Good Day,

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Hey guys!

Just letting you know this Cache is broken!
I have the log and bison with me at home and will contact the owners about maintenance.

Thank you for helping me get my 50 finds before the end of 2017!

Happy New year!

Hi guys the spring system in this Cache snapped today, it looks like the wire has rusted through.

I couldn’t collect all the pieces as the local residents were getting suspicious of my loitering.

I have the bison at home if you’d like to contact me.

Somethings fell into place which meant a trip to town was on the cards so we got planning on what to do and which puzzles to try and solve.
An interesting field puzzle with a twist. We soon worked out what to do and completed the signing duties. TFTC. A favourite point from us.

I do enjoy a game of pinball, despite not being very good at it... So I made sure to find this cache on my trip to Townsville. Using all my skills, I quickly had the cache in hand and signed. TFTC!

09-May-17
Found easily, although phone said we were ten metres off. But we couldn't get it to fire! Is there more to it than pulling the cable? It didn't feel like we were triggering anything. Someone else fired it off yesterday, so perhaps we weren't doing it right.
Thanks anyway!

The odd thing about this one on arrival, was that I thought the cache itself would be a bit more concealed, so I headed down toward the path to seek out the container. You can imagine my surprise when after not finding it, I returned to the higher level and spotted it in plain sight... Hmm... How did I miss that on approach... Red Face

I moved in and did the obvious to extract the cache and access the log. Name quickly added, I dropped it back and shot through as I was feeling very exposed where I was. Surprised

Nicely constructed cache that offers something different. A favourite point from me for that. Big Grin

Cheers Champs2Monkeys

Easy find and heaps of fun. Tension cable may need some TLC as fraying and caught geokids skin. CO might also need to check as first couple of attempts could hear the bison moving but was catching in the tube. A little tap on the sides and some gentle coaxing finally got it to 'fire'. Excellent cache

We have found a lot of the TSV caches, noticed this one has the most favourite points in town, So I decided today was the day to find out why this cache is so highly rated! Found GZ easily, as the tool required to obtain the cache was quickly noticed. Although our phone was saying we were still about 10 metres off GZ. Took us a couple of minutes to work out how to extract the cache (couple of small jumping spiders have taken up residence on the cache) but we quickly caught the cache and signed the log. We enjoyed the cache and we were not disappointed. This cache is worthy of it's favourite points. TFTC. Next stop another up and coming mystery cache; A box of red herrings. 01-02-2017 LC85

Thanks for the great hide. Once at the GZ i stood there for a moment trying to work the cache out when i felt something on my leg. I then looked down to see i was covered in big ants. After doing a dance to get rid of them i managed to retrieve the cache.

Pulled up here and 2 muggles were washing down the roof of the nearest house. Thought we might have to give this one a miss but we managed to provide enough cover with ourselves and the bikes to get it.
A hide type that we've come across many times before but with a real twist! Thanks, a favourite point from us.

This morning we walked along the river to do the RRPT series but drove here to complete the series. A clever idea and a great cache. We're no 'pinball wizards' so it took a few goes to get the technique right and the log container was projected from the hide and signed. It may be the ring on the bison gets caught occasionally. Thanks for and interesting cache MattCNS and Champs, we stopped at this cache on one of our repeat Townsville road trips for the favourite souvenir.

05-Jul-15
Love it! Took about 2 minutes to find once at the spot and about 1 minute to work it out (had that 'ohhh, of coooourse' moment lol). TFTC C2M!

It was time to get on the pushbikes and see how many caches we could find along the bike trail. A nice warm sunny winter's day made for a very pleasant few hours riding along the riverside path. A very ingenious cache well worthy of a favourite point.

Today's caching mission on day 3 of our annual Townsville visit with the in- laws was to clean some of the 20 or so solved (but not found) puzzles as well any interesting, higher difficulty caches along the way.

One of my targets today was to get to know the C2M family by doing the sheriff cache. I am about halfway through this adventure, when this puzzle pops up. Interesting! So I diverted off the trail for a game of pinball. I recklessly flitted away many a lunch hour at university with a cold beer and a wicked pinball machine. So I felt well qualified for this cache. Took two goes before the bison rained down on me from above.

Great concept and a well executed container.

Thanks for the cache, C2M

There were a couple of caches along this route that I was unable to get to on my last visit. I was doing the nearby whereto, and at night that dog nearby just would not shut up!. Today I was back and had time to give it a go again.
It took a while to find the field puzzle as the coords were about 10 meters out by my GPSr (a problem a few others have noted in their logs), but eventually I saw something that didn't belong. A very apt name for the is puzzle, and a novel approach to caching indeed. A fave Pt for me.
Well played.

Champs2Monkeys are heading south, and as such can not maintain this cache.

^dventurers has kindly offered to maintain this cache on our behalf. C+2M are very appreciative for her help and will maintain a supply of replacement caches and stores.

Those that have contacted us to also offer help, I thank you for the offer, but ^dventurers beat you to it. I passed your names to ^dventurers and she will reach out to you if she needs assistance in maintaining this cache.

To all the Townsville Cachers, thank you for the hunt, and if you’re in the ACT, look us up.

Cheers

We were walking around the Whereigo cache, when we realised that there were a lot of other caches on the way round. This was the first one and we came over for a look - it took quite some effort to get to the log sheet!

Working our way around the nearby Wherigo, so stopped by here on the way. Took a while to get it to operate correctly and nearly gave up. A different sort of mystery cache.

The number of little red spanners on our caches is growing.

Work has been crazy busy, but I guess we really need to go out and mend/check a few of these.

We'd left today's cache very late in the day, we arrived in the company of 2N's and it took a while for us to discover the cache.

Once found the previous log became clearer and we soon had the ball in our hands. THe logg book is full but 2N's opted to add a new one to the container.

This cache has been on my 'Must Complete' list for far too long. So today I decided it was time to come out and find this one. Located the cache quickly once I reached the GZ. Remembering my misspent youth playing Pinball machines, I found the cache mechanism easy to operate. But nothing seemed to happen! I tried a few more times, but again, nothing. I thought I'd move onto the next cache to give me some time to think about what I must be doing wrong. So I turned around and there laying on the ground was the shiny contents belonging to the cache. It had worked first time, I just didn't hear it land. I quickly signed the log and returned the contents ready for the next Pinballer. TFTC C2M. Another Favourite Point awarded for this cache. Found at 4:46 PM in the company of The Drovers GAFF1. Now that is just a cracker of a cache - not only a good location, but the mechanism worked and no previous cacher could ever possibly stuff it up - oh wait - there always is that possibility isn't there Red Face
