Logs
This cache has been a pain to maintain since it was first hidden.
We were alerted that the cache was removed, and in it's place was a note that stated:
"We took your thing... Hope you didn't need it "
Cache was replaced, but the log was removed by council. Cache was replaced, but a cyclone washed it away. Cache was replaced and it once again disappeared.
The longest survivor was a key hide in the shape of a rock, hidden in plain site.
Unfortunately, the last remaining log has been cleared from the site and the cache with it.
I can not expect MattCNS to continue to maintain this pain of a cache on our behalf so I will archive the cache to free up the spot. I hope someone (hinting at you MattCNS) will continue the Ross River Power Trail and fill the holes as our caches fade away.
Cheers

No big log, no little log. No logs at all. No idea if this cache is still alive. A big DNF from us.
had a quick look here as part of the WhereIgo walk.
had a bit of a scratch around, but came up empty handed
didn't look to hard, we had a walk to complete

Champs2Monkeys are heading south, and as such can not maintain this cache.
^dventurers has kindly offered to maintain this cache on our behalf. C+2M are very appreciative for her help and will maintain a supply of replacement caches and stores.
Those that have contacted us to also offer help, I thank you for the offer, but ^dventurers beat you to it. I passed your names to ^dventurers and she will reach out to you if she needs assistance in maintaining this cache.
To all the Townsville Cachers, thank you for the hunt, and if you’re in the ACT, look us up.
Cheers

Out and about with MPP and RobS72 to grab some new caches and find some that have been on the radar for far too long. I've been here a couple of times before but the cache had been muggled on both occasions. My luck was better today though. I'm glad to finally have a smiley for this one which means I now have all the C+2M RRPT caches. Thanks Champs2Monkeys for the cache.
Out with MattCns and RobS72, and again the boys had this one pretty quick. Cool cache!
After an easy find for Geodaughter at Split in the Trail she ran to this one. After reading the hint she was all over this one. Love the container. TFTC SL
During a business trip to Townsville I took some time at night to try for some caches. Tonight's adventures took me to the riverwalk area. My main focus was the Wherigo cache as I have recently completed my first one of these and wanted to try again. There were also a few other caches around that I would try for along the way!
Another little find on the Wherigo way. Quick find and an extra luck with a path tag find! Log book wet and pretty much unusable. Thanks for the hide.

Sometimes it’s right under your nose, found by geokids. Log full, did not have suitable replacement, have to start carrying a few bits and bobs. TFTC.
Nice and easy one for a change after we tried unsuccessfully to get the cache out at lacking liquidity
Visiting from Melbourne and have been waiting for a breezy nite to cache. Just found it yay! Didnt sign it though coz I couldnt find a pen. TFTC.hints may need updating ; )
Our walk continued to the Big Log Cache, here we found the Cache in the likely hiding spot. The log book looks as though it has been shortened by a previous finder and therefore at this time it is full. There were a lot of people on the water today.
[green]M[/green][blue]e[/blue][red]r[/red][yellow]r[/yellow][orange]y[/orange] Christmas
I think aliens have invaded and possessed my wife. At some God early hour she says "Let's go and get today's cache". This is from the woman who likes nothing more than a sleep in and it's Christmas Day.
At least this cache is not too far from home and it won't be a long ride then - right? Wrong, after quickly finding the cache, she suggests we continue on and complete the Riverway loop - Now I'm sure the Body Snatchers are here!!!
Seems we are not the only silly people as there were plenty of other people out on the path.
The caching streak continues.

Find number 10 of 39 on our cityside RRPT caching day! 41.6km over 7 hours. Many thanks to ICP for lending us their bikes [^].
After a dnf last visit we were very happy to turn this one into a smiley today . Good thing Pagan was around as Loki would probably have missed it! Log is getting full but there are a couple more spots left. Didn't have replacements with us sorry. Fingers crossed this version hangs around .
Thanks Champs2Monkeys

North Qld 2013. Day 9 was my first full day in Townsville and today was the day to hit the Ross River Power trail. After fixing my bike up, I set out and visited a large range of caches along the river. It was a good range of caches some easy, some hard. I did not do them all but enjoyed everything I managed. . Thanks.

Unable to claim this one today due to Council workers maintaining the gardens and irrigation system close by. Will be back soon.
Well! No sooner had I posted the DNF, the Council Workers packed up and moved on. So I swooped in and claimed the prize quickly. TFTC SL {#262}.
Found at 12:59 PM in the company of The Drovers GAFF1. We loved that song - Big Log by Robert Plant:
My love is in league with the freeway
It's passion will rise as the cities fly by
And the tail lights dissolve in the coming of night
And the questions and thousands take flight....
Never really understood any of it! However with this cache we did understand. Where to put that sort of container on a big log? Maybe beside it in the hollows? When we did spot the cache on the little log - it so looked ready to be picked up and thrown away by a muggle. So before leaving we covered it up with a bit of dirt just to make it look a bit less conspicuous.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys.

Our second day out caching with pprass.
We took the bikes to do another section of the RRPT trail.
Looked around for a few minutes, cache was where we expected it to be, but not hidden how we expected.
Thanks for the cache, Champs2Monkeys.

The 3rd find of a daily trifecta for Mrs Preeds (incl the WWFM this morning). Thanks to the big hound for the cover. Cool container & daring hide. TFTC TNLN
Pretty bold hide if you ask me, but well placed and hopefully will stay that way for a long time to come. TFTC
Cache replaced.
Will post some slightly altered co-ords and change the hint.

Doesn't surprise me. It's gone 4 times before.
I have one last idea to keep this from being muggled. If this doesn't work, this one will move.
Will fix tomorrow.

First of my holiday caches and it got off to an extremely shaky start. I searched and searched. My boys searched and searched. Re read the logs and found that there was two previous DNF!!! Not looking good. Made the call and gave up and left GZ. About 15m away from GZ lying in the open was the beast. Formalities conducted and cache was re hidden back where I thought it was meant to be.

Had a bit of a search but couldn't locate it. Maybe a day time search might be helpful.
This cache eluded me again today. I'll try again when I come to pick up the RRPT caches I couldn't get today due to high muggle activity. TFTH.
Not satisfied with stealing the cache, twice, this time someone has taken the entire log. It's gone. I will rename this cache when I get home..... to "Big Log"
Given the previous logs I didn't have much hope for this one but thought I'd have a look anyway. Nope it wasn't to be. I am pretty sure this one has gone.

Can't help thinking these caches are being targeted.
Disabled while I decide whether or not to replace.

A quick search yielded nothing and given previous logs, we elected not to hunt harder. A nice shady area .
Spent awhile here and looked in lots of likely places to no avail. Will return another time
Great hide beautiful walk TFTC

I can't believe some people.
If we replace this one, we will find a new hiding spot

Pretty sure that this has been muggled as I found a note that read "Sorry we took your things. Hope you didn't need them" in a hiding place that matched the description.
We located the little log and were rewarded with a nicely placed cache.
Thanks Champs and the 2 monkeys for this hide.

Following the trail around riverway, this little one was next tftc. took nothing. left star. sl.
Continuing on the power trail I found myself closer to the river looking at what I thought was the cache name. It was only when I found the original choice that I spotted the second choice and made the find. Cache had fallen right through though but I put it back how it was supposed to be I think.
Thanks!
Thanks!
This was our 2nd cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 08:40.
(So this is our 4773rd total find.)
Found quickly, after investigating a smaller hole first.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing

Decided to take my geobro along for this powertrail trip to help run interference and spot muggles. A quick and uneventful find. Best logbook I've seen! I hope this one doesn't get wet TFTC.
Decided to drop the family off at the Riverway Lagoons and take a stroll up to look for the three newest additions to the Ross River Power Trail.
Found the big log with the little hole then spotted the little log with the big hole.
Felt a bit nervous reaching in to claim the prize but no creepy crawlies came out with the cache thankfuly.
Another nice one in the series.
Cheers and happy caching.

To the monkey who put the log book in this cache - thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. It was the prettiest log book I've ever seen. TFTC. TN left small eraser.
after a walk by the river depositing as many rocks and sticks as possible we arrived at gz. one big log, one little log , and hopefully one brand new log. geodad had the duties of reaching in for the stash ( rhymes with cache ) opened up to find a neat little logbook which was fresh as a daisy. sl. t : pathtag l : rubiks cube. where will this power trail end ...... who knows??? there is a lot of river and C2M like most of us have OCD ( obsessive caching disorder ) so we can rely on this monster providing us with a plethora of hides to come.
