Just about to give up when we stumbled over it. Difficulty is not understated. Tftc

06-Sep-15
Oh no! Really sorry, I didn't know this one was archived until just now. I didn't see any fences or signs preventing entry the way I approached, and while there were some new plantings near GZ they are well protected and there is no danger of them being harmed as its obvious they are not the cache nor where the cache is hidden.

Anyway, the cache itself was still present and in good condition. If I had known it was archived I would have picked it up and taken it away. Thanks for the cache -Goose-

03-Aug-15
Due to the changed nature of the area around GZ and the clear signs that say do not enter I am archiving this cache.

02-Aug-15
Found it, though not entirely sure I was supposed to be in this bit of bush.

02-Aug-15
Cache is in the middle of clearly marked revegetation zone, and we're stomping. Sent CO a message but no reply.

15-Jul-15
This one was actually easier than I thought it would be. Very clever and I like what you did in the title. TFTH

14-Jul-15
Cool cache, thx:-)

10-Jul-15
Easy find as thought of previous hide. Tnx for cache

09-Jul-15
Ftc on the floor. Put back where we think it was ment to be. A fallen tree provides opertunity to hide a cache.

28-Jun-15
Found it!

12-Jun-15
Should really be moved away from area.

01-Jun-15
Found it with BissraFranky. Spot the difference to make a quick found. SLTFTC -Goose- Smile

Lots of possible hidden spots and BissraVicky manage to find it quickly. TFTC

Was gonna have a go at this one a few weeks ago but ran out of time. This arvo I had the chance to revisit Wireless Hill for my daily caching fix.

I had an idea that this would be a fairly difficult search and let out a little groan as I approached GZ. I consider myself quite lucky to find the cache after only about 5 minutes looking. It was sort of what I was expecting.

I have to admit that I was vaguely aware of the restricted access to this area but I didn't encounter any no entry signs on my way in, only spotted it on the return to the car. Also I hadn't seen Elrin's or AusLORON's logs until I was already at GZ. With all that in mind I too agree that the cache should be moved.

SLTFTC

I'm looking forward to meeting other geocachers in Busselton at the 'WA GOES BIG IN 2015' event. Registrations now open.

This trail through the bush to access this cache is no longer available, and cachers searching for this geocache are unwittingly creating a geotrail through native bushland now marked "No entry. This are is under re-vegetation".

Logs in February 2014 (over a year ago) note that the closest access trail has been closed. Later logs attach a photo of the sign regarding area re-vegetation, and ask the CO to consider moving the cache. A needs maintenance was created 10/09/2014 specifically requesting the cache be relocated. This has not been responded to, nor have the later maintenance logs regarding full logbook.

I'm concerned about the possibility of unintentional damage caused by cachers. It could also damage the general geocaching reputation if the land owners attribute bush damage to us, which risks other excellent caches placed in the same park. Does the administrator feel it is appropriate to temporarily disable the cache?

30-Apr-15
As the area is currently undergoing revegetation, it may be a good idea to move the cache to a more accessible area, for the time being at least.

Elrin and I had some spare paper with us, so we have added a little notebook page to the cache to extend the log Smile

30-Apr-15
Elrin got this one, after stepping back and applying some "Duck" (or in this case, Goose!) thinking. Very clever!

As much as we enjoyed the sneaky nature of this hide, we agree with the sentiments of many other logs here. The area is currently blocked off as it is undergoing revegetation, and perhaps some intervention from the CO is needed to move the cache to a more accessible area. There was a clear geopath to the area, and that really defeats the purpose of the revegetation, even though I'm sure we are all careful not to tramp through destructively.

30-Apr-15
The GPS was a little ambiguous about what we should search, so we checked out a couple of spots that seemed to suit the cache title. One thing caught my eye as not being quite in keeping with the surrounds and I then had my hands on well constructed camo. As per maintenance requests in January and February, the log was full so AusLoron and I started another sheet on a page of notebook paper.

As much as I really enjoyed this style of this hide and feel that it's a great cache to find, I share the same sentiment many people have expressed in their logs; feeling bad for entering an area of bush marked as no entry due to re-vegetation and knowing that as careful as geocachers are, we are still likely to cause damage to the area while locating this cache. To quote a needs maintenance log from September last year "The cache needs moving now".

caching day for bissra franz and I. good camo! tftc Smile

25-Apr-15
Nice hide. Was good to take a walk through the bushland on the log weekend. Good camo too. Cheers!

19-Apr-15
The jinta family headed here for some lunch and a spot of caching after a flying trip to Freo Smile

We were a bit concerned on approach to GZ and after a minute or so mrs jinta gives the 'got it' call and we admired a neat container here Smile. TFTC -Goose-

Found after a while. Though cache was exposed. Put back where it is suppose to go.

Quite a quick find of a sneaky camo, TFTC

03-Mar-15
What a pain this one was, went for this one after finding another cache nearby, GPS wouldn't settle, jumping back and forth 20 meters... such a clever little cache. Thanks!

27-Feb-15
The log sheet is full and needs to be replaced. I did not have any supplies with me.

27-Feb-15
Reasonably quick find this morning. Very ingenious. I did feel guilty walking along this closed trail and agree the cache could be relocated to somewhere else alongside an open trail. There is plenty of open space within Wireless Hill. As others have noted, the log sheet is full and needs to be replaced. I squeezed my name in sideways as there was little room for anything else. Thanks for the cache -Goose-.

21-Feb-15
Nice find, well done

21-Feb-15
Satisfying find TFTC

21-Feb-15
Found during a BBQ picnic with super_hans and adsvk... We had the right idea but still took a while before we finally got our hands on the cache. Thanks for a great hide! As mentioned earlier the log is full but we managed to squeeze our names on in tiny writing!

16-Jan-15
Sneaky one, tftc

16-Jan-15
Log is full, needs a new one

04-Jan-15
Clevee hide! Be careful on the two in though as there is re-forestation happening

It was a perfect day today Big Grin Lovely weather, amazing caches, pleasant bike rides through all the beautiful places around the river. TFTC!

After finding a very hard duck cache within the park, we trekked down to this very clever, well camouflaged cache within the bush Smile

We too agree with a previous cacher's log in regards with the area under a revegitation program. The "track" leading to the cache is virtually non existent which leads to tramping on a fragile area. It may be worth to have look.

We loved the clever cache and thanks for bringing us here Goose Smile

16-Nov-14
I had the pleasure of going geocaching with the olthomas family this morning and the youngest member of our team, katykat, was the first to lay eyes on this one. A clever hide although probably in need of a bit of maintenance.

16-Nov-14
Find 5 of 15 today.
Met up with ask277 at Wireless Hill Park for a morning of duck43 caches amongst others. Had a brilliant morning and early afternoon of finds, some quick, some not so quick. Nicely constructed camo here, found by geokid 2. We placed the log in a new, more robust container. TFTC!

09-Oct-14
The area is under a reveg program and it is not very good to have cachers trampling past no entry signs into the area. The cache needs moving now

09-Oct-14
We came, we saw, we conquered, but .... We thought that we'd missed the path, but there is now no path. The whole area is under a revegetation program, we had just missed the "no entry" signs the way we came in.

I really think that the cache should be moved. I feel that it is good enough just to be a metre from a path and muggles would not see it.

Thanks Goose for a well made camo

08-Oct-14
Not quite a duck, but not a bad effort. Agree with other loggers, might be worth moving

21-Sep-14
Quick find

21-Sep-14
Easy find tftc

13-Sep-14
Walked along the path, don't think we were meant to come out this way now, but we took care. Quick find. Log was damp and our pencil wouldn't make a mark, so we waited a few minutes in the breeze as was able to sign.

06-Sep-14
TFTC. Looks like it might need to be relocated as I don't think this path is supppsed to be in use now Smile

06-Sep-14
Yay tftc. May need to look at where the cache is placed as the path that was there has been closed off. But the cache is very clever. Tftf Smile

03-Aug-14
Awesome

30-Jul-14
Had grand plans with logging a few find in the wireless hill reserve after working in the area.

After spending way to much time at the nearby wildflower walk, I had to quickly moved on to this cache. As with previous finders I did fill a bit guilty walking along the track dotted With freshly planted rehab trees.

Once at gz I quickly spotted the odd one out and signed the log

Tftc

27-Jul-14
Found it but felt guilty looking. Maybe it should be moved?

20-Jul-14
Camo not in the best condition. Might want to consider a location change as it is in an area that they are trying to rehabilitate.

12-Jul-14
Needs some maintenance as it had come apart. Have put together as best I can.

11-Jul-14
This one took me a while. Clever camp. Tftc

Grabbed this while in the area. Neat little hide. Thanks Goose.

26-May-14
Very Happy

18-May-14
Found the cache nice and easy, although I guessed what the cache hide was before attending I thought it would be harder to locate. Retrieved and signed the log, Now off to find the last remaining unfound cache in the Wireless Hill park.
Thanks for the cache.

10-May-14
Nice cache on a lovely sunny day, good fun!!

04-May-14

After looking for about 10 minutes the GeoSon finally found it - good Camo!

03-May-14
We found it. Ducks are better

02-May-14
Can confer with Le Mackman, on finding this the log is saturated, must be form the very quick down pour overt least few day. Looks as though it could do with some TLC. Great cache idea and well done Goose, keep up the great work. Smile

01-May-14
Found some time ago on a family picnic in the area. AMAZING views on the way to this cache. Great hide. TFTC -Goose-

01-May-14
Nice walk through the bush to reach GZ, and a swift find. Great cache but it needs some TLC and consequently the log is saturated.

Thanks for the wander.

09-Apr-14
Thanks for the effort to create an interesting cache. Well done.

Nice one, thank you.

22-Mar-14
Found it with a little help from BelKen. TFTC Goose

07-Mar-14
Nice hide! This completes the Wireless Hill caches for me. Bit of a bushwalk but well worth it in the end.

04-Mar-14
After a few caches along the foreshore we headed for wireless hill for some more innovative Duck43 caches and to grab an old WA cache (wonder when an old school caching challenge will be set like some of the other states?). We found them all accept could not attempt Out House due to worker muggles nearby.

Melville water was first. We followed the little geo trail in and made a quick find of the nice bit of camo. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Wildflower Walk was next and once at GZ we where lucky as we made the find straight away (some times you get lucky). We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Wireless Hill #1 was next and after a few path detours due to path closures we got there. We let the GPSr settle and then spotted the camo nearby. We signed the log and re hid. TFTC
We followed a different track out to branching our which again appears closed from the main track. We where looking at one area and then moved to another where we saw a tell tale sign and made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
From hear it was onto Grandma's Radio. As we got close it was a case of following the geo trail and made an easy find. Certainly unlikely to get any cache creep with this one. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Pumps01 was last on our circuit back to the car after still spotting the workers near Out House. We took a few circles to narrow down GZ and originally dismissed the hid on possible safety grounds. Once we returned to some previous locations with some careful investigation we came up with the hide. A quick sign of the log and re hid. TFTC

We came across country and found the cache. It seems however they don't want people walking this path anymore. May be worth a visit to check the location.

Thanks for the cache.

A clever cache and worthy of its duck43 neighbours. TFTC -Goose-!

24-Oct-13
A lovely day to be out and about today on "Girls Day Out!" having a good gossip and finding some great caches. This was another lovely walk from the carpark, with the Kangaroo Paws in full bloom.
The cache was quickly spotted, but sadly the log was soaked. This was removed and another put in its place.
Thanks for a well crafted cache -Goose-.

24-Oct-13
Well somehow we were chatting on facebook on the Geocaching WA page and the 'girls' decided they were going to team up to tackle some caches after some chatting about where to meet it was decided the girls wanted to team up and find some 'Duck' caches without their hubbies who always 'spot' them first!

Still with some of the Girls headed up to Wireless hill to track down a couple published since our last visit.

After finding 'Out House' we wandered down to this one. Nice work on the the cache, but the log was unfortunately saturated so we replaced it but only with a 'micro' log. Will need replacing after about a dozen logs.

Well worth a fave point

TFTC -Goose-

Spent the day caching around the southern suburbs of Perth.
We visited a variety of parks, and cache hides.
All were well hidden and in good condition.
Thanks for the cache, -Goose-.

12-Oct-13
Water had leaked onto logbook, needs new snaplock bag. Excellent hide.

05-Oct-13
Came here in the late afternoon on the way to Fremantle for a meal. I had walked on Wireless Hill last time I was in Perth long before I started caching and I really enjoyed it so it was great to visit again. Found this one very quickly, the hardest part was getting to it as the easiest approach route has been fenced off. Signed log, TFTC

02-Oct-13
Found the cache. Not sure if the cache is ever meant to be attached to the tree..but there is a fallen tree on the ground with cache exposed.

15-Sep-13
Log is a bit wet from a couple of days rain.
Probably needs drying out.
Nice Find.
Kangaroo paws everywhere.

12-Sep-13
Great camo.
Logbook is quite wet.

31-Aug-13
Nicely constructed cache. Just needs a little maintenance now. The log is quite wet and the joins could do with a little attention, but otherwise a nice implementation. Thanks Goose for the hide.

This cache needs some love. Would suggest metal rod rather than dowel. Great idea. I couldn't get the log out but that's coz I only had one hand.

The dowels have broken and it was in two pieces when I arrived but good idea like the thinking TFTC Smile
