A quick stop while passing through the area. FP point for a great memorable setup and the COs minty breath. TFTH
Sadly, even after expanding Ground Zero quite a bit, I couldnt put my eyes on the Geocache. Its pretty sad that theres always dumping going on here with all these cans and bottles and other things. Thanks anyways.
We had a pretty good search for this cache.Sorry NationalSteel 26 January 2024 16:21
Glad to see the Eclipse tins being recycled
Thanks for the cache NationalSteel

Wow this one hasn't been found in awhile. We weren't actually going to go down this road but decided to do a side trip to have a look. Found the access lane and parked up and began the search. Wd were thinking it would be a decent size considering it has mint tins inside. Yes it still has quite a few. I searched that location twice before actually seeing it.
Thanks for placing this cache.

A fun scramble and after re-checking our elevation we had cache in hand.....a little more work needed to find the log

We followed the parking instructions and off to GZ. After changing levels it was soon spotted. There are PLENTY of mint tins there for now. We took none! Then after 15 goes we had CIH. That's karma back at me as I have one just like this in The Shire. TFTC
Filled it up with tins! Also conducted a jailbreak of all the TBs which have built up and will move them along on my travels. Happy hunting!
Having found this one years and years ago, we decided to revisit it to collect a couple potential cache containers but were surprised to find it devoid of anything except the log. We had no containers with us - after all, that's why we came back - so instead decided to drop a couple Tbs. Thanks again for the cache.
Out caching with family. Nice to be out in the fresh air. Thanks to all the COs whose caches we found today.
This was one the family had previously been to and said I just had to see and we had hoped to pick up a couple of eclipse tins but that was not to be today it had absolutely none. We did leave some TBs for the next finder and hope that someone has some eclipse tins to fill this up with. I think it could probably fit 70 or so in there . wow!.

Found with Paris1262 on a beautiful sunny winters day dropped off a couple of Trackables thanks NationalSteel for placing this here️
#7234. My last day of the Australia trip. Been having a good time touring around caches in Sydney, Canberra and now over here near Wollongong after visiting the Mega event. Today was the least structured day of the trip. I need to be back in Sydney by 4pm at the latest for my flight home and so haven't really planned any target caches. Just picking up a few that seem interesting as I head inland and back along the highway north to airport.
Parked off the side of the highway and wandered back along the disused road. Access to the cache wasn't as bad as I first feared. Wondered how I would ever locate an eclipse tin in this place. But once at GZ all was revealed. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks NationalSteel for hiding it here. A cleverly placed cache.
Once back up near the car there were about 20 motorbikes parked nearby. One of the bikes had run out of petrol and they were all debating where the next petrol station was. Lucky for them I could load up fuel stations on my GPS and tell them exactly how far away and in which direction. Must have wondered who this guy was who emerged out of the wilds to assist them!

Stamped logs as TM/WW NZ or in pen as tm421/ww9
Another nice find for us today, thanks for putting this cache out.
Nice spot with the tunnel.

After fussing round on the bank a while I finally approached from a different angle and found it. Nearly went for a swim tripping over though. Is in good condition Though your mint fetish seems somewhat slowed with only the cache present. Found in good condition. Tftc
The D/T and Favourite points on this cache lured me here today to come and ch.eck it out, and I am very glad I did!
A good safe place to park the car which was nice and wandered on over towards GZ.
After looking in some more high terrain locations I soon found the cache a bit closer to ground. My favourite cache container too! (the outer container that is.... lol)
Opened it up and saw the theme behind the cache and after sorting through a couple of them the log was in my hand
Thanks for the cache NationalSteel! A good location and idea! Appreciate the effort

Well worth the terrain rating, even in the dry it is slippery. Just squeezed my name on there but both logs are full. TFTC
With the holidays nearly finished it was time to return to some caching grounds i havent been too for some time! Today it was port kembla, shell harbour and up to macquarie pass.
Such a fine and glorious day with the weather cooler on this side of macquarie range than goulburn. As always in this part of the state plenty of photos were taken, views enjoyed and points handed out to some great caches.
Cant believe i missed this cache last trip. Thanks NationalSteel

Just a little cache day in the highlands, on this freezing cold day, looks are deceiving. I'm not a fan of the 'mint tin' craze, therefore log signed and took nothing.. haha.. nice way to dispose of them
Cheers

Found on the way back from a geoday in Wollongong. This is he first cache I've seen of this kind, thanks!
There's a clear path to GZ if you start at the right spot. Visited today and stocked up the tins. Enjoy!
Grass was too long and too many thorns for me wearing shorts. I'll hopefully come back in a different season when it's less overgrown.
While staying at Moss Vale we took a drive out through some of the local area to look at the scenery and grab a few caches. TFTC
Shrouded today , just shy of Halloween - spooky with the black cockiest cawing above...
Out and about with Happy Uke again today. We set out to get two but ended up with six under out belt.
This was our sixth and last for the day. We had to hunt around for it a bit and the wombat is still there.
Thanks!

Decided to grab two long standing puzzles with Finalf29. The weather was good, the company great and the geoplanets aligned so ended up finding six in a couple of hours!
This was our last for the day. We had missed it going north so we had another go at on the way back. Found a good parking spot this time. Our GPS's were a little bouncy, so we were up and down the slope...but Finalf29 went the full distance and came up trumps. Then which one...I felt like he went through every single one...which wouldn't have mattered normally, but the dead wombat didn't help with the ambiance. Finalf29 and I have now started collecting weird containers, that we are going to use for cache hides...just have to get around to hiding them! Thanks

Visited this one as it's been a while, and I added three more tins while I was here. The logbook is nearly full but still has a little space left. Otherwise (and apart from the dead wombat nearby) it's in good condition. Happy hunting!
Nice drive up to kangaroo valley on a caching mission thanks for the cache with shrimp92 and cullum68
Nice little cache. Thankyou for bringing us here. Found with nissan 65 and shrimp 92.Thankyou for the cache . A very smelly dead wombat here. Second last tin to open.
Can you believe it. Second last one.

Nice find on a geocaching trip with minniek bOtman and geokids.
Love the idea how this one. The fog rolled in pretty thick while we were there

What a great cache to find. Had to restrain a geokid from playing and getting wet. Was out and about with countrykittykat and B0tmun.
Edited to add that one of the geokids picked up a leech.....found out on the way to the next cache! Thankfully it came off easily and didn't leave much of a mark.

School holiday fun.
First time down here it was a hot day, with the long grass and water we decided not to go after this one. This time round and a few months later we decided to brave it and came out with the reward

On our way back from Carrington falls, based on the name I expected a quick park and grab.
Ugh, how wrong was I. Not only did I have to put effort in a safe descent, I also needed to figure out in which mini-container I had to look. And at the end I forgot in which I put the log so I had to shuffle the mini-containers again to make sure that they were really shuffled instead of at the bottom. #firstworldgeocachingproblems
Thanks for this one, it make my day.

Nice hide! Got to it just before the fog and storm rolled in today. Found with lizzy_94. Tftc!
We've only done one similar cache before and that was in Spain some years ago....one of the Inspector Gadget series by our friend Isala3. TFTC and an FP.
Such a clever idea, didn't take me long to find the right one, but still great. Thanks!
Amazingly this was the second cache that I found today that used this technique. Although the other CO's breath was much fresher than your's - nice one!
Nice cache, well hidden and the eclipse containers aswell! Left a little minion suprise ;D
Find 20 of 25 for today.
Unfortunately, being an 'unplanned' stop, I didn't have my collection of de-minted, mint tins with me. Otherwise, I'd have love to have been able to add to the confusion .... err, collection.
On the 13th tin, I thought I found the log. But it was a business card log by someone who seems to have taken a 'short cut' to logging a find - you know who you are.
Finally, on the 25th one, the real log.
Signed and jumbled the lot and replaced.
Fun cache NationaSteel, thanks!

Great little cache, excellent spot for one, not the place you think it will be. Very nice collection of mint boxes. Also log needs replacing as it's almost to full to sign. TFTC.
An interesting find indeed Thank you for the cache NationalSteel.

Find #14 of 24 caches found for the day
I really had to search for this after a false start and the GPS playing games with me I ended up finding this one and that was only the begining of the search. eventually found the log and did the duties. I really think that it could have been a few more caches but an iteresting concept all the same.
Sorry for the late logging I needed to finish a House renovation and had a few computer and internet problems now back on the road I have the time to log again.
Thanks NationalSteel for this place to stop.
The total count for the day was 24 consisting 20 Traditional 4 Multi
Grand Cache count = 25 total consisting of 24 Traditionals and 1 Multi

I found this cache as a joint part of “Team” *Throsbyonchurch* and in which name the log book was signed. I now have my own account as I’m old enough to cache myself, so I am claiming a fair share of my earlier finds. As I had no caching name at the time there's no log in the book for me but I’m claiming the find under team ToC. Thank you for the hide.
We scurried to near the coordinates and as geokid is more agile went and got the cache and brought it back to me. All nice and dry we arranged all the eclipses nicely and geokid returned it to its safe hidey hole. TNLN DSL TFTH.
Well, NT you have made a new Eclipse on the horizon. Enjoyed this one, specially when we found the log. TFTC
Very good! Coincidentally, we found a similar-themed cache only less than a week ago up in the Blue Mountains, and we've also done a very similar one not a million miles away from here but very hard to get to! TFTC NationalSteel!

Holy crap that is a lot of tins. Found during a nighttime cache run. Excellent condition and still crammed with tins. TFTC!!
TFTC thank you for showing us this area. A most interesting cache it is hard to believe you have any teeth left after all those mints. TNLN
Close by within 10mtrs decided to read the description, Mrs M was following about another 10mtr behind when I got to the bit about snakes she was gone in a flash. I stopped and considered next move, forward or back? They sound as though they are poisonous - no that's wrong there's no such thing as a poisonous snake is there! they are venomous. Anyway not keen on claiming on the travel insurance. Decided where the cache was and went for it, wrong! regained a stable footing and whats that AHA! Well it wasn't going to be the first one was it. No, every single one opened.
I must be half blind. I looked at it and it didn't register. Then after another wander around it appeared before my eyes
Nice find!! ..still plenty of tins to be taken . It was like a second cache to find the one with the logbook in it ☺TFTC
