Alva beach off for a while so decided while in Ayr to go fir the quick drive out.
Found the newly replaced container, cute, I just hope it survives. TFTC

Replaced on the 5th May 2021 hopefully in the right place.

after our check-in at alva beach park, we went to the dunes to say hello to the ocean.
i was happy that a cache was to find here. no muggles around.

On our trip from Brisbane to Cairns we made a 4 days stop in Alva Beach for diving on the SS Yongala. During my day off I made a short walk with my baby from the Caravan Park to this lookout. I had to wait a while until some muggles on their quads disappeared and then I could grab the container.

We have 2 months for holiday in Australia. My aim is to find every day a Cache. This is our 52nd day and my 53rd logged Cache.

Back in Germany, we now log all our fieldnotes. We had a fantastic time Down Under and we will definitly come back. As we can not make a special log for avery one, we use this specimen one. Thx to all the COs that made our visit more interesting. We really enjoyed the caching in Australia. G'day, .... and no worries, we will come back.

Away for work and had a decision to make, spend the evening on the pc, or go out Ad do some local treasure hunting? Hmmmm. It’s been 15 years since I was last here as a backpacker on my initial arrival to Aus, so some fond memories of the area and good times spend. A large variety of hides today, mainly drivebys and short walks but a pleasant way to see the sites and get some fresh air. Thanks to all the CO’s for all their effort. Thanks for the fun.

Fairly easy but fun to go around Alva beach!

That cache was rad sauce. While walking over two straight up doggos approached us for some scrotches and snoot boops. Much magic.

RDO Hunt. Took us two tries due to there being too many muggles. So had a lovely beach lunch while we waited. Clever hide in a popular location. Might need a new log. Please bring some mozzie spray due to locals chewing on us.

I am in Australia for 2 weeks, starting with the Mega-event in Alexandra, Victoria.

After an AMAZING 3-day liveaboard-divetrip in The Great Barrier Reef, my plan is to drive from Cairns to Brisbane. I found a car online that needs to be relocated, so I have a free car for 6 days, that's perfect for geocaching

Today I drove from Mission Beach to Alva beach (near Ayr), so I can go diving on the Yongala Wreck tomorrow. I was hoping to find some more geocaches in Townsville, but I spent too much time searching for caches along the way, so I ran out of time. I only got to find one cache at the beach and hurry on, but at least I got the chance to see how beautiful that town is.

About this cache:
After I checked in at Yongala Dive, I had time for a little stroll on the beach before it got dark. What a quiet little beautiful town and beach. The cache was easily found. Tftc, greetings from Norway

After attempting this last weekend but too many muggles around, decided to drop in after work during the week to log this one. TFTC!

Was revisiting this small coastal community that was my home for 7 years, including the year 1988 when Cyclone Aivu almost destroyed my home. Alva beach is a great spot for a walk along the beach, This afternoon I had the chance to take my family to visit here while we are staying in Ayr for a work trip. I had to explain to one of my children what each of the parts of the weather station did while StephLego made the find and discovered that it contained a swap that was a little inappropriate for the little ones, the swap was removed and the cache returned before setting off for the beach
