I am on foot this arvo and walked to this one. I couldnt see anything. Turns out I was looking a little way off GZ.There has been recent drainage works nearby. Thanks to Freddo for placing this cache for the community to enjoy.
Solved this morning and walked over from my hotel room but no luck. Poked through the log, looked beside the log. Nothing
In Adelaide to attend The Great Leap Forward and cache for a couple of weeks, my first trip down here. Caching with RoddyC, Hatzofff, Snickersallan, Patrol14, grannysmith1947 and signing logs as 6 for QLD. I'm enjoying my trip down here. TFTC
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future

Another impossible background to look at, adjusting the browser to be skinny, whoa what a relief. One of many quests on the go, with the 366 day puzzle calendar drawing to a close. I have waited a long time for today, being the second to last free space on the 366 slots. I went out to the airport super early looking for another, but it wouldn't budge. I did try righty tighty lefty loosy, I even gave wooly pully a go just in case. Nuffin. Meh.After a quick supermarket shop, it was onto this one for a second bite at the cherry. Of course, I started at the wrong end, clearly I need more practice. Quickly found once at the right end. Fresh new container and a nice clean log book. Thanks for the great puzzle and cache Freddo. Just one day in the calendar to go. Find #9151 at 8am.
Adelaide and train trip Day 13. Blackwood day 5. After returning from my epic Ghan trip from Darwin I had a few days around Adelaide before heading home. I went into the South Parklands area to get out and see what I could find. There were some that were out of reach with the tools I had, but I managed to find many of the caches I looked for. I even made it a little further than I expected. They day ended with a trip to the Northern suburbs to try for a cache that was recently replaced. It was a reward day for dinner, so I retired to Mitcham for a favorite pizza. With the puzzle solved before arriving in Adelaide, I was able to head to GZ and poke around until I found this one. Thanks for the cache Freddo44732.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2015 Anvil Angus Tag A#344**Albida**

Pretty sure I was in the right location, it may just have been a case of cache blindness(I suffer badly from that), but I couldn’t find this one today.
Was in the city for an appointment and decided to go on a little stroll for some nearby caches.
After being unable to find another nearby cache due to high muggle activity, I made the short walk to this one.
I took a gander at the puzzle yesterday and tried all possible ways of solving. I was so lost.
Eventually something clicked. Very good Freddo. Good puzzle.
Found it sticking out so it was visible from a few metres away.
Put my signature in the log book and returned the cache, further out of sight then the way I found it.
Favourite point for the puzzle.
Thanks to Freddo for this cache.

Had looked at this one many times over the past couple of years but got nowhere. For a D2 puzzle, what was I overthinking???
Happened to open it again last Friday, did a bit more research and had a bit of a light-bulb moment. Applied some different principles and then noticed something. Coordinates followed quite quickly after that. Into the TBF queue.
This morning on the way to work I decided to make a small detour and make the find. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ, passing a sleeping muggle on the way. Reached GZ and located the cache in the first place I looked. Gotta love that. Stamped the log and replaced. Finally now have the smiley.

Act 1: A dragon enters from stage left and walks past a fireplace, which is adorned by a weirdly twisted Freddo puzzle (is that an oxymoron?). He looks at it a couple of times but can make neither head nor tail of it, so he puts it back down and departs for colder climes.
Act 2: The dragon visits Chekhov's neighbourhood on a work trip, many years later. Then he goes home.
The End. Wait, what? We have to address the unresolved dramatic tension from Act 1? Are you sure? (checks Wikipedia). Okay you seem to have a point.
Act 3: Dragon eventually looks at the puzzle again, solves it, says "D'Oh!", and goes and finds the cache. Early in the morning.
Really The End.
(Or is it?)

This puzzle was one that I had looked at for ages and like some geocachers, tried to reverse engineer the coordinates, but didn't have any luck. Some more analysis of the code and still nothing.
Was familiar with the concept of this puzzle, but just couldn't connect it to this solution - figured it may have something to do with the cache location instead. Had to reach out to the CO for a nudge, and once I had that, it all came together very quickly. After the head slap moment, realised what a clever puzzle it was.
Dropped off to thus cache today to quickly find the cache and sign the log. Hiding spot was pretty cool also. Thanks Freddo, FP for this one!

After a nice morning walk, a short bike ride was on the cards in the afternoon. This time, we also aimed for puzzles we solved earlier, and this one happened to be along the route. The solution gave us some grief as we initially tried to reverse engineer the coordinates, and in the process we got fooled by a coincidence. After abandoning the approach and staring furiously at the cache description, we finally found the right way to solve it. At GZ, we easily came up with the container, which is still in tip-top shape. So I am in Adelaide for 3 hours of work in the evening and have a early flight so a day of caching with brisal5 planned. Thank you to all of the owners for their creative hides.
Mogni was in town for one of her 'flying' visits. That means some caching time before she was required for a few hours 'work' before some more caching. The GOTHs needed some maintainance down Semaphore way so I spent the past few days solving a few puzzles down that way. After picking up mogni from the airport it was time to cache our way down to Semaphore. That done we cached our way into the Port for a great Lunch at a pub that mogni remembered from earlier days. After a few more finds down at the Port it was time to head to town so mogni could do some 'work'.
Ever cache with those annoying people that want to do just one more? I am that person. So despite mogni now wearing 'heels' for work I dragged her to this one on the way.
Thanks for yet another one Freddo.

I like the wikipedia entry for 'Chekhov's Gun':
*"Remove everything that has no relevance to the story. If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. If it's not going to be fired, it shouldn't be hanging there."*
Was it pure coincidence that GZ is at Adelaide's first rifle range? A plaque west of GZ marks this interesting piece in Adelaide's history.
Thanks for the hint on how to solve this one Dr Owl. I've never applied this technique before. Nice to have another solving method up the sleeve.

Day 53 of "consecutive days with finds". Found four caches in city on Australian Day, and all of them were Freddo's caches. This was the second one.
We solved lots of puzzle caches and multi caches, but haven't got a chance to search all of them. Therefore, we have some final cords marked on the map, but not entirely sure which cord belongs to which cache. We were trying to find "Rock, Paper, Scissors" (GCHC5J), and on our way, we found this cache too. It took us a while to match the final cords and the caches. This puzzle was interesting and ingeniously designed. I remember it took quite some time to spot the correct way to solve it.
Cache was easy to find. Signed the log book, and placed it back. Nice hint that only made sense at GZ.

I have lost track of how many times I have looked at this 2*D puzzle. The posted coordinates are quite close to one of my work locations.
It became clear very early that the "usual" methods were not going to work. Although one variant came close to giving sensible albeit wrong coordinates. It is sad to reflect on how often I went back to methods I had already tried unsuccessfully and which I knew would not work.
So each time it went back into the "later" pile. Again, and again, and again.
And then another puzzle appeared from another place. It looked familiar. And it was part of a set. And I wanted to finish the set.
So cue some serious thinking time. And after a sudden insight it all became clear. And puzzles were solved.
Evil, evil, evil!
And today during a brief lunchtime stroll (through an area I would prefer to avoid at night) l found a well camouflaged cache in the first spot that I looked. Love that
No guns were fired to solve or find this cache but there certainly was some dramatic imperative.

Having attempted this one before with the cache proving to be missing, this one has been on my hit list ever since. Today I found myself near the completely empty GZ at an appropriate time and after a short walk, the cache was in hand. This cache has been a source of incredible frustration, first I spent six months trying to solve with a completely false presumption about the puzzle, and then when I finally stopped overthinking the cache wasn't there! Very glad to have this one off the list. TFTC Freddo!
Owl tried lots of different things to do with numbers and letters, then someone told her the 'in'. It's obvious - when you know! Today after the Flash Mob, Owl gathered the queen (Izwalk) and her royal princesses (Ismartis, Gral4 & JJ52) and they processed to the newly replaced cache for a quick find. (Also obvious when you have the right coordinates!)
Finally extracted some reasonable coordinates for this one (after many failed attempts). Arrived at my calculated GZ to find the telltale Freddo object but no cache. Expanded the search and found a container, then shortly after a matching lid. But no log book or cache like contents. Placed found container where I think a cache should go, assuming I have solved the puzzle correctly.
Had worked on this one at a recent puzzle solving event, so tonight after work I headed out to grab it with a few other solved puzzles. My counting skills must have been lacking when I worked out the co-ordinates as I could not find a cache anywhere at my calculated GZ...bummer.
So back to the car to have another look at the puzzle...OK so a bit of re-counting and another set of co-ordinates. Back I walked and got to my newly calculated GZ and there was the cache lying on the ground. Signed the log and replaced the cache where it should have been.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Freddo.

A quick find because the container was out on the ground. Perhaps a native resident had evicted it. SL and returned it to its rightful spot. Interesting that now, the last 3 finders live about 12km from each other, about 1200km away.

I am a big fan of Breaking Bad which uses this device extensively. Had an ah-ha moment a few weeks back and sorted out the puzzle. As preparation for our trip to South Australia we attempted a number of puzzles - this was one of them. With minimal information, it took us a while before a strategy emerged. Today we decided to focus on the parklands to the south and south-east of the city and had the opportunity to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and its contents were in good condition. This evening when we came to log this find we looked back at the puzzle and wondered how we actually solved it - we will have to go back to our notes when we get home. Thanks for an interesting puzzle Freddo and thanks for the cache.
This was one of the first puzzles I solved but only today did I get a chance to make the find. Tftc.
After the May the Fourth be with you flashmob event, I was supposed to head down to Morphett Vale to meet family however muggle partner changed the plans... so that gave me time to wander the city and do the locus cache on some caches: I finally left the city for home at 7.30pm after a midday event
Set the stage and start the play with a gun upon the wall.
Then make sure, by curtain fall, that bullets have been fired because such is Chekhov's gun

I needed a little shove from the CO to be able to solve this puzzle.
I was intending finding another cache today but fixing two flats meant I had to shorten my cycle to work.
Thanks for the cache Damn Freddo.

With a bit (lot) of help found this one while the drums were musically sounding in the distance. TB s liked their visit. TNLN thanks for the adventure.

Final GZ was blissfully quiet early on a Saturday morning. Thanks Freddo for the hide!!
Like Mr Tardis do not over think puzzles, had a push in the right direction more like rammed down the muzzle and fired in the right direction before the penny dropped, last one for the day and the fourth freddo cache around the city today TFTC freddo
Heading to the Doctors to see if my knee joints were bare or had enough fruit still in them, so thought I'd stop here as I has a few minutes up my sleeve
Made it to GZ and then the heavens opened up again and the rain teemed down (the 3rd time I'd got dumped on today). However, I needed to sign the log and then bolt for it (something I wont be able to do for a while after seeing the Doctor). Got quite wet and even considered going for a wade, but I thought that would completely soak my clothes

Cheers

Mr Tardis looked and looked at this puzzle and had no idea. Two nights ago I had another look at it and I finally worked it out.

As a note of trivia, many years ago Mr Tardis was approached near GZ and a muggle was interested in showing me his gun, I quickly declined and left. At GZ today fortunately Mr Checkhov wasn't around to show me his gun, but I did find a cache.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Damn Freddo.

Damn Freddo. Hurty eyes with his puzzlesies.
Grabbed this one during an early morning-beat the heat run in the area. Love your work.

Gotcha!
Enjoyed a pleasant stroll through the area today...
Stroll... Seriously! Who uses that word except Real Estate agents???
"Just a 5 minute stroll to the beach!"
But I digress....
Thanks Freddo!
ZZzz..
Oh.. And by the way... BANG!!
At last a Freddo puzzle that made sense to us straight away. I guess now another one will come along and taunt us for weeks. Thanks for the nice walk, puzzle and cache Freddo.
Find No. 1 for 2013
I managed to get the puzzle wrong but was still in the general area. A call to Freddo confirmed that I was about the mark, but I still couldn't find the cache. Widened my search a little and found it. Checked my working out and found another mistake in my workings.
Hope all caches aren't this hard in 2013.

Find 1697
Found with a little help from the GPS.
There appears to be a little BFE logic in the puzzle.
The GZ is one of those places you only go to if you have to (To find a geocache)
Thanks to Damn Freddo (Righteous Ruler) for the cache.

I went down a path of looking for something that seemed superflous but might be used later. That's when the humble snowmobile caught my eye. It sure doesn't get much use in these warmer climes but is a popular non choice. However of more relevance was not recommended at night. The place didn't seem too salurious at 5pm! On the way to GZ I contemplated a water jump, but not today for this duck.

Arrrrrggggghhhhh!
I accepted a hint from the frog for that!
- - - Retires to quiet cave and proceeds to gnaw own leg off, while writing 'DON'T OVERTHINK THE EASY ONES' 100 times - - -
Retrieval was a positive joy however, nice place to spend a warm spring afternoon - pity I have to go back to work.
TFTC Damn Freddo!

Found It!
And you think my binary puzzle is hard... It's only taken me 2 MONTHS to work this one out!!!
Not to mention that background that nearly kills my computer every time I load the page up...

Solved with a friend last night, after some thinking it all came together. Thanks for the nice little puzzle and cache. Found at about 8pm in the second spot we looked.
