Parked at the suggested spot and walked towards GZ. It was a bit overgrown closer in but I used the rock wall as a "path".Found the cache 11m from where the phone was indicating GZ was. I looked where I hoped it would be rather than where the arrow was pointing. The logbook was wet and mouldy so I just managed to sign as SS.A nice spot, no platypus.TFTC
Log was very wet but we still managed to sign it. Sadly there was a dead dog down there.
Found on a daytrip from Canberra to Robertson with sebass19. Attention to all future visitors to the Southern Highlands: bring Aerogard or Deet to avoid ticks! I had 2 latch onto me today, thankfully I had special tick tweezers. I was surprised to find them in this part of the world!.What an awesome historical location! Was a bit spooky to walk through. Would never have stopped here had it not been for geocaching! It took a bit of time to find, I found my coords to be out. Regardless, great cache! Very peaceful location albeit it appears that a fire has gone through recently, perhaps backburning? TNLNSL. TFTC NationalSteel!
What a fun one for geo hubby to find, but be aware of the car passing by very fast. Stay safe and thank you so much for letting us discover a lovely spot.
Having a short break in tge Southern Highlands. Off to Robertson today, collecting some caches on the way.
Attempted a few different approaches to GZ, Along the Creek via tree trunk Too many brambles then water. Via tunnel didn't have my wellies! Ended up climbing down rocks adjacent to creek, which was pretty easy and dry and free of brambles!
Nice little spot
Thanks for maintaining the cache

For some reason, GPS took me on this scenic route back from Robertson to Sydney. Great opportunity to visit these caches that I'd never get to otherwise. Really poor mobile signal so could read the listing ... wandered all over the place but notice some 'classic hiding terrain'.
Excellent location and hide worthy of an FP.

Taking a tourist drive today.
An unexpected location, such a sweet tunnel.
No platypus spotted by us today, but I agree, there should be one here !

Drive to Robertson with geofriend around to country ad find few caches before start rain .. we are good laugh/joke.... We stay overnight at motel.... thanks
On a farmstay with the geodog Zelda in Robertson. Found a parking spot only 30m away. Once we crossed the hidden tunnel, we made our way to GZ. I spotted the camo while geodog explored the tunnel. What a beautiful secret place. TFTC
#7237. My last day of the Australia trip. Been having a good time touring around caches in Sydney, Canberra and now over here near Wollongong after visiting the Mega event. Today was the least structured day of the trip. I need to be back in Sydney by 4pm at the latest for my flight home and so haven't really planned any target caches. Just picking up a few that seem interesting as I head inland and back along the highway north to airport.
Decided to turn the car around and not go to Robertson. Instead I would follow the Tourist Road route (being a tourist). Nice forest on this road and not too busy today. Parked off the road up at the open area and wandered back to this one. Was a bit worried about snakes in this type of area as one of the very few I have seen in Oz was in dense vegetation near a creek. Hoped being a cool July day all would be OK. Noticed something a bit different and after a scramble had the cache in hand. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks National Steel for hiding it here. Had a lunch break here enjoying the sounds of the native birds. Favourite for the memories.

Staying at Bong Bong Picnic Race Club in our caravan. So out today to find a couple of GCA trig caches and traditional GC caches.
Successful day. All targets found. No DNFs.
Thanks to all cache owners.

OCW marj01. Todays plan was to visit the Moss Vale area and complete the Yarrawa Road Trail and the Forgotten Australian series, then grab any other caches we could on the return journey back to Sydney. This slippery little sucker was found without much effort. Thanks for placing this cache.

Off to visit my brother in Canberra for the weekend, which was also a perfect excuse to drop in on some friends at Moss Vale. Took the back roads to Robertson and tracked down the Rainbow Road series on the way. This was a nice detour. The kids enjoyed playing in the tunnel after making the find.

So sad to DNF this one. Spent around 40 minuets looking for this one. Up down one side of the tunnel, other side still no cache.

Parked safely and found quickly. Bit wet in the afternoon here. Signed and replaced. Tftc
Recovering from the flu and with a few days off it was time to cache given i had done so little of it in recent weeks. Decided to head north to the southern highlands and cache some new areas - kangaloon, mount murray, macquarie pass and back towards moss vale.
Some awesome caches and handed out some favourite points as well. Thanks to all the COs today.
My favourite cache so far today. Lovely spot.

Nice little spot to stop and sit on the fallen tree and listen to the birds songs. Good hide and spot!
Fairly quick find with pinkih we were losing light fast and it was our last one of the day. Helped by thinking logical TFTC
Beautiful babbling brook . Love the sound of running water. No platypus today. Log damp and almost full. Cache in good condition. Thankyou for the cache
This was the third time here. First two occasions were following heavy rains, so we got to see just how much of a pond there can be here. This time, however, was dry enough to make a safe search. Signing duties done and we were on our way again.
Started off on the wrong side, but instinct led me to the cache. Thank you for the hide National Steel.

Found -- 1:20pm -- SL TNLN TFTC. Cache in good condition, log a little damp but ok.
I have been here twice since February. With all the hiding spots around here, it's daunting to know where to look, especially when my GPS keeps telling me it's 3 metres to the right of GZ and then jumps around like a yoyo. I really ought to have listened to my instincts, but no, I have to have to make things harder than they need to be - typical of me. Love this stretch of road, it's so nice.
February 2016
Second time here, the first was mainly to see the amazing tunnel, and I forgot all about the cache. This occasion was purposely for the cache. Today was just not my day, everywhere I went I was getting spiked by sticks, ripping my pants on one, running into spider webs and tripping over. I ran into a spider web at another cache, jumped back, lost my footing and fell backwards onto a log. Slipped down the embankment here, without warning. Had to be very careful climbing up and down the rock face. Thinking I ought to have just stayed home Not having any Vodaf mobile network data here is a real pain, might have to load up my other Aldi phone and give it a whirl, it usually picks up where the other fails. Hoping I will find it next visit.

I found this cache as a joint part of “Team” Throsbyonchurch and in which name the log book was signed. I now have my own account as I’m old enough to cache myself, so I am claiming a fair share of my earlier finds. As I had no caching name at the time there's no log in the book for me but I’m claiming the find under team ToC. Thank you for the hide.
Dnf today. Think we found GZ but a bit too tricky to get to it with the geokid. Will return!
Finalf29 and I were having a great time yesterday doing the "Rainbow road" series when due to a electronic malfunction couldn't finish "Rainbow Road" #9 and #10. All good today, but grabbed only four.
Stopped here when we realised we missed this one yesterday. You are right on both accounts...it is a very beautiful place and the cars DO zoom past very fast! Finalf29 disappeared down one side and the next thing I heard was a echoing "Hellllllooooo". This distracted us for a while...what a wonderful construction. Finally got out and remembered why we were there, with cache soon in hand. Thanks

Happy Uke and I were out and about today again.
I was kinda keen to see a platypus but didn't. I only ever seen one in the wild and that was at Berrima years ago.
Great looking bridge! I was amaized by the tunnel.
Thanks!

Loved the climb down here, but not the hooning cars along this stretch of road at night. Must think they're on the Rainbow Road or something... TFTC!
Caching with only IPhones today & neither had any reception here. So we knew there was a cache somewhere in the vicinity & decided to test our geo senses.... Yep they were finely tunes today & cih after a brief search. Great spot here, although no platypus spotted today . Tftc NationalSteel xo
I have a major head cold and can hardly smell a thing - but boy oh boy this spot was stinky. That and the dead red-bellied black snake were quite off-putting, I was glad to find the cache, do the duties and move on. If attempting this in the hot weather I would suggest vicks for your nostrils! Nevertheless a very interesting spot - lovely stonework. TFTC
I parked up from GZ and walked down on the opposite side of the road.i found a nice little creek so I thought I would jump down an have a look an hopefully see a platypus,no platypus but a cool old sandstone made flow tunnel.stuck my head in an thought very cool but gee it stinks here and flies all through the tunnel.
I left here and walked to find a cache,I crossed the road and heard a what I thought sounded like a large water dragon or monitor lizard taking off down stream.anyway I climbed down on OMG the smell!!!!There was something large and dead on the rocks, the strangest thing I have ever seen!!!!!it seriously look half carp, half wombat????(what the??)The guts, the smell, the flies.....it was pretty full on.lifted my shirt half over my face held my nose.signed the log an quickly got outta there.
Its a cache I wont forget so it gets a fav point.

Find #5 of 24 caches found for the day
I missed the best parking spot but found another that was close to the cache and made my way down the wrong side as I usually do so a quick back track and a check of the description I was back on track and had that little box of goodies in hand to extract the log and provide the necessary inforamtion to the record containd with in the box.
Sorry for the late logging I needed to finish a House renovation and had a few computer and internet problems now back on the road I have the time to log again.
Thanks National Steel for this little break in the drive.
The total count for the day was 24 consisting 20 Traditional 4 Multi
Grand Cache count = 16 total consisting of 15 Traditionals and 1 Multi

Day heating up, getting hungry, tired and frustrated at lack of phone/internet reception (meaning I couldn’t finish the last step of the Rainbow Road series in one go today) and having to double back along Tourist Road to detour road closures, was in two minds about the extra effort to get this one today. Also bit confused by directions referring to “suggested parking as WP1” when there were no additional co-ords provided (at least none I could double check due to no internet coverage) and previous logs/photos had me thinking it was further inland (probably why I avoided doing it a few years ago as I passed at night). Anyway, parked in the only obvious spot about 130m from the listed co-ords and headed initially towards the wrong side of the creek gaining several scratches but soon spotted another likely hidey hole with more suspect camo. Reassessed another approach and luckily managed to keep my foothold as the cache slipped further inside its little cave. Retrieved, signed and returned as cars whizzed by barely a metre from my head. Probably best I hadn’t attempted it at night last time.
Admired it - very interesting to see the sandstone tunnel so beautiful, Pity I didn't see any platypus!!!. Thanks NationalSteel.
Looks like a big tree has fallen on it. Was not too keen to look too much in the long snaky grass.
What a great location and a stunning old bridge! Easy find. Though I was on the wrong side when I spotted it.
What a great little spot. Loved the old sandstone bridge.

Well, it was time for another specimenX and Rapidlywild adventure, definately overdue and looking forward to a good weekend We had cleaned up some "straggler" caches we had along the highway and made our way to the hotel and checked in. We lasted about 15 minutes at the hotel and we were back on the road. Its caching time
We had decided to hit this Mario series as we had spoken to the CO at an event in Canberra a few months back and he advised us of this new series. We just had to come out and grab it, and we are VERY glad we did
This one was in between some of the Mario series, so it would have rude to just drive past so off the road with the car, and over to make the find. specimenX was being her monkey self and made her way towards the GZ as I did a quick battery change on the GPS. By the time I got to her, she was about to go swimming with the Platypus's
specimenX made short work of the find, whilst enjoying the cave views nearby. Love caching at night as the muggle factor is not as much as an issue. specimenX managed to get herself to the cache without fighting blackberries and came away with no new scratches or cuts always a bonus !!!
Logging duties completed and we were on the way towards our next cache.
Thanks for the cool cache NationalSteel

The weekend had arrived! So this meant another geomission with Rapidlywild gallivanting around the Southern Highlands again Certainly was a weekend of quality caching!
We stopped off at this one as we were making our way through the nearby Mario series.RW decided to do a battery change whilst I was off to find the cache. Hmmm..which way down? Left or right? I chose the left which was MUCH better than bush bashing through blackberry bushes and razor sharp pandanus leaves like others seem to have done before me judging by the geotrails.
Once at GZ I checked out the cool "civil engineering" but RW is dreaming I feel [:O)]-I was not just about to go swimming with the Platypus-I monkeyed on up to find the cache
So then with logging duties complete, I monkeyed on up back to the car
Thanks for bringing us to this lovely little spot, NationalSteel

After getting cuts from blackberry bushes, we finally found it geo kids loved the stone cave
Such a cute place. Agreed would be a great home for a platypus. Found while out with GeoHubby on 2/5/14.
Out caching with the Bushies so that I could get some driving time up on my L'S. Sent another Holmer in for the hunt.
