Nice and moist for this little guy around here at the moment. Cute little pond too TFTC
After Parkrun we headed back to Launceston to do a few caches with the primary goal being a north Tassie. Gosh it was so wet here today we walked down a river it felt like to get to this cache. Very wet feet. Lots of frog sounds and a cute frog hide. TFTC
Thanks for the CacheFind#198Search/SL Time=5M/13:27Today Found/DNF=5/0Finders Note added spare logbook
On the last day of my Devonport 2-Day Caching Trip, i made today the day to come to Launnie, targeting a former DNF / Golden Oldies / High Fave Point Caches and whatever else is in the path I just had to come down and see this Aussie Icon and hopefully find him to sign his log.Down at GZ i was looking here, looking there, then i spotted him... in the open , what Camo! right there and i still didn't see him ha ha Signed his dry log at 10:01 on Wednesday 22 November 2023 and re-hid him according to the clue, now Muggles won't find and pinch him.Fave Point for this cool creation, it was so realistic and fooled me no troubles.TFTC thomarter

Thanks for the cache thomarter.
Exploring some of the dog-friendly tracks in the Trevallyn Recreation Area with my two GeoGSP's. We could certainly hear heaps of frogs as we approached GZ.
A nice little hide at GZ. All is well with the cache.

A great cache with a very cool container. Almost thought the frog was real for a second before realising that it was the cache. TFTC.
Loved this cache. Some great MTB trails around here by the looks of things. Well done on making such a great cache.
Thanks for a nice and challenging find for my son and I. A new bag for the log is needed.
Given that this cache wasn’t too far away from the FTF that I had just collected I decided to continue on to find it. It was raining very heavy by now and the track was more like a fast running stream. So all in all it was probably not such a good idea in work clothes and not much time before my next meeting. However I was committed now so made the short journey to the gz. Definitely a better cache in winter as I imagine it would be quite snakey in summer. Nice hide and cute geocache. TFTC
Found straight away. Enjoyed exploring this new area today. Will be back for more. Thank you
GPS is way out and after an hour with the kids and searching near every tree still couldn't find it
Do not read if you don’t want a spoiler!!!
Found it! Good cache GPS was going crazy here, don’t rely on it.
It’s on the bush side of the pond where there is no prominent path. Head toward this tree in photo then head left. Hint is still relevant.

I am glad to have turned this frown upside-down, especially on Streak Week! It would appear that the GPS in my phone is rubbish (not quite the word I used but that will do), and I had someone with me with a much better phone with greater GPS capabilities and she honed in on the cache like a proper cacher...must be time for me to get a new phone and I can then walk the talk or something like that. Thanks so much for the cache and a fairly easy find when on the correct path!
This walk was just within my post op knee's capabilities. Searched in circles and after 10mins sent a I give up msg to muggle mum in car. Turned around and saw a likely looking spot. And, yes! Cute hide. 13m out by my not so smart smartphone. Then a kookaburra laughed at me! TFTC
I had no idea this pond was here! It was very peaceful with the birds and frogs singing their songs. At first I went to the wrong side but went back to the other track and after an easy walk through the bush found a cute little froggie! Thanks - it gave me a smile.
Tassie Trip Day 189 - This was a day the it was decided to collect the oldest cache in Tassie and along the way we found a few more to add to the list of found caches. It was a wonderful place for a drive and a great day to see some sights.
This was the walk for the other member of the team and after making the way to the general GZ area and a check of the hint the appropriate hiding place was identified and the cache soon found and log signed.
Thanks thomarter for this place to enjoy the area and collect another smiley.

Made the way down from the car park and walked around the little dam. Came within 5m of the cache and searched using the hint. Found the little guy in his hiding spot.
Today I had 6 caches on the list to find, 1 DNF to have another go at and some others that I have been to before but have had no luck. All 6 were found without any issues.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

I was stumbling about in the bush and bracken and got to what I thought was the right tree as the co-ordinates were spot on, I had a good search, found some great hiding places, but no cache...maybe next time.
Out on a cold frosty morning to get a few new caches which have gone down since our last visit to Tas, more like a terrain 3. Got there eventually.TFTC
As I battled me way to GZ,
I could hear frogs a calling
Though they didn't sound like the subject of this cache
More of a 'Plonk -plonk-plonk' sounding frog
And somewhere in the morass of GZ,
I spied a cache
TFTC ... Ribbit

Was wondering if this bush bashing was worth it, then found the container was definitely worth it! How cute.
After a bit of a search, a little bush bashing and off roading we found it quite quickly!
Yes, I could hear them, but did not see one. The greatest difficulty with this one was to find a track that leads to GZ. After a while, i found a small path starting about a metre next to the official track, leading into the right direction and soon found the nice hiding spot.
Thanks for pointing this pond out to me, thomarter

No pen, plenty of frogs bonking to each other on opposite sides of the pond though! Tftc
A nice quick find after all. TFTC, fav point for being something more than a sistema!
