Unfortunately the bridge is sealed off for construction work so unable to access this cache
Yep, a beautiful area to go for a walk and look for a cache. All of the dogs did add to the fun. Thanks!
Back in Down Under for the next edition of SuCos Great Australian Roadtrip!
Heading from Sydney to Brisbane in a HippieCamper, what a great fun...
Arrived in SYD today and made a short tour around our appartment in Leichhardt, really a nice area.
Easy to get to, not really "fenced off". Found at the obvious spot. TFTC

A post-Parkrun find. As other finders have mentioned, the area is “officially” fenced off so really the cache should be disabled. But one panel of the fence is down meaning you can gain access to the container. No lid, needs some TLC - maybe relocating over to the new bridge?
Maybe jumped a barrier to get to it also found an 8 legged friend. With ccondack
Geobiking day around Rodd Island for this sunny Sunday.

We couldn't get without go over the fence.

Companions: None
Muggles: Quite a few on the other side of the bridge ...
Weather: Lovely spring morning
Cache condition: Good (if lid-less)
I decided to try out the ParkRun that starts just the other side of the bridge from this cache. I thought I'd find it before the run, to find that the bridge was closed, so left it until afterwards. Once at GZ I made a quick find - TNLNSL, with none of the runners or marshalls noticing me. TFTC

Found the cache just after dark. Luckly i was able to find it in the first place i looked.
Thanks to the previous geocachers for notifying me that the bridge is closed and that you need to approach it from the Leichhardt side.

First day back at work and seeing as there were no students today, it meant I could leave at 3pm and meet up with Deep_99 as he was finishing up work nearby. Started on the wrong side but once we corrected that it was a quick find. SL #3653 on streak day #2209 TFTC
found with Ris768, quick find even though we started on the wrong side at first. Thanks Rinsemesocks for placing this cache

Found ‘TDK landmarks #1- Callan Park Bridge’ (GC58EPK) with morry9.
Today, I teamed up with morry9, to hunt for more Hidden Creatures (and caches), as we fast approach the remaining days of the geocaching June / July 2018 promotion.
I needed another nine cache finds to complete the challenge and capture the illusive World Turtle (digital souvenir). Looking at my map, the Lilyfield and Leichhardt area had a decent concentration of unfound caches, so I invited morry9 to join me for the afternoon.
We started at ’TDK landmarks #1- Callan Park Bridge’ (GC58EPK), which we previously had to abandon after the security guard came over to see what we were up to one night. A quick Phone A Friend was required with the amount of muggles around and the compass bouncing around the place, but we soon had the Cache In Hand.
‘Blondie’ (GC7HK90) proved to be a quick find in between the groundskeepers passing by while on duty.
A short walk down to the Bay Run and a quick find at ’I’m not pulleying your leg - #1 The Bay Run Series’ (GC7G1RT). It is very cutely hidden, but I made sure to put it back with a little more protection than when we found it.
I played a season of footy down at Leichhardt Park a number of years back, before the ’Leichhardt Park Cache.’ (GC5R6ZG) was there. A nice quick find but do not think it is overly secure. Hopefully it sticks around.
Lots of trash to pick up around ’The End Of Norton Street’ (GC7HZM4) site. I picked up as much rubbish as I could, while we grabbed the cache. The CITO Crusaders strike again!
’Pioneers Memorial Park’ (GC701RC) is a lovely park to visit and a nicely constructed cache to find. We did not need the spoilers in the previous logs but it was certainly well hidden.
We were both confused by ’The Bebe Ammo Can - Leichhardt’ (GC7JTR5). This is not an ammo can!? Made a quick find here while taking a short rest along Norton Street.
Lots of passing puppies and their muggle owners meant we had to wait a little before pouncing on ’Barking Mad’ (GC3RCP4).
With the actual bridge closed and needing to be on the other side, we made a straight forward find once we found at way over to ’Hawthorne Parade Troll @ Haberfield’ (GC3TZK2).
It was a fun afternoon out and about in the beautiful winter sunshine. Definitely a good excuse to venture out in the depths of the inviting urban forest, that is Sydney at this time of year.
Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners.

Thank you. We are newbies and had no luck our first attempt but found it the second time. Kids very excited !
Sunny afternoon walk, saw lots of happy paws. Quick find made it even better. Thanks for the cache!
Got to the correct side of the bridge and after a quick search had the cache. Signed and replaced and on to the next. Tftc
A quick find. Take note. The bridge is closed but cache is still safely accessible.
Managed to find the cache after having to detour (the bridge was out of commision) but signed the log and replaced. Found with ReverseG!
I bet this was a little troll! Midway through an interesting chat we found ourselves at GZ, and we sussed our hide using a geotrail. Cache was found relatively quickly and signing duties were done pronto!
Cache happily returned (it’s doing alright) and we were once more heading up through the greenway.
Found with Foreignnebula!

A nice quick cache on my way though the area.
Lid is missing but otherwise in good condition.

Find 2 of 5 for the morning while out exploring Haberfield with the geokiddies.
Arriving at the bridge we found it to be closed. No problem, a quick detour via the newer bridge had us on the right side of the canal and able to make the find. Signed the log and replaced the zip lock bag which was full of holes. I removed some of the excess SWAG which had been stuffed in the container. Some maintenance of the cache is required as the lid is missing. In the meantime careful placement of the cache should keep the water out.
Thanks for the cache RMS.

Found this today after another DNF. Left some little pressure for mini geocachers!!
Today we headed over to Leichhardt, taking advantage of the cheap Sunday $2.50 per head capped Opal Card fares, to take a walk along the Hawthorne Canal and hopefully collect some of the caches located along the route. Unfortunately the Tram (Light Rail) was out of action today so, after catching a train to Central Station, we had to catch a "rail replacement" bus to the Leichhardt North Tramstop where we were to start our walk. This was the 3rd of 7 finds, plus 2 DNFs, for the day.
Following the path beside the canal we next arrived at this one, quickly uncovering the hide and having CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. The bridge is currently out of action, with barricades erected at both ends to prevent access, so we had to backtrack a little to an alternative canal crossing point (bridge) so as to continue our "cachey" walk. Wohoo! Second cache! My son is loving this! He's on the scooter and I'm running!
Moving house is great. It means i have a new area to find geocaches in. So today i went for a long walk out to the Bay Run and back. Passing some caches on the way to find at another time. All i found along the way were straight forward to find and no pedestrians around which helped. Thanks.
Couldn't be bothered walking around to the new bridge so jumped across the old one. Made it slightly harder since everything overgrown around it.
Found it but ruddy and why is it premium it's easy af premium is shit and maintain ur bloody caches
Found with AF BEE while on a great geocaching vacation. Thanks for placing this cache.
We recently returned from a two week cruise to New Zealand and are now spending a few days in Sydney with our son and his wife (who live in Mackay); out for a caching walk from our motel this morning...nice and quiet over in this section of the park...TFTC!
A sad affair for the cache container. Rubber bands and electrical tape haven't saved this. Log destroyed. TFTC.
A quick find for missmorty after our walk along the canal with all the various breeds of dogs. An interesting area and thanks for the cache.
A new container is needed on this one. Electricians tape is fine once, but doesn't reseal well. TFTC
First time I've cached on the northern side of the harbour and the caches certainly didn't disappoint. Some finds came thick and fast while others took some thinking and at times some retracing of steps. On a cool and at times wet Saturday morning it was such a good day to get out and cache and explore this part of Sydney.
Also visited a heap of trackables I had on board today that Will accompany me to Alice Springs next month for the event being held over Easter.

Another of Rinsemesocks unmaintained caches. He has place so many caches around the place but has not maintained any of them since placing them and to back this up. You will find logs going back to placement day in each and most date back 5-6 years. This was an easy find typical of CO's style.
Andypoo and Ixchesanches thank you for your efforts in prolonging this cache.
It seems this cache may soon disappear from this spot as the beige is closed and will more than likely be demolished.

Lovely little cache without lid for as long as the log reads. Will have to remember ziplock bags next time. Would be great to keep this one going.
Found today with IxcheSanchez, cache has no lid and log is very damaged. We tried to improvise a little but it really needs maintenance.

We know where it is but cobwebs are everywhere and we didn't fancy it... sooks are us!
Well guarded by cobwebs and didn't feel like reaching through but the cache still does exist!
Lovely location . Unfortunately the tin has lost its lid and the log inside has been largely destroyed by water. Hope the CO is able to replace, as its definitely a location worth visiting.
Found this a while ago. Parked nearby and then headed towards the park, having a nice stroll. I used to play some sport near here many years ago. Luckily I was on the correct side of the canal. After a little search I spotted a rusty little box but missing its lid. Lots of scrap paper inside, almost impossible to sign. New cache and log are needed soon. TFTH
