Hi there Squash2. While out on the road today we found this cache at 0230pm after a short search . TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Squash2 for this cache - our find 10885 and the 3rd of 5 finds for the day.FieldNotes: The container needs Maintenance. The cache is in pieces
Nice little hike for the find keeping am eye out for snakes as spotted one heading in.
Now that was some cruel terrain for someone as clumsy as me beautiful location everything in good shape
Got up after the wind and rain last night so packed up our gear and hit the caches in town before caching our way home.
A great overnight trip to Geraldton, still managed a few dreaded Geraldton DNFs but managed to cleanup the labs in town so all wasn’t lost.
Thanks to the locals for their hides and we hope to be back soon, well I know we’ll be back soon.

Thanks Squash2 for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.
We found a track off Nerrel Street, parked up the top and walked the 280 mts down the sandy track. Made a quick find at go. Now to get back to the caravan park to get our washing off the line before the rain comes. Thanks TeamPathfinder
Accompanied with iluvtrekking for the day - the weather was so beautiful day. Signed the log as " EV + ILT" ,
Thanks Squash2 for the cache and hunt. [^][^]

Mr ILT set off on the Chapman River walk with Everlasting just after lunch. They started with #4 and worked their way up the river. Mrs ILT mirrored their progress in the 4WD giving them an out when required. They enjoyed their, sometimes difficult, walk in this beautiful, peaceful spot.
Thanks to all involved in placing and maintaining the caches, quite an effort.

You are evil lol.. i had a fight with a box thorn. Cache in good nick. Have battle wounds. Tftc
As the weather has picked up after yesterday’s grey sky and rain we decided that we needed to get back out there and pick up some more of the Geraldton caches. As we have come to expect we have ended up with a real mixed bag. Some we expected to be easy proved themselves to be a real challenge, some with higher difficulty we found easily, and some we missed altogether! Still, we did add to our smilies today, but we had to work hard for it!
We thought the Chapman River series would make a nice bike ride. That is up until we started out to this one. Once we ditched the bikes we enjoyed the walk to GZ. Took a photo of some wildflowers coming out along the track, and then felt a bit weak when we were passed by a much fitter cyclist!

My second cache find ever! Yay! Thank you for an awesome adventure for me and my dog! Loved it. Very scenic!
Hi there Squash2.
We found your cache **"Chapman River #4"** at 10:49:00 AM today, so this makes our find count 14498.
The fridge in our caravan hasn't been working as it should, so today we had to take the caravan in to the repair place at 07:00. [:(!]
After a fortifying breakfast at Golden Arches we were off on a lazy cache run, hoping to pick up a few caches we hadn't found earlier.
We certainly didn't follow the route outlined in the cache notes. Maybe we should have.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

What a great spot to put a cache, such a scenic little area. Thanks for bringing us to this place.
From Spalding Park I strolled ... again
Me first stroll this morning had taken me along the wrong side of the river
Take two
This time I was on the right bank, or should that be the left bank ??
And soon tracked down a great little cache hide,
after the enjoyable stroll [^]

Tackled this one with my fur baby. She enjoyed the walk just as much as I did TFTC
I approached from the power lines track, through the bush. Murphy's law, "when you get to where you're going you will always find an easier way". Thanks for the cache Squash2

It was nearly 3 years ago when we tried this one but obviously approached it from the wrong side. Today was a beautiful cache day and we were full of energy so time to complete the Chapman River caches. I think it is only fair to say those caches are well under-loved as the walks are not too bad at all and the scenery is really beautiful. We were the first to find the new container and log-book, but there are no prizes for that haha, and indeed approaching from this side was much easier. TFTC Squash2.
Had somebody seen our TB, which is listed here? http://coord.info/TB49G8P
Thanks for an Information.

Day 3, caching around Geraldton, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
Geo-hubby took a bike ride with Ian from team Pathfinder, along the Chapman River.
This is not a regular bike trail, being quite rough and extreme in places.
A good variety of caches hidden along the way, makes for a great ride or walk.
Thanks for the caches, Squash2.

No idea? Might com back with my GPS for this one, the mobile phone is not always accurate
very exciting one ! we took our push bikes and it was very entertaining as mum stacked it on the way there!!!
A beautiful Geraldton morning to be out and about early on our bicycles, normally we would walk along the trail to reach this cache but today thought we would go the long way around and take a trip out to the beach as well.
We really can't believe that more geocachers haven't been out to find this cache as although the area has been recently burned in a bushfire the river is still very pretty at this particular spot - I am sure that other than those who walk the Strathalbyn Regional park trail most don't even realize this spot exists.
We found the cache easily and noticed that there was another name in the logbook (Weetbix2) but they hadn't actually left a date that they visited.
Can't wait to find more of these caches - perhaps everyone else is waiting on the complete trail before venturing in?
Thanks Squash2 - very much enjoyed!

Unfortunately it looks like fire has swept through the GZ and surrounding area. I couldn't find any evidence of the cache. Will post a pic of the devastation shortly. Thanks for the hunt and the scenery regardless!
2tf! Not much action in the world of caching around here if it takes someone from Sydney in new to claim2tf. Beautiful creekdown here with the trees and was tempting to go for a swim as it was fairly hot for early in the morning. Tftc!!!

I get up early to drop the 'too young for a driver's licence' Geoson at work. This cache was only a small detour before I went to work and I thought an early morning stroll along the river would be a nice start to a Friday. I arrived at the Spalding carpark and there was an unoccupied vehicle parked in the corner closest to GZ. I was sure I would pass some other smiling cachers on my walk. I headed off in the direction of the arrow and chose the narrow path by the river. It was narrow but I'm glad of this choice as it was a lovely walk. This time of year when everything is still green and the wattles and wildfowers are in bloom is a magic time. I still hadn't seen anyone else. As I approached GZ I thought I spied several possible locations. Each of them proved fruitless and so I widened my search. Not an easy feat considering the terrain. Time was getting on and I spied one more hidey hole and wallah - bingo. there it was. Log was signed although I left swaps in the car so didn't take anything. I headed back along the other track and as I came over the bridge I noticed people were setting up for a schools cross country event. Glad I was early. I certainly got my 30 minutes today and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery. Thanks Squash2. I'm enjoying the Chapman River Series.
