This geocache goes against the guidelines and the cache owner has indicated that they have no interest in changing it. It will be archived and locked to prevent future finders.

Longevity and favourite points are not an indication of whether a cache meets the guidelines unfortunately. Screws into trees are not OK.

Fun day out with Hippy Donna, found cache, may need a bit of maintenance.

31-Aug-20
Out and about cleaning up a few caches on our ‘to do’ list and this was one of them. Have had my list compiled for this area for a long time and it’s good to now be able to log them.
This cache has suffered some damage and will need some maintenance for the ‘field puzzle’ element to stay in play.
Thanks for placing the caches in this area!

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

29-Aug-20
Cache was placed in 2012 and there hasn't been an issue till now. 87 finds almost 1/2 of them favorites. If you need to shut it down on the say so of the fun police then so be it. It will be 100% on her head that the rest of the community doesn't get to experience it. I will not be changing anything as it is ok the way it is.

29-Aug-20
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

Vandalism, geocache does not meet the Geocaching guidelines, wrong geocache type (these are field puzzles), abusive and threatening email, and Log deletion.

Hehe, one of those aMAZing caches... Twisted Once we found some natural TOTTs we got started. It was slow but going in the right direction... we made sure of that. Grabbed the cache and the next challenge began. The log was stuck tight. Some natural TOTT snapping and fiddling later, the log finally came free. TFTC griz066

26-Jul-19
Fiendish! I could not get to the cache and had to listen to Alwyn's OH NOs as she dropped it yet again. But persistence paid off and the log was signed. We have never seen one of these before but maybe one might appear somewhere near home.....

On a geocaching road trip from Brisbane to the Mega in Queanbeyan via a little detour through South Australia and Victoria.

This was a tricky one as I'm travelling solo and not too well coordinated either. Slow and steady won the cache for me here.

Tuesday. This is the last day of our return journey after staying at Carnarvon Gorge for the International Earthcache Day. Wow! Another fun cache! Loving the fun caches on the way home as it breaks up the ride fantastically. With all 3 of us working on this one, we soon had the cache up the top and in hand. Really loved this idea! Another FP coming your way! Wink

This was the 14th of 25 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***griz066***, for showing us this place. Smile

Hi there griz066.

We found your cache **"aMAZEing Strangle Hold"** today. (This makes our find count 19520).

Today we cached around Cecil Plains. The secondary aim of the day was to cache along roads we haven't traveled since we became full time grey nomads. Once we've done that we can draw another line on our wall map). Smile

We found 11 caches today (DNF'd 2) .We thoroughly enjoyed our cache raid. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels. We awarded this cache a favourite point for the novelty value.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

By now we have collected an army of flies, following us from one hide to the next. Such a quick find! Such a frustrating time trying to get the log signed! Probably caused by all the laughing. Great series of entertaining caches. This one gets a Fav point from us. Kutgw

Signed this with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!

Off for a drive and a picnic for my birthday with Ranibaskale today. We went through Dalby, to Lake Broadwater for lunch, and then continued onwards along some other roads with geocaches yet unfound by us.

We made our way to GZ and there was no trouble spotting this cache! A bit of teamwork and a few minutes later, we had the logbook and our names were added. A favourite point from us for sure!

Thanks for the crafty clevery cache, griz066! Big Grin

TFTC. We left Kingaroy this morning taking advantage of a nice sunny day to drive to our overnight stopover in Millmerran.we stopped in Cecil Plains to stretch our legs and maybe find a cache or two. On our way out of town we noticed this series. The side of the road was solid enough to hold the weight of the motor home . We did however miss the first two of the series. Never mind , an excuse to come back.

28-Sep-17
Up early this morning as were are moving on to Texas, and I want to cache but Pa wants to be off the road by midday to avoid the worst of the heat.
Pulled up on the side of the highway and walked across to the GZ. Ah ha, that's what the hint is about. I just can't believe what's happening this morning. Another cache where I have had to call on Pa to help me out.
He again knew immediately what to do and the cache was soon in my hands. My name was added to the log and all returned to rightful place. This was a whacky doozer Griz066. Thank you.

Today Youngoldfella, triciac2 and myself teamed up for a one day road trip to find a few of the new geocaches that have appeared since we have been to the various places we travelled to today. Smile
Of course some of us have found some of the geocaches along the way and at other locations others of us had not found the geocaches there. Razz
We travelled about 400km in total. I found about 14 geocaches, youngoldfella a few more and triciac2 a few more again. Big Grin
This cache was good fun. Cool We had all three of us assisting we eventually reached the cache. Cool An easy fav point issued. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.

After a great night with friends in Dalby it was time to move south today. We headed towards Milmerran but stopped for several hours in Cecil Plains. Big Grin So glad we did. [^]

Enjoyed our visit to this town, exploring and finding the swimming pool, train station, golf course, cricket oval, Apex park. The cotton farms and bales, bush track driving. All caches bar 1 had good co-ords. Cool

Haha seen this sort previously, but still love them. Fave point from us.

We are on a road trip heading to the ACT. We are towing our caravan and are enjoying traversing the back road where quite often there is an opportunity to stop and do a cache without being annoying to any other traffic. We have also based ourselves in Cecil Plains and Warialda and done some of the most enjoyable and creative caches we have ever done. We are so impressed with the standard of these caches. Fav point alloc. [^][^] Thanks to griz066.

We had an overnight stop here at Millmerrin. Up nice & early to find the caches in the Cecil Plains area.

Our aim today was to drive from Cecil Plains to the next place Millemeran and do a few caches on the way. Well, glad we did. Amazing trail and a nice variety of caches. This type of cache we had before but we had to fill up with water, well that would have not worked here I am afraid. Well done again and another favorite. TFTC griz066.

By the side of the road, at least I was out of sight of the amazing amount of traffic here Smile
Where was everyone going or coming from ?
I think we can blame CSG for the amount of traffic !!

Meanwhile in the shrubberies, I had found the cache container.. sort of !!
I still had to retrieve it [:o]
But a steady paw and a bit of muckin' about got me the prize Big Grin

23-Nov-12
9416 kms travelled in 21 days, one awesome eclipse observed near Mt Carbine in Northern Queensland and 712 cache finds, including a small handle of FTF's.

This was a trip I'd been planning for over 12 months with the main reason being to observe the solar eclipse on the morning of the 14th of November. I had decided to drive to Palm Cove and back, where my penthouse accommodation was located, while the rest of the family flew up and back. I love the drive and the unknown adventures that lay ahead; and I even think the last time I did one this big may have been for the previous eclipse in Australia which occurred over SA.

Apart from the great experiences, awesome scenery, and the characters met, the other reason to drive was to also do some serious caching, with the plan to stop at some power trails along the way including the Fruit Run and A.S. series near Stanthorpe on the way up and the Mid North Coast Wander series, just out of Port Macquarie, on the way back.

I had five days to travel each way with ten days in between spent in Palm Cove holidaying with my family. My route up took me from Melbourne to Tocumwal and up to Glenn Innes, through Toowoomba, Rockhampton and the coast road to Cairns while my route back was a bit more erratic. Heading from Cairns to Townsville then via Charters Towers to Rockhampton. From here it was through the amazing mining region to Roma then across to Dalby down through Stanthorpe (again) to Armidale, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Tocumwal and then home - phew.

Today I made my way from Roma, through Dalby and Millmerran and onto do some more of the A.S. series out of Stanthorpe that had been added; before crashing in the car in a great little spot I found just off the New England Hwy somewhere south of Tenterfield.

This cache was also now one of my all time favourite caches and I really enjoyed retrieving the cache so I could sign the log. Extremely well constructed. Well done griz066, a favourite for me.

69km from home.
We are now trying to work together to get some sort of ‘schedule’ together for making quick consecutive finds. We are planning the A.S. series down near Stanthorpe and if we can get a ‘rhythm’ going it should cut down the time to find log, and get to the next cache. So Mrs RF heads into the scrub while I start to reset the car nav for the next cache, we have also decided Mrs RF will wave or yell when she finds the cache and I can have the ‘find’ notes done by the time she gets back to the car.
Only problem is I can’t see her from the road and can’t hear her over the car (and Aircon) noise. Drop the window to hear, Help I can’t get this one out.
Stroll over to find one of the best hides I have ever come across. Soon sort out what needs to be done to get the log signed. Do the sign up and I drop the log back in place to a “NOT THAT WAY”. Thinking it wouldn’t make any difference we discuss leaving. Mummy says that the owner has asked that the cache be returned ‘exactly’ as found so we again retrieve the cache, however this time takes about 4 times longer than out first effort. We replace the cache as found and head off.
Too easy to give this very inventive hide a Favourite point.
Took nothing but memories and left nothing but our tag and footprints.

Hide, log and container are all in good nick because giggles and laughter woen’t damage them.
Thanks for the cache griz066.

19-Sep-12
Had a caching plan today to do 11 caches. Left home at 0500 and arrived home at 1700 after driving 645Klms with appropriate rest stops. Total of 7 FTF's on this run. Nanango to Hampton to Brymaroo to Cecil Plains to Inglewood to Warwick to Toowoomba and then home. Mission completed.

FTF.
Quick find at 0840. Arrived at this one and was soon at GZ. When I saw what was there straight away I knew how to tackle this one and I did not use your "everything Supplied" Why. because I did one of these in Northern NSW in March and still had my own supplied items as the CO for that one tells you what to bring but I have a caching friend who had done that one and suggested something else and I still had the something else in my caching bag. Still a very clever idea and will keep cachers amused for a few minutes. TFTC
