On our Australian trip . After started for some days in Darwin we are on the road to Perth now .On the Road after Katherine we have seen Edith Falls, Kunnurra and Bungles Bungle. Finally we cross the Pentecost-river to enter the Gibb RiverRoad . A lot to see like Emma Falls, El Questro, Mitchel Falls, Manning Gorge, Galvans Gorge, Bell Gorge, Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge .Now return on the sealed road again . Further over Derby, Broome, Port Hedland, Karratha, Karijini NP, Exmouth and now down the coast to Perth .After Coral Bay we headed further on the road and stopped for this one .Thanks to the hint and the last logger . Also took the nearby tool to open the cap .TFTC# 17'248
We have to use our imagination action at the moment to get an idea of the " mighty" cache retrieved with the use of a nearby tool. Tftc
Found 13:08Three months of travelling in Western Australia with Muggle friends from the East coast; stopover in Singapore on the outward and return flights. Caches and labs where they are on the way and can be done without too much effort. You may forgive me for using the same standard phrase everywhere, but there's not much more to it than that. Many thanks to all the owners for making our hobby possible. If there is anything wrong with the cache, more detailed information follows.
This was a quick and easy find. The river isn't looking so mighty at the moment. TFTC.
Very tight fit but all well. Thanks. With zPoolman and our geo kids aka team flash
All good here today. She's flowing nicely under the bridge which is the first time I've seen it. TFTC SL.
On our travels we found ourselves in Carnarvon and took the opportunity to grab some caches, while completing an adventure lab we found this cache as per hint, thanks for placing it
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield Nat Park, Wyndham and the Gibb River Road.TFTC.Second visit to this one. Rock did the trick.
A nice quick find here today, although it did take a bit longer to access it. All good though as what was needed was all there and soon had our name on the log, Gascoyne! There's a name. I've heard that name plenty, so good to start to put it into reality of the places.
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip from Adelaide to north-western Western Australia for four or five weeks. Camped out along Milinya-Exmouth Road before heading southward to spend most of the day around Carnarvon and on to our next campsite somewhere near Overlander Roadhouse, finding a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache melvilla!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. Last night we camped south of Coral Bay and this morning we continued traveling south towards Carnarvon and beyond. The cache was a quick find and was in good condition. Thanks melvilla for the cache.

We are having a little bit of time off from helping our friends in Nanson we decided to head north to try and collect a few more LGA's and Lab caches and anything else that pops up on screen.
We had just complteed the last section of the nearby lab on the otherside of the river and the interpretive signs there showed us in 2020 when there was no water to be seen and again in 2022 when the water was above the hand rails of the bridge with debris stacked up against it.
Looking at it today being just a trickle it's really hard to imagine that much water coming down at one time.
We parked around the corner from gz and wandered back up the hill and have to say if it wasn't for the hint we probably wouldn't have got this one as it was really stuck.
We are happy to say that our names are now in the log and everything returned as it was.
Many thanks for showing us another great part of the state.

Been meaning to grab this one for a while, being local to Carnarvon. Finally managed to stop for a quick park and grab. Tftc
We were on the fruit loop drive, looking out for some fresh bananas and mangos where I noticed that there is also a cache around. Made a quick stop the grab the box.
Thanks for the cache and regards from Switzerland.

Towing a caravan from Geraldton to Exmouth today we stopped on the opposite side of the river and took the nice walk across the bridge to get this smiley. Took a tool with us but managed to make the find without having to use it. All signed and returned in good condition as found. TFTC
Found the cache in the last place I looked. Impressive river.

The river is certainly flowing at the moment, due the flood from the north coming down. River is very brown and changes the colour of the sea at the mouth. We walked across the bridge and read the interesting history of the bridge. TFTC
I'm winding my way up to Exmouth for the eclipse Arrived into Carnarvon yesterday and a very enjoyable evening rendezvous at the pub with friends making their own way up from Perth. Today we are heading north to Gnaraloo Station for a few days. We stopped off here on the way through. River is certainly flowing today! Cache was a nice quick find, with *LE4SKY* and *igotdraggedhere*. No problems here - TFTC

We were on a driving/camping holiday up to Exmouth with a few stops on the way and than camping our way back to Perth. Stopping for some caches along the way.
Found some lovely and learned some interesting things that we wouldn't have stopped to look at if it wasn't for caching.
A great time was had, even though one day our campsite was flooded and we had to move to a new site, many animals crossed our paths including a snake in Exmouth, overall it was a great adventure.

Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Saw the recent DNF's but it was just a matter of find the right post. All find and stamped.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

DNF. Too many DNFs, including 'finds' which are DNFs. I also didn't want to get the crowbar onto all of the caps, until I found the correct one. This could damage public infrastructure needing this much force to open it.
No luck here today. Managed to get the top off by using my teeth (not many left now) pointed my torch down and found it to be empty. Im not saying its not there, Im saying it was not in the one at my GZ and I am not prepared to spend another15 min on the sign post making a hell of a lot of noise.
Vine sat..Tftc- quick stop as leaving Carnarvon.
Flies are very bad this visit after recent rains

The log was signed and the cache returned as it was found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for cachers to find.
Way too tight to get off.
Definitely need a hammer but be careful because you are damaging someone's property

This should be moved to a safer, more appropriate location. There are plenty of better spots near or under the bridge. The current location is just silly.
Thanks dunnii.amx. The mighty Gascoyne geocache is indeed in a safe and appropriate location. It is safe from being destroyed by flooding of the river which can rise up to flood the area that you suggested. It is appropriately located adjacent to the Gascoyne River and parking. Putting under the bridge would be unsafe since floodwaters are dangerous. It is located behind a strong fence and can be retrieved without danger from passing vehicles. It appears as though the last user had trouble accessing it after you logged it.
DNF Spent a good 1/2 looking
