Tftc havenez. Down from Mt Benambra and time to look and find this one. Sometimes it pays to be a giant, sometimes a hobbit. On this occasion it is the latter.
Heading to our accommodation before a hike up Big Fella. Plenty of water being discharged and swirling around. Found the trail to GZ and made a quick find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC. We

Travelled from Melbourne to Wodonga yesterday to bring a friend home who was stranded when the trains and buses stopped because of the floods, turned out to be not too bad on the roads and we finished up with a free day to visit Dartmouth when it’s overflowing
Another quick find, cache is in good condition.
**Thanks for placing this cache haveanez**

Sometimes caching should be called “The waiting game”, as that’s exactly what went on here today…
A constant stream of water and concrete aficionados came one after the next, with an old dude photography enthusiast who was standing there taking a million photos of the air thrown into the mix…
So needless to say we saw every single drop of water tearing out of the bottom of that dam for over half an hour….
Anyway, with a break in the traffic, dad swooped in like a ninja and did the quick find and sign without getting too damp at all.
That’s a lot of water coming out of that hole, we should know more than anyone today.

#20358. The last day before the rains come again so Robmc and I decided we would make the trek to visit the spectacular overflow at Dartmouth Dam today. A pleasant drive through lush north eastern scenery with the awesome overflow a bonus at the end.
After lunch we called in here and what a surprise this was. Such a mirror calm surface of a beautiful lake with scenic backdrops. And yet, the water was pouring through underneath the wall, sending spray up like the ocean smashing on rocks. A bit of a scramble through the shrubbery to find the cache, add our names and admire the lake once more.
Thanks haveanez

BettyBoo3747 and I traveled out to Dartmouth Dam to have a sticky beak at the overflow - very impressive! Of course we had to do a few caches in either direction.
After doing the AdLab at the dam, we went to the Dartmouth Pub for lunch.
This was the fist cache after lunch.
Lovely view of the lake here, and a spectacular view of the gate opened pouring heaps of water to the river.
Thanks, Robmc.

Had a look at the station, got back to the car and realised we were right next to it, quickly found.
The water looked like ocean waves smashing against the rocks

A pleasant little park and interesting power station site. The approach to GZ was being bathed in spray from the huge volumes of water passing through the power station. Enjoyed exploring this lovely little place and picking up a great cache was a real bonus. TFTC.
Great little hunt. Good weather a place I have never been and if it wasn’t for this cache I would have never of gone. It was awesome to see the power station and to find this cache.

Nice spot to stop before reaching the big dam upstream. Plenty of water flowing through here today!

Up this way for a few days to take a look at all the water and Dartmouth Dam. Stopped off here to enjoy the view and make this find. It looked like it had been muggled but maybe an animal. Log was wet, so replaced it. Left TB.
Thanks haveanez for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find.

Made the decision to spend Fathers day in the Mitta Mitta Valley with the family. After lunch at the Eskdale pub, Dart was next on the agenda. Quick stop to check this station out. A quick find, lots of people about today. Tftc !
On a camping road trip with our caching buddies and we are now staying at Platypus Campground. This afternoon we decided to take a trip over to Dartmouth and surrounds and stopped by here at the Power Station to have a look and find the cache. Our caching buddies had previously located this cache, so left us to our own devices, otherwise the area was deserted. Our first attempt at finding a route to the cache ended at a fence and it was Mr Pooky who found the more appropriate route and Mrs Pooky was able to make a relatively quick find once on the right track. TFTC and bringing us to this spot. TNLN.
Geohubby took on this one & had to crawl the last bit as he was too tall to get through the scrub. TFTC
Found by edmil & Maddie. Had lunch and a bit of a tasting at the mitta mitta brewery then mosied along up to this location. Great views. Cache was a quick find. Log signed & cache replaced thanks for the hide.

This cache would seem to have had some welcomed action on behalf of the CO by a Good Samaritan - 'heymissjo', so it fortunately lives for another day.
Even though a Good Samaritan has addressed the issue, there is still a need to Enable the cache - see here: [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) and then remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute. Heymissjo and I continued on our long weekend roadtrip...
We headed here, to Dartmouth, to check out the area and to pick up a 'UBD map'. Neither of us had been this way before.
The sunny weather had been ideal, but we now discovered on arrival that HMJ was bearing a little sunburn. It's hard to judge sun in the alpine areas.
We parked reasonably close to GZ and had the pleasure of being the only people here within cooee.
Our first line at the cache was met with a fence, but we soon discovered the more appropriate route in to GZ.
HMJ replaced the sodden logbook with a new dry one. The cache itself seemed perfectly okay, with all clips and seals checking out. So with names added and maintenance done, we headed down to the infrastructure platform for some mandatory selfies.
Thanks, haveanez, all is well here.

The Welder and I have been on a road trip for a few days from Melbourne, after finally getting out of a forever lockdown! We decided as we had a few kid free days, we would hit up some north Vic LGAs ans UBD maps that we are missing for a challenge. This cache we need for both challenges. Whilst we were here, we removed the wet log and replaced it with a clean log book and bag. We can see that the CO has been unable to get over the border, so happy to help if we can. This cache is now good to be reactivated again and no need for a CO visit. Thanks for the cache.

Due to ongoing Covid Restrictions I am unable to get to this one for maintenance. Cannot cross NSW/Victorian border yet.
Found this afternoon at around 4pm whilst being in the area for work. Nice spot. Cache container is wet. Tftc
We've escaped from home for a few days -the first break for at least three years. Although caching is on the menu we'll also have some relaxing time. Day one was from home to Wodonga and included five GA caches and four GC caches. Day two was spent wandering along the Mitta Valley and up to Dartmouth Dam.
Yep, the logbook is totally saturated and probably needs to be a little higher off the ground. We managed to scribble our mark in the book but it's probably illegible.
Thank you, haveanez, for this cache.
#4120. Log signed at 1403Hrs.
(I often sign the log book as "W+W" to save paper/time/ink)

Day 10 of the multi state camping adventure. The last full day of our Easter trip with some already leaving to return home today. Dropped in to grab this quick cache after a failed 4WD trip to find the fire tower.
The log is mouldy and I was barely able to scratch my name into the log.
Thanks haveanez for the cache.

Found while tripping around rural Vic due to border restrictions. As we can’t do anything else we’re doing the Murray River starting in the NE & headed for Mildura.
This cache’s log is very wet. We didn’t have spares with us. Another cachet may be able to help the CO with maintenance. TFTC

Staying in Tallangatta, and doing some motorcycle rides with a few friends, I visited this cache. Unfortunately the log book is completely sodden and I was unable to complete my signing (date only). I didn't have anything with me to replace it.
I didn't know the pondage dam even existed, so thanks for bringing us here haveanez.

Although the container is in good condition, the log book is sodden. I'm sorry that I didn't have anything with me to replace it.
After taking the wrong walking path from the car park through the scrub we arrived at gz and soon found the cache. Took the correct path back to the car
Out and about with the wackyweedos. A quick find but cache container was filled with water. Log book dry tho thanks to the snap lock bag that was protecting it. Disposed of the cache contents whilst the wackyweedos cleaned out and dried the container. log signed and returned as found
Great spot for a hide. Container full of water. Removed all rusty swaps & dried the container out with my pants. All sparkling clean & dry ready to be found. Log book was surprisingly dry. Needs a new snaplock bag if next finder has one with them. Tftc
Great views of the power station and downstream. In the area over Easter. Lovely weather ad well.

Still learning geocaching on the new phone instead of a real gps! Huge fish below but no fishing allowed
We are up this way several times a year as we travel around and for some reason have never stopped in to get this cache. Today, we decided it was time to grab it.
We didn't hang around very long though. We walked to the sign at the bottom of the stairs, then straight over to GZ. As we got close i noticed a telltale sign of a cache hide and soon had the log signed.

GPS all over the place but an easy enough find in the end, despite the spiny vegetation. TFTC!
Interesting little spot to visit. There are big trout clearly visible in the water below. We approached from above and discovered there was an easier way found with Indianagleeson and shellumbus. Tftc.
TFTC Leap year Nice drive to this interesting location fond the cache in no time our Geo pup Digger helped.
Yeah! Should have taken note of the hint first.....might have saved the geothongs. What an interesting area this is. Cache all good. Thank you haveanez.
After a very long break from caching we decided to get back to nature. This was a lovely drive and a nice easy find for our teenage son Joel.
On a day out to Dartmouth. Stopped off here and discovered a second power station. Its a shame the gates are locked. A very interesting location. Cache in good condition

Found while camping on our way driving to the Dam Wall. Pulled up in the car and to our surprise found a locked gate, jumped out and traveled the rest of the way on foot. A short walk later found myself in the info area and eventually down the steps to the GZ. Spotted fairly quickly under its little home and was quick to log and replace. A brilliant view from this point and the top of the station wall, noticed 2 huge fish swimming in the pool below.

Blink and you miss the turn off as we did.
Nice small little power station to see on our way to see Dartmouth.
Some moisture in the container but not in the log bag.
We quite liked the large, smooth rocks as well pity we didn't have our 2 rock hoppers with us.
A place we would not have known if not for Geocaching.
