Tftc! I broke my pen in the waypoint, it's all still solvable but I couldn't get it back out! Otherwise cool cache and awesome area!!
Here in the land of the king white cloud to attend the mega in Dunedin. Many thanks to all those involved in the organisation! Today we targeted some oldies and virtuals . Much better weather and lots of fun. Travelling and caching as a group Qld+1. A big hike included! I was here in 2017 as a novice cacher and had no idea what to do when I found the container. So pleased to be back ,?to solve and to collect the cache!
Our third and final day of the Mega caching with geofriends from Aus before we go our separate ways. Group consisted of Bluewattle, chamad, Wollaston, Willis007, kolour, Ardom, Gcoven, BenM70, and Snickersallan. Logs were signed as QLD+1.A big thank you to all the cache owners who placed this great amount of caches for our enjoyment and the benefit of the geocaching community. This was a standout for me today, a favourite point coming your way.Apologies for the generic logs, as I rarely log them whilst travelling around the countryside and tend to do them once back at home.
Loved this cache. Definitely gets a favourite point from me. Outnabout with Chamad, Snickersallan, Ardom, Bluewattle, Gcoven & BenM70 on my first ever trip across the ditch. Log signed as QLD+1 to save some space. After a week of caching around Brisbane and at events last month with other Geo friends, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to hop on board for a NZ Mega adventure. Another great day for caching. TFTC daywalk
Day 4 in New Zealand A few virtuals, favourited and some along the ways Have attended the mega site now picking up D/Ts. Made it to this one and made the find with the QLD+1 crew of Paul, Glenda, Allan, Amanda, Mick, Gloria and myself. This one had an interesting history so was the one to do. Enjoyed it. My first overseas trip ever started off eventful with my tree fishing pole joining me in Brisbane after deciding not to travel on my flight. Virgin staff made up for their boo boo, so my adventure could continue stress free but making for a long day Day 1 involved my first FTF in another country, another webcam under my belt, a few virtuals and a couple of favourites. Day 2 involved the drive down to Dunedin, some caches of interest and the nastiest CiTO Ive ever done. Day 3 was D/T series, some planes and others along the way. Thanks daywalk for placing this Letterbox Hybrid for me to convert into a smilie
Day three - Geo Toroa DunedinFinally the sun has decided to show its faceWith Queensland buddies, Snickersallan, chamad and Wollaston, BenM70, gcovernSigned log as QLD+1Thanks for creating and placing for our enjoyment
Yah I found the other end to the tunnel. Its a shame it cant be opened but it would be a Hugh engineering job. Thanks for the help daywalker really appreciate it. TFTL
Got to the first waypoint, decided clue and off to second. Thats where we got confused and are awaiting word from CO.
Great Scenic View at Caversham Tunnel (Dndn,Otago)Dunedin MEGA Sunday! More great caches to be found while exploring the beautiful Dunedin. Joining forces with some Queensland comrades, we hit the road, collecting great caches along the way. Signing our logs QLD + 1 to save room, we were pleased to see most of the caches had been recently maintained and enjoyed a great variety of hides and types.A massive thank you to all of the COs for the preparation, placement and maintenance of these caches. TFTC daywalk# 10670CheersWillis007
As I am staying nearby with a friend, I walked to this cool place two days ago. I used the coordinates from the archived cache and soon found what I was looking for. I managed to decipher the code and work out gz.Today Willis007 and I quickly found the cache in its good hidey hole. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Fp for showing me the tunnel. Tftc
Miss 12 had her hands on this after a final little hint from CO. What a cool adventure
I came down to dunedin for the mega and i was lucky enough to have a fellow geocacher who had a sister in Dunedin which meant we had a place to stay which was marvellous and over the 6-7 days i visited so many caches that some have become a blur while others i remember well . We were lucky we had only a handful of DNF although i had not taken in to account the terrain of Dunedin and its many hills , gullies , streams and walk ways around these so that meant many of the caches i had planned to visit were not visited while others were. Unfortunately not all the albatross series - although solved - were some of the unvisited caches so they are there for another visit . when ever that maybe ! It was certainly helpful to have a local in our vehicle who knew where to go ! Thank you for this cache .
Probably just me in the rain but on search That Corner turned out nothing, but at least I know where the tunnel is.
Back home in Taranaki after a massive 5 days at the Dunedin Mega with MrMuggleNZ and its time to start logging my findsall 226 of themso wish me luck. Only 2 DNFs the whole time we were here so thats a testament to the dedication of the local cache owners and their maintenance prior to this event. This cache was a must do as it sounded very interesting! Im wondering if there used to be another hide down here at some stage because on our walk in MM found a camo plastic lid off a container..about 2-3L in size. Anyway we found the waypoint and had fun figuring out the next stage. Off to the final which we found in the fading light. This is find #77 today so its time for some dinner and then hopefully a night cache! TFTC.
Found on a trip down south to the Dunedin Mega with trayc.gsigned as MrMuggle or MM to save room..Thanks to the COs for all your caches. We had a blast. TFTC
All okay at waypoint and final. Obviously people have burrowed underneath the gate at the Caversham end to get inside the tunnel.
I had no idea there was a tunnel there. Thanks for the cache and the opportunity to explore Dunedin even more!
Found the waypoint yesterday, no trouble there, interesting place to visit. consulted with the Caching Crew and IHaveLocoMotives came up with a solution. Off to to final today and a quick search was successful. Cheers! Off to visit a couple of multis nearby.
Trouve ! / Found it ! Pffiou pas simple celle ci mais j'en suis venu bout. I did know this tunnel existed but I never really knew how to get to it. Finally went to find out today, gosh a bit creepy down there really! Wouldn't like to meet anyone loitering down here.. but the only muggle I found was a wee baby fledgling! Managed to find the waypoint relatively easily, yep it was filthy but easily readable, and I was able to come up with some numbers. At first I thought I must have done something wrong, couldn't work out why the final would be where it was, and figured I'd get it another day. On second thought I went to just see, and sure thing everything made sense, how cool is that! And the actual placement of the cache was pretty fitting with the tunnel theme too Thanks for finally giving me a reason to find the tunnel!
Well I had no idea that either of these locations were here. I had found the nicely camouflaged waypoint a while ago, when I had arrived early for one of WilbyWarrior's events nearby. I hadn't put enough effort into solving the final co-ordinates, but fortunately I met the CO at the Chain Hills Tunnel open day who set me on the right track, as it were, so I managed to solve the final co-ordinates soon after I arrived home. Today MrMagoo72 and I were out and about, so decided to pull over to locate the cache. We had packed our gumboots, in case a bit of sloshing was required to reach the final, but fortunately they were unnecessary today. Nicely hidden, and all clean and dry inside. A fav vote from me. TFTC.
Really had fun exploring this area and looking down the tunnel with my family, thanks for hiding this cache and for showing us these spots. TFTC
Loved pretending I was a train and chugged down the track with my family to the way point, easy find at the cache site. Would like to walk through the tunnel one day, TFTC
Great letterbox hybrid cache thank you; Arlin and I had fun finding it. Going home happy now, with 13 caches found today.
Thanks to Cooper Clan for the heads up on the container being broken and contents wet. Nothing was disturbed, so think the container was probably broken accidentally. Have replaced with a cheaper screwtop and generic logbook. Am hoping work to redevelop the tunnel as a cycle/walking path will begin sooner rather than later - when it does, this cache will be archived.
PS - no, Shelob's Hallway was removed by the CO before the tunnel was gated shut.

We found this cache after a bit of looking but sad to say someone has ruined it.
Cooper Clan has let us know the final has been muggled and container destroyed. Looks like logbook is still there, but soaked. That's been a successful "invisible in plain sight" hide for ten years, so a pity this has happened now. Will do maintenance shortly.
Thanks for the heads up supernanny. Checked what was going on today.
The cutting on the Caversham side of the tunnel is gated off because the Rockyside Road footbridge is being renovated (good news!), and the footbridge scaffolding is in the cutting.
Cache still fine and can be done on non-work days without any problems, provided you are happy stepping over the gates and walking under the scaffolding.
We met another couple in the cutting, not cachers, just curious about the Tunnels Trail. DCC has approved funding for the trail!

Just wondering if this cache is still viable?
Was fine when I got it in 2016...but came back today with a geo mate and seems to be all fenced off....
Thanks.

Oh wow, this was an interesting one!
More of a multi-mystery than a letterbox, as you still need GPS to figure out the final location.
But I really enjoyed discovering this location.
Looks like there are some works going on at the end of Lindsay Rd and there is a scaffold up from the bottom of the cutting to the road level. So maybe week days work hours are not the best to try and come here at the moment. Today was completely quiet though, public holiday and all.
Once my train came to a halt, I started digging around in the leaves and the mud, and couldn't find anything for a while. I did not realize, this is only a waypoint with a clue for the final. Then I spotted something - is this a cache? Very strange container for it!?
And only then I found out that this is an intermediate stage.
Got the final coords and off I went to finish it off. All good there.
My curiosity spotted an access possibility to the tunnel and I went down to have a look.
I wonder if Shelob's Hallway cache is actually still there? Almost tempted to take gummies and find out, next time coming down to Dunedin.
All and all, I'll leave an FP for this one, I really enjoyed the hunt.
Kia ora! Paldies!

Found this today we'll shannyn did after going out the other day and getting the coordinates to find the final was good we hunt added some trinkets and kids grabbed a few snagged the stamp for or book that we will now start found with Shannyn dontae skyla and Luke brownienz
Gotcha. After getting confused last time came again. This time I saw the light and got the prize. And my hands are still reasonably keen, well as clean as they ever are after a day geocaching. Nice to get a letterbox so inked up my stamps and put down our marks. Nice little stamp for the book as well.
Many thanks. Gets a fave for the tunnel and stamp.

Went back to the final this morning and scratched my head for awhile before figuring out a likely hiding spot and there is was. FP from me. Thank you for the cache.

Previous log date is inaccurate. Log is dated 8 April 2021 but was posted 11 June 2021, along with other find logs in sequential order one per day, evidently as part of an "online logging streak". Find logs should be dated as the actual day the cache was found.
I've heard nothing but great things about this letterbox hybrid since first becoming interested in finding real AQ letterboxes throughout Southland, Fiordland and Central Otago. Converting a new AQ owner (snaffling a FTF on his new box) and adopting an American box for my first real letterbox hybrid. Sadly easily confused with a traditional park'n'grab throwdown. GPSr helped you find the carpark in the rain 290km from home for one smilie.
Used the co'ods to get us partially the WP, solved the LBH puzzle and continued to the final. There is a lot of history here, as some of the game players from the early years would testify much excitement was generated grabbing their smilies and awarding many fav's for a deserving cache. Have the eightieth fav courtesy of my luvly sponsor repaid in kind.
While there was some mud in the micro, I cleaned and dried the cache and changed the bags for a new one to fit the tube. It doesn't get many visits and a fallen tree has been recently cleared up. Sauntered over to the final and picked up the screwtop. Some swag got swapped while the logbook got stamped since some letterboxes seem to be missing their stamp and I don't get much chance to use my stamp if the logbook is missing or just too small. The large bag was ripped but goods were dry in the roomy cache. One of my earliest memories of traveling to Dunnas Hospital, or business was spotting the gated mine? entrance in the hillsides but somehow the view has changed over the years or I can't remember where it was now with so much development around here. A bit confused by this one. Is it offset from gz or not? Tried both to the obvious and yes got muddy hands for no reward.
New Zealand is under Level 4 lockdown from today for at least a month, because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am disabling all my caches for the meantime to remind people that we MUST break the chain of infection.
Covid-19 is now being spread within the community, person to person. We know that the virus will remain on surfaces like metal and plastic for up to 4 days.
We have only one chance to stop the Covid-19 virus spreading further. This is to BREAK the chain of infection by keeping each household separated completely. During this time each of us MUST keep isolated and only share with the people in our own household.
The best advice is to act as though you are infected... which you might be. We know there are cases in Dunedin... I might be infected and so might you.
If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.
Playground equipment is out of bounds for exactly that reason- touching surfaces can spread infection.
Each of us has to do our bit to save lives. If the Covid-19 virus spreads, a lot of us will die. Maybe your grandmother, or my friend who has just had a bone-marrow transplant.
Stay home, stay safe, let's get to the other side of the pandemic before we go geocaching again.

I found the waypoint when out walking late last year but couldn’t head for the final that day (and got quite muddy hands in the process!). Finally made the stop to sign the book today.
I had heard of this place with the reports about the proposed bike track. Looking forward to when that happens.

Zusammen mit Panne Koppa und Mini_JayJay gerne diese besondere Letterbox angegangen. Das erwartet man nicht so dicht und unscheinbar neben der Straße... Sehr cool und hier lasse ich auch gerne einen FP zurück.

I started my great and unique round trip over the South Island in Christchurch.
My first major stopover was at Lake Tapeko - here I hiked up to Observation Mountain.
I then planned two days in Mount Cook NP with some unforgettable hikes. My big goal was the Mueller Hut - on a super strenuous hike I reached it.
I continued my journey over the lonely Danseys Pass to Dunedin.
Afterwards I drove along the Southern Scienic Route via Invercargill to Manapouri for some days. On this route I visited many sights and enjoyed the beautiful nature again and again.
I already booked a tour to the Doubtful Sound in advance - another highlight on my tour.
Afterwards I drove on to Queensown and Wanaka. From there I continued over the Haast Pass to the lonely Jackson Bay with storm and heavy rain. Afterwards I drove along the west coast always in pouring rain.
The rain stopped the whole west coast, but I had good rainwear with me. Only high up in Nelson the sun shone again.
Soon I reached the east coast again in Picton and Blenheim and the sun was shining again.
After a few days I travelled back to Christchurch via the beautiful town of Kaikoura.
At the end of my round trip I spent a few more days in Christchurch and its surroundings.
I visited many geological sites and found many caches on my round trip. In Rangiora I visited an event.
I travelled 3418 km and take home a lot of positive experiences.
Thanks to many beautiful caches I was also shown unique locations, historical sites and geological features.
I am overwhelmed by the fantastic and ever changing nature on the South Island of New Zealand - I will definitely come back.
Many thanks to all owners

What an epic little journey. On my way to Flagstaff Hill but couldn't really pass this one by. Thank you for sharing. There are so many caches in Dunedin worthy of FPs, such as this one... but I've run out... again.
Found during our NZL Trip!

Started this with P&vee and today was a dot day (Second last one) and being closer to home I chose this cache. It was really cool to go to the tunnel as I have never been there before. The puzzle was a good one and gladly we have found the final. TFTC daywalk
Adding this one to our DNF list. No luck! We finally figured out how to get to the tunnel but found nothing here...
With the end of the souvenir hunt looming it's my turn for a trip to Dunedin. Was unable to make it last weekend, but looking at the points of those who raided I have a good idea where to go...
Hubby and I wandered through the cutting and soon found the way point. Nothing from my kit needed here other than the wetwipes!
He pointed out the cables recessed into the curtin wall that he reckons took power though the tunnel.
Rotated as needed the made for the logbook. All in order here with a different view. If there should be a separate letterboxing logbook there isn't.
Thanks for the smilie daywalk.

This is one cache I have been meaning to do for awhile so set off with eve07. I can understand the number of favorite points this cache has got. When Vee was at cubs she walked though this tunnel and the Mrs VDH56 said she had red marks on her hand for the next week. Thanks for the cache and memories. The hint makes sense now.
We arrived just in Dunedin and we had to this one, because we really like do Letterboxes especially in combination with a lost place. It tooks a while to find a way to the coordinates but we managed it. Wow what a wonderful way! Awesome. After then it was like a homeplay to find the box. My son was so happy and me too! We will like a blue heart for this one. Thanks for the cache!
Day 3 in Newzealand. Today we drove from Dunedin to Te Anau.

Heute folgt mit Heckenstürmer der zweite Transfertag von Dunedin nach Te Anau. Eine Recht grosse Strecke, bei der wir uns beim abwechselten. Aber dennoch konnten ein paar Dosen eingesammelt werden...
We had spent the morning shopping and planned to go to try to find some caches that are a bit further afield this afternoon but when the wind came up we decided to look for a few that were around town.
We thought we would come and pick up another letterbox cache to add to our statistics, this one turned out to be more than we bargained for.
Had I read the cache page before arriving at the waypoint I would have brought my glasses with me, but noooooo in my usual style I only read the cache page once I am out in the field.
You were correct about getting dirty hands, thank fully GK was with me for this one as he found and opened it, hence he got the dirty hands. Then I had to work out what to do with what I had, thank goodness for google.
Then we headed for the final, we ended up driving up some very skinny steep streets, (in our campervan) so it was very lucky that no one was coming the other way. Had we known Dunedin a bit better I a sure we would not have relied on google to get us to where we had to be. As we arrived at the final, I was initially unsure that this was where we were meant to be, so I rechecked my numbers, everything seemed to be okay so we went for a bit of a wander and soon enough it all became clear.
Thanks for placing this cache and of course thank you for the smiley

I started this letterbox over a year ago and DNF'ed the final due to muggles at GZ. I was back in Dunedin today, so revisited GZ to take another look and this time made a quick find of the cache at GZ! TFTC!.
Really cool! A bit of Iron horse feeling, yet it is not possible to get through.
Thanks for the interesting historical information and the experience. Quick find at the end.

This is the coolest spot I've seen in a long while! Didn't even know there was a tunnel here. And a nice little find as well. Tftc!
Have known about this old tunnel for years but never had a good reason to take a look until now. Visited the waypoint during daylight to collect instructions for the final but ran out of time to do any more. Some spare time in the evening gave the opportunity I needed to go for the smiley. GPS was a few metres off but I spotted the likely location on arrival. Gets a favourite for the waypoint location and for the final hide. Would love to see this tunnel reopened for walking & cycling access. TFTC
All things about trains fascinate me, including the infrastructure past and present. Not from Dunedin, wasn't even aware there was an old tunnel, or much about the new one. Thanks for history lesson.
This was an interesting one. Had a cacher with us who had previously found this one so he was a great help. TFTC
What an awesome cache. So much fun. The adventures getting from go to whoa! Won't say more other than certainly deserves the fp I'm giving it. And really the DCC ought to make that a cycle way. It's such a cool place. Thanks for the hide and the wee challenge at WP1. #3043
While on holiday, I decided to do a few caches around and the best ones. This was a very good caches, but without giving more clues, ii didn't know I had to cycle that far. Tftc.
It is a lovely place that even some locals don't really know about. Shame it is not open.

Dot day for me today I have quite a few in April some free time today so found this cache. Now starting to rain with snow forecast on the hills tonight.
Thanks for bringing me here it would be good if they could get the tunnel open to walk and bike through. Favourite point from me.

Great spot for clue to waypoint!! Wouldn’t like to go there in the dark!! Final found easily enough, but no idea why it’s called a letterbox Cache? What am I missing. Had to hide from a muggle at the final but good hiding spots here! TFTC!
I had an extended Labour Weekend down in Otago and today went for a drive out to the Otago Peninsula. After that I had a bit of time to kill before heading to the airport, so I did this letterbox along the way. Found the necessary info at the really cool first waypoint, then worked out the location of the final and set off to find the cache. Unfortunately my search was foiled by a group of hi-viz vested muggles hanging around GZ, so I couldn't look for the cache. I'll have to save this for my next visit to Dunedin. Thanks anyway.
We went to the starting point with a bit of hestitation as it was not clear was we were up to. However, this letterbox is a perfect way to show this place. Clearly a favorite.
Down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Jag50 and Bertie Blowfish. We were driving back to Dunedin to fly home after our adventure. Having limited time available we targeted a few old caches and ones with high favourites. This was a great little hidden gem. We made quick work here and headed through the windy streets to the final.
Cool little starting spot, thanks for bringing us here. With the help of the internet we quickly solved what was needed, hopped in the car and found the next bit. TFTC
Down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish. Found the necessary info and thoroughly enjoyed this with really cool surrounds.
Two danes touring NZ
What a place to visit. A shame we cant enter the tunnel.
But the biggest laugh was how my girllfriend reacted when we left up the nearbe serpentine streets in our rental.
I love to see these special historic sights one doesnt see as a tourist.

Didn't realize this was a multi too. Fun little puzzle. Stunning spot, hadn't been here since I was a kid. Shame you can't walk right through anymore. Mucky hands is about right. Bring a cloth. Tftc
Found waypoint info yesterday, solved the puzzle last night and found the final cache today. Enjoyed this one very much, even getting down and dirty! TFTC
Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories! TFTC.
Found while on a winter holiday with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, setting our tent up at a different campsite each night. We didn't have any real plan, just went where the caches took us we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day as 3 weeks isn't really that long!
Enjoyed the adventure! TFTC!

Finally got round to doing this one, and after a tip from the owner my objective all became clear (first letterbox). Great fun, on an adventure with Mum. TFTC
been living nearby for a wee while and didn't even know this tunnel was right there so accessible!! and i'm a train nut so i should have known! thanks for the cache. was a lot of fun pretending to be an NZGR steam loco chugging down the cutting! wife wasn't so impressed and only gave a half-hearted choo choo.... sigh.
TFTC!

Had so much fun finding this one! We live just up the hill and never knew the exact location of the tunnel so a very fun way to spend some of the day shame they had to close it down! TFTC
Yohooo! Got it!!! The only letterbox we had found in NZ... went to the GZ twice, because we couldn't understand ar first, what to do. Found the wrong hint too. Task part "duck in behind the wooden fence" was really confusing.
Thank you very much. Found it with kazhe.
Greetings from Latvia!

Sadly we did not get a chance to make a longer train ride during our trip to New Zealand - the only time when we got on the train was from the suburbs to the center of Auckland. However at least we visited this tunnel and got a chance to pretend that we were a train.
We did get a bit confused with the description first and had some problems with the corners, but eventually everything became clear and the cache was found.
It's sad how many railway lines are closed nowadays, not just in New Zealand - in many countries, even from my beloved Zasulauks you can't get to a lot of places that were on the map recently.
Anyway - thanks for the cache and for showing us the tunnel! (found the cache together with SNlEGS)

Day 1 of my impromptu trip south to Dunedin. Planned entirely at the last minute on Tuesday, for travel on Wednesday and Thursday. I flew down from Christchurch and picked up a free rental car, then started the fairly indirect route back north, via Oamaru to stay the night. Knowing I wouldn’t have time to get every single cache (who would), I decided on a fairly all over the place list of caches I thought I would be doing well to get to. Thanks to all the CO’s along the way. Great bit of abandoned infrastructure here, another one of my favourite things, easily a favourite. TFTC (2733)
A long time in the planning but this "once in a lifetime" holiday has finally come to fruition and will see us travelling around as much of New Zealand as we can manage in six weeks. This is not a caching trip, Yvonne doesn't participate but she does tolerate, so I hope to pick up a few here and there. And it's great to get away from the English Winter!
Day 4
Today saw us flying from Auckland to Dunedin with the intention of picking up maybe just 2 or 3 caches. However, it was not to be with just the one attempted and failed on.
Still jet-lagged I failed to comprehend fully what was required. I made some progress then faltered with what to do with what I found. An exchange of emails with the CO has clarified matters (thank-you) but I doubt whether I now have time to compete this.....
BaSHful.

Bit stressful getting to the first waypoint as we were heading west out of town. Parked on Burnett and were pleasantly surprised with how easily we crossed the busy road. Should have read the description as the first waypoint was surprisingly not the cache! We got over our surprise quickly, and headed to the final where we made a quick find of a nicely hidden and well stocked container. It would be great to hear about the tunnel re-opening one day. TFTC and the history lesson about this hidden gem!
Out with the Pandrs for the day. I have lived in Dunedin for over 30 years and never been here. Hate to think how many times I have driven past both locations. Thanks for doing this cache and making me go to this place otherwise, I never would have. Gets a favourite, esp as we looked in the wrong corner first (LOL)
Out and about in our beautiful city with Doully and his better half. Exploring and cacheing, with catering supplied, (thank you). Despite the freezing rain last night today has been wonderful getting warmer as the day progressed. A really enjoyable day out. I have looked at this before and today was the day. Well worth the effort. This is a favourite for us , we learnt heaps and visited a place I have always known about but never visited. Hopefully the DCC will grow a brain cell at some point and utilise this feature of our heritage.
Down in Dunedin for the weekend to visit family and to attend graduation, but was able to get away to target a few certain caches while I was down here. There were still a cache or two I was hoping to grab before we needed to head off to the airport, so managed to sneak of breifly to grab a few more finds.
This one was the closest cache to where we had been staying and it looked quite intriguing. Wandered down to the cache and was amazed this place is tucked away out of sight. Took a few photos before located WP1 and solving for the final coords. Had to walk to the final, but it was good to streach the legs before sitting on a plane for an hour or two. Quick find once at the final GZ, thanks for the enjoyable letterbox cache.

I have set myself a mission to find 5 diverse and 20 caches in total and this is 5/5 and 20/20. Mission completion as the Little Einsteins would say. (young kids) Its only 2100 hrs too and the wife is still talking to me. Had to get a little help from Hall-Way on this one thanks. I found the first waypoint much earlier in the day, lucky because there was no way I would have headed down that ally after dark. It was freaky enough in daylight. Walked past an old motorbike helmet and I was convinced it would have an old skull in it. This would have been such a cool bike track. DCC sort it out! The cache was in very good condition thanks, took the geo-coin so will move it on soon. Thanks for keeping this one going, Signed, photographed and DONE!!!. Thanks, R-H
Today I have been granted a caching day by my lovely wife. (I’ll pay for it later I’m sure) so T-R-B and Roaming - Hayward will be completing 20 in a day and hopefully 5 diverse.
This is find number 20/20 and 5/5 for the diverse caching mission. What can I say, its been a long day but lots of fun. Its now 9pm and thanks to some help from Hall-Way, I have completed this letter box cache. The first waypoint was found much earlier in the day, an eerie track leading to the tunnel. Glad it was done in daylight. Thanks for keeping this one alive. Logbook signed and the photo taken.
Thanks for the cache. T-R-B

Picked this cache up with Roaming Haywards, The Real Batman and Poison Dart. It was well past my bed time but we were in Dunedin for a Christmas party. Lots of trades so I swapped a bracelet for a pencil sharpener. Thanks for the cache, H&T
Picked this cache up with Roaming Haywards, The Real Batman and Hannah & Ted. It was well past my bed time but we were in Dunedin for a Christmas party. Didn’t take very long to grab this one, dad had found the first waypoint this morning. Thanks for the cache, Poison Dart
We didn't get time to find many caches in Dunedin, so glad this was one of them. We'd have never seen the Caversham Tunnel without the cache and this tunnel is amazing! An awesome cache for so many reasons. It's caches like this that drain our favourite points....another one coming your way. TFTC daywalk, left Bibrain's Traveling Well Rounded Cacher Geocoin.
At twilight. As a child living in Concord I used to have adventures with my friends in the tunnel. TFTC
