Today was my second day of caching around Clare. After the JAMMs team headed out to play the game I got myself organized for the journey home.
I collected some more caches on the way but also had 5 annoying dnfs and was cross with myself for forgetting the new caches published yesterday. Never mind will never clear the map .
Another 10km walked and more smiley faces ticked off the map.
My thanks to all the hiders for your contributions.

A nice drive by here, not sure what the hint meant but the cache was found.
Today we headed out to leasingham for an event, so off early to explore the back roads on the other side of the hill before making our way there, on the way home we detoured for a walk along the rattler trail.

Today also included some travel time with ilook4geo and some caching along the way of course. This was one of the caches selected to break up the drive and there was no problem in finding it. the log was signed and all was replaced before we moved on. Thanks for the cache placement go to Tk2.
Happy to be able to claim a find here after signing the log along with goingplaces2. Had a good caching day and put all containers back as found before heading on to the next one. TFTC.

Doctor Owl was going to be in Balaklava today and she asked if sushilord and I would like to come up and meet her to do some caching around the area. It was a lovely day for a drive and we met her for coffee in Balaklava then headed to Auburn, Saddleworth, Mintaro, Sevenhill and Spring Gully before ending up back in Balaklava. [^]
We had a fun day driving on some interesting dirt roads and tracks thankful that it wasn't wet. All but one of the caches we looked for were found and we broke the day up with a great lunch at the Saddleworth Pub. All in all a great day caching.
Another one found on our way to Auburn. I was looking in one place but sushilord spotted it looking from a different direction.

Another Wednesday Wander for the Puzzled Puzzlers. Today's crew was myself, Sushilord, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats. The target for today was to head north toward Clare for some caching up there. But as usual there were a few detours for other caches on the way to be made.
After stopping in Balaklava for lunch it was high time we headed towards our target for the day..Clare. But I was on a high from finally finding a nemesis cache and so called in here and found this cache pretty much straight away. My caching mojo was at an all time high!

As this is a generic log comments relevant to this cache will be placed at the end. On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Thank you all the cache owners who have put so much effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Heading back home and doing a few caches on the way. Three pairs of eyes make short work of a search. All ok. Kutgw
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Today was the last day of our caching holiday and so we headed from the Yorke Peninsula this morning back to Mildura for the night, before heading to Canberra the next day.
We parked nearby and popped across the road to of course look in the rusty drums for the cache, but it wasn’t there. A little further searching and I made a quicker find than expected. Tftc Tk2!!!

We were not sure what to expect as we pulled up at this cache. After a circuit of GZ we were sure we knew where the cache would not be. Then it was time for a more thorough search of those areas that looked promising.
After removing her sunglasses Mrs Y'stassie spotted something that was a little out of place and sure enough we had found the cache. Container was in good condition but the log was full. We managed to find a space to sign.
Thanks for a well hidden cache Tk2.

Found during a day of caching in the mid-north in the company of GoodLook and feathertop, with the main aim of completing the O.T.D. February, O.T.D. April and O.T.D July series, and any other caches that got in the way! Most of the logbooks were stamped under the name of 'fabulous randoms' but I did get to write my name out on a few that GoodLook and feathertop had previously located. Thanks for the cache Tk2!
A straight forward find with friends.
Today feathertop and I cached with FeatherWaite and what a wonderful day we all had. We met feathertop in Balaklava and cached our way around the area focussing on several O.T.D. series.
Our combined team name today was "Fabulous Randoms" and that is how the 'millions' of log books have been stamped (bar a few with our actual caching names in them).
Thanks so much for the cache Tk2!

I am heading to Jordan and Qatar as part of a university trip in a few weeks, and I decided that as I am approaching 500 caches (not really but after today, I am), it would be a nice idea to get my 500th cache in either Jordan or Qatar. I informed Doctor Owl of this vague plan last week when we caught up to do maintenance last week, and she concluded that I absolutely must fulfil this plan. The problem was that by the end of our maintenance run (and caching along the way) last week, I was on 397 caches. 102 caches of the 499 needed to ensure I could get my 500th while overseas. Therefore, Doctor Owl decided that in order to get my numbers up some powertrials were needed. So we headed up north with SASewerRats, collecting caches that some or all (mainly me though) hadn't done. I ended up getting 78 caches and having a great day.
It took a short search but we soon found it. The logbook was very full. TFTC.

Today we tackled the 2 OTD series and many other caches in the area with Roostaman. Enjoying the views and the changing country side, especially the vibrant colours of the crops that just went on and on, especially with the green backdrop of other paddocks. This was a highlight of this area making it a picturesque landscape. Most were easy finds at GZ, some a bit of a search, but a great day out.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this series for our enjoyment.

#5838 - 11:37; Day 4 of the geoart appreciation tour of the Yorke Peninsula for the intrepid Team ALFS (albida 33, LuckyL10n, fitzy_1965 and Sol de lune) had arrived and we were packed up and ready to head towards home. We had completed the eight objets de geoart which had been our primary targets, along with the LBH series along the Mail Road and the 'On this day February' series, with a few extra caches here and there as well. After an early start this morning, a couple of caches and a fuel stop, we were now headed for home in earnest. After leaving the peninsula and passing through Balaklava, we collected the 'On this day April' series as we passed. Now it was time to collect the odd bonus cache along the way as we headed towards Balranald. This cache was located without issue as our mission was drawing to a close. TFTC Tk2
Yorke Peninsula 2016. This weekend I joined Fitzy_1965, Sol de Lune and Luckyl10n for a six day trip to the South Australian Yorke Peninsula to get all of the geo art puzzles at the southern tip area. We had a great weekend and apart from about five DNFs were overall very successful. The trip started on Wednesday after work when Fitzy and I jumped in the car and drove to Narrandera for the night. The next day was a long day of driving to Adelaide via Balranald, Murrayville, Pinneroo and Tailem Bend. On Friday Fitzy and I went to Adelaide airport to collect Sol de Lune and Luckyl10n before heading to Port Wakefield and down the Peninsula to get started on the art. Thee days of art later we were all done by lunchtime on Sunday so went looking for another few short series near Port Wakefield. The trip ended with a two day drive home with all four of us via Mildura and Balranald. A fantastic weekend and I cannot wait till we can do another trip !
Thanks.

Another great day's caching with fellow Geelong cachers Suscoe, during our time in SA. We explored the area to the north east of Pt Wakefield. The weather was kind, the scenery amazing and a variety of caches dotted the landscape; including trads, puzzles and multis. Along the way we had the chance to learn quirky facts about animals, interesting detail and stories from the past as we found the caches.
Our thanks to Tk2 for placing this cache.

Well a pleasant Sunday drive for Suscoe took place today in the very good company of Phetlern.
We headed off bright and early with a mild start, temperature wise.
It was a cloudy day again and there was some distant rain on the horizon but that kept its distance from us and so the day was generally fine. There were times where the breeze and clouds conspired to make things cool.
Our point of departure was Port Wakefield and that was also our final destination. In between we headed to the areas around Bowmans, Balaklava, Watchman, Halbury, Erith and Avon. We took in a variety of traditionals, multi’s and puzzles and we found many of the caches that we stopped at. There were a few that seemed elusive and perhaps need some owner TLC.
We discovered a good bit of history of this region and we also admired the countryside which was looking stunning with early growth of the grain crops looking beautifully green and the occasional sheep and cattle looked happy in the grassy paddocks.
Unfortunately Mrs. S ended up with a small piece of tree embedded in her head which required a detour to the nearby hospital to have it removed. Fortunately this didn’t slow the finds down for too long.
