This was our 1st cache find in the caching run & we found it at 09:35
So this now makes our total find count 6148.
[blue]
Time is running out. We leave Tasmania in a few days, and there's still heaps of caches to find.
It's just a coincidence that our caching is taking us closer and closer to the ferry terminal.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Average (Around 5 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks Spreyton22 for the hunt today.

Our trip around Tassie saw us in and around the beautiful area of central north Tassie. On a nice day we started early after staying at the free campsite in Burnie.
A quick scratch around had the cache in hand. It's holiday season and plenty of muggles about, we were patient though.

We had to wait a few hours before we were able to embark to The Spirit of Tasmania for our return trip to Melbourne. We had visited Tasmania for 9 days and had a good time there. So, I had some time left and I prefer geocaching to waiting, so I went for this one. Thanks to the hint I found it really quickly. After that I was in a rush to get at the ferry in time. Thank you for the nice cache.

Thanks Spreyton22 for reinstating this cache. It was our second visit today and a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Luckily no muggles nearby. TFTC
Our second attempt at this one after an aborted attempt once before due to a muggle picnic. We decided to use the facilities today for lunch. Thankyou for organising the cache.
What a sad Christmas event!
My "busiest" cache is MIA - it has been found every 4.4 days since 10 August 2012.
I'll fix this straight after Christmas.
Cheers

Mr and Mrs Seek3rs are over in Tasmania on holidaying from SA ... just off the Spirit of Tasmania.
Could have been a long hunt, but fortunately Mrs Seek3rs found it, but Mr Seek3rs claimed the find ... which then got technical about who really found it!
Added Seek3rs sticker and date to the log.

Nice easy find with no muggles to worry about. Gpsr was reading zero m at one stage...so don't come any closer than that. Lovely bbq spot overlooking the boats...great to see some new development along the river. Many thanks for a top cache Spreyton22...Cheers.
A nice easy find and I love the way they have set up this area. Thanks for the cache
Had to come back later in afternoon because of people in cars with nothing else to do but watch us!! When we did get back and it was muggle free Mr Cartrev found it in a place I said I had looked!!!!!Oh dear!Very up market little BBQ! T4TC
Found on a early morning run and then found again with a scouting daughter who was returning from a navigation camp. Both of us were pleased to find the cache using maps alone and we were both very pleased to enjoy the location. This is a lovely place that deserves to have a cache. Thanks Spreyton22.
Out and about again on the hunt for some hidden beauties! My son found this in pretty quickly...he's getting good at it now. logged our visit. Great ocation now its upgraded. Love it.
Many thanks to Spreyton22,
This was our 3 of 23 for todays cache hunt, Find number 1491 at 9:29:00 AM.
We are here in Tassy, hunting down your caches. This is our first time here and the weather here is fantastic, just a tad chilly. Please keep an eye out for us and come and say hi, we won't bite.
After a thorough search of the GZ area, we really should have trusted our GPS, but with most of the caches since we been here being at least 8m out, we just looked where we would have hidden a cache, so it took longer than it should have.
A nice little spot, saw a boat for sale that we would like to take home .

TFTC! Sometimes I need to just trust my caching instinct. My first instinct was right but in looking I couldn't see it for the first 3 times. Good hide as great area!
I've added a new log sheet.
In the gallery is the old sheet, just for reference.

We paid a visit today @ 11.00am and replaced the cache in it's original location.
The 4m is a reasonable location accuracy for domestic GPS equipment.

The third find for the day was very interesting. You drive up and check the hint, yes it should be on the structure, should be a quick find. Wait, some walkers are approaching I had better wait until they pass, but the stop and do a quick search then strangely replace something in another spot. MMMMM lets see what is happening. The spreyton22s were replacing the cache in the correct spot after the previous finders had moved it. Nice to meet you and yes it was a very quick and easy find.
Found it on my second visit
Someone moved it about 4m from where
GPS put it. Signed log and put it back on GZ

Found this cache during a road trip with Old Saint to find the Octogon Series in Port Sorell. We successfully found all 14 Octogon caches and another 14 or so as a bonus. It was a great and long day from Hobart, leaving at 7am and returning at 10pm.
Well when we arrived at the GZ there were muggles and Old saint said, watch this - I will get the cache without them seeing me. Well, they almost rang the cops for him stalking him. In the end he had to explain what he was doing to the family of 5. I just stood at the car laughing until I thought he needed some support.
I can't wait for Oldsaints log.................

Hi Spreyton22
An early morning start this morning (0500hrs) leaving home at 0600hrs in order to meet Budgietas in Hobart to travel to Devonport to try and complete the Octogon series by 2y's tassies Octogon Series.
Left Hobart around 0700hrs and found a couple of caches on the way before starting the series.
The weather gods were very kind to us today; sunny, warm and fine.
It was great to drop in and eventually meet you and your wife in person. Today has been a day of highlights and our visit with you was one of them.
Now to the cache:
Let's get the right interpretation on the Budgie's chirpings. Yes, we arrived at GZ only to find a family of five (waiting to catch the SOT; for a holiday in SA) right where we needed to search. Budge said "I can see the cache from here!" Not quite so, but I thought he was right. I said "I can get that without them seeing!" WRONG!! It wasn't the cache anyway, but part of the picnic table. Looked for a little while and the father of the family came and moved the kids drink bottles for me to continue my search. With their eyes glued to me and Budge almost falling out of the car with laughter, I approached the family and told them what I was doing; that after I heard the oldest child ask "What's that (silly) man doing Daddy?" Her Dad's answer was funny but luckily I can't remeber his answer. (Memory of convenience!) Various forms of banter went back and forwards; most at my expense!
Anyway, they had heard of caching and were content to watch us make the find. The cache was extracted, the log signed and the cache returned to its hide at 1715hrs.
Farewells were said and they were wished a happy holiday.
Now that's the truth; if that's what you want to believe BUT THEN AGAIN; there is Budgies perspective too!
Great hide, great spot but NO FISH!! Couldn't even see the ship ARGOSY. Now there's a quandry!!!
We achieved the objective of the day and I ended up with twenty-nine finds for the day, MY HIGHEST NUMBER OF FINDS IN A DAY.
Finally arrived back in Huonville at 2330hrs.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

I pulled in here about three or was it four times before we managed to hunt down the cache. Finnally did it after meeting up with some friends whoo just gotten off the SOT. Love the simple hide in a beautiful new area. Funny you can drive in both sides and park but there is no through access.

Omigosh, nearly forgot that we found this cache on Sunday!
Geoniece and I used the last of my phone battery to track down the cache while a family fished off the... I'm not sure what you call it... "bit-jutting-out-that's-not-big-enough-to-be-a-jetty-or-wharf", but they didn't pay too much attention to us.
I'm glad they've done something with this area - it's a nice little spot.

On a caching trip to Devonport to find Spreyton22 caches. Visited site twice before the area was free of muggles. Found with Tassie Trekkers.
Our last cache of the day, found with whitewebbs in the dark as previous visits earlier in the day had barbecueing and fishing muggles hogging GZ. Made a quick find thanks Spreyton22.
Found on a lovely morning on our way south for the weekend. An easy find with good coordinates. TFTC
This was spotted on the email. So a jaunt along the walkway from Horsehead Creek to East Dev was on the cards. Thought we might get a second FTF over the weekend...but NO, 3DG got there before us. TFTC Spreyton22, we are slowly getting through your caches.
Pass this spot several times a day and have never stopped to have a good look.
Found a really nice area which would be great to have a BBQ at.
Cache easily found....coords spot on.
Many thanks Spreyton22 for placing a cache here!
