#24507. Thankfully we soon realized the coords on our Garmins were the published coords (so didn't waste too much time trying to make sense of the hint at that location). We entered the right coords and found the final was close by, so walked there. We encountered more interesting mining history along the way, and Troodles soon found the nicely hidden cache once we got to GZ. TFTC.
I had pre-solved this multi a while ago but had forgotten to update GSAK, so we arrived at the published co-ords thinking it was the final. When I looked at my phone, with the updated co-ords, I realised my mistake, so off we went to the final. The cache was not in the first place we looked but it was in the last!Great hide, excellent camo. TFTC.
TFTC Dazzatron your cache Treuer's Treasure that we found today. Day 2 in Moonta. We tackled the many caches in and around the Mine Heritage area and other caches as we passed by. 21 for the time invested was a good few hours well spent. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining caches so we can explore these locations.Certainly discovering more about the area as we cache along.Find Count: 17801
This one took us a bit longer than what it should have. We did re check our coordinates and then soon found the cache. Great hide. TFTC

An excellent hide here - no wonder the log goes back to 2013. The hint made this a quick find, otherwise I could have been searching for a while. Fav point for this one!
Found with Wal & Ol as we enjoy a caching getaway. Fave for the adventure and cache, Cache is in good condition, TFTC!
quick solve and find. Good work on the cammo. have a fav point. i do like the location.
Found with Mogni. Mogni wants to get to 20, 000 by the Rutherglen Mega in Victoria and make that event her 20, 000 th. So we went out to complete the " THE Sad Fisher series " and stay in Moonta for the night. We got 150 finds for the weekend even though we started out at lunch time Saturday. Any damaged caches found where replaced with a new container and any logs found full or almost full were replaced or a extra scroll added. The weather couldn't make up it's mind, over 30 on Saturday and it rained almost all of the way home.

To make things easier I took a photo of the sign and crunched the numbers parked a bit further in. It took a couple of minutes to locate the sneaky cache.

No way would anyone get me going down that shaft. Wowsers. No wonder there were so many deaths in mines. Cache is all good. Bit tricky but I was impressed!
The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group had us heading back once again to the upper Yorke Peninsular in search of solved puzzles and anything else we came across. Today it was myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats. By the end of the day we had traveled over many km's , completed 10 lab caches, added to my ever expanding DNF list, made a FTF and many new solved puzzles caches located. As the sun set over the Moonta Mines it was time to head home, stopping for a few more caches of course.
A simple mutli as we started to lose the light. Coords aobtained it took a while to find the cache due to the great camo. But the time I finally found it by torchlight the sun had just about set giving us a spectacular show of colour. FP from me for the great hide. [:X]
***Thanks Dazzatron for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

We had accommodation in Moonta for a few days, which gave us the luxury of exploring and caching at leisure.
We got the required numbers and new co-ords, but searched around for quite a while without luck. Not sure if we missed it because the soursobs are flourishing, or if we just have cache blindness.

Met up with e.gregory1 for the day to tackle the puzzle cache 'hook' component of the Gone Fishn' series while spending an extended long weekend over on Yorke Peninsula. We completed the 50 caches quicker than expected, so had plenty of time to travel up to Moonta in the afternoon to complete some of the multicaches in the area. Thanks for the cache Dazzatron!
Found with FeatherWaite while on a short trip to the Yorke Peninsula.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t too busy, although being on the last day of the Queens Birthday long weekend I guess most visitors to the area would have been on their way home.
Despite the forecast for possible showers, the rain held off and it was a beautiful day.
It didn't take long to gather the required information and calculate the final coordinates, then it was off to GZ for a quick find.
Thanks Dazzatron for the cache.

3rd DNF of 5, and only found 7. Had hoped to find all 19 we had left in Moonta but gave up as didnt want more DNFs. Most frustating day geocaching ever.

This was a great little multi, a simple calculator and off to GZ, the cache took a bit of finding, what a clever hide.
Today was a great day out, after staying in port Hughes for the night. I got up to collect a few caches around the area before I had a bike race in moonta. After racing was over I was in a mission to find my 10,000th find whilst making my way back to Adelaide. A great day out overall.

The usual Wednesday for the animals of the Puzzled Puzzlers. Plans were made for the Rat, Adder and Starfish to head to the top of the peninsular is search of a few previous DNF's and to fill the maps of Kadina and Moonta with smiling faces. An early morning call though from the Starfish letting us know that he was not well, left only the Rat and Adder to enjoy the day.
Another clever sneaky hide, we had seen this type before with one from the same CO.

A huge weekend of geocaching with Mary from Aussie M & M. We got ourselves a lovely little cottage in Kadina and made this our base. So many caches and so little time we had to target certain ones that we felt were special enough to get a visit. As per normal we fixed any that needed some love so other could find them after us.
Great hide
Thanks to Dazzatron from mogni

Another highlight for our day and for more than one reason. It started off as we arrived in Moonta and headed straight to the gelato shop, yum, yum, yum and then this was Aussie M&M's 11,000 find and it was great to be there to celebrate with them. And of course the hide itself was great and fitted into the environment perfectly oh and of course the laughs had as Aussie Mary tried to take a selfie, we all got there in the end. TFTC Dazzatron
Day 4 of a dedicated geotrip from QLD to SA to tick off lots of boxes for Kestal and Mrs Esky...today we are slowly caching our way north to Moonta travelling in the company of Aussie M & M who are driving/navigating...this is the furthest west we travelled today and was our turn around point before heading back to Adelaide.
It was a hot, hot day today with temps in the high 30s. Aussie Mark had mentioned the Moonta Coffee Barn & Gelateria several times so at the previous cache the opening times were googled...we were in luck!!! Closing time was 5pm and according to google maps we would arrive at 4:35pm...which was spot on. This was the best decision all day...definitely a highlight...the banana toffee was my favourite!!
All refreshed we were back on target with this one set to be Aussie M & M's milestone cache. A great little multi with a cleverly hidden container. A fave point for sure. TFTC Dazzatron.

With good caching friend Anna (kestal) and new caching friend Di (Eskies5) down from Toowoomba for a 4 day caching trip targetting older caches, M & M realised a milestone was about to occur.
Well much scrambling occurred by Mary on Saturday night to get our logs up to date. The caching day was mostly all about Anna and Di's caching list with some very old caches on their list. We only needed 9 caches and at the last minute, Mark decided to join us for the day, as M & M like to do bigger milestones together. Looking at the girls running sheet, we knew Moonta was where we could do our 11,000th. It was a no brainer really... We had a multi by Dazzatron's near the mining area that all 3 of us had not done.
Well that was it, we headed here, to the first waypoint, found the details, did the math, and off to seek the cache. Mark had some cache blindness, lol, and with Anna's help, the cache was in hand.
We loved the elegant simplicity of this hide and how well it blended in here. The girls had down a few other Dazzatron caches earlier in the afternoon. We have new converted to the joy of finding Dazzatron caches.
TFTC Dazza, we loved, loved, loved it. A perfect milestone cache. And a favourite from us.

What a comedy of errors! Owl collected the information over 6 years ago, but a muggle family and maths inadequacy prevented a find. Today her GPS had Owl in a completely different location. A PaF gained a find... at which point her GPS agreed with the CO's calculations. Perhaps the copper is playing havoc with her reception?
Day 4 of our rest, relaxation and rejuvination week, the relaxation side is going good with sight seeing of the mining and history areas a favorite for us all.
Geocaching however wasnt on our side with multis always causing us arguements and what felt like a day of dnfs. But a great day out with fresh air and great sights. Tftc

Hi there Dazzatron.
We found your cache **"Treuer's Treasure"** at 11:28:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 17256).
We cached around Moonta & Kadina today, & thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 6 caches (& DNF'd 4). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
We awarded this cache a favourite point for the ingenious hide.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Visiting from Canberra to see my BFF for a week or so. We decided to head out to Moonta and grab a couple caches, in particular I was chasing the Virtual in Moonta as they are not so common here in Australia.
We visited a couple different shafts today while picking up the 5 geocaches. Nice little multi which didnt take too long to work out. Caching with KBKL, SixPak69, JJMW93 and GJW95 around Moonta. Thanks for bringing us here Dazzatron

Found while caching with Team Waldron on a lovely Saturday. TFTC. A quick find which is always nice.
The long weekend presented the perfect opportunity for my wige (Tounga) and I to plan a quick get away.
So, we booked some accommodation in Moonta and decided to cache the upper Yorke Peninsula.
We had a great time, finding 129 geocaches in all.
Thanks for hinding your cache Dazzatron, we enjoyed it.
I apologise for the generic log.

Day fourteen of the short holiday with Bettyboo3747.
A day for breathing in the history of Moonta.
Lots of old mines, stone buildings, and rusting engineering stuff.
Great to see that a lot of the mines have caches at them, makes it so easy to locate them.
A very good hide here, liked it a lot.
Thanks, Robmc.

My favourite hide of the day, very clever but fairly easy to find once you have done a few of Dazzatron's caches! Thank you once again Dazzatron!
Ooh yeah !!
Another great little Dazzatron cache chase to .... chase
And after gathering clues, I soon found a likely hiding spot and a familiar cache hiding method
Still sneaky after all these finds !!

Catching up with late logs.
This is our last day of caching around Wallaroo with Alansee and Micaparamedic.
We pulled up at the required location and gathered the information and then did the math's and headed off towards gz. A little bit of a search later and we were soon adding our initials to the log. A muggle pulled up in the car park just as we were heading back to the car so our timing was perfect.
To save room in the logs we signed as M.A.C.( Micaparamedic Alansee and Team Crackers).
Thanks for the cache and a great hide, a favourite point from us.

On a caching assault of the Yorke Peninsular with alansee and Team Crackers over the last six days. We have found many caches which have proven enjoyable and sometimes challenging Alansee had worked diligently in planning routes we would take to minimize wasted kilometres driven to find the numbers we have been able to do. Most logs have been signed as MAC (micaparamedic, alansee and crackers)
Many thanks Dazzatron for placing this cache .

Found with Team Crackers and Micaparamedic. Well, after looking for quite a while I was beginning to doubt my maths! As well I should as it turned out that I couldn't count. However as luck would have it I found the clever hide after broadening my search a lot, and just as two of the others came back with the correct workings.

Today we are heading to the copper triangle to do some caches, we managed around 120 caches over the 2 days we spent here and we saw some fantastic scenery along the way, being the geowifes early childhood stomping grounds i was treated to a lot of history about quite a few of the areas and how much things have changed over time, this was a nice easy find. Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today was set aside for touring Moonta and Wallaroo. Well we had a long list and after a sleep in and problems loading the GPSr had us not even starting till 0900hrs.
We had a great day and saw lots of historic places and learnt lots about the area. The list was only just started and we never left Moonta till after dark so Wallaroo will have to be tomorrow.
All I can say is us and iluvtrekking both did the sums but we didn't all get the same answer initially Once we were all on the same page the cache was quickly located.
