No longer living in the area so hard to look after this cache that seems to go missing a bit so will archive it to free up this lovely area for someone else.
Couldn't find this one today, found a likely spot were I thought it should be but after a 30 minute search I found nothing, hope it hasn't gone for a walk again
A snake slithered across our path on the way to this cache. Beautiful afternoon for a walk. TFTC
This time I'll call it found
After a DNF last year when the cache was missing, I decide a return trip was needed to get the smilie. A very pleasant walk with the sounds of real planes and model aircraft flying overhead and the echoes of gunshots off in the distance! Thanks for replacing the cache and giving me an excuse to come back here.

I was on my way up to Mt St Leonard via Yarra Glen and I thought this clutch of caches would get me going. On this warm, gray morning, a middle-aged man and his father were walking their dogs exactly where I wanted to go. So I said hello and told them about our silly game. They took great interest and we ended up talking for half an hour. Caching made it happen.

Out and about with Dunko on a separate task, Managed to spare some time to find a few caches. As always an enjoyable adventure with many thanks to Wal-len for the time and effort in placing this cache. TNLN SL
Well today I had to do some errands for she that must be obeyed and because this required a vehicle bigger than I had I asked my caching buddy Slink1 for his assistance. He freely gave is and said Great we’ll get some caches on the way. So off we went doing some caching and doing some errands as well. Many thanks to Wal-len for the cache placement. TNLN TFTC SL.
Nice quick easy one an a beautiful day with the bird chirping and the romote planes and real planes flying overhead.
Nice quite walk, thanks for the cache. The sunset was nice.

Although there seems to be any number of short cuts through this area, I enjoyed the walk around the outside. What a peaceful spot this is. I might come back with my fishing rod.
Signed log. Thanks for the cache Wal-len.

Take the circuit path. Walked through for a 'short cut', not so quicker but cuts were involved... TFTC!
Took wrong path first and had to walk through dry reeds! Was a bad time I suggest you stick to the path! But good cache thanks! First to sign the book
After a couple of DNF's thought I would check on this one and sure enough it was missing, but replaced container so all good now.
couldn;t find this one... didn't want the kids too close to the river as it was high due to rain so leave it for another day
Out with Princess Diala and 3Up heading to Buxton for a car rally and we stopped a few times along the way.
All 3 of us searched High and Low and did not find this one

Well I'll have to call it a DNF! Found a likely looking spot after resorting to the clue and spending 20 minutes hunting, but I just couldn't see it.
This is a lovely walk especially on the first day of spring! A quick find and have left Pixi the Panda travel bug for the next finder.
Out grabbing a few caches in the area. What a great little park to spend some time, watching model planes and doing some bird watching. It was lovely to go for a stroll along the water. Geo junior found cache and SL. TFTC Wal-len.
Found this one today. I was impressed with the park that I had never been to, the walk to the cache and the hide here. There isn't much camouflage here but it probably doesn't matter. I really enjoyed this cache. I signed log but didn't swap anything today.
Thanks for the cache Wal-len.

I went out for a drive in the Yarra Valley with Mrs Crusty and Crusty K9 today. We had a very pleasant time, with a few walks and a few caches. tftc.

Came to the reserve to do a bit of bird-watching so I didn't have my Garmin with me. Before leaving, however, I decided to whip out the phone to see if there were any nearby caches. This was the first of three. I remember coming here years ago with a couple of cachers to find a cache that was hidden in one of the current re-vegetation zones. The nearby model fliers and shooters were in full tilt making it sound as though a swarm of mozzies were being shot out of the air. TFTC Wal-len
On the way back from watching my mate skydive, he, his sister and I searched and found this Geocache. This was an introduction to Geocaching for my mate and his sister so they are still to set up an official account. Nonetheless, log signed and I have included their names (Denis and Linda). Thanks for the cache
For some school holiday fun, I took new geocacher, Elliekay, and our five boys out for a few hours of caching in the Yarra Valley. It was a glorious sunny, hazy autumn day, perfect for geocaching and a picnic. The boys all took it in turns with our phones (love the Geocaching app!), and each of them found different caches. I had not taken any swaps, but the new kids loved the idea of swapping things, so we were raiding both cars to find things worth leaving behind. Thanks to everyone who has hidden caches out here - it was the perfect excuse to get five pre- and teenage boys out from behind their computers.
Saw some frogs while walking to this cache it a nice spot cache was found easily enough TFTC
Some great looking fishing spots along the river here!
Made the find without any problems.

Had an afternoon of caching with essieg, RCFM, lobster6 7, and danozz. We came this park and found four caches, one archived. There were a couple of model aircraft doing acrobatics as we walked back from this one, our second find, thanks Wal-len.
Ducking around the corner towards a trad and an archived puzzle, this was a quick grab by one of the smaller members of the group. Jim used his sixth sense of caching to auto-detect the hiding vessel.
Find #5 for the day...
Out & about with my sister-in-law, Happy Pants (Mrs) whilst collecting some caches around the area prior to attending Spladem's 1000 Event @ Balwyn... This was one of them...
Stopped by, enjoyed the walk and made the straight forward hide...

Found with Niftynevau. The second of three in this park. I was looking on the wrong side of the path while Nifty came up with the goods. Sun started shining and we headed off to find the final one in this area. TFTC
TFTCSL catching a few caches with Berken before dinner in the Yarra Valley! Great spot for walking the dog or watching RC airplanes!
Too many to choice from.
but i soon worked out the cache looking one.

It was a shorter caching day today with a simple goal in mind - reach 50 caches ! This was no 7 of the 9 I needed.
Ahh..now this is more like it ! Something other than a reminder to keep my breath fresh. It was fairly obvious what I would be looking for once I reached the GZ. That said, I did find myself fumbling around in the undergrowth for a while before I turned around and the real hide was staring me in the face.
For some reason, someone has come along and "tagged" the hide for this cache and one of the others in this park. Not sure why and I didn't really notice it until after I had made the find.
Cache is in excellent condition. TNLNSL Thank you Wal-len for a good cache.

Based on the name of this cache I had a pretty good idea on what we were looking for. Enjoyed the walk to GZ and the weather had cleared up fairly well this afternoon. Thanks Wal-len.
Find no. 2 today. Trusting the gps too much on this one led to a slightly extended search. Spreading out the search a little quickly led to GZ. Nice cache in a nice little hiding spot. TFTC! - Heno
We found this cache today at 6:10pm as the 14th of 15 on a lazy Monday Afternoon in the Valley. Nice to revisit this park as we had a cache here ourselves from 2005 to 2011 in fact, this one was only 50m from our cache hide. The place has grown up a heap since then and trees like the one that this cache was hidden were probably not even growing back then. Thanks from D, HA & A B-A.

On another epic cache run today with caching buddy ahomburg. We had run this route before which is Yarra Glen then west towards South Morang and everywhere else in between. A good numbers today with 30 found in total and a few DNFs. An awesome day with a cool start and the forecast rain didn't eventuate so it was a rather nice sunny day at times.[^]
Nice walk along the river to this one with cache soon in hand. A really nice little park. A little cool this morning. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC Wal-len, left blue gem stone. 2nd one of your found today.

On our normal weekend caching run, SedgwickDave and I were first heading towards Yarra Glen, then doing a bit of a loop via Christmas Hills, Kangaroo Ground, Hurstbridge, Yan Yean, Mernda, Plenty and South Morang. It was a cool morning, but most of the afternoon was beautiful and sunny.
Cache number three for the day and we were starting to warm up in the crisp morning weather. I started searching on the wrong side, then Dave pointed to a likely spot and bingo, there it was. Well concealed. The listed Trackables however were not inside.
Thanks again to Wal-Len for the cache. TNLN.

#1281 6th of 9 for an afternoon's caching on a beautiful Spring day. Really enjoyed the walk around here - lots of pretty little birds. Our dog would've loved it but we left him in the car as he'd had enough walking for his old bones today. River was high and reasonably fast flowing. Left a TB (Las Palmas Jewelery). Thanks once more Wal-len.
Found at 2:02 PM GAFF5 in the company of Rebel Acts & geoge. The last of te trio out here and watching the river flowing - gosh it is high and fast at the moment.

Sixth of ten finds for the afternoon in the company of Ppass and Geoge. This was a nice walk to GZ where we soon had the cache in hand, the river sure was flowing high. TFTC

Got buzzed by a little plane, swooped by a magpie, I frightened a rosella or two and took a nice walk along the river through the wattles. Oh and found a cache (or two). Couldn't ask for a better afternoon.
lovely weather for a walk in the bush. only interupted by the screaming of a r c plane from nearby. easy find and sign. tftc. dropped off tb.

Another week, another TDC run. Not so much about the numbers here, but about cleaning out some inner city caches and a few more than that in the outer areas. CCT0 was looked at, and we did everything but the final on that. A number of new caches came out in the evening, but as TR said in his logs, not all of us got a FTF. Still another great night with plenty of adventure and the awesome company of the TDC crew (myself, Quasar3671 and TrailRunning).
Another nice quick easy night time find. TFTC.

TDC (The Demolition Crew which includes myself, Blacklegend and Trailrunning) headed out for another of our regular get together night caching runs. Once again luck was with us and the weather held off with only a light sprinkle of rain towards the end of the night.
We started just north of the city to collect a couple of new caches as well as one we had attempted previously but found out later was MIA, but was now back up and running. From the city we headed east for a route which took us on through Ringwood and Lilydale and then along winding roads up through the Yarra Glen region. Overall we had a great night with us visiting new areas for the first time and with all finds made.
We took a short detour as we made our way to Yarra Glen to find the caches hidden in the Spadoni Reserve. A nice stroll to GZ and a short search soon had us signing the log.
Thanks Jacimarble.

After a few big weeks of TDC action, the crew decided to concentrate on cleaning out some caches in the inner city and in the northeast of Melbourne. On the agenda was the 20+ waypoints of CCT-0 – Capital City Trail, while the final was not gathered as it mean backtracking across Melbourne, the crew (Quasar 3671, Blacklegend & TrailRunning) had a fun time collecting all the clues. In the late evening a number of publications came out, and due to a bit of a mix up only one TDC member got to put their name in the log in first place.
This cache was found in the wee hours of the morning, when the shadows start to mow on their own. TFTC!

Have dried out log book, and put it back in a new container. Still painted black, but not quite as big, still able to fit small swaps, tbs and coins in though.
Apologies to all those who found a damp log book. I have retrieved it and replaced it with a temporary log sheet. I will dry the book out and return it soon.
Nice quick find. Can't see it lasting a long time but let's hope for the best. Tftc
If the log book is wet on the first day it's out their is going to be issues.

Damn it thought this was close to home - well it is as the crow flys only about 9 km but to drive there is about 20 mins - so staying home in the warm!!
27/08/2012 22:26 {*2TF*} I was getting ready to go out and saw that a couple of caches had popped up so decided to go for the latest to list. It is however a long way from home. nearly 20km as the crow fly's and much longer by road. I got to GZ and saw no-one and no cars so wondered if I had been lucky. Having been here only yesterday for the nearby bang bang cache I knew where to go and recognised the track off to the left. At GZ the GPS said THAT way but I looked behind and checked the first place i saw and had the cache in hand. The log book is already soggy but I was able to carefully open it and then I saw that Happy Pants had already been here. This is a quick and easy walk, even at night, though it would be tricky if the river flooded.. TFTC Wal-len TNLN SL

Geo wife noticed this one on the web and said didn't we get that one last weekend? (referring to the other close cache) Grabbed the torch and keys and off I headed to the same park only visited a couple of days ago. Co-ords were bang on and came up with a first to find,Yah!! Nice night for a stroll through the park anyways. SL @ 10:12 pm TFTC took geocaching lanyard, thanks again Wal-len for a first to find.
