Nah, don't bother, TreMichlan's shenanigans don't affect anyone but his/their own reputation.
Have just checked the old CITO logbooks- not unexpectedly, TreMichlan also 'forgot' to sign any of the logbooks at the event.
This CITO helped gain a 2012 Highly Commended Award from Keep Dunedin Beautiful - see photo. ODT story http://www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/249038/cleaner-coastlines-group-wins-top-award

of course we did this. But I obviously forgot to log. Was just checking statistics and realised
This was my first Flashmob and CITO. It was a great thrill to be part of it, bringing our rubbish bags along. What a great way to promote geocaching to the public.
What a great crowd and a huge pile of rubbish.....filled our bags in Mosgiel as we cached our way around during the morning. Liked the article in the ODT on Monday.
Hey, woof... JC Cache Dawg here...
I'm loading all my finds from my Alpha Males (aka GenCuster) logs, where he deigned to remember that I was with him... As if he could forget...11:45 I had my photo taken with Signal & Penguin Person. Enjoyed my 'free' lunch too

Awesome to see so many people there and so much trash!

great fun also great fun and laughs getting a park with all the flags flying thanks
Trying to find a park was humorous, especially seeing all the cars parked in town with the flags. Great idea and fun to be part of it. Thanks.
What a load of old rubbish!
Makes one ashamed to be a kiwi. Rubbish at every cache site and in between as well.
NZ could well take a leaf out of Singapore's clean streets and caching spots. Hefty penalties sure help to focus the mind, and ensure a clean tidy environment.
At least a CITO can highlight the problem. Well done.

Great to see the coverage in today's ODT. Well done to those who were there. Excellent!
We're in the News! The Otago Daily Times online "International Geocachers Tidy Up" http://www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/231362/international-geocachers-tidy
Great to see so many people turn up at the allocated time with their litter bags. The photographer must have had a wide angle lens if he managed to get everyone in the photo. Pretty good of the Council to close the street for the event and to collect the litter straight away. Great lunch too.
Thanks AdventureTharon
Thanks AdventureTharon
We delivered our bag of rubbish and were glad to have it outta the car!
My apologies for the lateness of this log.
I'm back in Dunedin for a few days and only now realized I'd missed logging a few found with Rosmar and FMZ on a cache raid during the NZMega event. Seemed like I was a yoyo in and out of the car.... and I missed out on logging a few. Mighta been the run-in with the cops that night! They musta been wondering about all the rental cars and nuts peering in bushes and de-webbing pipes and poles all over town! I think we quit at about 3AM....
Thanks for organising this event and adding to our fun. It's a player driven game after all.

Was in Dunedin for the MEGA 2012 and since I was there what is a cacher suppose to do, their duty of course, help clean up the area and look after the environment.
As we were going around picking up a few caches we decided to pick up the rubbish that was around the area that we traveled, and since it was a Sunday morning near the octagon there will always be a few lazy punters that don't use the equipment provided.
As always going around doing a CITO you can always find a few unusual things around the streets. After finding our fair share of rubbish we took it to the drop off point for the CITO and managed to catch up with quite a few other cachers that had arrive in this location as well.
Thanks for putting on the CITO and for looking after the environment as every little bit helps, really enjoyed meeting all the other cachers as well, TFTCITO TNLNSL (5030)

Day 8 of our campervan tour of New Zealand with Angel, Teachermom and Hynr. Today we cached around Dunedin before the Mega Clean Up CITO, drove around the peninsula, then north to Oamaru. We saw lots of beautiful sights and found lots of great caches along the way.
Had a lot of fun walking around town with all the other cachers and picking up garbage. Didn't really find much as this is a pretty clean city. Thanks AdventureTharon for organizing this event.

Great turnout of cachers, rubbish handed in and log book signed. Chatted with a few, got some photos and headed off for a well-deserved lunch. Thanks to all the organisers!
We'd been up on Flagstaff hill for the first part of the morning before making a mad dash back into town for the CITO. We collected some rubbish from around the area and moved into the middle of the octagon with a couple of other people.
Caching with Ghostgums, Mr Meccano, Gunnie69, kaisho53 and Ozibags while attending the NZ Mega. We attended the Mega cleanup event, meeting many caching friends, along with Signal, the penguin and a lacky from groundspeak HQ.

After a few morning caches, then a coffee & muffen, C62 & I turned up at the Octogan with our bags of rubbish. The amount of rubbish collected by all the cachers was astounding. It shows there is so much rubbish that needs collecting out there. CITO events allows cachers' to help the community. Many thanks to the organisers & the local paper for covering the event.
PS - I do apologise for taking so long to log my attendance.

We didn't read the instruction properly on this, but fortunately we managed to find a fair of rubbish on the Pineapple Flagstaff Walking Trail, so we were able to drop by with a good size bag full of rubbish!
In the end it was quite a bit of rubbish that was collected, and made for a good photo! So did all the cachers lined up in the Octagon as well.!
Well done to the organisers, it was a little different and perhaps made a bit of difference to the landscape of Dunedin.[^]

I was given a bag at the Mega for this event and after a few questions I was explained what the
clean up was about. During this morning we gathered the rubbish and headed to the GZ.
Arriving it was amazing to see the main street was blocked and minute by minute the crowd got bigger.
At one stage I thought we would all break into dance however the event did get a huge amount of publicity and we spent the next 2 weeks talking to locals in all the towns about the Geocaching events.
Our sincere thanks to AdventureTharon for putting this clean up event on.

After a Ramble around Mt ... this morning, it was time for the mob to make our way back into town and have some breakfast before embarking on a clean up in the area. As we dined close by, the crowds gathered in the Octagon and it looked like there was going to be a great turn out... [^]
We collected our rubbish and joined the masses about 10 minutes before the start time. Yep, there were a few here alright. In the distance, I spotted a couple of likely characters and figured that would make a good photo opportunity. Sadly, their popularity meant that would not happen for a while... Who knew Signal was female... I didn't...
Formalities for the event were sorted out and we added our names in the log. A few chats, a catch up with a lacky, a photo or three and some stares from muggles who clearly had no idea what was going on, we made our way back to the outer ring to kick off the WherIGo.
Attended with fellow Queensland hunters Kaisho53, OziBags, TheFourBees, Ghostgums and Mr Meccano... It was a fun and well organised CITO.
Cheers AdventureTharon.

Reperio at 1145.
Arrived at GZ with Roostaman right on time...and it wasn't long before a horde of geocachers and their rubbish began to emerge. It was great to see so many people in the one spot at the same time...and I bumped into many caching friends I hadn't seen on our New Zealand trip...and met plenty more faces I only knew by name...including Bryan (Groundspeak CO). It was fantastic to see the council's involvement and support of geocaching by having the road closed so that the event was uninterrupted...and hopefully this increases the awareness of not only geocaching itself...but how geocachers help to look after the environment as well. All in all...this was a great event! Enjoyed it.

NZ12. Out caching with Dazzatron today. Seeing so many people gathering in the center of town with heaps of rubbish collected from around the area was amazing. It was good to be able to contribute something to this town that offered us so much hospitality. Thanks.

Day 8 of our N Z Mega Event adventure - we awoke to another day just right for caching and sightseeing. We brought along our bag of litter we had picked up around town and then spent some time catching up with various caching teams and Bryan, the Ground speak Lackey. After the event was over, we joined with a number of other caching teams to complete the wherigo cache which started nearby. After finding a few more caches, it was time to jump into our cache mobile to head back to the mega event site to settle in for the night. Thank you for having organised the event Daywalk & Adventure Tharon

Just made it back in time, every carpark for miles seemed to be taken by a car with a flag on it. My second flashmod cache and 3rd Cito. Didn't find an awful lot to pick up in my travels. Good to catch up with everyone again briefly. Thanks for organising. TFTC
Wow! What a turn out of rubbish and cachers! Red junior had lots of fun and getting in a lot of other cacher's photos by the looks. He loved getting his photo taken with signal and geofeet! I think the amount of rubbish collected was awesome but probably only a drop in the ocean. Still, it all counts. Well done on organising this event!
We were late starters on the cleanup but hit the mother lode with a very trashy garden not to far from the Octagon which yielded several very large bags of rubbish. Great to be part of it. TFTC
Going caching in New Zealand. Heading to MEGA this weekend. So many caches! First it looked like all day raining, but then we sometimes had good conditions. Thanks for all the nice caches.
Nice to have met you all, it was a great experience meeting so many geocachers from all over the world collecting trash

Good to get another CITO done and while the NZ MEGA was on too, so we decided to go ahead and try to get as many other different types in a day on top of this one. We got 10 so that was a very successful day I think. Thank you for the flash mob and the chance to see more of the city centre!
11.45am. WOW, WOW, WOW soooo much rubbish. Well done people on a great effort.
PLenty of muggels wondering what was going on.

This was one of my few opportunities as an organiser to get away from the Waiora Scout Camp. Awesome to see how much rubbish had been collected, and how many geocachers had contributed to cleaning up Dunedin! Would have liked to have got out and done more myself, but alas, that was never going to happen. Guess I managed to contribute in my own 'special' way by acting as the Mega-phone Thanks so much for contributing! Cheers Gav
A well-organised get-together, with obviously a lot of support from the local authorities. We had parked a couple of blocks from the Octagon and there was a small area nearby the carpack that had been planted in tussock and a few native shrubs. From this area alone there was more than enough trash collected for all three of us, including several already full and very wet rubbish bags. Hopefully the area looks a bit better after our visit!
Dropped off all the CITO that collected this morning. Great orginisation to see the road closed off by the council then rubbish truck pulled up and hauled all the rubbish away as the crowds dispersed to cache elsewhere. First CITO event that have attended.

After grabbing a few caches this morning it was time to head to the CITO event. Parking was relatively easy in a side street and we made our way to The Octogon. We had time so we grabbed a coffee and a muffin from a nearby cafe then headed to the spot with our bags of rubbish. It was fabulous seeing so many cachers in one spot and it was gratifying to see the publicity in the Otago Daily Times the next day. Well done to the organisers.

It was a fantastic day out which in turn made one part of iRufus feel a little green. At least the other half was chilling out nicely, Very fun event to be a part of cheers
Only my second CITO and second flashmob. Great to see such a pile a rubbish collected in a short space of time, and great to see so many familiar faces here.
Hopefully, as a group, we left Dunedin better than we found it.

Mum and I CITO all the time but its awesome to be part of people doing it on a big scale like that.
Thanks so much to the organisers, it was very well put together aswell as executed.
Keep up the mini CITO's geocachers so we can atleast keep geocaching sites clean. Thanks gracie7 + Mum

My first Flash Mob, but not my first CITO. Great turn out, pity about all the rubbish, I'm glad it's now where it should have been put in the first place. Thanks to everyone who set it up.
We managed to park the official flag bearing geomobile near GZ and gathered up all the rubbish we had collected and delivered it to GZ. There was quite a crowd but we still spotted a few familiar faces in the crowd and after signing the official log we continued on our cache raid of the city. This was a great event that may well encourage some locals to take up the sport TFTE.
Part of the Mega 2012 weekend - this was my first official CITO event, I had (sadly) quite easily been able to fill an entire bag of rubbish from just one geocache location from our morning's caching. Felt quite good to be able to give something back to the community, thinking I may have to organise a few more CITOs in the future to help clean up the place a bit.
A quick pose for a photo, helped to move the huge pile of rubbish into the rubbish truck and we were off to find some lunch at the golden M.

Had fun trying to look inconspicuous carrying a white bag of rubbish around waiting for the meeting time - joined everyone else in placing our sacks in the large pile of rubbish collected - it was a great idea for us to clean up as we cached around Dunedin this weekend Signed the log thanks for the event one of 9 types of cache in a day attempt this is #5 thanks
Another for our caches in one day and was a bit hard to just approach discretly with our bags of rubbish. Joined all the others milling about and waiting for our directions for getting rid of our bags. I hope the council was pleased with the resut of all the collections made and cant wait to start seeing others pictures of the event

My first flashmob and cito event all rolled into one. Dropped off the bag of rubbish I had collected over the last few days while out caching. Big thanks to the organisers.
This was a bit of fun. Toted in the rubbish bag to add to the pile and then headed out caching again.

Well, this was the first event of this kind that i have attended. We arrived with a full CITO bag from the mornings caching. Plenty of other cachers around for the Flash Mob. Great Event, and great exposure geocaching as the media were around also.
Thanks NZ MEGA and NZ GPS for putting on such a great weekend and another great activity.

Took a break from caching around town with rosmar and Indiana Jill, to head over to the CITO and drop off the bags of rubbish we had collected so far on our travels. TFTC!!!
Arrived rubbish bag in hand. Cache number #163 during the Mega expedition to the South Island. Great idea. TFTCSL which was a mission in itself.
At last! After over 24 hours of travelling (and we only came from eastern Australia) our little group from Canberra arrived in Dunedin this morning, and managed to get to the CITO in time! A lot of fun to catch up with some people we hadn't seen for a while and to meet some new folks. A very well organised event. I especially giggled at several passers by who stopped to see if it was worth joining in! Thanks all.
What an awesome expericence this was. Still trying to work out what you the collective noun is for a group of cachers. Some caching buddies and I on facebook have declared it a 'coordinate' of cachers!
Thanks to the 2012 NZ Mega crew for a terrific CITO event.

Well, after a bit of misadventure with our travel plans, we finally arrived in Dunedin and made our way to this event after grabbing the first few finds our trip.
Meet up with some other travelling cachers and quite a few locals. Jumped in all the photo's and generally had a great 15 minutes or so. From here it was few more local caches before heading out to the Mega site to finally check in.......
Attended with fitzy_1965, Winglen, ZsaZsa7 and our NZ caching mate Rextrex on our 8 day trip to NZ for the Mega Event. We visited many areas, found some great caches and had a great time.

Somehow I managed to overlook logging this until now (30/10). I collected rubbish mainly from the Blackhead car park area. Thanks for organising. Nice to see the positive publicity in the local papers too.
Awesome set up, well done all. Nice to see so many familiar faces in town for the Mega.
Thanks for the cache AdventureTharon.

An amazing event showing how the community can truly can come together. It also showed what we do, not just looking for tupperware under bushes. We loved catching up with fellow taggers and new ones. We look forward to building our new and old tagging friendships.
Found with pprass and Juddda. We are now all jambed into the one geowagon today, all together, for the days' caching.
The CITO was a great event to catch up with a few people.
We dropped of a few bags of rubbish that we had been collecting for a couple of days.

Great turnout. Did as part of the NZ Mega event and brought our bag of rubbish along. Mycro Man enjoyed having photos with the characters here. Thanks for the quick flash mob (or not so quick). Did with Mycro Man on our NZ MEGA 2012 South Island Trip
Arrived in plenty of time but finding a park was a nightmare as one might expect. Soon found the pile of rubbish to add our bags too. Then waited for the photos etc, grabbing lunch and heading off again to find more caches. Thanks for a brilliant day.
Found with Sam walker's while visiting for the NZ Mega. Always enjoy this type of event. Ran into familiar names and faces TFTC
Today is the last day of the NZ Mega...

The Octagon is a wonderful asset to the city of Dunedin. The opportunity to block off the through street for a community gathering without disrupting the flow of traffic shows forward thinking on the part of the town planners. The amount of rubbish gathered by cachers is to be commended.
5455 + 591 = 6046. Day 2 of my week long visit to the New Zealand South Island for the NZ Mega 2012 event along with Sol de Lune, Zsazsa7, Winglen and RexTrex.
Now that the group was finally together after some problems with Flights it was time to start some serious caching ! We went for a walk around central Dunedin caching until it was time for the CITO to start. There we saw many familiar faces and names. This event was really a great way to promote caching as something other than finding lunchboxes in the forest. Well done to the organisers. Once the photos were taken and the logs signed and the rubish dropped off we headed off to continue the caching run. Thanks AdventureTharon and the entire MEGA crew !!

Day five of the NZ Mega invasion
A morning hunt around Dunedin ended in a CITO flashmob style. My thanks to all of the organisers for a cache icon I haven't received before.

Had a busy morning caching but made sure we'd time it to bring in the collected trash for this event. Had been to only one other CITO, a few flash mobs but must say this is the flashest one yet! So many cachers in one spot. A great experience. When crowd dispersed, we joined others for some lunch at a nearby eatery & to plan next string of caches esp as many were doing the 7+ a day Challenge cache. Thanks for such a well organised event!
11.45am. Dutifully handed in our rubbish bag (full) and posed for the group photo. Shook hands with Signal and Geofeet. Signed logbook. Watched the Council rubbish truck collect the significant heap of rubbish accummulated. Seemed to be a good effort from everybody and positive publicity for geocaching.
Thanks for the opportunity to participate.

Found with MtnLioness on our tour around Southern NZ and the NZ MEGA event.
Attended with some rubbish. Nice place for a meet. This cache is one of 10 different types MtnLioness and I found today. Also got to meet some (many) new cachers too. Thanks for organising

I tried to get first to find on one of the caches up the road a bit, but when I found that I was 2TF, I decided to pick up some of the rubbish at the GZ. And there was a lot! Completely filled my CITO bag. It was actually really awesome to see what a positive impact geocachers had on the Dunedin environment, that we were able to give back to the environment, which we rely on for great caching experiences...Thank you for hosting this event, and doing the work to ensure that everything was organised so amazingly! Thanks for the CITO Event Cache!
9973... Collected some rubbish over the past couple of days, met up with daywalk and headed towards the Octagon, picking up even more rubbish along the way. Nice to see the results of the geocachers contribution to Keep Dunedin Beautiful. Awesome to be part of this Mega CITO Event, many thanks to daywalk and AdventureTharon for organising. CITO (6/9).
My first Flashmob ever ... And what a crowd it was in the Octagon. After tidying up my duties handing out packed Mega lunches, I didn't get a chance to mingle - but seeing the Otago Daily Times turn up to cover such a fantastic event made it all worth while.
