Back in Albury again, but this time I brought family. klbooth, Landyman123, Pinkducks and Legoman9494 are out from England for Summer. Apparently this is better than their summer. I wanted to finish off this series while I could, so today's efforts was to hike from the cows to Maccas (teenagers understand such destinations).
Not Gone.
Not at all. Not at ground level, but nicely placed and in fine condition. It wasn't wet, nor even overly damp.

I walked past the hideyspot to investigate further on but the geoson was having a good look and found it in an obvious spot.
Log signed the 4B's to include Landyman123, Pinkducks, Legoman9494 and myself.
All in good order, thanks for the cache!!!

After a day's traveling from Echuca to Wodonga for work. Settled into nearby hotel and went for a cool evening walk to get some NO not Pokemon go's but some GEOCACHES lol.
2nd attempt today, and found it but didn't sign the log, as it was wet and mushy inside. It also needs to be put back properly I didn't have pliers to undo you wire to tie it back on but clipped it on instead. Tftc

We are spending two weeks in Wodonga, house-sitting for our daughter. Today I had an hour or so free before setting off to collect her from the airport so I decided to try for a few more HCRT caches.
The final cache of the day followed the same pattern as the rest. Park close to the cache and make a quick and easy find.
The cache was in good condition. We signed the log and replaced the container as found.
Thanks The Trail Crew for the cache.

Had just abandoned my vehicle for the day to be serviced, so driving a strange courtesy car I made a stop, and a quick dash across the road to sign this cache TFTC The Trail Crew
Found while exploring the trail as a possible riding destination during the NSW school holidays. Mini Rose and I explored while the other geoscouts were at the Albury Gangshow practise hence we searched in the dark and were delighted with the find especially this hide though my geo-daughter was hoping to find a real bison or at least a silhouette of one. . We enjoyed walking along the bike trail in the dark and finding the caches by torchlight. Thanks for the cache on the tail, we will be back to ride along the trail.

Travelling around Australia, waiting out the Easter rush at Lake Hume with Smokie5054.
With a traumatic day of yesterday behind us. Today Mrs Felix dropped Mr Felix and Mr Smokie up at the Army Cinema to ride back to camp at Huon Reserve.
Long, casual day riding, in perfect weather and great company arriving home just in time for happy hour...... perfect day.

A long weekend and another trip with the geo 'rents and geobro'. What a cool way to spend Easter
Headed for Albury for 2 nights and then Bendigo for 1 night and we took each day as the caches came. A turn here, a turn there, a dirt track here and there and miles and miles of bitumen [^]
LOL, I've just seen one of geobro's cache logs and it reads very much like mine
Although he forgot to mention that he not so kindly shared his viral germs with geomum and I! [xx(]
Today (day 2) I found 76 caches and had 4 DNFs
We did note that it was a shame that so many of the log books were either full or in a sad state.
I'm sorry but I didn't have spare logs with me to have been able to refresh them.
Without our pushbikes and not having a horse, we were left doing these caches on Shank's Pony
We managed to find a few of this series in this pretty area with great views before geobro decided that he was starving and he neded food ....one day he will learn to bring snacks with him
So we left the rest and headed off to find breakfast and lunch
Most of these were easy finds with just a few sneaky, tricky cache hides thrown in and they all added to the enjoyment of our day

We're off on a four day geofamily (Geodad: moneydork, Geomum:Tounga, Geosis: locus cache and geobro: ME) road trip adventure heading to Albury and Bendigo. A lot of miles were covered, many sights seen, lots of laughs, mirth and merriment during the trip. Oh, we found a few caches along the way as well.
A quick find on the HCRT.
Thanks for the cache The Trail Crew.

Locuscache, Sushilord, Mrs Dork (Tounga) and I decided to explore Victoria and during the Easter long weekend.
We enjoyed visiting Lake Hume but only didn't a few of the series as we were caching by car rather than by bicycle. We intend to return and complete the series, ideally by bicycle sometime in the future, TFTC.

TFTC. Did this cache as a park and grab. It had been a very hot day and the MH had been in for service. After collecting the vehicle we looked for a straight forward cache to keep up out find streak at least for the next week. Moving on to Huon Reserve tomorrow and hopefully will be able to cycle in the morning before the heat sets in. Well that is the plan.
Nice easy one, had to wait until all the muggles wandered by before signing the log
Geo junior found this quick little hide on the way home from work.
Thanks The Trail Crew for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

#1743 Today being a rare cooler day we brushed the cobwebs off the geobikes and hit the rail trail starting at Bandiana and turning around at Huon doing every second cache along the way. In total we racked up about 44kms and 51 caches and hopefully rode off some Christmas pudding.
This was the last find, and it was a little painful having to ride past the geocar after doing some many kms on the geobike to search for this one. Nearly gave up the search for this one after a thorough search, but Mr BGF managed to spot something that led to the cache. Very well hidden! Tftc and series Trail Crew, time to hunt for some dinner.

Today is our second day in Wodonga. Last time we were in the area we attempted most of the HCRT series from the Tallangatta end. Hopefully we will be able to complete the trail from the Bandiana end before we leave.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt,

late night find! adorable find. almost gave up - not too sure what 'bison' had to do with it hahah.
Found with the lovely Logan Geocaching group after an eventful day! Thanks for the incredible cache!
Out caching this morning with The Storm Man. Beautiful day. Was able to get the start of this awesome trail done. Nice quick finds all the way. Thanks for the series.
Out with Joelisa for one more day to hit some more caches. Left at 7.30am and headed into Albury. Very successful morning and lots of fun too. It wasn't too hot as well which made the trip even better. unfortunately we didn't have any bikes so we had to drive/walk this one. Took a bit longer but was still a really nice trail. Just scratched the surface of this one before we had to leave. Tftc
Coordinates are a bit off, but we found it either way, cute little hide!

Found on our journey back from the Mega in Stanthorpe. We hoped to avoid some nasty weather and put a dent in the HCRT series even if we couldn't complete it this trip.
A nice early start and a big breakfast and we headed in the other direction towards Wodonga. Time for some morning tea I think.

Found with Snickersallan, Fit02 and Muggle buddy. Planning on completing the Power Rail Trail today
Came down from the Gold Coast to especially do this great series, it was a great riding track and quite scenic and all caches were great to find and all in good order. Found with Bluewattle and TFTC
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Went for a little walk along the track to get this one after a big day of shopping, good way to relax a little before the drive home. TFTC
I had recently purchsed a new bike so this trail was going to be its test today as I set off from Bandiana with this series in mind. In the end I went as far as the other side of Sandy Creek bridge and had a ball. I think I found 61 caches in this series without a DNF plus a few other assorted caches on the way. I moved my car along to some of the reserves to save a long ride back and that plan worked perfectly. The caches are in great order after all this time. No reptiles were found apart from the ones you are aware of .
Thanks trail crew for this sereis and I will have to return to do the remaining 45 another day..

This was the first along the rail trail for me today with the view to knocking out this section to save time tomorrow. It took a few moments to hone in on the find but I finally found it at 11:00 after a short search. One down, umpteen to go.

Spent the day in Albury area today caching while the missus worked nearby. With bike in the car I decided to tackle the rail trail in the short time I had 0 by car and bike.
Quiet the warm day and no sunscreen and little water- glad I didn't attempt the whole trail in one day!
Really enjoyed the section I did today and each of the hides were in interesting areas and were able to be spotted and signed quickly. Thanks Trail crew for a fantastic power trail!
Quick park and grab.

Yes! A long weekend! Time to get out of the Can and go on a geomission around Aubury-Woodonga with Rapidlywild and FurfacesLL #1
This was the beginning of the line for us. We decided to tackle the trail from the end so we could work our way back to Wodonga and then home to the hotel. So with our strategy in place, the geo-assault squad was assembled and ready to go!
With a lovely sunny day, FurfacesLL #1 and I went off on the bikes, whilst Rapidlywild drove the geomobile support vehicle to meet up with us at points along the trail and continue on foot. Most of the caches were quick finds and we loved the variety of containers to keep things interesting We were well and truly geostuffed by the end, but the sense of accomplishment of completing the entire 43km trail in one day was worth it! So with sore butts, tired legs and feet, off we all went to find some food and then back to the motel for hot showers and a well deserved sleep!
Apologies for the mostly generic logs for the caches in between the first and last of the caches in the trail-but I am sure the CO's understand
Thanks so much for placing the caches to create this great series, The Trail Crew. I had a great day out and enjoyed cycling alongside the river. Another fave point from me!

Headed to Albury this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild and specimenX.
Today was the day to attack the HCRT trail, not starting out as early as we should have this was going to be interesting to see if we would actually completely finish it. SpecimenX and myself on the bikes and Rapidlywild in the geomobile.
This trail was indeed a lovely ride with some great company and chatter to take our minds off some slight inclines along the way but we were also rewarded with some really stunning views.
The torches have now been deployed to travel by and search for the caches.
Another one ticked off on our journey, logging duties performed and then on our way again.

Well the weekend was upon us and the planned Geomission with specimenX and FurfacesLL in Albury/Wodonga was here
We had been planning this weekend for sometime now and had been busy solving puzzles in preparation for the weekend. We spent the weekend doing the HCRT trail, some of the HSS series and some surrounding areas.
Officially day 1 of the attack on Albury/Wodonga area. Today we had plans to attack the HCRT Trail via pushbike and collect some random ones along the way also.
FurfacesLL and specimenX went off on the pushies while I went off in the geomobile to meet them at certain locations and continue the trail on foot. Logging duties completed and on we went.
Thanks for the cache The Trail Crew

I joined forces with J+J.au and Wilbert67 to make our mark on the caches in this area. This was a great excuse to get on the bikes and enjoy this well configured series. Over the four day weekend we found some great caches showing us some fantastic locations and others challenging our geocaching skills. Thanks to all the cache owners for making this a great trip and thanks to my off-siders for the company. SL.. TFTC

Hot day today, start ride a bike, great enjoyed on the trail easy one along to end in the line... Easy to find as very well hide thanks
Last hcrt. Thank you so much for the series, great bit of exercise, history, scenery and lots of caches.
Day four of our post Christmas / pre New Year trip... taking our new tent trailer for a test run, weather was very hot and humid. Our travels are taking us up to Ettamogah and across to Old Tallangatta before returning home.
Visiting many towns along the way, taking the Geo wife to places she has never been before, and giving our Geo Pug time to sniff out new territories
Did not expect to be seeing constant temps in the high 30's to low 40's... Geo wife got to see her first live black snake on the road in Australia, and I almost stood on a 5 foot brown snake at one cache on the HCRT, and a red back spider at another.
Stayed at some nice FREE camp sites along the way and a couple of caravan parks as well, learned a lot of things along the way, history and more, but in all a great adventure and we were able to clock up our 1000th find along the way ..
thanks to the CO for this cache

I mentioned to some Caching friends my love of caching on my pushbike and asked if they knew of any good trails as I would be without my kids for a week between Christmas and New Year. Code1 put me onto the HCRT and a quick look and the trip was planned. I checked the internet and it seemed camping was available at Ebden reserve right on the trail. When I arrived this was not so! (don’t believe everything you see on the internet!) So I had to settle for a paid campsite at the Boathaven Caravan Park just up the road. After setting up the tent by 7pm on the 27th Dec I got on the bike and decided to get a few nearby. The first one I found was disabled and I soon realised why when I found only the lid of the container! I had better luck from then on. I did 8 on the 27th , followed by about 50 on the 28th (25k out and 25k back in mid 30’s heat nearly killed me!), and the remainder on the 29th. I found nearly all of them but for a few DNF’s that I may come back for one day.
Thanks to the Trail Crew for all the work that goes into setting up a trail like this …… loved it and will recommend it to all cachers.

We had enjoyed our walk along the trail from Old Tallengatta and Tallengatta so much that we decided to make a start on the leg from Tallangatta to Wodonga. Shanks pony was fed and well rested so we were able to make a sizeable impression on this section. Congratulations The Trail Crew for an outstanding series that we will definitely recommend to other cachers. We will endeavour to finish this series either before we leave this trip or on our next visit.
It was quite dark when we reached this cache and as we were hunting a young man approached to see if we were OK. We explained what we were doing and he offered to help. We were soon joined by two of his mates one of whom found the cache. Turned out to be soldiers walking back to barracks after an evening on the town. Caching tip "When having difficulty locating a cache called out the army."

Back on the HCRT trail today & the weather is perfect for the bike ride by Bill & walk for me.
We saw the log caught up on barb-wire. Then noticed the bison on the ground on the other side of the fence. We have replaced it where we presume it goes.
