On a mission today to claim the smiley on 'Cache a View' (GC15FB) and thought I might be able to access it from the east also there looked to be a couple of archived AP caches up for grabs en route. Parked up on the powerlines track and walked the well formed path from there.
AlliedOz's pic from 6 years ago narrowed this one down for me and another lonely log uncovered.
Allied Pranksters I found your cache at 11:17am, this was the 2nd of 5 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5809. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

After a find at the last one, surely it could not hurt to venture on a little further & give this one a shot too... Another long forgotten cache found & again in a lovely little spot Now for the long walk back where I came from... Found I should have headed back the way I came but chose a different path & ended up with twice the uphill pain
This little feline had me stumped at first... But there it was virtually in plain view, sometimes you have to put the GPS down when you near GZ and search... Today was one of those days...
Found it with FrogDad. Great walk in to 60' Falls which weren't falling. Very seasonal but I new that before I went in. Great place in spring. Thank you for the cache AlliedPranksters
Decided that today would be the day to finish off the Golden series that I started back in January, and also do a couple of older caches in the area.
Second one of the day was this one. Not sure I took the intended route to this one from Golden Compass ... my route involved a step descent from a point about 400m south-west of the cache. Later, when I did Golden Nest on my way back to the Geo-Camry, I realised that Icould have done that one on the way in if had taken a different route. Not to worry, I got here without incident and found the cache quickly. Nice little hide .
Signed the log and off to the next one. Thanks for the hide Allied Pranksters.

Continuing up the hill from Plank the GPS was playing a few games here, but eventually it settled down and I spotted the hide. Thanks for the walk and the cache Allied Pranksters!
I headed out this morning with my brother-in-law who wanted to do a bit of a walk in preparation for doing some of the Bibb track. The plan was to walk from Ellis Brook across to Mills Rd doing caches along the way. An enjoyable walk but somewhat disappointing caching finding only 9 of the planned 13 caches with 3 DNF's and one we couldn't access due to a fence and locked gate. Thankfully this cache was one of the ones we did find. TFTC.
It was a bit warmer today than we expected it to be but we carried on to this one. We couldn't quite work out the name of the cache it wasn't til now I realised I had wrote Golden Duck but even so we still don't get the Lion. Non the less after finding and signing log we were on our way to to just one more. Thanks Allied pranksters for the hide.
Wow such a beautiful day could not pass without some caching.
We picked out this area as there are several caches we have not found yet that looked like they were all close to a well-defined path / dirt road, the ruler tool on Google earth told us it would be a 4 km round trip for the 6 caches we had in our sights, sunscreen was liberally applied before leaving home as it was one of the sunniest days we have had for some time.
We parked within throwing distance of AP 388 Golden Compass and once we had got all our supplies together and secured our car we started out looking forward to the walk, enjoying the weather and the bonus of caching.
Only one more after this one, then a bit of a walk back but it has been a great walk and we have loved it.

Track mushy underfoot after the recent rains but a great day today to be out attacking this series. Agree with Everlasting that terrain rating should definitely be higher. Still we had no trouble locating the novel container. Thanks AP
Teaming up with the Richlink and ILuvTrekking for another great day off geocaching. The weather was beautiful after continues raining for the last couple of months. Plenty of water flowing down from the hill with lots of over flowing streams. We found GZ quickly and signed the log.TFTC
Found with richlink and Jacobscrew on a perfect day for caching, enjoying the walk in the beautiful bushland. Thanks Allied Pranksters
A caching day for Mrs Felix and Everlasting had been in the making for a week. Geez it is really hard to find somewhere that we 'both' havent already found some caches. After logging in under both our names and purveying the map 3 options were chosen. This area was actually the 3rd on the list but managed to clamber it's way to the preferred area. and top of the list.. How Im not sure [?]
We always knew this area was going to be a challenge. Pretty sure that's why we both had it on the unfound list. Anyway after reading the previous logs we decided on an 'achievable' route. 1 car parked this side and the other over near Mills Rd East.
WooHoo this is all good a cute cache and a swift find. Great Series.
Didn't take us long to find the cache once at GZ and logged our find here at 1.43pm

Keep follow the trail - mud, clay etc Terrain 1.5 ???? didnt think so... Signed the log at 13:42 with FelixII. Thanks AP
Perfect climbing rocks; even with second rate sneakers there was adequate grip. We found a nice smooth rock to eat a little snack before continuing the journey. Thanks for the cache.
From one golden treasure to another. Thanks for the cache Allied Pranksters. This proved a great place to rest on a smooth rock for a late lunch.
We had noticed a tempting string of caches sweeping upwards from the carpark and thought that today would be an appropriate time to take a stroll through the hills gently plucking a few caches as we passed. Afterall they are only 1.5 star rated, Right? Reality take here. After grabbing a few trevkevred caches on the way we continued along the Golden series here. this series of caches really require a much higher star rating to reflect the surface and elevation changes encountered. Nice one! This was the nineth of eighteen finds for the afternoon. TFTC Allied Pranksters
Out for a day caching with my sister who made a quick find. The location was absolutely stunning with a gorgeous view of the wildflowers which are in full bloom at the moment. Also a lovely walk to this cache and onto the next in the series. A favourite point from me, TFTC!
Fifth cache on my walk today. Found without problems.
Thanks Allied Pranksters for the cache.
Thanks Allied Pranksters for the cache.
Picked up the cache on the return leg of our walk. We thought it would take forever to find a nano, but we spotted the hiding spot after a small search. Love the cache! Thanks.
Started at the bottom of Mills Rd East, headed along the Tonkin before heading off to Ellis Valley and the start of the Golden series. Pretty hot run today.
I stopped at the bottom of the valley and changed from my road running shoes to my spiked ones. They are not too good on these rock surfaces !!

Out and about with trevkevred and the 3 geohounds today to find some gold...here we found a golden deck and a little cache
We had another rest here and some lunch and Me was in heaven
This is a lovely area to walk in, especially this time of the year with all the wildflowers in bloom.

Out caching with Me&B and my 2 geodogs who were loving it as I've now got a car again to take them out. This was an easy find as we read the info before we got there. We left our bags and walked up to the cache. Me was so excited with the location and I had to take photos of her in her favourite place. TFTH Allied Pranksters.
[:(!] Went for a day of caching in the Ellis Brook Valley Reserve, arrived at GZ and after a couple of minutes of searching I finally had the cache in hand. SL TFTC/TFTH
Golden ~ another tremendous bush series from the Pranksters. After overnight rain what could be more enjorable than walking through the wet bush on slippery tracks looking at all the wild flowers in full blossom. Parked near Golden Compass and the round trip took 3 ½ hours with sightseeing and also grabbing Lady Bird.
I really liked this one, the Pranksters has a thing for sun decks.
Thanks Allied Pranksters. Favourite for the cache and series.

When this series was published mum was out so i rang her up and she told me we would discuss it when she got home and as i had the day off from school i thought this would be a great walk. I was soon on my way towards Golden plank walking up an incline and working my through the series from there.
I spotted the hiding spot for this one immediately but it started to rain so putting it back became difficult
Sorry for the extremely late logging ShortcutHicksy
Thanks for the series
