#6277Travelling from Casino to Tweed Heads today and grabbing some caches as we went. This was one of them.I found the coordinates to be about 12m out for this one. A previous photo helped me pinpoint which tree I needed to be at.Thanks for the geofun.
Avenging my DNFs is not a common thing, but I had two other caches that brought me close. I blame the copious amounts of water here last time, but today the GPSr led me to completely different spot and a quick find.
Continuing a walk around the wetlands, we found this one as we were leaving. Thanks for the cache. All in good order. Cheers
With the motorhome into the countryside of NSW.Our destination was a cycle tour along the new Northern Rivers Rail Trail. We parked our motorhome in Bentley Car Park and then cycled along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail to Casino and back. On the way we had a lot of fun with the interesting signs, the great nature, the adventure caches and all the other caches.Afterwards we searched for many more caches in Casino. Thanks to all owners for showing us the interesting locationssayTeam sissifalke
Up for the Casino Dawn Service. My cousin was a previous finder of this cache. Easy find, the prickly bit was easily overcome. Tftc.
Found the cache fairly quickly thanks to some helpful previous logs. Wetlands walks seem a bit neglected, sadly. TFTC
Need a cache for the day. Lovely evening for an easy find. Quite prickly really. Quiet spot this afternoon. TFTC
While staying in Casino for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , we just had to get out and find a few caches in this beautiful country town ...All Good .. TFTC ..
Staying at Coraki, before heading to the daughters in Grafton.
Thanks Fergclan for the caches.
Total Cache Finds 14331,
Thanks Fergclan for the caches.
Total Cache Finds 14331,
This was the second cache that myself, Ravenclaw2480 and my sister found today, we had to brave the prickles to find it!
I was in Casino for the day with my daughters. There were some chickens in the picnic area near the miniature railway. We found a likely area to start looking for the cache. Smorefiya came up with the goods. Our second find for the day. Thanks for the cache Fergclan
#81 easy find have always wanted to find a cache like this saw them on the geocaching online store. Looks like it’s environment. If it wasn’t for the plastic bag I would not have found it. But I put the plastic bag back in the cache to protect the log. Someone can take the bag out and put it there if they want. Photo below is very far from it.
Scratched around the obvious hiding place and soon uncovered a typical container. TFTC
Back home and replaced this one, yes it had been vandalised so replaced it not under the rock for a while but behind it,and guess what someone mowed in a fashion round the track, awesome.
Better disable this at the moment it seems to be in trouble and I’m away for a week.
The most obvious site looks like it has been muggled and the site torn up. Maybe next time, thanks for the walk!
Been to Dayboro from Cairns to attend the Mega, quick trip to Sth. Australia now turned tail and heading slowly back up north. 4 June 2021 3:23 pm Tyfc Fergclan total caches now 2152
This weekend, I headed south to NSW to Lismore and Casino on Saturday, followed by Springbrook National Park on the Gold Coast on Sunday, meeting different geocaching groups on both days.
Today, I started finding a few geocaches in Lismore before joining Beardman75 and georode in travelling to Casino. Our focus today was the *Ferg Loves Puzzles* series, and we managed to find a few others in and around the township of Casino, before departing around 15:00 hr back to Lismore. I then took the solo journey to stay the night at Robina, travelling via Goolmangar, Coffee Camp, Nimbin, Blue Knob, Mount Burrell, Uki, and Murwillumbah. A long day out and about!
We were nearby completing the puzzle series when we thought we would call into these wetlands. We made a park, and quickly found the cache once at GZ. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It was nice to have found a new logbook due to its recent maintenance/replacement. Thanks Fergclan for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We followed faint traces of a geotrail to the hide and made a quick find. Thanks for the cache
A new day in Casino and the thrill of buzzing around town finishing off the “Ferg loves Puzzles” caches, collecting a few others as I passed by and then hopefully start the “Northern Rivers FTF hounds” before heading back to Brisbane. After last night’s huge storm and lightning display, the morning greeted me with a thick fog. It wasn’t till about 9 o’clock before the blue skies appeared and a warm day continued.
I guess it is called the wetlands for a reason but after last night’s rain it was very wet down here today. The cache was spotted very easily and the log signed. I replaced the cache as found and continued on my way. thanks for placing this one here.

Taking a little jaunt over the border, turning a few caches into smilies along the way. Touring Casino before heading back north, finding a few solved puzzles and experiencing everything this lovely town has to offer

Spending the day in Cacino before attending a rally in Kyogle, unrelated to geocaching. A quick find at a quiet parkreserve No trains today. TFTC.
No spare logs so signed a leaf!!! Fab Five to the rescue. Very wet from recent floods. TFTC
It seems that Casino is surrounded by one big wetland and we're here now to collect the tribute cache. Good to see the wildlife enjoying the water and the flora turning a healthy green. Cheers Fergclan for keeping this cache active.
Log was super yuck and wet so we signed a leaf and placed that inside the cache container. TFTC!
A fun cache we found over the weekend trip away with friends to save space we signed as The 5. Which consisted of myself JACS Team, Gcoven, TeamARF, EatSleepCacheRepeat and Ardom.
Well, the flooding around here certainly makes this cache live up to its name! TFTC.
Dayboro trip. Day 6. Today I was caching between two counties one either side of Casino. West in the morning to Kyogle, but I did not visit the town and then East to Lismore, but just skirted the edge. The afternoon was spent in Casino doing the Where-i-gos and the Challenge caches. A great day and my last non-Sydney Counties with a find done.
As I began the Where-i-go I came past here. This one came to hand soon enough,. but it is very wet inside the rusty container.
Thanks.

Had a great time with the geokids and a friend!! Her first time geocaching! Got her hooked!! TFTC
This place was living up to its name today. It also was pouring rain when I arrived. The GPSr wanted me to look in an open grassy area - pesky cloud cover. I checked some surrounding spots, but nature was conspiring against me.
Went to replace this one today, but wait, the original was still there, made it so it couldn’t go quite so deep within.
A good look with four sets of eyes today, but no luck here for us.
Thanks Fergclan
