Searched very hard for this one but no luck. There was mud from earlier flooding quite high up so the cache may well be covered or washed away. Plenty of tuis in the kowhai trees.
On tour at the whanganui river road. I had a nice rest at this beautiful place.
Thank you for hiding the cache.

Second to last stop on the way down the River Road. Saw a couple of canoeist shooting a small rapid then off up the track.
Unfortunately no fantails about today. A quick find assisted by the cache being on the ground. Signed log and put it back where it appears to sit.

Up from Wellington and today travelling from Taumaranui back to Palmerston North via Pipiriki, grabbed a couple of caches on the way. SL TFTC.
A weekend road trip of epic proportions. Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I plan to carve our way through the Waikato, Manawatu-Wanganui and Taranaki Regions while collecting an assortment of caches for various challenges we are working on. Should be a fun excursion...
A short walk along an overgrown path brought us to ground zone and the cache. A pity the eponymous characters of this cache were a DNF. TFT .

Another weekend caching with Squirrel Nutcase, due to the kilometres we are travelling this time a over night stop in Stratford was needed. Number off D/T Ratings and old caches was our mission.

After hiking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing yesterday, we went to Wanganoui by car today. Since we didn't want to drive only, we took a break at some nice places and stretched our feet. Of course we also stopped for a cache or two. Since this cache was right on the road, we couldn't resist and made a stop and at the same time we had the chance to look at the Wanganoui River, which we will drive in a few days. Thanks a lot for the cache.
On our [trip around the world](http://www.hoppundweg.piekar.de/) we came to New Zealand as well. We first visited the south Island, then we came to the north island. We searched many caches and found almost every cache we searched for . Thanks to all the owners of these caches. Now, 2 years later, we recognized, we will never be able to log every cache seperately... So: Sorry for this standard logtext and thanks for one of the caches, which accompanied us on our journey.
Found a few caches together with Pandabaer13 whilst driving along the beautiful Wanganui River Road.
Found together with divingbrothers during our 4weeks tour through New Zealand.

Stopped here on the return leg of today's mission that ended up being longer and much tougher than initially expected.
This area is quite peaceful - aside from us cachers rummaging around and calling to each other of course. Saw a fantail as the cache would make one expect and a 'swing' that I don't think would hold me.
Logged with permission of the owner. Thanks heaps mjmnz!

August dot day and hunting those elusive last couple of souvenirs and therefore achieve the seventh. On an afternoon caching trip with tommy gun 9, spud nz and hunter hillson and the weather was the usual story, four seasons in one day, or everywhere you go you always take the weather with you. Luckily the rain held off and we were able to find all of our successful cache finds in dry and pleasant weather, for Winter anyway.
Sadly this one was a D N F. Can see where the cache WAS hidden previously, just an empty hole today

We definitely found the right area. Capperz found one spot he liked and I found another 4-5 spots that looked likely with no joy. Ultimately four of us put in a very good search with no joy.
Had a friendly fantail come and saw hi though.

Wasn't able to find this cache today but we did manage to find a tree swing (see photo attached to log)
12088… A quick stroll to the cache, there were a couple of friendly flitting fantails hovering around this morning, TFTC.
One of our favourite birds are fantails but none were spotted today. A quick, easy find. Once the kids were safely in the car we walked onto the nearby bridge for some knee wobbling views.

Spent some time trying to find this cache with the GPS jumping around all over the place.
Eventialy findind it after i sat down and and thought about it and the clues.
Nice location for a cache with only one fantail, which actualy flitted around the cache area, I should have taken notice sooner.

A short walk indeed. No sign of any fantails today but we surprised a ewe at GZ. Searched the wrong place at first but then quickly discovered the right place. TFTC
Fantails would be one of my favourite birds, they are so inquisitive and seemingly fearless. I love it when they accompany us on bush walks, but we didn't flush any out today.

#5228. We thought we heard some fantail squeaking while at GZ, but didn't actually see any. TFTC.
We were on our journey home with FMZ after a weekend of caching in the area. Stopped here and made the short walk to GZ. The well hidden cache was soon found and log signed. No sign of the fantail today. TFTC.
Quick stop on our trip down the River Rd - with rosmar. Didn't see any fantails today but could see why they would like it there. TFTC!!!
An easy find as we followed the Adams family and the Powell family in many thanks
One look, one grip and I had it. Nice one.
Thanks for hiding! Wiesel Flink,

Found while on the way back to Wanganui after a few days up the river.
Powellfamilynz found this one and we were just picking through the stash when 2bullbars turned up looking for the cache also!
This was the first time we had arrived at a cache at the same time as another (unknown) geocacher!
It was nice to hear about their trip (and caches visited) through Wanganui.

A good reason to stop and stretch our legs.. Mr P found the cache and Mrs P signed the log. t4tc
Found this one while visiting with AdamsFamilyof5 - when another pair of geo-cachers turned up at the same time! First thought they were Muggles, but very nice to meet and chat with 2BullBars. 9 year old loved the pet rock from Rattl. She exchanged it for a pink bead.
We heva found the cache by our way to Ohakune. Unfortunately we haven´t seen any fantail there. TFTC
Easy find but no fantails this morning. Waved to the mayor though as she passed me getting back to the car. TFTC
Put off by the huge spider very close to the hide! Nice stop on our drive down the river though, TFTC
Took us a while but got there in the end. No fantails today unfortunately - as tourists I still got excited when we saw one!
Finished milking & feeding the calves, then off on a quick trip to town for the morning.
Managed to find a place to park directly opposite the track, which made for a very quick walk indeed.
Track wasn't too muddy, but was pretty wet.
Co-ords were spot on, which made for a quick find.
Left a pet rock - a bear cub. TFTC & the FTF
