I've been liaising with Hindmarsh Library, and now seems confirmed that the cache is missing and should be archived, as per the following e-mail:

Hi David,
Sorry for the confusion there. You are correct in saying that the Hindmarsh Library did have a geocache hidden in the library. It was a book container as you mentioned, and was able to be opened by a key that could be found at a nearby location.
Unfortunately, the geocache has been unable to be located anywhere in the Library. It used to be in the Reference collection, but we have searched the entire library’s collection to no avail so I’m afraid it must have been taken sometime between August last year and now. I can assure you that staff would not have removed it from the collection.
This means that the mention of this geocache may have to be removed from the website you referenced, or possibly physically replaced, but I am unsure as to the process for this.
Thank you and kind regards,

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
It was my second time this week in the library trying to find this cache, after finding the key. However searched and searched and to no success. We asked the librarians, and none of them knew about it or where it could be. It almost sounds like this cache has been retired then if none of the librarians know about it?
We also did a few PAFs and all provided some good knowledge, but still no cache, somewhat confirming our suspicions of a retired geocache.
I left my details with the Librarian who will contact a few past people and let me know, so hoping I can put this one to bed either way.

Talked to a previous cacher, and managed to get given where the magical key should be. Riding past today, the key was hidden well, but managed to find where it should be. Unfortunately the library was closed prior to completing this mission. Sigh.
Brought a friend this morning and we had another look. I wanted to double check that I hadn't missed anything around the clue of the invisible door, and it appeared from the terrain map that the clue indiecated like it was on the other building, but still nope. Had another hunt around under daylight, and still nada.
I think I'll need a PAF for this one, thanks.

Looked and looked and looked at Waypoint 1, but could not find the darn key. I’m pretty sure I understood the first hint, but looked all over the structure and surrounds, and just couldn’t find anything. Last find was 10 months ago... an easy one to blame muggles, but will seek a nudge in the interim, cheers.
Had tried to do this cache before but the library was closed. Usually when I come past here the library is closed but today I was in the area and the library was open - yay!
Knew where to find the 1st bit due to previous visit so got that and headed in. I had an idea what I was looking for but was having problems with GPS satlock. In the end I just wandered around a bit until I found it.
Very cool cache. A favourite.

Hatched a plan with Moneydork where we could come and visit this one at a time the library was open rather than he usual passing in the night.
Jumped on a tram from the CBD and headed out this way. A quick search turned up the key, then after trying one lock, we found the one that worked.
Thanks for the fun cache Charles Sturt. Found on 17 Aug 2017 at 5:47 pm. Find #5017.

Was in the area today so decided to grab a few caches while I was here. [^] Had a nice walk between caches before the heavens opened up.
Had stopped off at WP1 previously and found the key but that time the library was not open.
Today I retrieved the key and headed in to the library, looked around and I did have to ask one of the Librarians of the general location. As I was heading towards GZ I could see what I was looking for.
Used the key, signed the log, locked up again and replaced cache and key.

Any reason to visit a library!! And this one just HAPPEN to have a cache
My first visit to WP1 was thwarted by a meeting of muffled in the building next door. Since they could watch my every move I decided to come back a couple hours later, and im glad I did. After taking some previous advice and ignoring my GPS the key was a quick find! A quick run over to the library (as they were about to close!!) and after a bit of amless wandering, I trusted my instinct to find the cache, just in time to! Not 5 seconds after I found it I was told the library would close in 1 minute!! But thankfully the friendly staff was all too aware of my intentions. Quickly signed the log and placed the cache back, along with the key saftly back at WP1. TFTC. Fav point added. Took PT.

Was going to admit defeat trying to find WP1 but Forest Farmers wanted to look a little more. Found the required item and then looked for WP2 with more success. Our muggle friends were fascinated by what we found. T: Ying Yang L: caravan

Dropped in here last night to find the key. There are strange people that look out from behind the clear stuff during working hours. That's a bit off putting so back I came today with H_Quinn - my golden seeker. At WP1 I locked the location in my head and couldn't move past it. Invisible door? Well I can see that door and the glass is almost invisible. H_Quinn nearby muttering to herself 'clear the mind, clear the mind'. Door? Door? I don't get it. Off to the library to find out roughly what shape we should be looking for. Ooohhhhh. Back for the 'key'. Still getting nowhere. Door? Door? Ok I've had enough I say to H_Quinn. I want to STOP. So did she as she shows me the key. TFTC and a favourite point for the frustration it gave me and the satisfaction you have when the solution is found.
Spent waaaaayyyyyyy too much time searching for the key. Couldn't believe other people who had found it so easily! Once I found it though, it was pretty darn obvious. Finding the cache was a lot easier, thank god. Clever little hide, and an interesting story to tell! TFTC!
I saw this cache a couple days ago when I was in the area but I was out of the opening times. So after work tonight I thought I'd do this cache. I had read the hint for WP1 which helped when I saw it. WP2 I made the find in 5 minutes which I thought was good. I then sat quietly at a table, used the key and signed the log. Favourite from me. TFTC
I have been looking at this one for a couple of days now and today after work was the day to attempt this Multi [^] I approached the listed co-ords to WP1 to find the key. The co-ords suggested I go inside the building, I was having no part of that [:o] so I sat down and read the logs over again. Still with no real clue (bird brain) I trusted my Caching instincts and began to do a bit of a search without looking too blatantly obvious and found the necessary key Only now with hindsight do I get the clue 'Invisible Door', very smart .
Excited, I wandered over to the Library to grab the booty. I took longer than I would have liked but the booty was soon located. Now I was very excited... key in one hand, cache in the other there was one thing left to do [^] Sign The Logbook This is the 2nd library Cache I have found in about a week and it too earns a Favourite Point from me SL at 16:10 on Wed 14 Dec 2016. Great Stuff, brought a big smile to my dial Cheers.

Well the things you find while out for a stroll.
I was over by the Holden St Theatre and had an hour to fill in so went for a stroll and came across this cache.
I see it was published before my time which is probably why I didn't know about this particular cache.
People visiting our city who see how many favourite points this one has should know that there is a free tram from the city train station that will bring you out here.
My this one is just about perfect for one of these.
I now have one that I can direct people to have a look at if they are thinking about creating something similar.
Loved how GPS usage is demonstrated by the first waypoint that has to be found to get access to GZ.
It was a great little challenge and a very clever hint.
Happy to say at the end point I found it the way the guidelines are set out as the description gave me enough of a reference to seek the final solution without having to approach people and tell them I was a geocacher.
Great cache and I cant wait to hit the favourite point button.

Thanks for the cache Charles Sturt and Mtn lioness ,took two Gpsrs and numerous trips back and forth between way-points before we eventually had all the bits and pieces reqd .Even had a helpful but very confused staff member take us outside to a small garden area that had absolutely nothing to do with anything!

So many times I've looked at this on the gps at night and then had to leave it there!
So finally, after dropping partner at work, a visit was in order.
Had no trouble stopping for the key. Was just across from where the gpsr tooki me, but just where I would have looked anyway
In at GZ, I managed to home in pretty quickly and would have been in and out as fast as saying my ABCs, but got rather distracted by all the books there, especially early history ones - found some family in those
Key returned - all ready to go again!
All in all a good little cache in a place many have forgotten in this day of e-everythings.

Wow! Awesome hide. Love that devious clue for Waypoint 1. The last finder hadn't locked things up very well but all is now secure. Favourite point++.
Wp1 took a short time while GZ took a lot longer as I was acting on what I thought was a clue in the previous logs (wrong area). Then eventually acting against my male nature, I went and asked one of the staff. She was a bit coy but was prepared to point in the right direction and the log was in my hand in next to no time. Thanks Charles Sturt.
We'd decided which cache was next on the list when there was a sudden realization this one was available, a quick u-turn. Dr Owl put her imitable research skills to good use here by walking up to the first librarian she saw and asking the obvious question. The poor dude didn't know!
Thanks for this interesting multi Charles Sturt and MtnLioness.
Thanks for this interesting multi Charles Sturt and MtnLioness.
Sushilord made quick work of WP1, then the pair headed in to read a book. Instructions from another cacher placed them in the children's section, but Owl used her extensive research skills and asked a librarian... and then another one... who pointed them in the right direction where owl's surmise was quickly spotted by a sharp-eyed fishlord. An interesting multi, well-executed, so take a favourite point.
I had to wait until bookworm geotween was available before tackling this one. We made a fairly quick find at WP1 and then headed to GZ. Geotween was super excited to be the finder of this one and she enjoyed rifling through all the loot inside. Geobub was mesmerised by the key and had a ball putting it into and out of the lock. Took slap band and pirate coin. Left SIDS teddy, girly necklaces and Ellie the Elephant travel bug who is hoping to travel back to the USA where she originated. A favourite point from us for this unique cache. TFTC
Library caches are the best! One gets to sit rather comfortably indoors, which is rare in caching. I loved the library cache in my university in Illinois, and thought that this one is similar. I was wrong! Turns out one does need to find a special key in this one. Anyway, I love this one, key and cache. Hope to see more library. TFTC!
Picked this up while out and about with Mrs. Flipper after the Oz mega. She's helping me get more smileys before returning to the states.
Finally down here around the right hours for a education lesson, found the key and quickly located the required material, studied the book before returning all and passing our exams with this log TFTC
Found on a day out. Got scared by a clap of thunder. Office folks laughed at us . Needed to paf to locate wp1 then it was off to do some sluthing. Mission accomplished.

About to retrieve the key when a bolt of thunder nearly threw us down some stairs.
A quick walk in the rain had a cache in our hands.
Even walked away with a couple of free books to read.
A fav point from me today.

Was across the road collecting aome gear for my soccer club, and thought I'd see what's local. This one intrigued me, so off I go looking. Looking for the key was easier when I used my eyes and not the gps... but I had trouble at GZ, with a family talking to a staff member right where I needed to be. I think that threw me cos I had to ask for assistance. This is such a great concept. Thanks MtnLioness and the council.

Lunchtime caching, yum.
Nearby for a training course and I decided to give this one another go - had a quick look some time ago and couldn't find the invisible door. Still had to phone a friend for a hint today!
After that it was all plain sailing for this bookworm. Marvelous execution, a favourite for sure.
And I even managed to make it back to the training room with time to spare for some further pedagogy.

What a great cache. I came back today after a failed attempt on Friday. Probably best on the weekend due to the people in offices watching the invisible door. TFTC Charles.
Now where's that Fav button. [^] A beautiful cache with a quality GZ that is rare these days. Nup, I didn't have to worry about the rain or cold wind when logging this baby, it could be done in luxxxury. The posted coords gave me some drama for a tad but the overgrowth was soon sussed and the first bit of the prize recovered.
Doing this after dark is possible in the winter months. You then get to see the pretty colours across the road. After I did this, I ducked down to the Gov and checked out the Bad Astronomer's show. Check him out at http://www.badastronomy.com/index.html Very funny, cool and more importantly scientifically accurate. You could read more about him in the library if you wished. His dicschon is great.... Clear skies. No meteors please!

A good day for some indoor caching! Decided to check on this one and was pleased to find it back where it should be. Quickly dropped by to pick up the key and the log was soon signed and TBs swapped. TFTC Mtn Lioness! A fav point from us
We've been informed that the cache container is having some minor maintenance. Can the CO confirm please?
One of the greatest caches ever, thanks for the experience.
An interesting start to proceedings. First of all the day before I found it I thought I would grab it during lunch as I was across the road on a course. I searched for the key with no luck. I went back later that evening and searched some more. This time I had some people from inside the building stare at me, so I decided to try for the key the next morning (surely they couldn't be there at 6am). Off to the library and the actual cache was easy to find.
The next morning I searched in peace away from prying eyes. Suddenly it all made sense. The key was revealed, but it would have to wait until the library was open.
Lunchtime, and this time I walked past the cache, grabbed the key (like a boss!) and kept on going to the library. The cache was then opened and the log signed. I also put a TB in there (in the shape of a key) that I grabbed when I was in Scotland. I thought it was appropiate for this cache. Anyway, TFTC abd a favourite point from me.
Oh, returning the key, no worries there either, barely broke my stride doing so.

Day at home with Bek and Cal, so after a late lunch we decided to grab a couple of caches
The library was our first stop. Knowing where the key was, I guided Bek and Cal to it whilst I stood lookout and acted as a blocker for anyone looking from all those windows.
With the key in hand we headed off to find the cache. A very quick find, and then we enjoyed sitting on the lovely couch to sign and log. Probably the most comfiest seat we've ever sat on to log a cache
Kids enjoyed the contents, and I thought everyone was going to stare at us when Cal tried out the hooter, but they continued reading - or for one patron I spotted - sleeping.
Grabbed the geocoin before signing and replacing.
We then spent another 30minutes in the library and the kids took a few books home to read.
Also spotted a microfiche machine. Luckily I know where the final coordinates of Teeny Weeny Fish is, but I did wish I still had a fish in my wallet so I could read it properly.
A wondeful cache, and I'm aghast that I'm the first to visit in nearly 2 months, and am only the 13th finder more than 7 months after publishing.

Whilst hanging around The Ent' Centre waiting for Sir Cliff to finish to pick up some patrons, thought I'd at least locate the key. Lovely area at night, and quite pleasant with it being still and warm. Enjoyed the old and new architectures, before finally spotting the key holder. Glad I don't have to locate it in the day, with so many windows nearby watching my searching antics.
Shall be back soon to grab the key and unlock the treasures.
Cheers

Checked this one out earlier in the day, before finding the library wasn't open for another couple of hours [|)].
Came back later and retrieved the key, then went inside to try our luck at the cache. After a few false starts, Mrs DISK made the find .
What an excellent cache (and a great library) [^].
Took magnet. Left 'Tukkerboertje went to Bali (Indonesia)' GC. SL.
A BIG thanks to Charles Sturt & MtnLioness.

Nice work thanks to Charles Sturt.

Found It!
Step 1: Find Key. Not easy when there are 10+ office workers watching you through the glass.
Step 2: Ask Librarian for geocache. Off she goes to find someone who apparently knows about it. Another lady comes back with a large plastic container with "GPS" written on it. She takes a GPS out of the container and asks if this is what I'm looking for. No I don't think it is, I'm looking for an actual cache in this building I tell her. She then tells me that shes not allowed to tell me that and that I should go and find it myself with my GPS. She didn't quite understand that GPSs don't work inside but off I went to have a look. Eventually I spotted the well hidden thing...
TFTC and the amusing library assistants (slightly more helpful then the ones in the goodwood library who thought the cache was on the computer system)

Second visit.
Came yesterday but couldn't find the key.
Went and located the cache just to make my life easier when I came back.
Came back today and eventually spotted the 1st step.
Off to sign the log, go in and yesterday where there was no-one today were 2 muggles. One was breast feeding and the other reading.
Would I need a 3rd visit? A quick check of the surrounds and decided to take the cache to a quiet corner and sign it.
A quick replace and I was out of there.

Our first multi. We tried previous day bumped into Tardis who led us to the key. Came back today and tried to entice staff to give us further clues, after trying keys in every cabinet we could see. Re-read the clues and used our hands a bit to reveal the fantastic cache. Excellent!!!!
Mr Tardis has been in a "multi mood" this month and just had to do this one after recently doing another library multi, I got a taste for "library caching".
I was having trouble finding the key and needed to call the help line. It turns out that Mr Tardis needs glasses -- This is not news, Freddo has known this for sometime now.
Once the key IN FRONT OF WHERE I WAS STANDING SAYING "LOOK AT ME I DON'T BELONG HERE, I'M A CACHE" was retrieved, I made my way into the library. I had a look around not seeing anything obvious. I then had a look in the catalogue on the computer to see if I could be pointed in the right direction. Not really. I eventually found the excellent cache in just the right place.
Signed the log. Thanks for the great multi Charles Sturt + MtnLioness.

I got this cache arse about. First I was looking for the key where the book was. Then I had a discussion with someone who I thought had found the cache, but actually had only thought it, who got me on the right path. Found the key and then it was onto the library. Lots of books here. But only one special book. Interesting. While trying to decide where the book might be I did a search for GPS on the library's system thinking it would help. What do you know? The library has a GPS for lending pre loaded with certain caches! Excellent.
Woohoo!! FTF!! Woohoo!!
How lucky am I?
I strated the day with a FTF and am now finishing it with one too!
When this cache was published today, I had hoped to leave work at 5pm however.... as usual.... it was well after that (5.45pm) when I did leave
I drove to the first WP and in my hurry, I forgot my torch so there I was in the half dark trying to find the key with only my mobile phone as both light source and GPSr. DOH!
However, suddenly I spied something that reminded me of a door and sure enough, I soon had a key in hand! [^]
I entered the library and lost GPSr reception on my mobile so I turned on the real GPSr, got reception and completed my locus cache task!
My dicshon is gr8, expeshally now
The librarian and security guard loved the cache, too.
I had to explain what I was doing as they were waiting for me to leave so that they could go home.
SL. Left TB necause it is a pushbike and it seemed soooo appropriate for this cache [^]
