Reperio 09:04Day 4 of my little escapade to Albury for the weekend, and having camped the night in Wagga Wagga, it was time to head home to Orange. With recent rain having just passed, the track was a little slippery. Once at GZ though, the cache was quickly retrieved and signed.Gratias SMT2666As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

#21004. Day 5 of a short holiday over the border in NSW with Robmc and the geodoggies. Now at Temora for 2 nights. The forecast for today was dreadful and indeed we awoke to wet surrounds and grey skies. To our surprise we soon had blue skies and sunshine, but it did remain very windy. Staying out at the airport and hoping to see some action in the skies.

Have never been to Temora before and an amazed that it is such a huge town with so many great old buildings and grand churches.

Thanks for the hide along this road.

Thanks SMT2666

Catching up on some very late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.

Found this hide while filling in the day, while hubby was at the Airshow. Found okay. Think this would make a great camp site.

We decided to leave Wagga earlier than planned, was not happy with the showgrounds, So Mrs Snakepitter decied on Temora. What a great plan. Arrived at the free camp, setup, then got the bikes down off the bike rack and had a ride around town and up to the lake. Did a few Klm, and nearly got through before the drizzle came.

Thanks SMT2666 for the caches.

A nice quick find by Mrs SKI, and a drive-by too!

We have been on the road since the start of May, having delayed our departure from our home in Churchill, Victoria so we could get our first dose of Covid vaccine. Our first stop was Geelong, then up to Tumut to visit our son and his family. We must have known something was coming because we managed to enter NSW a week before the current Covid lockdown in Victoria-our lucky break. Of course during our travels we have managed to find a few caches. Over 1000 so far on this trip, with plenty more to come we hope. We are really enjoying discovering the little towns along the way. So many lovely places, often with grand buildings linked to a long history. Temora hasn’t disappointed us. There are grand buildings galore, so lovely to look at. Another link that has Mrs Ski smiling is the link to Paleface Adios. As a youngster my granddad was an owner trainer of both race horses and pacers. Gran would always place a small flutter on any pacer with Adios in its name, and she usually had reason to smile at the outcome.

On my way to an event near Temora, with Black Bunny. We thought we might as well just find a few caches while we were out and about.
Quick find. No issues. Thanks, SMT2666!

What an adventure. Found it, and had a great time.

The spot was perfect for camouflage. At least that's what I’d thought when you picked the spot. I couldn't imagine that anyone would ever be able to see it in these surroundings. So there it sat, confident that it was hidden from the world and safe from danger. Unfortunately, you had not anticipated that others may be looking upon it from other angles, and now they were stealthily descending towards it’s hiding spot.

It's always good to bring a slower friend with you on a hike. If you happen to come across zombies, the whole group doesn't have to worry. Only the slowest in the group do. That was the lesson we will all learn one day.

"Explain to me again why I shouldn't cheat?" he asked. "All the others do and nobody ever gets punished for doing so. I should go about being happy losing to cheaters because I know that I don't? That's what you're telling me?"

Thanks

Found OK. Picked up TB, and dropped one off.

Out and about with Coruze and Mrs 3InOne picking up a few caches around town before Mr 3InOne came home from work. Being in the big flash soccer mum car, we drove straight up the middle here, past a couple of ute loads of young up and coming motocross stars, who watched on as we drove through "their tracks"....
We pulled the circus to a stop as close as we could and jumped out to make the quick find and sign...and dropped off a TB to continue its travels...
The golf course was quite busy today, but it seems no one likes to walk as every golf cart in the district was out on the course.....apparently golf doesn't ruin a good walk, it ruins a drive...

Nice, hide actually drove past this one when going to your other hide. Does not look like the back tee has been used in a while though.

Parked at the speedway and the walked down from 102. I had a friend who raced cars in Griffith and I know he came here but I never knew where the track was (I was going to have a race or two but broke my wrist and then left town).
A quick walk here and the cache was well exposed but all contents OK - bid a bit better and on my way. Another spots with Superb Parrots nearby.
Off to the cemeteries before I get too wet

Thanks to SMT2666 for the cache. Big Grin

Found during our five week journey half-way around Australia, for the NT Experience OzMega event, somewhere between: ACT -> NSW -> Qld -> NT -> SA -> Vic -> NSW -> ACT.

So many stories to tell. So many experiences had. So little time to mention them all.

TFTC. We are in Temora for their RV Muster. While here we are attempting to find all the local caches within the apps search radius. This is one of the last three traditional caches left. On a sunny Monday morning it was opportune to go into this area and find three caches close together.

Had a long three days of caching with a total of 2054 km done! Enjoyed every minute of it despite some dissapointments as well. Most caches I found were really nice and in good condition, thanks to all the CO for putting them out there! Trip Kiama-down the Hume to Albury/Wodonga-Along the Murray to Cobram-back to NSW and via Hay to Ivanhoe=back down to Griffith-Temora-Yass and home.
