It appears the muggles like this one. Evidence of recent detecting around the area.

On a bit of a road trip (close to 2000km by the time we get home) grabbing some LGAs and adding to my smileys tho only finding a few in each major town other wise we will never get home as we only have 3.5 days
Our plan is just to drive and stopover at the nearest town to where we are when it starts getting dark. But we have on our list Katanning, Nyabing, Gnowangerup, Borden, Jerramungup, Ravensthorpe, Esperance, Grass Patch, Salmon Gums, Dundas area, Kambalda, Kalgoorlie, Coolgardie, Southern Cross, Westonia, Merredin, Kellerberin, Tammin, Cunderdin and finish off caching in Meckering
After staying the night in Ravensthorpe we are now on the next leg of our journey . We'be been here years ago doing the touristy sightseeing thing along the Old Coach Road from Norseman so only a quick stop today
A quick find
TFTC and thanks to Nijesa for replacing the cache. Cache is good

Tried to fine , just in case. We think we found parts of the cache near a camping area. Placed a new cache container , log book and 2 pencils and a 1950 penny at new cords a bit further away from the camp site. S32 23.759 E121 46.508 which is about 5 metres east of the site. Hope this helps. Thanks for bringing us to this bit of history.
Merged family accounts, logging this under the new username. Original find by dtenn86 logged 21/09/15.
West Australia 2016 trip. Day 24. The return journey over the nulabor started today. I made it from last nights camp near Grass Patch to nearly Eucla. The history of this area is all I found today.
Thanks.

Looks like cache has been muggled. Can't get out there to fix it. Will disable until I can find someone to replace or fix.
Container lost, only chain and cap remain. Of nevenartikel we zend a picture later from Holland. TFTC.
Thanks for another pleasant experience - it gets us out of the car and we "see" a bit of history. Love the "historical" setting of this cache. Cheers Gerard & Duky
Found it on the way to Norseman from Esperance. Camped other side of salt pan. Lovely peaceful spot. Even had a visit from a snake into camp at dusk. Eeek! TFTC
4956 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1200. After a stop over at Salmon Gums it was time to be caching again. There had been rain towards the south last night so we were a little concerned with the dirt roadways. The track in was smooth and firm. The co-ords for your cache are spot on for us. Looked in the usual places and soon the Mrs had the container in hand. The set up here is worth a favourite from us. SL Tnx Dr Phunk
Drove in here with a van in tow. Would not want to do this when its wet I think!! Enjoyed reading the signs and imagining what a bustling little town this once was in its heyday. TFTC
So big and still took a while need to look in right direction. If it had teeth I would have been eaten. All ok TFTC
4:36 PM Out and about with &others and pprass on our travels across to the west.
We camped here for the night and were visited by the Shire officer who said that if it rained it would be tough getting out Well it did rain!!!!! In the morning the officer came around again and said that he had closed the road. Well we got out pretty quick, but no rain came and it wasn't that hard to get out.
Wonder if this was the town's tip judging by the number of rusted cans around here? Nice little hide here right next to a make shift camp. My memories will be sitting under umberallas around the open fire. We looked and looked all around and nearly hit our heads on the cache and still didn't see it for some time
Thanks Dr Phunk, loved your location and the walk up the road to the old retaining wall.

Found by Phreddy of Newcastle. Nearly walked into this one half a dozen times before I found it. So simple but so hard to find. Well done Dr Phunk.
Was out in the goldfields with two other cars from Albany on fun 4WD fortnight. This was part of a big circle including part of the Holland Track, Baladjie Rock, the Helena and Aurora Ranges, the Gus Luck prospectors' track, Lake Ballard, Queen Victoria Springs, Zanthus and Peak Charles. Many of these interesting places had caches and this was one of them.
Had made the trip over the old telegraph track from Balladonia which was interesting. Camped up next to the dam and turned on the GPS and saw this cache about 700m away. Strolled down and checked it out. Almost didn't find because was looking for a regular sized container. Modified my expectations and there it was! A bit damp as has been mentioned.
Very interesting imagining this as a bustling town site. The interpretive trail has been well done and the place is certainly worth a visit. Thanks Dr Phunk for bringing me here

Thanks Dr Phunk for the hunting and cache
Find #: 3308
Date: Mon 27 Oct 2014
Time: 01 20 PM
Today we found a couple of caches around Esperance before leaving for Norseman.
The road this one had a "Road Closed" sign across it, probably after the recent rain, but we drove around it, vowing to be careful as we didn't want any trouble being about 3,000 kms from home.
The Dundas site reminded us of Kanowna north of Kalgoorlie, but that was a bit larger and more identifiable as a town.
We eventually found the cache, but it was quite wet and contained some water.
Luckily the log wasn't too bad so I reassembled it hoping it would be a little more water resistant with the inner container upside down.
A nice hide, we nearly didn't find it as our preconceived ideas about what we were looking for were quite wrong.
Thanks for placing this cache Dr Phunk

I've met up with Triciac2 in Perth, because we are taking a 3 week driving tour to Adelaide We've had a couple of fun days caching in the company of her son Brother Colin, but he has now headed back to Brisbane, and we have begun our drive east. We have travelled from Perth via Brookton, Corrigin, Hyden, Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun, Esperance, and today we are travelling north to Kalgoorlie
A bit of a detour to this one, and I looked the wrong way at first in my search, but soon spotted the hide. TFTC, Dr Phunk.

On my Round Aussie Trek, with IolantheK travelling with me from Perth to Adelaide, we found your cache, clever hide. TFTC
Took an old track in had to move a few branches but got there pretty easily. Tftf
Thanks for the hide took the long way in from the mines road to the south. Along many disused roads removing fallen trees as we went. Only to find a easy way out at the cache. Great cache container enjoyable find.
We also are one our way to the OzMega in Murray Bridge. We drove our caravan to within 12m of the cache. A bit tight turning to get back out again but quite doable. Nice cache, thanks Dr. Phunk
On our trip Around Australia and firstly aiming for Murray
Bridge in SA for the Mega over Easter. Time has been against until now. We finally feel like we are making some positive headway to our objective.
We came through here with our caravan on the back.
Could have camped here but it's only 11.48am so we continued on. Thanks for sharing a great spot.

This was our 3rd cache find in a caching run of 5 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 11:22 so this now makes our total find count 8085.
[blue]
We are heading eastwards across the Nullarbor. Our ultimate aim is to be in Murray Bridge to attend the 2014 Mega Event at Easter.
This cache took us a little while, we went around and around - swatting march flies all the while.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks Dr Phunk for the hunt today.

We left our campsite at Bromus Dam and headed over to visit the old Dundas townsite, we arrived at around 9am.
We hunted around for a while and did wonder if the cache had gone walkies until I turned around and spotted it. Top camouflage I should have seen it before. We spent another 30 minutes or so wandering around taking photos and reading the information board, so glad they had that at the site as it was good to be able to visualize what would have been there.
thanks for sharing this spot Dr Phunk

After a bit of a trek we found it! Love the disguise. Was full of water so we didn't sign the log. Tftc found with moni_macaroni.
Tricky! Not where it obviously originated. Left a shiny surprise for the next cacher to find as a Nullabour souvenir . .
Enjoyed the visit to the old town. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore. Thanks for the hide.
We hadn't intended to go for this cache as it was a bit off the highway, but when we saw that it was at a historic site and not far to drive we decided to divert and have a look. We were intrigued to see that the were street signs still at the old town site! Found the nicely constructed cache very quickly - signed log, TFTC and for bringing us here.
At10.45h(WST), I marvelled at the engineering masterpiece. TNLNSL TFTC - Unka Dave
TFTC. A lovely spot. Next time we pass thru we plan to stay. A favourite from us. Left a dice.
We are heading accross the Nullabor, we have a nice tail wind so now only have to find a few caches.
The road was a bit muddy today driving in, after the early morning rain
We camped here last time we travelled through here.
Thanks Dr Phunk

We found this Cache on our journey up to Darwin.
Nice heritage trail but it's incredible how much rubbish the miners had left here.

That was an easy one (finally) after climbing rocks and fighting March flies in previous caches. Love the hide too! Very interesting history here, we had not heard about the Heritage Trail but we picked it up from here to norseman and it was very enjoyable. TFTC Dr Phunk.
Nice drive from highway small walk from parking area nice cache well done TFTC
Here from Canada, doing a bit of caching as we explore Australia....
First things firs.....Found the cache.....Then explored the old townsite.....Then hiked up to the lone grave. Very interesting piece of history.
Thanks for showing us Dr Phunk! If it weren't for the cache we would probably have missed this wonderful spot!

a place that was visted often in our youth, great to come back to thanks Dr Phunk TFTH
We took the heritage trail detour into Norsman and stopped at this one. It took a little bit of searching but after I read the description it was soon discovered. It was quite warm when we were here, it must have been tough going back in the early days.
After a short walk we soon had the crafty cache in hand. Thanks Dr. Phunk for bringing us to this place full of nostalgia.
We camped at the Dundas Rocks overnight so explored the old settlement in the morning. It was interesting to see the old road names. TFTC.
Out on a geocaching getaway with barnzy12. From Perth to Kalgoorlie to Esperance back to Perth in 3 days. Tftc.
TFTC. Found on a caching trip with Cravo10 from Perth to Kalgoorlie, Esperance and everywhere else along the way.
Nice find a short distance off the highway. Love the cache container. Thanks Dr Phunk!
Found with Kool Running on the way to Coolgardie for the weekend. Interesting history trip and different idea for a cache. Liked the cache construction, good container for harsh conditions. Spotted by the eagle eye of KR. Always nice to have a STF.
#FTF# Gotcha !!! It may be a drive-by but there's more to the story. 3020Km from my home base and we've driven over 14,000 Km to get here. TFTC
