Found - BUT NOT AT GZ

We had a good hunt on the way out without success. While I was collecting the cache at the end, my Mrs found this one’s container in the rock cairn at the end (see attached photo). We decided to leave it there, looks like it was moved a couple of months back by the entries in the log.

TFTC even if it was covering two locations!

02-Mar-19
Cache container has been moved some months back to the cairn at Bald Head. Left it there covered by rocks so it’s not so obvious.

27-Jan-19
Container replaced

Headed out to Bald head today with Richlink.

Had a good 5hr return trip after grabbing some caches around the area first.

Amazing views from this walk, was surprised at how undulating the terrain was, I guess the satellite map doesn’t quite show that!

Highly recommend doing these caches.

Thanks for a great days fun.

Mr richlink picked up Barnzy12 at around 7am for a caching foray on the Torndirrup Peninsula.
The real intention was to do the Bald Head Trail and pick up a few other caches on the way. Placed a new sistema on the right hand side of the track under a bush. The spot where the cache had previously been placed has a sleep slope immediately behind it and we suspect the container has slid down into the abyss. Awesome scenery. Thanks Team Shermy for giving us the incentive to do this trek.

Spent far to long here. I found a limestone as in allinaday’s log. But no smiley. I will have a quick look on the return.

It was late afternoon and we were not too sure how far we would get in an hour as that’s about all the time to sun set we had. Chrome Dome was certainly too far but the other three were completed. Great views along the way with the tall granites, the bay on one side and surf on the other. A lovely pink sunset but it was time to head back with fading light. The light dropped on the last slab so we lost the track but thanks to the satellite image and some bush bashing we soon picked up the track again. TFTC.

W walked the Bald Head trail this morning and collected some caches along the way. Beautiful views from this location. We had a good hunt around the area and came up empty handed. We came prepared though, and have placed a new cache container at this location. For ease of finding it without damaging the surrounding vegetation, we have placed it on the left hand side of the track as you go towards Bald Head. It is in the bush, very close to the track and has a limestone stone placed on top of it.

With four days down in Albany decided to do some caching. This little series was top of the list because they were conveniently on a walk I really wanted to complete. The rest of the gang couldn't be bothered with a 16km return walk so I braved it on my own. The series were all relatively easy finds, that provided nice breaks in the walk to take in the amazing views. Thanks for placing the series here, was a joy to complete. TFTC

For our last day of the Albany caching holiday the Bald Head was on the to do list. Left the car park before 9 and found the one on the Isthmus and continued our trip further towards the far end. Once at GZ we found the cache in seconds, as it was not covered too much. TFTH

Day 3 in Albany and we decided to spend it in the Torndirrup National Park taking in the views and a few caches along the way. We thought we might trek out to Bald Head but ran out of oomph (ie fitness) and made it to Bald Spot but picked up our 2,5000th cache along the way. It was another beautiful sunny day and we got to see the park and coast line at its best. The only thing missing were a few whales swimming by Cool.

A quick find and excuse for a rest and nut bar on our return journey.

Thanks for the cache Team Shermy [^] - all was good and dry

Wish Albeany was here. This one is in need of a new container. Plastic lid is brittle and broken. If you are coming to find it, brink a new one.

Day off work and hadn't been out along Bald Head trail for a long while. Weather was looking ok so after some morning jobs headed off. Only got caught in one small shower and narrowly missed another.

Only went out as far as GC3W46W (Bald Spot) which ended up being a 5.5km round trip as had some mid afternoon jobs still to do.

Left a couple of trackables.

Receding hairline became more so today with the strong winds buffeting the area. Blustery walk out, however it made the walk cooler. TFTC

A wild and windswept spot, well worth travelling to and stopping at. The storms moving in were clearly visible and kept us moving on.

Out for a day's caching with MTKEus we decided to do the Bald Head walk which has to have the best views in all of Albany. Thanks Shermy for adding a couple of stops along the way. We had a great day and this certainly added to it.

# 4877

Today I was picked up by Robert (tangowithcupcake) to walk the Bald Head Trail. It was a 15 km return walk, quite tough, a small track up and down, but we made it in 5 hours to the Bald Head and back to the car park.

I have to do some more training, too much office work Wink

Thanks Robert for showing me this great track with spectacular views, although I cannot walk any more today.
This cache was found easily.

TFTC and best regards from Germany.

Our GPSr had us searching on the wrong side of the path but thanks to the log from Albany Canucks we soon found the cache. A stunningly beautiful coastline with so much geology to explore. TFTC.

Found with a group of six (including several geocachers) while enjoying the hike to Bald Head this morning. Cache was about 8m away from GZ (as confirmed by three separate GPSrs), and was completely exposed and in the open. We moved it into a bush about a meter west of the main trail, and closer to the current coordinates, where it should be a straight-forward find for future geocachers, and hopefully be safe from attacking muggles. Great spot and great walk. Thanks Team Shermy for making the Bald Head walk even more enjoyable with the help of these caches.

Found this one on the way to Bald head this morning. There was a group of six of us. What a great walk, and a wonderful way to view God's awesome creation. TFTC

Decided to complete the caches on Bald Head and had planned the trip for earlier in the year however for various reasons we needed to cancel. Today we (Albany Getaway, Albany Canucks, Rotkost) and another keen walker, set off early and completed the three caches. A great walk and an area in Albany that can only be appreciated by completing the walk. Absolute fantastic and breathtaking views.

Walk is suitable for all ages as Geo-Joey came along (11 yrs old) and apart from not finding the abundant flies being cooperative, he completed the walk in better condition than some of the other walkers (papa Boomer included). We completed the walk in 5 hrs with many stops and a lengthy one at the Chrome Dome.

the three caches are in good condition and thanks for the caches.
