Whoo, that took a bit of effort! Definitely an early morning hunt during snake season. Original cache, worth the work to get in here.TFTC
Interesting history of the area, I wished I had more time to look about.Cache was found quickly, interesting container thats for sure.TFTC
While out with Mitzi123456 during our square dancing weekend we checked out this one. Great style in container. Easy find. Cache in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache 2max
Had to brave the bush for this one. The path had been covered by overgrown ferns, but with high risk comes high reward. I happily found the cache, and what a nice design. Thank you for hiding it. Dropped TB
I like it! Nice hide! Forgot to bring a pen so couldn't sign log... everything inside is lovely and dry considering the crazy amount of rain in the area....
Well what an adventure took the hard way in and the easy way out, great cache very fitting for my 1000th tftc
The last weekend of daylight savings - Time to head away for the weekend to the Latrobe Valley for some exploring, camping and caching with RoamingHowie.
This could have been way harder to get in to had RH not spotted a geotrail of sorts. I’ve not seen a container like this before.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, 2max

It’s road trip time. With plenty of places out east that have yet to be explored, OzHockeyChick and I set off to see some sights in Gippsland.
We decided to chance it and take the shorter track option bc a the road. Turns out the descriptions should be reversed as the track was in great condition.
A short bush bash had us at GZ and the log was in hand not long after.
Thanks 2max for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

In Yarram for geokids dance eisteddfod, thought we would try and grab a few cache while here TFTC
There's going to be one lucky person to who ever finds this cache next. We lost a few items as we made our way to this cache. Some of us ended up with bloody legs but that makes the journey into a story. The cache was soon located signed and replaced tftc
Predictably, I took the more difficult route in to this geocache. It is still waterproof and the logbook is dry even though the container doesn’t seem to have any good seals on it. So I think the container is still working fine.
I expected something different, but this cache reminded me of camp cooking for some reason. Great spot for a cache.
Getting to this caches was a real PITA especially if you a) try to bush bash directly from O'Rourke's Track or, b) try to approach it from the eastern end of the overgrown track! Both of these approaches are "ugly" with lots of stabby, stab, spikey, nettle-like scrubby branches to wound all parts of your anatomy! I think my caching companions learnt a whole new vocabulary with a distinctly blue hue and Mrs B, who wisely remained near the cars, was able follow our progress by listening to the screeching emanating from the bush!
A word of advice to subsequent cachers: "Look for an over-grown track leading off Golf Links Rd and approach the cache from the west if you want to avoid a world of pain!"
TFTC
PS: *What on earth is/was that cache container?* It looks like some kind of thermal, insulated food pot thingummy!

Out with our Caching buddies for a road trip to Tarra Bulga National Park and to pick up some caches along the way. We definitely picked the wrong "track" to approach this cache from. The prickly bushes were horrendous and unavoidable and were blocking our every move. It was Wetjala who was leading the way, and arrived at GZ first to make a quick easy find. Thankfully we found a shorter, less overgrown and more direct track back to the car which is probably the way we should have approached from had we found it. TFTC. TNLN
After listening to the squeals I hung back and decided to look after the vehicles and trusty Wetjala turned up trumps again despite having prickles everywhere.

TFTC. others, .don't be discouraged by the bush there's a track to it. Great idea
A short stroll and we soon had GZ in our sights and the kids made a quick find.
We saw the dug outs here and also noticed the change in vegetation for the day, the kids enjoyed seeing some banksia pods.

Our time in Yarram is coming to a close, for this time at least, and I decided to forget any chores I should have been doing and go out for a geocaching tour before we left instead.
I completely forgot to look for the explosive shelters - I was having too much fun trying out the gaiters I got for Christmas!
Thanks for find #1574

What a great container. The forbidden fruit and the temptation. Yep once tasted you are hooked. Lol. Cache was found in good condition. Nice to be in forrest again even if it on the way back from the beach. Tftc
Found by Mary and David at 15:50. Very dark skies across The Prom, and still very chilly. A great container, of a type we saw many years ago, and more wonderful cache notes. Wattle in full flower nearby, and even a little pink heath as well. Our thanks to 2max.
Camped at Gormandale after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Forty seventh for the day, cache and Contents all good, took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
Up we went, enjoying the view and surrounds and parked happily before wondering how on earth we get in there. Well, we went the super long way around, finding the other end of the path, following it to the cache and then finding the short-way back to the car. Typical. TFTC 2max
Had a lovely day out caching with Mummy Short Legs with the sole purpose of collecting trails in our local area that we hadn't yet been able to seek out.
I've passed by this little cluster of caches many a time but always in work clothes and with a time limit. Today was a great chance to collect, despite the warm weather increasing the risk of wriggle sticks being present. We opted for the 'no muggle' trail in to this one and were rewarded with a slightly overgrown path which, nevertheless, lead us straight to where we wanted to be. Opting to take the alternative route back to the car we realised we should have followed this path to start with! Thanks for the walk and the cache 2max. Container and contents in good condition, with the container interestingly being a replica of the red one I recently cleaned out of my grandmothers home! Never seen one of these before that!

A slight detour on the way back to Paradise Beach from Yarram with a Muggle friend. Once we found or bearings it was a quick find. SL TN Dropped some trinkets for the kids.

We are certain that no one took any notice of us on our walk to GZ. Except for the concrete which may or may not belong to the bunker there is no sign of the original use of the area.

Quick find after negotiating the best route to avoid pickles. Lovely spot with some great history and the container is perfect for the history of the spot. Logbook is mouldy and wet and needs replacing. CO please contact me if your are unable to replace and i will replace for you. Photo near gz. I assume they are drains?
I liked the history of this place and I really loved the container, so appropriate so a favourite point for you
Found today whilst working in the area. Had a spare 5 minutes for a quick find.

Found this one whilst dodging spider webs with NoonaB. I really liked this cache container, pretty cool thanks for the hide
Found today on a caching afternoon with bigrobv. Dodging spider webs as we had at many a cache today! I loved the cache container for this one, it was great. I could see that this would be a great wildflower area at the right time of year too, I may have to come back when they'll be blooming. Thanks for bringing us here, a nice easy find with good coordinates.
Sorry for the generic log but as usual we have limited time and data, we are staying in Yarram for a few days. Something for the whole family here, fishing for Geo dad and son, un cached territory for Geo mum and well Geo daughter just has to tag along with what ever the rest of us do.
We have all spent lots of time in the area over the years, Geo dad the most. Fishing at Port Albert, Manns and McLaughlans on a regular basis.
Today after some fishing in the boat we went for a drive to pick up a few caches.
Was surprised to see other cachers (sometimes two other teams) names ahead of ours.

Last one for the day.. Great little bush bash to finish. Bombs away. Watch out for the prickles. Loved the container. Thanks
