Off for a day of finding the last of the NHL series, this cache was on the way to one of them. It was a bit of a climb to GZ, but not bad at all really and the views were well worth it! Cache was an easy find with good co-ords . TFTC nstreet83 - GJMMelb
The first time I visited this spot, some people were having a picnic nearby; I guess it is a very nice view. Today, the space was empty, and it gave me plenty of time to find this cache. My GPS was pointing me one way and the hint another. Guess which was correct?! Thanks for placing this cache here!
A small break between other activities so headed out for a few caches along the track. A nice walk and a few Roos about. Generally no issues with the finds and signing duties all done. TFTC
Most impressive SPS I've ever seen . very overcast morning will the sun shine today. I enjoyed seeing a few kangaroos out and about while I grabbed this cache.
Having successfully failed to find the track marked on the map when discovering the previous Ghost Tree cache, I did manage to find a faint footpad between that cache and this one. Some faded pink ribbons on the trees helped in tracing the way. After a little while everything opened up for a clear final section before hitting the Granite Track and a simple walk to the cache. At the top the cache was easily found and the nice view was enjoyed. TFTC
Change of plans today. I was intending to go down Berwick way to do a bit of caching today but when I reached the BP there was parking available so there was the opportunity to find the two caches across the road. It was a lovely walk and the nicely hidden cache was soon in hand. Thanks nstreet83 for the cache.
Today, myself, Cooper from fisherfamfive and AdamW headed out to Lysterfield Lake Park with the main goal of completing the whole NHL series, with some extra caches along the way too. We had just enjoyed some lunch at the nearby BP, and after seeing the hill that awaited us we made the tough trek up to GZ (not our first today and definitely not our last!). Two spots presented themselves once we got there and luckily I found the cache in the second one. Tftc nstreet83
Out on the bikes for a very big day of caching with CammJT and AdamWickenton; starting bright and early at 9am and finishing up at 4:30pm, covering a total of about 30 kilometers, with the main goal of completing the NHL series, and collecting a couple others on the way. Number 24 of the afternoon, after replenishing our fuel at the nearby BP, we made our way over to the northside of Wellington Road to finish off the NHL series. This one was on the way to our next find, and we thought it would be rude not to pick it up while we were here. After our trek up the hill, the cache was found shortly after. Tftc nstreet83
While doing the NHL series we continued further on to locate this cache and sign the logbook.
Such a lovely walk especially as the weather was perfect for hiking. Roll on spring.
Thanks nstreet83 for the placement.

I was in the area collecting a few caches and this was my last of the morning. Thank you for bringing me here. A fav point from me for bringing me to this amazing area and view.
Spent an hour on a lovely autumn day to do a bit of caching and walking in Lysterfield
Track walking, bush bashing, road walking, roo tracks and rock outcrops added to the fun
Cache was found in good condition. Log signed and returned as found before moving on
Many thanx to nstreet83 for the cache and ongoing maintenance

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to nstreet83 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Well we found the geocache while on a ride… so figured we better find out the actual geocache since we found it accidentally
Whilst caching in the Lysterfield area today we came across this cache as we walked the tracks. Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks nstreet83 for the cache.
It was a lovely walk up "Dragon" Track, then along Granite Track, following the ridge. Lots of interesting boulders for the little ones to climb on, plus great views of the hills and the city. Being a first cache adventure for the little ones (team HappyRacoon), there was was much discussion of "how much further to the treasure?", with much fun had along the way. Finally we drew near and I nudged them in the right direction -- the cache was to hand before I arrived! Quick learners. We swapped some swag and listed everyone's names in the log, then replaced as found. TFTC.
The rain held off long enough for me to climb the hill and retrieve the well concealed cache.
Signed and replaced.
Thanks

Time to head home from this road trip. Stopping along the way in Bunyip, Garfield and a few other spots as well as a late afternoon check in at Lysterfield.
A great spot up here at the top of the hill. The cache was found sitting out in the open on one of the rocks. After signing the log I hid it a little more discreetly.
Thanks nstreet83 for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

After an errand in Bayswater this morning we made an impromptu decision to go for a walk at Lysterfield to collect some puzzle caches and this traditional. It was a lovely view from gz and the cache was found in great condition.
Thanks for an enjoyable cache.
Thanks for an enjoyable cache.
What an absolutely beautiful place. Thanks for bringing me here. Gorgeous views all around and I do believe I did a night cache with a group around this area awhile ago. It’s a lovely cool cloudy day and I’m really enjoying myself.

Went for a late night walk to see the view from up here and grab a cache while I was at it. As always there were plenty of roos watching as I walked by.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
This is one of those look around and see what’s still green on the map and realise it’s going to be a very late log! Really enjoyed discovering the ‘other’ side of Wellington Rd. TFTC
Found! Love introducing geocaching to clients so much fun. Beautiful view at the top here, well worth it
Beautiful views, well worth the walk up the hill past the dead kangaroo. Can see the city from this knoll
Out at Listerfield again hoping to turn more of the caches in the area into smileys . Its a great sunday morning for a walk . Parked the car at the service centre then trudged up the hill. Wow , the views are stunning at GZ . Wandered around a bit then found the cache. All in good nick.
Thanks nstreet83.
Thanks nstreet83.
Out caching for the day, I decided to stop and try my luck at this one. Unfortunately a tiger snake has taken up residence at the cache.
Finished up here after playing some NHL hockey in the area with McLookers.
Clever wording in the cache description made for a quick find.
How did these large rocks get here? They're not erratics, so there's been some surprising weathering and erosion around here.
Thanks nstreet83.

Out on a night caching run with Crustyvarmint, we headed up the steep hill with the wind blowing a gale. After admiring the great views, Crusty made the actual find.
Thanks nstreet83. Beautiful area.
Thanks nstreet83. Beautiful area.
After logging the nearby multi with Knight_shift, we climbed up the hill where the wind was quite cold. We quickly located the cache, signed the log, looked at the pretty lights, and headed back down to the cars. The view from here must be magnificent in daylight.
Thanks nstreet83.
Thanks nstreet83.
Found on a pleasant winter's morning. Decent climb to get up here. A quick find and in good condition.
Thanks nstreet83 found with Jimmytherat. Great walk & nice hide. A favorite for the 360 degree views. Fabulous!
TFTC nstreet83. What a lovely day for the fabulous views!! Jimmytherat with Noelle04
Morning walk around the Lysterfield tracks to catch up the NHL series before very hot day in the afternoon. Nice and found. Thanks nstreet83 for placing the cache
Awesome hike up here from Wellington rd car park. We all ran up to the knoll from the big downhill... heartbeats going full hammer now. Beautiful here thanks.
On our way up one of the many steep hills on the north side of the highway, my caching companion had already found this cache so it was left to me to discover. Soon found and logged. We also found plenty of roos lounging around at GZ checking us out.

Awww geez, it looks like I neglected some logs from when I went out and did the lyrebird track challenge........ that is very unlike me. Either way just trying to catch up on my end after completing my 3rd-year exams and getting all the logs up to date for the mega event. Anyways thanks for the cache and the adventure.
TFTC. the min focus for my last day in Melbourne before flying back to Bundaberg was to complete the NHL series on the north side of Wellington Road. After completing the last 2 on the south side it began to shower. I was back at the car and waited it out. When the shower stopped off I went in search of the final 8. had to walk passed this on the way back to the car. So stopped for a quick simple find.
Out and about early this morning, and we may have taken the hill too quickly in the very cold air, as our leg muscles seized up. We found the cache under the watchful eyes of some Roos. Some had babies so we were a bit careful.
Thank you for bringing us here nstreet83! Great view!

Great views and thanks for the tip on the car parking spot too. No problems with the cache.

My partner took me on an evening walk after a difficult day. We walked up the hill to the sunset and had a nice moment before I remembered to check for caches. Found this one in the dark with the help of a torch watching out for spiders. Lovely place for a cache and thanks to the person who left the red pencil as I couldn't find my pen!
Apologies for the late log. My family were away on a trip to New Zealand so I planned a few evening excursions to cache after work. Very enjoyable but backing up day after day was starting to catch up on me! I had the bike on the car and headed here straight from work in Frankston. The plan tonight was a second batch of the NHL puzzles and some others along the way. This was a traditional cache that I came across as I started a loop north of Wellington Road. Plenty of kangaroos to be seen over this side and I managed to spot the cache pretty quickly too. My first of eleven finds on a very pleasant evening to be riding my bike around this park. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache nstreet83.
So close to this one while doing a night cache. Thought I would knock it over while here. Tftc tnln
Final find for father and 13yo on a gorgeous Sunday morning. By this stage we had spent more time off bikes than on, with some off-trail searching, signing of earlier logs, and some bits that were just too steep for us. So with this cache found and the log signed, we pinned our ears back for thefin downhill stretch to the car. Thanks to all the owners for opening up this part of Lysterfield Park; final wildlife tally one wallaby, two troops of Roos, three thousand butterflies, and one lyrebird heard but not seen!!
