TFTC Found with andyfreya. Log full but signed. Favorite because of this type of cache.
Today we headed east from the west coast. Past high mountains and wide valleys. The river meanders through the wide valley. From time to time we stop to learn more about the history of the area or to explore special natural phenomena. The mines in the valley and their events and the special nature of the hot springs are very interesting. The traditionals let us stretch our legs and are a welcome change. Many thanks to all the owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi
Vielen Dank sweetandsour fr diesen gut versteckten Cache!____________________________________I had imagined my stopover in Hanmer Springs to be a little drier. Instead of hiking I did some smaller excursions and relaxing in the beautiful lodge where I spent the night. Nevertheless, I visited a handful of caches in the small town. I also visited the ingenious Glenalvon Oaks cache and left my signature in the logbook. Thank you sweetandsour for this well-hidden cache!
The best hidden one we have logged in quite some time.Well done!TFTC, dky za ke!

Grub62 and I are visiting Hamner Springs, Grub62 thought she might try the Springs while we were visiting New Zealand. Great views around the area. A very clever hide and well disguised. The logbook will need to be replaced very shortly but it was in good condition otherwise. Thanks for the entertainment and TFTC. PS another favourite point to add to your collection.
After a lovely morning in the hot springs - this was a lovely walk to find this cache. What a well hidden cache. TFTC and for bringing us here sweetandsour.
An excellent camo cache that had me quite stumped and literally going around in circles! Can see why its a favourite!
Super clever all around, from the cache, the hint, everything. I had to go back three times, but in the end I felt it was a good solve and I learned new skills. Thanks!
Quick stop on the way to the pools to find this cache. My eagle eyed sister was the first to spot it. Awesome little cache
Down from Nelson for the weekend. Did consider a late night search after a good feed and a few beers nearby but decided to leave it until the following morning. Ventured out with Mrs ChrisB34 nice and early and once the GPS settled, soon found this sneaky hide. Thanks so much for the fun sweetandsour, on a beautiful frosty morning. Gets a fav from me.
Morning walk while on a mini holiday in Hanmer. Thought i would look at my app and see if there were any caches about and sure enough just as we were walking past. Love it!!Forever without my pen when walking
Great little find. Visiting from Brisbane Australia. Travelling around the North of the South Island. Loving Hamner!!!
TFTC, what a fabulous cache and a perfect way to finish of the day after chilling in the springs
Came up for the hot pools and grabbed this before sunset. Very crafty hide, well done. Thanks
What a awesome wee hide. Definitely a favourite point given for this one. Found with Elliot13. TFTC
Very clever on holiday in hanmer just did the Four Square hanmer 10km walk what a awesome day we have had. Fav from both aalis_01 and I. She forgot to fav it. TFTC
Beautiful walk in gorgeous Hamner. Took an early morning chilly stroll. Agreed with comments...originally looked in wrong tree but after reading logs, it was a quick find. Didnt have a pen. TFTC
Agreed about the gps. Widened my search a bit, overlooked it once, activated my geo-eyes and found it! Super super cute cache! No pen, sorry. Tftc!!
Gps initially took me to the wrong tree with nothing like the hint. Pleased with how quickly I found this as it could be a beast if not looking properly. Being April the acorns are raining down all around. TFTC
We parked just 50m away and I had a spare moment for a quick cache, gps took me to the wrong tree but found the very clever hide, thanks!
Tried last night, but too dark and the GPS was all over the place. Back again this morning first thing and quickly found with EleniB and Little Jimmy. All very impressed with the inspirational design.New log sheet installed along with the old. Thanks for cache, sweet and sour. Took nothing, left nothing, travellers visited and the new log was signed. Oh, a favourite point from me.
Nice hide. Will give it a FP. Log is full, please replace. Thanks for placing the cache
While the rest of the family were shopping my grandson and I came along to find this cache. A great hide that we eventually spotted. A FP awarded. TFTC.
Awesome cache. Big J looked right at it but that clever container tricked her. Found it at dusk too. Definitely a favorite. TFTC
What a spectacular start in 2024. We had a wonderful 5 weeks trip around New Zealand South Island - Te-Wai-Pounamu. We saw a lot of fantastic places, met a lot of so friendly, relaxed and helpful people. The nature is gorgeous beautiful for me, I love it During our trip we also found some geocaches and saw very nice places also off the beaten tourist tracks.TFTCcassandra07
We are going out to explore our world. Find new and special places around the world not only where we live. Therefore it was a pleasure to find your cache.thanks to sweetandsour for the cache.########################TFTChsErich
Very clever hide. Right in downtown. Wasting some time before stores open this morning.
Very long bike ride today: Springfield to Hanmer Springs. Very hot and a lot of main road. Not the best but had to get there to complete my 3 day bike ride home . Anyway, took a few moments to do some geocaching as a little break. Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining, tftc!
Summer Holiday 2024Day #1Arrived in Hanmer with AlpiSteve and found on our way to the hot pools. Very very cool TFTC Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. GCA7ZHD Geo Toroa will be held on NZs Labour Day long weekend 26-27th October 2024
Saw someone standing suspiciously in the area, not sure if they were a geocacher or muggle, but inspired me to check the app, sure enough right on top of it, quick find, TFTC
The GPS was bouncing a little. I had an inkling of what to look for, and sure enough there it was great cache!
Well that took a lot longer than it should have. Could blame the shadows, the wandering GPS or perhaps just my eyesight. Definitely worth a favourite
Hier hatte heute meine Muggelbegleitung den richtigen Blick. Der kleine hat uns gefallen. Danke frs Herlocken sagt die Hamburg Hummel ??
After a blissful 2hrs soaking in the hot pools and going on the hydroslides we found this cache while the grandparents went for a cold drink nearby. Such a great cache thanks! +Fav
Thank you for the awesome cache! We have only done a few but finding cool ones like these are always fun!
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way. After dinner we went for a walk through Hanmer Springs. Wow, this little "guy" is cool...??. In addition to our signature in the guest book, we are happy to add a blue "ribbon" here...??.Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from Switzerland????PS: Translated with the Deepl app??
A very quick find here, but then had to wait to replace the cache as the owners of the car beside me arrived back and finally drove away. tftc
We arrived here for a short break, which may be slight longer than anticipated as apparently there is a RTC further along on the main road. Not withstanding that, this is a lovely area and with a chance to grab a cache or two we noticed this one and were intrigued. GPS gave us a few possibilities but the second one saw the sneaky little culprit. Its nice when COs go that little bit extra, something that we always try and do with our own back in the UK. Definitely deserves a favourite from us. TFTC
I love when a cache is imaginative and goes beyond the mint tin or click-lock container so this reaches favourite status for me . Thank you for placing the cache. Found whilst travelling for a week after a family wedding.I have enjoyed my opportunity to cache on Te Waipounamu (South Island Aotearoa New Zealand). I acknowledge the Maori iwi of Waipounamu, the custodians of this beautiful land.
We've been in Hnamer quite a few times. We looked for this cache quite a long time last time we went. But it was winter and dark. Today, as both parents where trying to locate the cache, Mr9 said found it. Dad was disappointed as he didn't even have a chance to look. A combination of light, right size, and knowing what to look for. Last we lack at least two elements...
On the Molesworth 4x4 tour with South Island Tours. Explaining to the 10 muggles on tour what I was doing. I might have converted a couple. As we were staying the night across the road, I headed out for a walk before dinner. Pleased it was a quick find, as there were a few muggles about. Loved the cache, so I give a favorite. Cheers from Hastings
Very cool hide, giving this an FP. Pleased to be hunting while no muggles around to be curious
Got it this time! Had to think outside the square, knot is the key clue, super hide
Found while in town for a night and for the thermal pools. Logbook is full. No wonder when it's so tiny
