Had a great morning in Kerang. Great food and service, did some shopping, took our scooters for a ride around the trails. Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment. #2435
Sir_Spectre and I went for a long weekend over to Victoria, we hosted some events and CITO's and was really impressed by all the people that made the effort to join us. Any caches that needed attention got it, with many log books being replaced or extras sheets added as needed. Thanks to all who placed and maintained caches for us to find
Quick find. Another find in this LGA and another find closer to 20 finds. Found cache 6 meters from listed co ords.Found with Mogni. The plan this October Long Weekend was to head over to Victoria and host 3 CITO's plus host my first geocaching event, also increase my finds to 20 in at least 5 victorian LGA's. Given that we were caching in the country alot of km's were travelled. The weather was raining on and off all saturday including the night time but by luck all 3 events that day were dry. The first CITO ( and the cache of the trip ) was in Kaniva at the wetlands, the next in CITO was in Dimboola at one of the rest areas, and placing a future challenage cache then slowly making our way to wycheproof canavan park which was our accomadation for the weekend and then up to Mount Wycheproof ( the smallest registered mountain in Australia - at 43metres tall ) for my coffee and sunset event. Sunday started off with a early 630 am CITO in the Mount Wycheproof wetlands reserve ( sorry i did forget about daylight savings when i made the time for the event but it was a dawn and light still ). Now off to swan hill ( which is my least favorite LGA to cache in ) and then a few more LGA's and back to the tent in the dark well past dinner. Then it was slowly heading home via the silo arts works along the way and walpuep and then over the border to pinaroo and home. We went through over a milk crate of spare containers and got 2 and 1/4 garage bags of cans and bottles. Any caches that were found broken/cracked/etc were replaced and any full log books were replaced.
Checked on cache this morning and found it missing have now replaced with a bison tubeAll good to go. Good luck
I will check this cache next week when I get homeSorry for any inconvenience Cheers

We finally got the chance to come up and camp at Gunbower Island for a few days. While there was lots of relaxing and fishing going on, there was also some geocaching to be done. This morning we headed off to Chunk's old home town of Kerang. After gathering some more supplies for our Australia Day supper, we found a few caches on the way back to the Island. Except for this one. No luck for us here today. We may have been influenced by the previous log too, as a discussion with another cacher afterwards revealed that despite a brief look, we may not have looked closely enough at the right level. Thanks anyway Aussie Fun Seakers and we hope to come back and have another go without it being another 7 years like it was this time.
Rutherglen Mega Roadtrip
Day Seven: Kerang to Gumeracha
Weather: Showers, but all the smoke from yesterday has cleared.
One of a cluster of finds in and around Kerang, mostly done on foot early in the morning before heading out of town. Unlike Rutherglen, it was very quiet, just the occasional dog walker. The overnight rain has cleared all the smoke out of the air.
In the car now. A quick find once at the correct host! Thanks for the hide Aussie Fun Seekers.
It’s officially a mega!

Day #11 of the adventure although it’s day 2 of adventures on my own as the others had to go home. Today I’m working my way to Echuca.
A quick find when looking from the right angle.
Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for placing the hide!

I left town on this road which promised 3 drivebys as a cold front was sweeping through and rain squalls were lashing the road.
Easy find this. No day for golf me thinks.
Thanks

Found it easily, the log book was damp but I didn’t have any paper with me to replace it
Nice quick find, the log was a bit damp but sorry didn’t have time to dry it out. Thanks to AFS.
Spotted quickly. Retreived the slightly damp log book and scribbled our name. It's been so dry around here lately I'm not sure where the dampness has come from. TFTC, AFS!
Found while on our way to Cohuna. After the gps sent me on a wild goose almost 20m away, it eventually settled and I finally found your cache high and dry. Just had to wait it out for a pairs paying their shots on the adjacent fairway. Thx Aussie Fun Seekers.
Out for a Drive in the District grabbing some smilies.
Parking here much easier than the B260 today.

**Having bagged a Brownlow Medal, a dip in the old Kerang Pool, its time for a round of golf**
**Parked "Big Momma"and proceeded to conquer this course**
**A quick search and this M&M was soon spotted**
**Unfortunately the container is cracking up**
**Left our autograph and reclosed the container.**
**Off now to visit Karrie Webb, Hopefully she's at the 19th hole** [:o)]
**Thanks for the cache Aussie Fun Seakers. An informative series** [^] [^]

5718. Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1145 on our drive via Koondrook back towards The Rock. This was a DNF for us last time we came across this way and decided to change that on this trip. The camo was very clever and has us scratching the head to start. Eventually SL Tnx Aussie fun Seakers.
Didn't find it

When we downloaded this cache it was still active. It was a DNF for us but we searched and found some of the shredded log and some of the swaps that had been thrown around the area. We placed all of this into the branches of the tree. Photo attached

A quick find in a day of caching between Echuca and Swan Hill. Almost a driveby which is just what you want on a travel day. TFTC
Out and about exploring Kerang with CAD - another lovely day although a little chilly for us Darwinites! Took us awhile to spot this one - but got it in the end T4TC:)

I had one of the few DNFs for the trip here. Looked everywhere but could not find it. Hopefully it was just me - it usually is!
This was day 18 of our trip out of Sydney to the southern states of Victoria and Tasmania. We enjoy looking for caches that are not on the main tourist routes.
The cache name gave us a fair idea what type of facility we expected to be near. This proved to be correct. The cache itself was quickly and easily found. After the log had been signed the cache was replaced as found. TFTC.

One golf course - two caches. Having already found the other one I wandered over the road to grab this one. Spotted the hide quickly but did have a bit of trouble accessing it. Was quite relieved when I realised it had a hook. Was amused at the zip lock bag that the log was in. You could put $1 worth of COPPER or $2 worth of 5c pieces in it. Now just how old is that bag?
Then after having a quick scout around for golf balls [unsuccessfully] it was on our caching way.
Thanks.
