Due to new owners of this camping ground I am archiving this cache, I will be introducing myself to them in a month or so and hopefully have this back up, but for now with respect I am archiving this cache.
We came and looked for this one while on our way to Fox Glacier today. It wasnt disabled at the time. The area looked like alot more searched than just the one DNF posted, so it looks like others have searched without posting their DNFs. Thanks anyway.
Maintenance is required on this cache as the owners of the holiday park are working int he area and have removed the cache. May go back after finished.
Hunted for some time up here in the dense grass and buttercups (not the permanent vegetation) but to no avail. We had two GPS units honing in on the same spot and plenty of hunting.
Found this Little One in the early Morning! Its a very damaged,Dirty and wet Container!!

Lovely lady at reception had heard about geocaching but not sure what it was all about, put us in the right direction of hill and said grass cutting had just been done. Co ordinates were spot on but unfortunately box had been got by grass cutter , log was very wet. Tried to dry out but not best drying day, put in fresh piece of paper and new plastic and green unused dog bag to try and keep it dry. Lovely view on clear day but bit misty today. Visiting family nearby whilst on hols from uk. TFTC
What a cool place for a cache & a great view today after the last few day's of no view. Thanks to the Holiday Park for allowing this, he had locked his office when we went back to thank him. TFTC
WelshGirl77, SquishyD, MischiefD and stayed at this campsite so access was not an issue. Got up early whilst most campers were asleep to locate this one and quickly found it. Unfortunately, the cloud cover spolt the view of the mountains. TFTC

After almost four weeks traveling on NZ we found this nice camping/cache. To be honest my wife found it:-)
Another find, this time whilst staying at the camp site with our Motorhome which we had shipped from the UK but will have it sell it before we leave at the end of March. See www.delibero.co.uk/delaware if you're interested in a bargain.
There was nobody at the reception to tell about our geocaching....but nevertheless we found it... lovely holiday park! thanks!
Thanks for the cache, which I found during my journey through amazing NZL. Kind regards.
My first cache nice place. Found it together with "timmeyyyy" and left 2 Travel Bugs in there! TFTC
Found it together with Ilo87! Just stayed here on the campground!

Hey, woof... JC Cache Dawg here...
I'm loading all my finds from my Alpha Males (aka GenCuster) logs, where he deigned to remember that I was with him... As if he could forget...10/01/13 19:10 Loved it - climbed on the table for a better view.

10/01/13 19:10 After seeking permission at the office, the cache was sought. JC Cache Dawg loved it - climbing on the table for a better view. The weather had broken a few minutes earlier so hills and a touch of snow could be seen. Cheers, GC.
I also changed the open plastic bag for a large ziplock (only size I had in the van) as log needs to be in sealed environment to stay dry(ish). It was damp. I also removed pen as it simply didn't work. And dried the wet container.

Found it. Will have to go back with pen as the one in box isn't working, book getting a bit damp too.
Staying here was a good idea. We just got the short break in the rain and managed to find the cache. But sorry, no views with all the clouds and rain around. Last cache for 2012, let us see how many we manage in 2013.
If you have to put a cache on a hill, this is the right height for us.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Day 16 of our NZ tour currently heading from Haast to Franz Josef.
The weather is much better than yesterday afternoon. The sun is out and it's a balmy 12degrees.
Well this is a mixup. We have been regularly staying in these Top 10 Holiday Parks but as we were chasing internet access for logging caches we decided to stay in town tonight. (vodafone)
Headed out to find this cache and then read the cache page. Doh! Talk about mixed fortunes.
So off we went to the office to seek permission to search for the cache.
Went up 1 side and down the other! lol... Mrs Felix was singing She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes..... (old age...)
Found the cache then headed back to town to watch the sunset.

"Howdy" from Arizona USA. Got permission & proceeded. AzTaveler made the find. Chiming in with earlier post.. Protect the enviro. Spoiler: it's not in the vegetation on the top!
Called in heading south, the girl at reception was happy for us to proceed and knew about the "convention" at Dunedin this weekend where we are heading. On the way up Anna's cheap Ugg boots gave up the ghost in the wet, but we got to the top and after a bit of searching made the find.
It might be worth adding a bit of a hint so people don't disturb the vegetation and cause damage that could annoy the park owners, otherwise they seem happy to have people check it out, I guess in hope of future business. Thanks BareKiwi.com

Equal third to find on the way to the Mega with highrod. The girl at reception was ready excited as she knew about the cache and thought we were the first to ask. Took Tiki and left two of my pathtags. TFTC
this must have been in our pocket query and we did not know untill it popped up on GPS as we hit town. Lucky we read the cache page first. So swung into reception, to be told we are the first to ask. Short wander to sign the very visible cache. We reported our find as requested. Reception commented he may go up and make it less visible (so it will last).nice spot here. thanks
