Great spot chosen as there were plenty of other spots we checked first! Ended up practicing some rock bouldering to check a spot where the cache wasnt. Good fun, TFTC H&C
I began the small walk over to this cache after having just successfully found the nearby Under Cover cache in this series. With all the relatively dry weather we've been having lately, the creek was very dry which meant it was very easy to walk along. After a few minutes, I began to near GZ. I soon came to a stop to check my GPS. It was saying the cache was approximately 14 metres away. My GPS was occasionally inaccurate during my previous visit to this park, so I began to doubt I was that far away, especially since I appeared to be very close on the map view.
I decided to check the hint of this cache which, after quickly glancing around my surroundings, helped me immediately locate it. I was pretty happy I had found this cache so quickly considering how inaccurate my GPS was. I was also pretty happy after opening the cache to see the inside was in excellent condition- all nice and dry in there. I soon replaced it before continuing on my way.

After morning tea a brave (or were we merely foolish) group set off to complete the trail Dromaniax and I were joined by Perpetuallylost Explorer Nan, Chook n Chunk, mudbrick, Crack'n,LeeLee, OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie. Great people and a great caching experience led to all caches being found along with all the necessary clues Lots of comraderie and help and encouragement along the way making for a wonderful day. Back on more level ground with only a short climb to the cache Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches TFTC Crack'n'Lee

This was one of those caches where I was too keen and as I was leading our group at the time, I headed straight to the cache thinking it was closer than what it was. And just as I was at the top of the ridge thinking I was only 5 m away, I was oblivious to the fact that the group had continued along the creek and were now yelling from the creek to me to turn around and go back due to the steepness and fragility of the slope I was about to descend. When i got to the bottom and joined them again I realised just how right they were. Disaster averted and thx for the cache, accessed from a safer vantage point!

Repairs as required. All good here.

Met up with a few cachers today for a leisurely group assault on this section of the Gorge.
As PerpetuallyLost attempted the most difficult approach ever, the rest of us went around and “ordered” him to go back and join us on the safe route.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Crack'n'LeeLee

The sun is shining and the sky is blue, which is something I didn’t expect this morning! (Not that I expected the sky to be a different colour!). Perfect day for an event in Werribee Gorge State Park and a wander along the tracks for some caches!
The dry creek bed often becomes the path along this area. Another cool hide as we all continue the loop.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Initially lured by the 'Morning Tea with a View' event today, and subsequent liaison with the CO and other cachers to complete the Ingliston Gorge circuit, we were blessed by the weather gods with the only day in the week that was relatively pleasant enough to do this hike comfortably. Chook and Explorer Nan got up nice and early to make their way to Ballarat to carpool with Perpetually Lost. Once at the parking coords, we joined up with OzHockeyChick and Roaming Howie and off we set on our journey in the steps of Noah's Lark. After the event, our hiking group swelled to include au.fait and Dromaniax, and we were accompanied by the COs (original and adopters) as well. What a wonderful group of people to spend the day with!!
Nobody got a crooked arm getting this cache. Including Perpetually Lost, who might have got one had he dropped down the slope he was considering when he had taken the high road instead of the low road.
TFTC to the original COs, g_ordo and mudbrick, and to Crack'n'LeeLee for taking this series on so we cachers can continue to enjoy it.

At an event last night, we had a conversation with au.fait, and we decided to travel together to the event in Ingliston Gorge today. It was an early start, leaving St Leonards at 7 am.
After attending the event, the group that continued on the loop included RoamingHowie, OzHockeyChick, Perpetuallylost, chooknchunk, ExplorerNan, mudbrick, and au.fait, and the COs Crack'n'LeeLee.
The path was interesting, and often it was simpler to follow the dry creek bed.
There were great conversations being had and a feeling of camaraderie.
Thank you for this cache GMWG; mudbrick and for adopting and maintaining Crack'n'LeeLee

water, water everywhere
and not a drop to drink
there is water in the creek
there is water in the creek
the rest of our journeys in the gorge were met with a parched rocky riverbed but here: water
not nice friendly water, though
not the inviting soothing ripple of cool blue, burbling freely and seductively over rocks and away
instead:
water that sits in deep squalid pools of grey and murky brown
water that you wouldn’t trust to a bladder, plastic or human
water by its chemical composition but nothing else
but: water nonetheless
so for what it’s worth, we shall rejoice:
there is water in the creek
and not a drop to drink
there is water in the creek

Fleabag- had a new plan today to do this circuit and also the high terrain letterbox for some challenge he was working on. I didn't look at the contour lines on the map and agreed to his plan. Today (the day after) I am still hurting from 1. Climbing up and down and 2. because I am unfit. We also have a bad habit of taking the shortest possible route to each cache. That is a bad idea here on some of these we found out! Oh well, all part of the adventure. The weather was perfect though, about 18 degrees and fully overcast. It was nice out here, bush was not too thick but gee it was dry.
Found the insides of the cache first which then led to a quick find of the actual box after that. Gathered everything up and put it all back and wrote down another crucial clue.
Thanks Crack'n'LeeLee for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Sunday caching plan saw Spiffy, my geopartner and I head out to the Ingilston gorge area for the series of caches. Cloudy and coolish, but the constant up and down hills soon fixed that. We tackled these numerically except for a couple which worked nicely for the clue collecting and kept us on solid paths.
Nervous this may take a while but Spiffy- spotted a zip bag and then we saw it.
Thanks to GMWG; mudbrick - adopted by Crack'n'LeeLee for the placement and fun.

AusFox; was keen to get out for a walk/hike before the start of the school year and the whole back to the grind of work started for the year so when he asked if I was keen I jumped at the chance. I have looked at these cache on the map a number of times but never had the chance to get out and grab some.
What a wonderful spot for a hike and to grab some smiley's as a bonus.
Luck for us the creek had very little water otherwise the journey along it would have a much harder experience
Thank you Crack'nLeeLee for adopting this series for us all to enjoy

WOW! what an amazing walk around Ingilston Gorge circuit with such a variety of hides, sizes and camo along side SimsFamily with perfect weather.
I was surprised not to meet another person on our walk for the whole day.
The paths at times were hard to tell apart from animal tracks, but well signed to be able to be able to work our way around without issues.
Glad the creek was dry to make it easier to move from cache to cache.
Log signed and replaced as found

9 March 2020 what a great wander along the creek. Some water in it and flowing slowly. Thanks for bringing us here, really enjoying this series
Took the detour to get these extra caches. Walking the creek bed was rough on the ankles! We found this cache quite quickly. TFTC.
We were going well so decided to take the detour to get these extra caches. It was a mix of walking in the creek bed (uneven rocks, occasional pools of water) or walking on the bank (prickly grass) But we got there and found the cache quickly. On to the next one! TFTC
After a bit of climbing around I decided to drop my pack and get looking for the cache. Well that turned out well. Cache was exactly in front of where I put my pack down. Absolutely loved this spot. Highlight of my day thus far. Gotta come close to one of my fav spots I’ve ever been caching! Thanks for bringing me here. A FP. For hide and location

Today I headed out with jascat for a couple of events at Pykes Creek, once we were completed there, we then set our sights on the Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge series, the weather was changing all the time but was pressed on through the wind, rain and sunshine.
After finding #9 maybe we should have continued onto #10 and then #11 but we decided that we knew best and straight lined it to #11 from 9, but we went out the way we were meant to go in.
it wasn't too bad in the end and we got to where we needed to be without breaking anything.
At GZ the cache seemed to have been washed out from where it was meant to be as it was very exposed.

After attending the two events we decided to come and do this series. Decided to go off track for this one thinking it would be quicker and easier. We would have been in a bit of trouble if the creek had water in it. Cache was spotted before we were even at the bottom. I think perhaps some heavy rain may have washed it further down from its hiding spot. Cache was replaced out of view.

Took some friends out from the #GetNakedAustralia group and introduced them to caching, everyone really enjoyed it! TNLNSL TFTC
We kept close to the creek on our approach to this cache. Spotted a wallaby along the way. There were plenty of hiding spots at GZ but a particular item jumped out at us and we soon had the cache in hand. TFTC

Heading into unchartered territory I forged my way through bushes and weeds, surrounded by the terrifying chant of the river-dwelling hoppers. I faced danger at every turn, and narrowly avoid wet feet before uncovering another container of booty. TFTC matey!

After teaming up with the McLookers we planned to have a shot at this series, the weather was looking good one minute and very very average the next minute. But that did not stop us, it just meant we needed to pack a jacket.
We really enjoyed the walk around here finding the caches and gathering all the clues, we didn't see much wildlife, we think they were all taking shelter and watching us from a distance laughing at us getting soaked.
This was a very fun series to do, many thanks to gordo, mudbrick and Crack'n'LeeLee.

Werribee Gorge circuit has been on the bucket list for a while after grabbing No1 some months back. Made the long slow walk around the circuit today in a 4 hour return journey although I missed the last week and the bonus cache. TNLN TFTC GMWG Enjoyed the walk along the gorge floor and out of the grass, mostly. Got this one and then the GPS gave up! No spare batteries, you idiot. OK let's turn on the phone and pray. OMG a signal and YES navigation to the next one, never in doubt. I will get home before dark after all! FP given here for the important conflagration of events.
Continuing the SueHut Werribee Gorge "Date Day". I took the "brave" move to run around to this one while Sue took a breather. "I'll be really quick!" Yeah, right. Sue was using the GeoApp (with the map), whereas I was using my GPS (without map). Consequently, I set out unaware of the tiny detail that the creek curved around. I took the "straight path", up the bank, over the crest and down again... not a time-saving move. Then, the GPS zeroed in on spot a few metres "that way", which had me trying to scale the side of a shale cliff. Also not a time-saving move. I got there in the end, but not before finding myself in all sorts of sticky situations. Worse, I didn't know I was supposed to continue round for #12 until I reported back to Sue. Thanks heaps, GMWG!
Nice spot for a cache and we made the find at 12pm. Enjoying the walk backwards and forwards across the creek - thought it might have had more water after the recent rains.

As we approached this one, I thought I could see it but alas, it turned out not to be the cache. It didn't matter really as the actual cache wasn't that far away and we were soon signing the log right on noon.

The gps had me a little off with this one. using the hint made it really easy. Another enjoyable cache. so much thought and fun has gone into this series. TFTC.
I have been eyeing off this series for some time. My monthly partners in crime, Biggles Bear, had already done it some time ago, so it never was available for a joint effort. So today, being somewhat roughly in the area, I decided to give it a go. It was a bit harder finding any form of track along the creek to get to this one.
My thanks to GMWG & mudbrick for the cache.

I'll be at the conference all day, she said. You should do something nice, she said.
This walk should be nice, I thought. Loop walks are nice. Warm weather and fresh air are nice.
A meandering walk down to the gorge and along the creek bed , peppered by entertaining hides and amusing containers made this a nice circuit indeed.
Ok, I thought an ascent would be needed for this one and headed up the ridge way, WAY, too early. And I found myself then forced to scramble down an increasingly unstable and slippery slope. The terrain rating was not THIS hard. Back down to the creek then. I looked. And I looked.
I was just about to give this one away when I suddenly saw a really bloody obvious spot. And there it was. The signing of the log was accompanied by a profuse explosion of a great variety of curses and swearing. Actually, I lie. It was just the same swear word said repetitively and with great emphasis.
Logged and time to move on. Its just a game.
Thanks and cheers!

Been eyeing off this series of caches for a while now, so we decided to have a go on a glorious ANZAC day. This used to be a great walk for our border collie many moons ago, however we haven't come here for a hike in such a long time.
Never been down into this part of the park
Many thanks for a great series, a great mixture of well constructed hides. Cache in good condition. TNLN

We decided to do the Noahs Lark series today after the rain yesterday made the gorge a doable walk in Summer.
The bush around here is just beautiful, and although it is dry there are a lot of amazing rock formations and spectacular views.
It took about 3 and a half hours and we missed 2 of the series and the letterbox due to time limits.
A fav point for all the caches as they were either crafty or in awesome spots.

We saw some amazing views and some cool rocks.
We even saw an echidna at one point!
The cache containers were very cool as well.
Thanks for the series it was such a fun day.

We have been itching to attempt this series for a while, but it has been far too hot recently. Today was the ideal day, the current heat wave seems to have abated. After reading the story on each cache we were really delighted to find all but one of the caches in this novel series , there has obviously been lots of thought and TLC put into each placement.
We have given each cache in the series a favourite point for the adventure.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: One Toy.
Left: A smiley badge and a toy car.
Thanks for a great day out
Regards
Ian, Penny and Eden.[font=Verdana]

I'd been trying to escape the house the entire four-ish day weekend, but family and work drama just kept popping up at the most inopportune moments (as they usually do... I defy anyone to suggest an opportune moment). This morning, I was tetchy enough to climb the walls. Well, Ingliston Gorge near enough qualifies.
This is a series that I'd been meaning to tackle since it was published, and especially after the fun I had in Werribee Gorge proper. Now, I must say that this area is not quite as spectacular or rugged, but then again, I'm not as fit as I could be, and it turned out that this was just what I needed to work on my condition, and get some much-needed alone time. And this area still has some great views and lovely trails.
The circuit of caches took me the remaining hours of the afternoon, including the time of some insignificant horse race or another. A very entertaining tale kept me amused, and there were some real gems among the hides. It's well worth the effort just to visit Yoric.
For once, I completed a hike while some (if not much) daylight remained. Thanks for making a great place for a walk even better, GMWG.

Last time we were here we went straight past this one cos there were people around and kenares phone was flat and Sean.75s wouldn't work. Today it was way easy to find with no one around. Tftc
Thanks to the cache owners of the Noah's Lark series, I walked the whole circuit and it was my first ever visit to Ingliston Gorge. I managed to find every cache in the series and had the whole Gorge to myself
Found on the second trip to the area after putting the notepad with the clues through the wash.
Well we had reached this point we came a little unprepared for this walk. Although the weather was kind for us and not too hot and not too cold nor rain we probably should of brought some water with us. Oh well we'll keep trekking on
Another interesting cache hide in a nice spot of the river.

Great accessory with this cache. Nice hide. Caching with Smurfy_CH on the last of my holidays. Nice day to be in the Werribee Gorge State Park on a trail of caches . Great job with this trail. Tough going but we did it and I can proudly say I survived it lol Tftc
My second visit to this enjoyable circuit after finding the first three caches in the series last time around with my daughter. I came by myself this time so that I could attempt the more far flung caches in the series. The trail was really interesting with great scenery and wildlife and was very different from most bushwalking trails, without a clearly marked trail. I had to stop and look around on numerous occasions to figure out whether I was actually still on the trail. I'm glad they had those occasional orange arrows to confirm I was still heading in the right directions because the trail wasn't always that easy to re-find after heading off it to find one of the caches.
In all I found thirteen in the series today and couldn't find one before I had head back to the car to make sure I was home in reasonable time. I loved the effort and variety in all the cache containers and hides in this series and the different terrain needing to be covered to get to the hides. I'll have to return one more time to try and finish the rest of the series and the final.
I went out of numerical order here because looking at the map it looked like it would be easier to skip 10 and come straight here. That did mean I missed the instruction that there wasn't a marked path to this one though so I wasn't overly sure I was heading along the best track, criss crossing the river bed. A nice hide in rock face and glad it wasn't higher up. Thanks for the cache GMWG.

This cache was my favourite in the circuit. I really enjoyed just meandering along the creek, which was dry in some places. But where it did have water, I had to switch from side to side to get through. The hide was brilliant. I took a break in the shade here, had a snack, and took a timer selfie.

Chewin' and I traveled to Bacchus Marsh to tackle the Noah's Lark series today. A really nice day for it, started a bit windy, but an excellent temperature for a walk in the gorge. A great collection of hides and cache containers. Neither of us had done the loop walk in this park. It took us about 4 hours to walk that included the Letterbox cache.
After lunch in the Marsh we did a few local caches to round off the day.
There was no marked path to this one, but enough cachers had been before us that a small track has formed along the creek.
It was not the first time we were thankful it wasn't raining.
We expected the hide to be a lot higher, but thankfully it was not.
Thanks, Robmc.

Followed the creek and soon came upon another clever cache. Loved the cache guardian here. need a fair bit of spray for him !! TFTC GMWG and mudbrick.
Really liked this spot- was expecting cache to be a bit higher! Nice and peaceful- thanks for bringing me here.
[:(!] Spending a couple of days over Easter with our daughter and her family, with one of my geograndsons and I went for a half day of caching to do this series, parked the geocar as close as possible to "Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge 1 Trouble Afoot" - (GC3WJDD) and we walked in from there to do the circuit and a few extra ones as well, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

The boys and I only decided late last night to do these caches. We headed off this morning to do them. We had a few false starts at first due to a lack of research but we soon got into the rhythm of it.
Come into this one from number 10 and it was a pleasant walk.
Thanks a heap Mudbrick and G_ordo

I did the Noah’s Lark series of caches today with yellowdaisy135. We managed to find all of the caches in the series all without any serious injuries between us. A great series and I especially enjoyed the creative storytelling. TFTC guys, great work!
TheRustyDuck and I set off today to attempt this series. We throughly enjoyed it and love the creative in the caches. We somehow managed to get all the caches today, so thank you for making this series.
By the time we eventually reached GZ it had become apparent that we had not chosen the correct route to approach this one and had we read the notes for the previous cache properly we would not have turned this cache into a #5 terrain rating.
9 year old Geoboy #2 was beginning to voice his opinions by this stage, but nearly 12 year old Geoboy #1 was remaining stoic (he is an expert at stoic).
As it was, we slogged up and then down (boy was it down!), landed between this and the next cache, ummmed and aarrrddd and decided to wander towards #12. Reached the fence, looked where there GPS said, thought "surely not? Must be another way" and went back to collect #11 before of course realising there wasn't "another way" and heading back to find Yoric. Phew! That was dumb!
Once at GZ here there was a bit of back and forth, with the GPSr as usual refusing to be more specific than a few metres and also refusing to decide which few metres it actually meant. In the end, the Geohubby made the find, the log was signed and it was back off to look for Yoric.
Thanks GMWG!

Man I wish I had my bike for that awesome downhill track! Good thing I don't since I've still got my arm in a cast. Enjoyed this spot. Thanks
Had to go slow along the creek to avoid another injury, but that too was a blessing. Nice walk along the flats and good scrambling through the creekbed. Whisper of rain coming down in the only heaver shower of the day. Frogs very much in evidence. And finally, a rockwall cache I do like! Thanks.
Note do not put your work out paper in the cache as you will have to return. This on was a bit blown. TFTC
Arrival at 13h on the parking lot, I eat quietly and then I get ready for the ride! first found hiding at 13:30. 2:40 and later I'll be back in the parking lot with all found
Pas de problème pour celle-ci, le spot est bien choisis.

Now that I was following the stream this section was lovely to look at bit harder to navigate. The cache was in a lovely spot. Thanks!
Found 11.00am
The track is getting harder to follow, the thick grass still full of dew making for 2 slightly soggy cachers.

Thanks g-ordo & mudbrick for the series

A stroll along the beautiful creek. Running water, very clear and a nice place to find a cache.
Took nothing, left nothing.

14th for the day on our return journey to Melbourne after attending a wedding in Ballarat. Loving the creative rendition on the Noah's Ark story. The writers of Genesis missed out big time on this scoop. Nothing like a bit of off trail caching when there's a plane to catch. Pressure is on. TFTC.
Flying home tonight. A last cache trail on the way to the airport. Number 14 for the day. Easy find once we got there, getting there involved a few slippery moments. TFTC
ThePacman had told us about this great hike and series, so TheSnoopy and I joined in and we did the hike on a pleasant afternoon.
Thanks for the enjoyable series here.
