Found after trying a few false items; changing from my iPad to my gps improved my accuracy and then had it in hand. TFTC
Today we found this cache easily. The cache is not burned or gone. I took a picture as evidence and can uploaded if needed, but I don't want to spoil. Very clever cache.

Didn't find it - area has been cleared by machinery in the last 24 hours. Cache may not be there now?
[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there jan.lotz. We found your cache "Harbour View" at 12:22:45 PM today.
This was our 4th cache find in a caching run of 7 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9677.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was primarily to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached, (which has been going since New Years Day 2014.) Our "next closest" route took us to some wonderful & scenic locations.
The "May Require Swimming" attribute is a little misleading given the cache location (and should be removed). This meant that the cache didn't get loaded into our GPS, and we would never have known it was there if a nearby cache hadn't made reference to this one.
Once that was sorted out, we thoroughly enjoyed the cache and have given it a favourite point for ingenuity.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.[font=Verdana]

First one this morning before we head south.
I searched for the cache while hubby searched his vehicle for the appropriate weapon, which, once acquired, was no longer required. Thanks for replacing the cache

Didn't happen for me today. Checked by a previous finder and a photo with the last log confirms that its not there.
Found what looked like the cache, the area we found it in was all burnt up. Inside was a roll of burnt paper and a paperclip so I'm assuming it was the cache.
Very clever great find best find we've had thanks for a great cache team freckle
Took awhile to find our way into this spot and then spotted it straight away. T.F.T.C.
What s great view snd a great little hide. I realized where it would be however it took the Reluctant Companion to grab the goods. Quite a few muggles but we enjoyed this immensely . TNLN TFTC
11:45:00 AM. A wet and windy day and the surfers were out in force in the slop. The cache was a quick find thanks to the hint. Thanks jan.lotz.
Walked up and down, round and round and just could not find it. Had us buggered
Awesome awesome camo! Thanks for putting the time and effort in to making this cache!
Nice cache very clever camo had tried to do this one last time I was on mackay but for some strange reason was unable to find the way in. Found it easily this time. And soon had the cache in hand. Well done TFTC.

The view was great from here. In fact, while I was looking for the cache, a news reporter and camera man showed up and filmed a short piece with the ocean in the background. Wonder if it ever made the news?
Wandering around GZ I soon spotted something that looked a little different, and sure enough it was the cache container.

Our first cache in my home town of Mackay and we brought my Dad along to show him what geocaching is. The GPS was spot on and we all had a pretty good idea of what the cache was from the hint but it was my Dad who saw it first. Interesting area but the beach was looking pretty rough today. Thank you for a good cache
I took the scenic tour through some of the more industrial bits of Mackay this morning
Ahhh !! The noise, the big bits of machinery scattered around, the warning signs, the brightly coloured worker's clothes.
So much to take in on such a short drive
Dodging the [red]NO ENTRY[/red] signs I arrived at the beach
Well the cache should be hidden around here somewhere [:o]
So I sat down in the shade to read the clues !!
Ah yes !!
Well that makes it easy
And what a neat hide [^]

We parked and before we get out, GPS made beep But there where a lot of muggles around. So we readed the hint and we could do only a quick grip...
Found this nice hide and then went down to the beach for a paddle. Our GPS struggled to get us to this location. It wanted to send us through some locked gates and even when we were 150 metres from GZ it was still trying to get us to do a U turn. Thanks.
Found at 12:07 PM GAFF1. The tide is going out and the beach is so broad here - al lovely view. We thought it was going to be one of those, but it was hard to see from above.
Thanks jan.lotz.
Thanks jan.lotz.
Today we drove to Bucasia and worked our way back to Mackay.
We found a variety of caches, including 3 multi's (our record for mult's in 1 day).
A great hiding spot, found quickly.
Thanks for the cache, jan.lotz.

after striking out at Slade Point with too many people around
grabbed some fish and chips from the harbour and headed around here too try our luck
I used to come out here as a kid quite a bit
when you used to be able to drive through and under the port facilities
no problems here - and I must have been slowly getting my caching eye back in
spotted it - casually had our lunch - and retrieved and signed befor heading back out
cheers & TFTC

A day to spare in Mackay before we head home so why not collect a few smilies.
Just as we stopped for this one the heavens opened up and we had no option but to sit and wait. Fortunately the search was short and we soon had the log signed.
Thanks jan.lotz

# 837 Time again for a C+2M Camp-Cache adventure. We went north last time so decided to head south this time, with the hope of getting a couple of the littoral caches. We also had some other planned adventures as well.
After last night Littoral scramble over razor rocks with no shoes, no one was in the mood for long walks (or walks at all) so DIDO caches were the order of the day.
An easy find, but I really like the cache container, so we will give you a Fav point for planting the seed of a couple of our future hides.

After finding a cache at the northern beaches, we came out to the harbour to have a look for this one. It has been a loooooonnnnnggggg time since I came to this side of the harbour. In fact, the last time I was on this side was before they put in the marina!
Thankfully geowife figured out which roads to take as I had no idea. She parked and I said that the cache was about 5m away from her chosen spot. After waiting out some muggles returning from the beach, some others arriving and yet another who was mowing, we had a look. The car next to us had left and we searched where they had parked as that is where the GPSr said to. After a moment, I looked back to where we were parked and I saw the cache right in from of our car.
Thanks for the cache jan.lotz Thankyou as well for bringing me to this side of the harbour
Cheers

Came to try and seek the cache on a Saturday night fish and chips run to the harbour. With all of us looking with torches we couldn't find it in the dark. Splinters and hunger got the better of us. Came back Sunday morning and spotted it in about a second (our fastest find ever if you don't count the reconnaissance trip the night before). Another great cache jan.lotz. Enjoyed the view from the beach. TFTC.
read logs carefully and cache was soon in hand.Geopartener was surprised at the nice beach Tftc
Thanks for this one it is a spot that I had never seen. Nice hide. Found while on a geocache day with the geokids
Found whilst down at the harbour having some fish & chips.

arriving at GZ I had to have a rethink, no problem, we found it easily and had to return to car to get a pen. then it happened cars came from everywhere, dogs and owners returning from their walks. we just had to wait it out to return cache to its hiding place. all done it was time to get the groceries and head home.
Found it.On a lovely day to view the harbour views. The memories I have of The Mackay Harbour area as a child and the time I spent here growning up are fond ones.It has changed dramatically and to be honest I prefer it the way it was 20 years ago, although I know things must move on.
The cache was found quickly and easily with no 16mm spanner needed,as we have seen quite a few hides like this before.

Loved this hide, what a great idea. First time I have seen it, but I am inspired to give it a try myself . TFTC, we enjoyed eating our lunch here whilst looking out over the harbour.
Found on our Qld adventure trip around the tourist spots of Mackay.
I have seen a few of these so I spotted it quickly, thankfully.
Great views from here & we went down to the beach for a wander too.
TFTC, and cheers from way down south of NSW.
Roostaman.

A joint FTF with Team Packet Storm.
I was in the shops when the email came through. "Cool, let's go" I thought. A few minutes later and we were at the beach when the battery died !!
Team PS saved the day with their GPS and the hunt started. Soon the magic words " found it" were heard and a clever hide it was too.
TFTC and view of this great beach.

Rocked up, jumped out of the car with the GPS. As soon as we did Cache Quest [ZA] jumped out saying there GPS had gone flat. 4 sets of eyes now searching for the cache, we soon had it in hand!
Nice to meet you Cache Quest
